Awesome place! Bagels are really good, especially if you get them with some butter. Do check this place out. 7 AM to 3 PM all days. Right next to Vons, great location. The lady/owner is friendly and recognizes regular customers. They have a decent selection of coffees and sandwiches, as also egg salad and omelette options.
Hands down the best bagel place in San Diego! I'm from the east coast and we like our sandwiches/subs and we like our bagels. Those things are hard to find in California. I got the tuna salad on the onion bagel and the veggie delight on a plain bagel, both we're super delicious and didn't disappoint. I'm about 5 months pregnant so I'm super picky about my food. If it doesn't taste good I'll definitely let you know. I'll definitely be back very soon.
This is a nice little bagel shop fast service friendly really good and fresh food and their coffee was actually quite Pleasant and you can sit outside on a warm day and it's so nice in the morning here
As a native New Yorker, I know my bagels and I know my breakfast sandwiches. This place is great. Nothing in California is Essa Bagel, but this place is so much better than any of the chains. Real upstate New York bagel deli type of feel!
Delicious and fresh. Stayed open on a holiday for some hungry travelers. Thank you, that was THE BEST bagel sandwiches ever! Service awesome!!
Favorite local shop as a UCSD student. Fairly price bagels and absolutely excellent customer service that always makes you feel welcome.
Great bagel shop. I think it’s family owned because it has a small business feel. Very delicious and fresh bagels, big omelets, and great coffee—it’s from Cafe Calabria! I will be back again to bring friends to enjoy more delicious bagels and coffee.
This is my fave bagel shop around and I come here almost weekly if not daily. The lady is so sweet! Her bagels are the best and softest around! The thai tea is so good. I have had a lot here, but my fave is the ham egg and cheese bagel with mayo! She knows me now by my face and barely has to ask what I want. Sometimes she is even clever and reminds me of the thai tea I didn't know I wanted but would have been upset had I forgotten! ;)
This place is a hidden gem. It's a little hard to find because it's towards the back but AMAZING COFFEE. $2 small $3 large doesn't get better that! I also got a egg white bagel sandwich, delicious! Lady was so friendly and I like the cute hand made coffee signs. Making this my new morning stop.
Yummy fluffy bagels not like that greasy dough over at Einstein's! Also, really good local coffee. Big points for having sugar and cream in bulk containers instead of individual waste. Would love to see reusable utensils for stirring coffee!
The woman working was so sweet and got our orders right away. The food was delicious and she was so kind. Definitely would come back. Come here for a low priced high quality meal!!
Went here for the first time instead of Breugger’s bagels since it was closer and it was the best decision ever made! Can’t believe I didn’t notice this awesome spot before! Amazingly fresh bagels with great options for cream cheese and mixing it up with choice eggs and cheese. Their mocha(both hot and iced) was also delicious, comparable to Peet’s and better than Starbucks! This will definitely be my regular bagel place! The owners are so sweet, they come out and give the order to your table. Quick and efficient service too!
Best bagel/brunch place in the area! I was a regular for 3 years (until I moved out). Their food is great and feels very natural (no unhealthy additives). Not to mention the cost-benefit. I’ve definitely paid way more on food that I enjoyed way less. Highly recommend their “daily omelette”, “traditional”, or tuna melt.
Love this place! The staff members are amazing and really caring + fast!! I went here twice in the same week and each time has been an amazing experience. The man who made my two sandwiches was very fast and on point. I got a ham, egg cheese croissant, and a bacon, sausage, egg cheese on an everything bagel. These sandwiches were made literally as I turned my back to wait as I paid! I was extremely impressed. Also the Coconut iced latte was out of this world, and the best Latte I have had in San Diego by far… not overly sugary, and tasted very real. Extremely impressed with my 10am Wednesday morning service. I give them 10/10! They deserve great tips.
Veggie deluxe bagel was very good. Gentleman working behind counter was very personable and thoughtful. Wish I had caught his name to shout him out. Will definetly revisit when I'm in the neighborhood, very fair pricing.
Best Vietnamese coffee and yummy bagels at this lovely family owned shop!!!
A lovely local mom-n-pop establishment not far from La Jolla Village Square and UCSD. They’ve been around for a long time. I had a friend who worked here for 2-3 years during high school. Their breakfast and lunch bagel sandwiches are super good. Fresh ingredients, great bagels, and nice flavor profiles. I love the sausage, egg, and cheese on an everything bagel — it’s like a far better version of a McMuffin. The staff is super friendly and easygoing. For a small shop they have a fairly extensive menu and you can find pretty good coffee here too. Definitely stop by and give it a try.
Great place to support a local bagel shop. I’ve been going here for 10 years and it is my favorite spot. Egg and cheese croissant or bagel is amazing, so is the vegetarian bagel sandwich for a fresh yummy meal. The fresh squeeze orange juice is also delicious. Definitely stop by here for a nice little cafe feel in your local neighborhood. Get bagel sandwiches to go or enjoy hanging out in the cute place with teacup wall paper. There is also outdoor seating for a nice sunny afternoon!

Insanely tasty deluxe vegetarian bagel with jalapeño cheddar bagel (a must!)
They have the softest bagels. So tasty. And their sandwiches hearty.

I had the Deluxe Vegetarian on a poppy seed bagel. I really enjoyed it! Very easy to make vegan. They have an area where you can eat outside; very pleasant on a sunny morning.
Food was delicious! We got a tuna sand-which and a pizza bagel and they were extremely fresh and came out quickly. The sand-which was flavorful and full of fresh ingredients and the pizza bagel which we got on the bialy bagel was light, fluffy and also very flavorful. We will definitely be coming back!
Excellent bagel, just moved here from LA and very impressed with this place. Friendly family run staff, everything bagel toasted to perfection and ready for pickup with no line 👌🏼🙏🏼
They have the most amazing drinks. I’ve gotten a hot Chai Late and an Iced Vietnamese coffee. I also got a Lox bagel it was so amazing. They ate super fast and kind. I highly recommend and I’ve gone 2 days in a row because I loved it so much. It’s very cute and cozy too! Love this place and will continue going back.

Yummy bagels. The size is pretty fair for the price
The bagels are really beautiful and they really lay on the toppings. The size is great, the toastability is great. I don’t know if it was just my batch or what but the dough is in DESPERATE need of salt. The coatings for garlic, onion, sesame and everything are thick but also need salt. This may be what some other people are mentioning as the variability in quality. Without salt, things are going to taste bland even if they’re loaded with toppings Edit: as I’m eating these bagels, some clearly have a proper amount of salt and some do not. To the business owners, I would suggest auditing each person who makes your dough and making sure they are not confusing or missing salt measurements. The bagels are great when they’re done properly
I'm not a fan of bagels so I won't speak on how good the bagel is. The coffee is pretty good though. A quaint restaurant with a good vibe.
Vietnamese coffee was great. Maybe on the sweet side, but good flavor - almost like chocolate. Bagels were very decent/good. Service was very friendly. $5 credit card minimum.
Better ambiance than the places nearby. I got the avocado sandwich for around $10. Different than what it said on the menu but still tasty.

Pleasant staff, nice quiet atmosphere too! I've seen this place with people more times than not & decided to give it a try. Ordered a "works" bagel, egg/ sausage/cheese dine in. A decent bagel sandwich for the $7.27 price point after taxes. The only thing is until you bite near the center, so along the outside portion, it was a tad dry, lacking much flavor. Once you hit center, the bagel & ingredients worked enough to get some flavor across. It could use a light sauce spread to help with these points imho. The community around here likes the place & if you're passing by would recommend too.

*Edit* Since my first review below, things have changed a bit. Still decent but it seems quality has dropped off. Staff is still friendly but the food is not a high quality as it used to be… Stopped by this spot while just out taking my dog for a walk, with no plans on going in. After living in New York for a year, finding a real Bacon, Egg, and Cheese in San Diego is near impossible. With that being said, the Daily Bagel gave me a perfect breakfast sandwich. The croissant was perfectly toasted and flakey on the outside but warm, buttery, and soft on the inside. The egg was actually egg, a nice change from the frozen 'egg' patty's we're accustomed to. Lastly, the bacon was thick and cooked perfectly, like what you would make at home just better quality. As if the food wasn't enough to make me want to come back, the staff was friendly, they were practicing social distancing and provided hand sanitizer, and when my food came out both of them gave me a warm smile before wishing me a good day. I will be going back and I am excited to bring my foodie family here as well. Thank you Daily Bagel for keeping classic, family owned bagel shops alive!!
It offers a good assortment of bagels ranging from the onion one to jalapeño cheddar. Unfortunately, this selection is consistent with commercial types of bagels and doesn't possess a bagel that you couldn't just get from Vons next door. They also will have about 4 of their bagel options not available to you since they be out of stock by 12pm. Plenty of seating area.
Pretty mid Daily Bagel cafe. They don’t toast their bagels for bagel sandwiches, and also don’t add as many toppings as other Daily Bagel cafe locations. Overall, decent but a bit disappointing especially if you’ve been to Daily Bagel cafes in the SF Bay Area.
The bagel is fine. It does the trick, although the ingredients are very minimal and prices are high. It needs more punch and flavor to validate the prices, with a lack of service and atmosphere.
The Everything bagel was missing some salt, but it had a lot of cream cheese. The Americano coffee even with a splash of cream was very bitter. The woman was attentive, the man was quick to help, and I was glad they opened early.
I wish I could do 3 1/2 stars… I tried the lox and bagel sandwich. It tasted good the bagels are really great but they’re very skimpy on the cream cheese it was almost like you would put mayonnaise on a sandwich, such a small amount. The staff is friendly and again I would come back for a bagel anytime.
Been here numerous times. I think bagels are really good but the cream cheese sometime tastes stale. I just wish this place could maintain their quality as it’s is one of the few places with decent bagels in UTC area. Tried Acai bowl as well - was not very amused.

Very ordinary cinnamon raisin and everything bagels. Nothing special here sorry to say.

Really bad bagels.. It's more of a bread shaped like a bagel. The egg tasted fake. The lady also told me it was fresh squeezed orange juice, but it was MinuteMaid. It did not satisfy my bagel craving. The two stars are for the decent Vietnamese iced coffee.
I tried to like this place, but's it's been twice now that my bagel wasn't toasted after that's what I asked for. Last time I got an everything bagel with cream cheese there was some green stuff on it, like they used the same knife as on someone's avocado toast. $10 min on the CC so prepare to have cash. I get it, it's a small business, but it's sub-par.
First of all, please disregard any five star reviews of this place. It just isn't... The very appearance of these bagels was almost enough to make me turn around and walk out. But as a public service, I tried them. So, because all of the bagels were ghostly pale, I thought these bagels must be only partly baked, so I asked them to double toast mine. Good move! The end result was a bagel that wasn't horrible. I've actually had worse. But if you're a bagel afficianado like I am, you can scratch this place off your list. These bagels are bad but you won't be angry if you're forced to eat here.

Not real bagels. Very dry. Not fresh. And they didn’t even respect the shmeer, there was almost no cream cheese on my bagel. Also, I was not happy to see one of the employees use their hands to pick up ice cubes that fell on the counter and put the ice cubes in the cup of the drink she was serving. Pretty sure that’s a health code violation.
Worst bagel I've ever had. More like a roll with a hole. I'm not convinced they were even boiled. Everything bagel doesn't have salt. Toaster is too low and yields a lukewarm roll. I hate to leave bad reviews but hopefully this will save someone from my experience. The only reason I'm finishing is because I paid $7 for 2 bagel with cream cheese. Oh, and whoever said these were the best bagels since NY.....no. I grew up in Jersey and I've had good bagels.
These are not bagels, this is bread shaped in a circle, and bad bread at that. It doesn’t look like the bagels have even been boiled, and the bake is poor. Sour cream cheese. The lady working the POS rang me up then grabbed the bagels with her bare hands and gave them to me. I’ll never return.
Calling these bagels should be considered false advertising. This is just circular shaped bread.
In my ham, egg and cheese bagel I got a single thin slice of ham that literally did not cover the entire bagel. What a waste of money. Eggs were not made fresh either.
