Wissota Chophouse - De Pere

Chrissy provided our private party with excellent t service. She was attentive throughout the whole meeting. The 3 courses were served promptly and all who attended were very pleased!

The food was absolutely divine. The staff was friendly. Our server Anastacia was super prompt, and attentive. One of my new favorite places for date night.

Bonnie the manager was the best, so welcoming. Food and drinks were delicious!

Everything was so delicious! Atmosphere was perfect. Staff were great!

The barstender Sarah is amazing and colorful. But the music for restaurant is horrible. Needs not to be elevator saxophone music. Putting me to sleep after a long days work. The food I had was amazing and delicious. But overall an elegant experience.

Amazing food and amazing service. This hotel and restaurant are both exceptional and their servers are top notch. Sarah and Josie made us so comfortable while staying in Green Bay. Drinks! Food! Atmosphere!! Go pack go!

Steak, scallops, garlic mashed, brussel sprouts, oysters, crab cakes, blue cheese wedge, carrot cake... everything was phenomenal!

We went here without ever hearing of it before. We loved it! It was for a special birthday occasion, and we were very pleased. Our server was very attentive, and informative. Food was delicious. Prices are a little spendy for this area, but the shareable sides were plenty for us. The chocolate cake we shared for dessert was one of the best things I ever tasted. Plentiful enough that we took some home.

This place is a hidden gem in DePere! I’m fortunate enough to have stumbled onto Wissota Chophouse since I’m staying at the Cobblestone Inn in DePere. Not only have I had what may be the best meal I’ve ever had, but the cocktails are top notch as well! If you happen to stop in and Kayla is behind the bar, ask for the Peachy Boots! Kayla may be the sweetest person you’ll ever encounter and she makes a great cocktail!! They had a crab-stuffed mushroom appetizer that was served on a creamed asparagus…it was simply amazing!! Thanks to Autumn and her kitchen crew. They aren’t open on Sundays or Mondays, but any other day run, don’t walk and have a dining/drinking experience that you won’t forget anytime soon!

Amazing, classy, delicious! This was our first experience eating here and it was fantastic. We had the crab cakes, sea bass and scallops, and all were excellent.Josie was our server, and she was attentive and thoughtful. I would highly recommend for a special occasion or nice dinner out. Happy hour specials, appetizers and desserts are excellent as well. We will be back!

I came to De Pere for my daughter's gymnastics meet and headed to Wissota with the other parents... Bonnie was our server and was awesome! She went above and beyond for us! HIGHLY recommend!!

Geat atmosphere and service. The steaks could use some improvements, 7/10 though. I think the sous vide method is used. Adding spices and or butter inside the bag helps keep it more juicy and flavorful. Drinks were spot on. Everything else we ordered was spot on. Just thinking of ways they could up the steak flavor and texture some more. No complaints.

First time at Wissota Chophouse. Celebrated my birthday with my husband and two other couples. The food was fabulous, great atmosphere, fantastic service and an amazing Lemon drop martini. We were treated to the mole high carrot cake that was oh so delicious. We were so impressed. We found another favorite place to dine and have cocktails. Thanks to everyone who made our first experience memorable. We will be back. The Prawns were fabulous. Others had lobster tails, sea bass and the lamb chops. No one was disappointed.

This place is absolutely fantastic, and seriously one of the best meals and restaurants in Green Bay. From the appetizers to the steak and service, everything was done to perfection. Yes, you will pay a bit more than other local steakhouses, but you won't find the service or food quality anywhere near Wissota Chophouse. A really great dining experience!

Delicious food, nice atmosphere and amazing service. My husband and I went opening weekend and enjoyed the food and wine. The service was a little slow, but not bad, and it was opening weekend so I’m sure they were working out the kinks. We returned Valentines Day with 2 children and had the perfect dinner. Appetizers, salads, bread, entrees and desserts were all perfectly cooked. The service was top notch. Atmosphere is nice. Tables spaced far enough apart that you don’t feel like you are sitting on top of the other diners. This is a bit on the pricey side, but in line with any high end steak house, and we feel worth the expense. We’ve enjoyed: Apps: calamari, crab cakes, fried olives My son ate the entire bread board alone last night. It was dill bread and he raved about it! Salads: house, caprese Entrees/sides: filet, sea bass, truffle Mac and cheese, blue cheese risotto, mushroom risotto, mashed potatoes, asparagus. Desserts: raspberry tiramisu, 32 ounce root beer float

First timer. Took out of town business partners here with a "lets take a chance on this place I've never tried..." approach. I can't think of any one thing about the experience that wasn't outstanding. Outstanding. I am a huge fan and loyal to the usual names in town but Wissota is now on the "when it has to be absolutely right" list. Prices are on the high end but - worth it.

My family and I came here for my brothers birthday and had easily the best burger in Green Bay… not your average butter burger, think wagyu. The server Josie was attentive and had great recommendations. Highly recommend the mocktails, wedge salad, and my dad thoroughly enjoyed his porterhouse with the bearnaise enhancement. 5 stars,

Our server was amazing, good drinks, possibly the best crab cakes I’ve ever had (we ordered a second plate they were so good). It is a la cart so you can just pick and choose all you options which is nice. I’m sure we will be back to try other items!

Fantastic service! We were there for a few days, and Bonnie knew our order and made us feel like we were regulars at a neighborhood spot every time we dined!

Enjoyed an early birthday dinner with a friend. We shared the burger, so juicy and tasty! Tried the goat cheese balls, the sauce made them! Can not wait for our next visit! The staff was excellent as well! Nice addition to DePere!

Absolutely wonderful dinner! Every appetizer, soup, salad, and steak item were perfection. What a great addition to the area’s restaurant selection. I was only sorry about one thing; not going here sooner. Check it out!

I decided to unwind after a looong day! I made the decision to pop into Wissota ChopHouse in DePere. Upon entering, I was greeted by numerous partygoers who kept the place upbeat and lively. I ordered a Moscow Mule and it tasted as if it came from Moscow! Sarah whipped this drink up in a jiffy and it tasted incredible as soon as it hit my lips! Sarah kept the vibes amazing and was the life of a party! Sarah is the most amazing bartender on the planet! This place is amazingly awesome!

Outstanding food, service and atmosphere! We ate here last night for the first time and absolutely every aspect of our experience was incredible! We enjoyed the crab cakes, fig & honey goat cheese balls, prawns, gnocchi, and mushroom risotto. All plates were mouth watering and delightful! The service was impeccable. We will be back!

Great outside seating area, nice tables, heaters, and good atmosphere. Service was excellent bartenders were great waitress was very on top of things keeping area clean and very attentive to customers. Steaks on the expensive side.

The waitstaff was extremely friendly and attentive. The food and drinks were very appetizing with great choices. My issue was that my steak was overcooked. That being said, it still was very tender, the tell it was a quality cut. We had tickets for a show after dinner and were tight on time. Instead of sending it back, I chose to enjoy my meal regardless. The waitstaff did ask if both of our steaks and lobster tails were cooked to our preference and did offer to replace anything to their credit. The appetizers and bread were fantastic, as were our cocktails. My only fault is I would expect a chophouse to be able to prepare a ribeye to a consistent medium without fault... its a chophouse!

Everything was tasty, but not above and beyond. Steaks were all cooked perfect. Asparagus was cold, risotto was stiff, Scallops were nice. For what they charge I expect perfection on the food. Not a bad spot by any means. Service was great!

Disappointing. No seasoning on the lobster or risotto and no salt and pepper at the table. Lobster was served without a lemon. I asked for a lemon and was given a slice, like a garnish for a drink. Poor service. It was like we didn’t have a server. I had to flag down whoever was nearby for refills, salt & pepper, lemon, and an extra plate. My boyfriend enjoyed his flatbread, so we may go back just for appetizers someday, but not a nice meal.

Visited Wissota for the first time tonight. We were seated quickly with our reserved party, the dining area was pleasant and the table was nicely set. Our server was polite and appropriately attentive. We ordered appetizers, drinks, soups, entrees and desserts totaling over $400 for our table. Pricey but not insane compared to other chop house places. Appetizers were just OK. Our lobster bisque had no meat in it, flavor was good but lacking in actual lobster. The Brussels sprouts were soggy and cold. The mushroom risotto was a nice texture, but also cold and lacked flavor. The prawns were gigantic and perfectly cooked. The scallops were also large and nicely cooked. The two at our table who ordered steak were both disappointed in the doneness (over cooked) and lack of flavor/seasoning. The desserts were large and tasted good. The biggest loss of points for me, though, was that as we were sitting and chatting after our meal, some with unfinished drinks, instead of coming to ask if there was anything else we wanted, another server (manager maybe?) came over and told us another party needed our table and (politely) asked us to leave. There were other vacant and cleared tables nearby and we were not raucous by any means. If I’m going to spend over $200 on a meal (honestly, any amount on a meal, but especially that much), I expect to be able to relax and enjoy my experience. Not be kicked out without cause. This was a first and last visit for us.

It was okay. Service was very friendly, although slow. Ordered the 14 oz ribeye rare and it came out medium. Water didn’t get refilled and other tables received bread service while our table did not. Prices seemed elevated for what you get. Shrimp was overcooked.

I was really hoping for more here. Ordered a medium/rare steak. Steak came out way over cooked with no juiciness to it. The macaroni and cheese had a weird after flavor to it. The bread was the only highlight of this meal. Server was polite and offered a free desert, and I had her pack it for take home. Got home and opened it....small ice cream scoop of a very soggy raspberry tiramisu that looked nothing like tiramisu. $124.00 for just the meal and drinks, $150.00 with the tip. Definitely not worth it to me, and the disappointment will keep me from going back. Only three stars for atmosphere, because it seemed too dark and gave a sort of depressing feeling, so I opted to sit outside and dine.

The service was super slow. We had ordered the bacon appetizer which was amazing, however we were ready to order our meal shortly after ordering our appetizer. The server did not take our dinner order until after we were done with our appetizer. She came to see how the bacon was and we were going to tell her that we were ready to order but she quickly moved on so we couldn’t. I got the lobster bisque and it was ok. The petite tenderloin was decent, too much pepper and I didn’t get the cracked pepper on it when offered. My boyfriend got the New York strip and it was pretty fatty and not a good cut. The atmosphere was decent. The prices aren’t worth the quality.

Was not impressed by Wissota at all. We waited a long time to be greeted at our table by our server, our food took about 45-50 minutes from ordering, and i ordered a 10 oz filet prepared medium and one side of it was completed charred making it inedible. When the issue with the steak was brought to a managers attention, she made the excuse that because it’s a thicker steak that it would automatically be charred like that. However, my fiancés steak was a 10oz filet cooked med-well and his had a normal crust on it. The steaks and sides did not have any flavor and were not seasoned, and over all it was just a bad experience. We will not be returning.

We had dinner at this establishment this last Saturday evening. We don’t mind spending money on a good meal, but the food took forever and did not come out all at the same time. My wife was nearly done eating by the time I got my plate, and when the meal did make it out it was cold. Very disappointing. My plate alone was over $100, which in my mind is not acceptable especially at that price for that quality. Everyone else at the table basically was in agreement that we wouldn’t go back and there are far better places to get a meal in the area.

Customers Beware: Extremely disappointed with the outcome of the evening and the way this business is operated. My wife and I were given a gift card for Wissota by a client and chose to go out for the evening. At the end of the evening, we were met with the head of house after our server was having issues with our gift card not working. She came back stating the gift card is not valid to be used at this location. Puzzled by this as it is a Wissota Chophouse branded gift card, we presented the receipt with the gift card showing the amount on the card. We were then informed as the gift card was purchased at a different Wissota location, they would not be able to honor it at all. Nothing was done at all to try and rectify or correct the issue. There is not a single place on the gift card, the receipt or anywhere in the verbiage stating only valid at the purchased location. As there are multiple Wissota locations in the area, how is any customer supposed to know this? This is an absolute poor way to run and operate a business/franchise.  Now I am sitting with an empty pocket, a gift card for a business I can not recommend, will not recommend, and will never attend again.

The table was tilting the entire time, if you are a middle age and look well off you will be fine but if you are younger good luck getting service took us 30 mins to get our waters let alone order. We were dressed decent as well.

Food was cold. Potatoes were bad. The manager had to remind our waitress to go get our food. We got sat at a bar top table when we had reservations. Had to ask multiple times for the check. Will not be going back.not sure if we came on a bad night but Disappointed to say the least.

Went out with my wife, son and daughter-in-law for my first visit there. Our filets were over cooked and very dry, quite possibly the worst filet I have ever had. When we talked to the GM about it, she said they could bring new ones out for us. I declined as it took 30 minutes for our food to come out after ordering and i was starving by that time. She offered to bring out a demi glase to help with the dryness but that took another 20 minutes before she returned with it. As we waited, my steak was now getting cold so I just finished it. We were offered free deserts to try and make up for it but we declined as we had to be somewhere. When we were presented our checks, we were charged for everything. I asked the GM if she could remove the charge for the fillet and she said she couldn't since I ate most of it. She eventually (very reluctantly) took off half of the filet price which was something I guess, but not something that I feel was enough. I will not be back and will not recommend anyone going there.

I have a gift card for Wissota Chophouse. I went to a Wissota Chophouse last night and ate dinner. I STILL have a Wissota Chophouse gift card. Apparently, the gift cards are only accepted at the Wissota Chophouse where the gift card was purchased... The only indication was in the very fine print on the back of the card where it mentions the city where it was purchased. Borderline scam when it's not communicated or advertised up front. I have never seen a franchise accept a gift card at only one location. I was told they have separate owners (obviously - it's a franchise) and their POS systems are different at each location. The manager was polite and said they are working on fixing the problem. So, Wissota ownership will happily keep the revenue where the gift card was purchased AND the revenue I was duped out of in De Pere. Now I am stuck with a gift card I can't redeem or return. Passing ownership/POS problems onto the customer is a terrible look. Either stop issuing gift cards, eat the cost yourself, or do what 99.9% of franchises do and accept your franchise branded gift cards.

Overpriced! It was so loud I couldn’t hear what was being said at our table. It was like being at the local tavern. Service was awful. Our waitress was too busy tending bar and chatting to take care us. Steaks were not grilled correctly, mushrooms in the risotto were rubbery. I was a guest of the people who made the reservation. For all of us, it was our first and last time at Wissota
