This was our second trip to Soseki We didn’t think they could get any better They surpassed our first trip there The delicate elegance in every course showed their passion and commitment to excellence. We were treated like royalty for my Birthday dinner We can’t stress enough our complete joy and satisfaction Well done again Gregg and Suzie

Soseki’s To - Go Chirashi box is “out of this world”! This rice and sashimi bowl has been my firm favorite for many years. I’ve been fortunate to enjoy Chirashi bowls in many outstanding Japanese restaurants around the world including in Japan. Soseki’s I now rate as the very best.

Soseki was truly a memorable experience! The locally sourced edible masterpieces never disappointed course after beautiful course! Also - thank you for making the birthday boy’s night extra special!

First heard about them through an online foodie group a while ago and attended their first popup omakase experience. I was really excited to see what they could really do when they announced that they had finished building their physical location. I decided to use my sister's birthday as an excuse to book a reservation for their spring menu. The way they integrated several nigiri courses to separate the main courses was genius since it keeps you in suspense. The pacing and ordering of the dishes were also spot on and I felt the timing was perfect. It was crazy once we realized that 2 hours had actually passed since it seemed like the meal only lasted 30 minutes. Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. My favorites were the scallop nigiri, A5 Wagyu nigiri, king crab, and the duck. At the end of the meal, I was not too bloated since it's a good amount of food to get you satisfied. If you're wondering whether this place is worth the splurge, don't hesitate to book a reservation, you won't regret it. I'm actually planning on booking another reservation for my birthday so that I can try out their fall menu. Can't wait to see what they have to offer and hope to dine here again in the near future.

This is hands down my favorite eating experience in Orlando yet. Let's dive in. This One-Star Michelin resturant truly is justified based off my somewhat recent visit. All ingredients are obtained locally, and as far as fish goes obtained from a fish market in Port orange where they get overnight deliveries from Japan. These two things alone are worth coming here for. At a base price of $250 per person you might be wondering, is it worth it? YES! truly unimaginable flavor combinations that rotate seasonly based off availability. Boluga cavier, and A5 Wagyu are just some of the things our meal consisted of. Basically, You will eat things you simply can't get or prepared elsewhere. I would say this is definitely worth a special occasion. If you are shy of seafood then it may not be up your alley, but that being said, if you are on the fence, this could swing you. It's a Omakase so that should be disclaimer enough of what will be served. The staff are top notch. My hats off to every single person who was involved. Their knowledge and expertise truly shine when it comes to their craft. We can't wait to try another rotation at another time to compare. As we are locals we are definitely blessed to watch over how this place grows.

What a great experience. It was like a dinner show with how coordinated everyone was. From the hosts to the chefs I felt as if my every need was met. Delicious food and a great atmosphere.

Went here for the first time about a month ago, this was truly the best meal I've ever had in my life. All the sushi was exceptional and every dish was delicious. the caviar with tuna at the bottom served with these purple rice crisps was one of my favorite dishes as well as the egg custard with shrimp and corn. Also definitely get the drink pairing as it really elevates the meal with drinks that compliment everything. At the end of the meal they give you a menu with everything you were served so you can remember the meal as they serve a different menu every day based on what ingredients are available which is very nice.

Michelin Stars can't be bought, they have to be earned, and Soseki certainly earned theirs. DAMN IT'S GOOD! Reservations are a must, and there are 2 seatings, 5:30 and 8:30. You'll spend the best 2+ hours of recent restaurant memory here.

R
Rob Deck

For years Victoria & Alberts was the top restaurant in the Greater Orlando Area. They've been dethroned by Soseki. While reservations can sometimes be difficult, it would be a disservice to your mind, body, and palate, to miss the opportunity to indulge in the life- changing experience Soseki offers while in town

A

I love this place!!!! What I love the most is the variety. You get unique dishes to start and end the meal and in between you get nigiri tastings. I thought the wine pairing was spot on as well.

Ok, so we, hopefully, all know that the Michelin Guide is coming to Orlando this year. And I have found a place that will for-sure be getting at least one star for our inaugural year with the guide. I've heard some pretty credible hype about this place since it opened about a year ago. It was different from the other omakase offerings in the city. So, I made a reservation for a December weekend and checked it out. So it's barely noticeable. You'll pass it without even seeing it from the main street. It's tucked away very cozily into a strip mall outside of downtown Winter Park. And also, each seating for their omakase is for only 10 people. That's it, that's the entire business, two 10-people seatings a day. It's very different from anything in Orlando. So we got in, got escorted to the back room, and got started. I want to say that if you choose to get the drink pairing here, they will guide you through everything you'll want to know about the drink, which specific courses/food items it pairs with, and if you finish your drink before that course is over, they will give you a refill. Yea, it's really sweet. I recommend. The courses started coming, and the sushi chefs were right in front of us preparing everything right before your eyes. I'm not going to go through course-by-course, but I will highlight some of the high points. First of all, the first little taste they gave us involved uni. So that was starting off with a bang. Big fan. Appetizers. Caviar, pork belly, scallops. All combined expertly with other ingredients to really bring out their hidden flavor abilities. Singing in your mouth. As the MC is describing the dish, he lets you know where the ingredients come from, including quite a few which come from the local Winter Park Farmers Market, which I love. Keep on keeping it local, guys. Then, after an, um, effective palate cleanser, came the nigiri. The main idea of omakase, I think. Fresh fish nigiri, expertly crafted, no soy sauce necessary, lol. Just pick it up, close your eyes, and eat it, and you'll be pleasantly happy with these pieces of fish. Then, a soup and a main plate kind of thing. The last savory thing I ate was a dish with duck confit, sea scallops, and mushroom risotto. And these sushi chefs showed off their skills and made all of it delicious, too. Not a single critique. A couple of fun desserts, and then the end. We got a paper menu of everything we ingested that night, and left, desperately wanting second helpings of various things we had eaten. Alas, I guess I'll just have to come back.

Small intimate space, wonderful staff, they cared for our experience and even went out of their way to ensure our young daughter enjoyed the offerings. Small dishes or single bites every course. It’s chef bar style, with just 10 spots, so don’t expect a restaurant feel. The menu varies but we had a fish centric menu when we went and it was absolutely fantastic. It’s about the experience and the local products combined with specific imports. We were so happy and impressed. Just book your reservation and come ready for a beautiful experience.

As a self-proclaimed disliker of fish I was reasonably a little skeptical about dining at an omakase restaurant, but because of my previous Michelin star dining experiences I had learned to go in with an open mind and I'm sure glad that I did because the food was amazing. When it comes to sushi, quality and preparation are key and Soseki excels at both. I walked away that night with a new appreciation for fish and I have spent every week since my visit longing to go back. It was well worth the wait, the money and the trip. Highlights for me included the sea trout, saltwater eel, and of course the aged fatty tuna.

11/10 evening. The wonderful service team is warm and full of fascinating details on the food and drink. The chefs created one beautiful bite after another. I really recommend the tea pairing- it's an unusual option for omakase that really added so mich to the meal.

Everything was phenomenal! We went for the 8:30pm seating (which had more courses to try) and added the beverage pairing (I HIGHLY recommend), and was very impressed by the interactions with the chefs and sommelier, their wealth of experience, professionalism, and most importantly, their ability to create delicious courses and pair them expertly with the right wines. By the end of dinner, I felt my appetite was thoroughly satisfied. I would definitely come again. Great place to take a date too!

The staff running Soseki made our first Michelin-star restaurant experience amazing. The food was absolutely incredible, but hand to God, I would return for the service alone. Chef Michael, the sommelier, and the host were courteous and professional as could be, but they were also fun! They cracked jokes here and there, the chef would answer questions about their work during service, I could go on. We were there for my wife's birthday, before we left they gave her a birthday card and a soseki wooden pen in a nice little display box. Such a nice thing of them to do.

Amazing dinner for people who love to taste new things! Their menu changes every month so it's a new experience every time. The sushi were very fresh and delicious. The other dishes like the scallop and risotto were very tasty and filling. Make sure you go with the drink pairing with your meal. You won't regret it!

We came here for a team outing last night, and if anyone has the opportunity to come to this amazing omakase experience: Don't walk: RUN! Chef Mike was incredible and so knowledgeable about his ingredients. I am a huge foodie, so learning about the regions of the ingredients as well as the preparation had me geeking out. Chef Stone, Chef Kevin, Chef Mike V were also so amazing and fun to chat with while they took extra care preparing each of our courses. Each bite told a story and I was honestly a little heartbroken when we got to dessert because I knew our experience was coming to an end. All of the food was decadent and unique and I wanted to stay the entire night! And an important shout out to Benjamin and Joshua for adding a special touch to this experience. They served our party with utmost professionalism, but were also very laid back and easy to talk to. Overall, the food was incredible, but their newly appointed Michelin star I'm sure can also be accredited by the exquisite atmosphere and the company from the team that works there. I hope I have the opportunity to come back in the near future!

We have been to Soseki 4 times at this point and have attended each of their popup prior to them being in their existing space. The experience at Soseki in Orlando is truly unforgettable. The omakase, meaning "chef's choice," allowed us to sit back, relax and let the chefs at Soseki take the lead. They expertly curated a customized tasting menu featuring the freshest ingredients and unique flavor combinations. Each dish was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. In addition to the amazing food, Soseki also impressed me with their beautiful atmosphere and exceptional service and their dedication to using local goods from vendors here in Florida The traditional Japanese decor and serene ambiance were the perfect backdrop for the omakase experience, and the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was perfect. In conclusion, I would highly recommend Soseki for anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience that incorporates locally sourced ingredients. The combination of delicious food, beautiful atmosphere, and exceptional service make Soseki a must-visit for food lovers in the Orlando area. I look forward to returning and trying more of their amazing dishes.

We had an amazing team dinner at Soseki. Probably the best sushi I’ve ever had. Two of the people in our party are self described “picky” eaters and one person who didn’t even like sushi, but everyone loved all of the dishes. Benjamin was very hospitable and even put together a Sake only pairing menu. Soseki is absolutely deserving of their Michelin Star

Soseki is one of the few Michelin star restaurants in Orlando. It offers an extravagant omakase experience. Their menu changes every season. Our favorite dish was the tuna caviar tar tar. We highly recommend them for a unique dining experience. Chefs and Staff were knowledgeable and friendly.

We tried the Soseki Steppingstone omakase experience. Every bite was delicious craftsmanship by Chefs Kevin, Vanessa, Patrick, and Yedo. The fish is sourced daily straight from Japan (even the uni!). We added the sake flight, which paired wonderfully with the menu. We left satisfied but not stuffed (if you're craving more afterwards, hop over to Bar Kada for delicious drinks and elevated comfort food!). The staff is wonderful. Their personalized service truly made us feel like we were dining with friends. Thank you to Renee, Jordan, and Abraham for your attentiveness and patience (we love Tako-san and friends). Thank you to everyone in front & back of house for making this experience possible! We can't wait to come back next time we're in Orlando!! 😊💖

First things first, the hype is real and you will not soon forget your experience at Soseki. Ok read on if you want to know more… Upon arrival we were greeted and shown to our seats at the expansive and beautiful sushi bar. We opted for the drink pairing, which I highly recommend. Ben, the sommelier, did a wonderful job of curating a great drink pairing throughout the courses. Chef Mike Collantes and his team have done a wonderful job of elevating and perfecting each course so that each ingredient shines and the preparation in which it was prepared is apparent. True highlights were the caviar and tuna tartare course as well as the uni course. Incredibly rare and high end ingredients make for a truly amazing experience. The pacing of the courses and the choices of when each was carefully selected screams of intention and scrutiny. I highly recommend that you do make a reservation as soon as possible, but leave a seat for me!

What an excellent dining experience from beginning to end. The food was superb and service was impeccable. The staff was very attentive and very thoughtful. They source their ingredients to find the best local and Japanese ingredients as well as keeping sustainability in mind. I will definitely come back here whenever I’m in the Orlando area. Great job! Well deserving of their Michelin Star!

An Unforgettable Experience at Soseki: Food and Hospitality at Its Finest My husband and I traveled from St. Louis to Florida to visit the Space Coast, and we chose Soseki as our premier dining experience for the trip. While the evening didn’t unfold as we had hoped, it became unforgettable for reasons that speak volumes about both the cuisine and the people behind it. My husband fell ill the day before our reservation (upset stomach) and was unable to participate in the omakase experience we had booked. From the moment the staff realized what was happening, they treated us with extraordinary kindness and grace. They ensured my husband was as comfortable as possible throughout the evening and even went so far as to brew him Tulsi basil tea to help soothe his stomach. This level of thoughtfulness and care was completely unexpected and deeply appreciated. As for the food: the omakase was nothing short of exceptional. Every course was precise, inventive, and beautifully balanced. It was an experience that fully lives up to its Michelin star, and then some. While we couldn’t share the experience together as planned, the compassion and professionalism shown by the team turned what could have been a stressful and uncomfortable night into one we will always remember fondly. True hospitality isn’t just about what’s on the plate - it’s about how guests are treated when things don’t go according to plan. Soseki excelled on every level. Thank you.

We had a fantastic experience last night celebrating our daughter‘s birthday. It has an elevated vibe, and you can make the experience as fun as you want to. We had so much fun! The chefs and servers are happy, impeccable and gracious. The food was simply fantastic for all your senses. We further elevated the experience with fresh truffles from Italy, A5 Wagyu beef, and the Voyager wine pairing. Shout out to the team, Tony, Gama, Nick, Lexi, Matthew, Colin, Jordan, Vanessa and Leila. Please be aware this is a special experience and it is very very very expensive. Highest recommendation.

Absolutely loved Soseki and can't wait to go again! The meal starts off with amazing small bites. I think my favorite of the three was the ninoyaki (creme fraiche and onion jam). It was an explosion of flavor. The nigiri was also so tasty. The wine pairing selected by Colin were on point. Overall, all the chefs as well as Colin made the experience fun and even educational.

Absolute food magic. I’ve been once after my brother went three times and insisted I go but I normally say I don’t like fish. Well it turns out I don’t like fish at chain restaurants. Each sushi course here was buttery and mild but unique and they added delicate seasonings that I can’t even describe. Truly food magic. I sincerely hope they get a second star because to me this is tied with Victoria and Albert’s as the best Michelin restaurant in Orlando. All the others were simply a really good meal. Those two are absolutely on another level. Also shout out to the tea pairing as a magical, fun, unique non-alcoholic pairing option! Usually I feel like if you don’t want alcohol you are left without anything creative. Not here! And of course the service and interactions with the chefs were impeccable. If you can afford the hefty price tag, it is well worth it!

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday dinner. This was my first Omakase experience in this very intimate setting. There were only 10 seats available in our time slot and I was able to get a reservation a few days out only because someone cancelled their reservation. Upon entering we were greeted and seated in our seats facing the kitchen, you get to watch the chef prepare all of the food right in front of you. I really appreciated knowing the menu consisted with a majority of local ingredients and not just a normal Omakase where they just import all of the fish from somewhere around the world. We were told the back story of the ingredients used and it made things a lot more interesting. We also had a great time talking to the chefs they were really nice and even gave us recommendations to try out during our stay in Orlando. Overall I would say this experience is a must try. I don't have a specific favorite dish since they were amazing in their own right. I'll definitely come back in the future when I'm town. Also finding out they recently received a Michelin star made total sense now. Wouldn't be surprised if they got another after seeing the passion they put into every dish prepared.

Wonderful omakase that elevates Orlando dining to another level. We had an amazing time, the food is so creative, meticulously thought and prepared, Mike and staff are so full of energy and humor. A truly remarkable experience. Recommend the tea service, it was mind-blowing good.

Prepare for some of, if not the best sushi you’ve ever had in a cozy yet sleek and contemporary omakase setting. The tasting menu was beautiful and incredibly delicious, with each course presented with perfect detail and exquisite precision. We loved getting to watch the expert technique of each piece of nigiri being crafted, hearing about each ingredient and how it was selected with care, and experiencing such immense creativity and talent. I appreciated being told what utensil should be used for each dish and the intended order in which to try things. It’s clear how much they care about the experience they provide to each guest, from the moment you arrive all the way through to the end. A place like Soseki will make it very hard for you to ever want sushi anywhere else!

This was our second time here (1st was over 2yrs ago), and it was even better than we remembered. It was an honor dining with you and we can’t wait to come back!

By Florida standard, well deserved one-star. And let’s leave it at that. I’ve been here twice and both times I was impressed. This time around, the surprise was the caneles. When we told them this was the best caneles we’ve ever had, they told us it took them two weeks and over like 15 tries to get it right. Hard to get a caramelized crust crisp on the outside and moist & “chewy” on the inside.

D
Doug Pollack

Excellent! Some of the best individual dishes I’ve ever had - like the oyster and caviar ones. I’ve been to many Michelin restaurants and the food at this one may have been the best across the board. Usually, you get some great dishes, some very good ones, and a couple that are just ok. Not at Soseki! Each dish was either great or exceptional! The quality of the ingredients and the care they take in preparing the dishes shines through. Be prepared to sit at a “sushi bar” though - with only about 10 seats in total. It is a small, but highly personalized experience that takes about 2 hours in total. The prices are high, but worth it. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone!

M
Mariko Lochridge

A truly delightful experience! Every aspect of the evening was thoughtfully prepared and intentionally designed. The food is beautiful but my favorite part was the playlist and lighting which is curated by a team member to elevate the entire dining experience. If you are looking for a traditional Japanese omakase sushi experience this is not the place to go. If you’re a foodie that loves seasonal dishes and a symphony of textures and flavors that surprise with every course then you’re in for a treat! I’m very glad to see that Orlando restaurants are sharing dining options that were previously only accessible in LA or New York. Added note: We had the full two hour course + sake tasting experience.

Everything delicious and top notch. We came for my husbands birthday. Although the sushi tasting at soseki was a culinary delight, I was disappointed by the minimal acknowledgment of the birthday. While they kindly said "happy birthday," the absence of any special birthday treat or gesture felt underwhelming, particularly considering the significant investment for this experience. It would have added a memorable touch to an otherwise exceptional dining experience.

What a fabulous meal! Every bite of every dish was utterly delicious and meticulously prepared. The staff, from chef to greeter, are all professional, relaxed, and welcoming. One of the best omakase meals I've ever had.

I took my wife for her birthday. We ordered the dining experience with wine pairing and caviar. Really amazing experience, great people, and the food was amazing. They even gave my wife a nice birthday card and gift! One of the top 3 food experiences we have had anywhere in the world. Highly recommend!

This was our second time here (1st was over 2yrs ago), and it was even better than we remembered. The beverage pairing was flawless, the courses were immaculate and very local, and the service was top shelf. 500/10 plan on coming back. The experience being different every month makes it a great repeat if you can treat yourself.

Excellent in every way, with great attention to detail. All of the staff were friendly and informative. The food was exceptional and the chefs were happy to answer questions. Loved the local knives and pottery. One of my top dining experiences for sure.

Wonderful omakase experience, food and service were impeccable. Every bite is thoughtfully prepared and every detail of the experience is considered and carefully managed without being pretentious or stuffy. Great for a special occasion.
