I was introduced to this place by a close friend. After trying their food and brilliantly crafted cocktails I found myself surrounded by a great atmosphere and lovely wait staff. We love Jose he is our guy and will take care of you just as much as the rest of the staff everyone is very nice and the food is spectacular.

Delicious!! Great staff ! We stuck to small plates and sushi. Sushi was a bit backed up but no worries small plates came out quickly and were tasty. Sushi was also great and kinda worked as a finisher. Drinks were awesome we enjoyed a sake flight and cocktails. Foods were: Sushi: Baja California roll Gyu: Wagyu Mekabetsu: Brussels sprouts with mustard sauce Gyoza: were not our favorite would honestly skip next time Karaage: Japanese style fried chicken sweet/spicy sauce ! Yum Cocktails: 6 Feet Apart ( gin based) yum When is it going to be here ( tequila based) YUM Dewazakura Sampler ( this was our first sake experience and it was very pleasant) Awesome place would highly recommend, we sat outside, great atmosphere and heaters!

Great Japanese restaurant in Danville's Livery. We like that we can make reservations at this restaurant especially on a weekend when it's quite busy. It has a fair amount of seating inside the restaurant as well as outdoors with a few portable heaters. The staff is courteous and attentive despite it being a busy night when we were there. Food was delicious and we were served very quickly. I was amazed at how quickly everything was prepared. We had several sushi rolls, Salmon dinner, and Okonomiyaki (prawn and cabbage pancake). All the rolls and salmon dinner were great! The Okonomiyaki could be better; it was just too doughy for me. Overall, the experience was good.

We came for my brother's birthday and had a great time. We dined outside, had delicious drinks and the food was outstanding. Also enjoyed the music selection that played. Overall, just a really great dining experience!

Ordered takeout for my virtual holiday party and was pleasantly surprised with the quality and freshness of the fish. We tried the spicy garlic edamame and karage chicken and both great. And the tempura was excellent considering it was takeout and not really warm when we had it. The tempura was still crispy. We will definitely be back again!

Amazing food, great service, even gave our compliments to the chef. The sashimi was excellent quality and expertly cut. Highly recommend the spicy garlic edamame as a side. Overall, would definitely go back and enjoy again.

Aozora at Danville serves Japanese cuisine of various flavors and style. We ordered Sapporo Beer, Sangria and Masumi Arabashiri for drinks, Avacado Maki and Karaage for Starters; and the main course was Jidori Chicken Dinner Plate, Inari Nigiri, Chef’s Assorted Sashimi and Tempura served with pickled ginger. The entire meal was fresh, well cooked, authentic and delicious. A pleasure to dine there.

It was a very pleasant experience for us! We drove to that place specifically because of its rating, and the food turned out to be delicious. If you don’t want to wait for your order during the rush hours, I would recommend arriving at 5 pm. We were the only one at the place for some time.

We came to Aozora Japanese Restaurant to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. She absolutely loved it. We ordered the Cherry Blossom, Salmon Lover, and Under the Sea sushi rolls, and every single one was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Everything paired perfectly with a Japanese IPA and a Sapporo, which made the meal even better.The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the night, which really added to the overall experience. To top it all off, before we left they surprised us with a birthday dessert for her, which thoughtful.Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere. We'll definitely be coming back, highly recommend for a special occasion or date night.

We received a gift card for this place and went in with zero knowledge. The spicy garlic edamame was a welcome surprise and def worth to get. I think every single drink is overpriced and it's better to get another sushi roll that might even be cheaper. The fish was super good and all the rolls while a bit pricey were very tasty. Hot tea is $2 a person, not on the menu? The fire warming stations outside are nice and fun. Our waiter was fine, the waitstaff were great. I would only come back with another giftcard as this price per roll is high. But i did enjoy my time.

We had a spider roll, Baja California roll, evil roll, hamachi, tempura, edamame, chicken karaage(!!!!), and a few others. The only food item I wasn’t crazy about was the card because it was a bit fishy. Otherwise everything was excellent. However this place is severely understaffed. We sat here and ate for almost 3 hours. The food came out as such a bizarre pace, we had the main entrees before anything else. However that said I do want to come back once they have worked out the kinks

Disappointed because this place is so close to home. Service felt cold and unwelcoming, and our server was unenthusiastic. The sashimi didn’t taste fresh, and I experienced stomach issues later that night which is what ultimately prompted me to write this review.

We arrived at 8.50 pm and got sent away stating the restaurant is closed. The server was non-courteous in doing so, upon pointing out the incorrect timing posted on their website and Google showed no remorse. Definitely a wrecker for our evening.

But serving customers with mediocre food at the level of cheap sushi stores at this price point is unacceptable. Aozora, please control your food quality. I’ve been your fan & loyal customer but now find it very challenging to convince myself to visit your restaurant again.

We were there on a Sunday night. It wasn’t very busy and we waited 40 minutes for our food. 2 times we were brought someone else’s food. The portion size was very small like each plate was for a child. Very disappointing. Definitely not worth the price.
