This place is an absolute blast. It’s pure chaos in the best way possible. Between the nonstop birthday songs, noodle dancing, and the random Zootopia pictures on the walls, there’s never a dull moment. It feels like dinner and a show all at once. The food absolutely holds up too. All the broths are super flavorful, and you can tell the meat is high quality. And honestly… I’d give this place an extra five stars just for the free soft serve in the waiting area. That is such an incredible idea. Free ice cream while you wait? Genius. Fun, loud, delicious. Perfect spot to celebrate and have a great time.
This is hands down the best service I’ve ever experienced at a restaurant in the U.S. — no exaggeration. Finding a HaiDiLao like this in San Diego was such a pleasant surprise. I especially want to give a huge shoutout to our server, Brian — he was incredibly patient, attentive, and professional throughout the entire meal. He constantly checked in on us and even helped peel the shrimp for us, which is an amazing level of service that’s very rare in the U.S. Brian made us feel genuinely cared for, not just “served.” From the attitude to the attention to detail, everything exceeded my expectations. This is without a doubt the best HaiDiLao in the U.S., and one of the best dining service experiences I’ve had overall. Highly recommended. We will definitely be back!
We had such an enjoyable experience here. The bathrooms were clean and the little robot who brings your food is adorbs. We did the all you can eat and the staff were so nice explaining how everything thing worked. He made some dipping sauces he thought we might enjoy and even peeled our shrimp. We'll be visiting again.
We had a fantastic time here! We came with a group of 7 people, had 4 flavors, and so much food. They have such a large variety it was a little overwhelming for a first time but our server Cho Nolan was fantastic and helpful. We had the chef noodle dance which was fun and totally worth it. Overall I really enjoyed it, though I would want to go again with 2-4 people for a first time to better understand the flavors since we had a lot going on. But would recommend!

Great place to go eat with family. All broths are amazing make sure you keep steering your brother or stuff will stick to the bottom of pots. But they have good choice of meats and veggies well recommended. Better to go with smaller groups since it can get hectic trying cook food for alot people. Customer service was amazing make sure you elarn the special words to say before you visit.
This Chinese restaurant offers a fun and interactive hot pot experience. I’ve walked past this shopping area many times and noticed the restaurant is usually quite busy, so I decided to give it a try. I chose the AYCE Hot Pot option at $49.99 per person. Everything is ordered through an iPad, which is super convenient and fast. In just a few minutes, you can build your own delicious hot pot. I especially loved the meat here, it’s fresh and tender, paired with a variety of fresh vegetables and ingredients, and the soup bases are full of flavor. The restaurant has a lively and friendly atmosphere, perfect for gatherings with friends or family. There’s also a bar and complimentary side dishes like snacks and fruit. Service was wonderful. The staff are attentive and friendly, making our visit comfortable and enjoyable. A standout feature is their entertaining shows, especially the “dancing noodles” that I got to watch it was really fun and unique. Visit on weekdays except holidays to take advantage of special pricing! The restaurant is located in Westfield UTC, so finding parking is easy.
Went to Haidilao with my friends over the weekend and it was soooo good!!! Hieu and Nolan were our servers and they did a fantastic job explaining the menu and welcoming us in. They gave us fruits to start off and the food came out really quick. The brisket with the spicy pork bone broth was our favorite combo. Both of them were super attentive, always filling our waters and clearing out plates. The restaurant was very clean and spacious and it was overall a super good experience. At the end we got little goodie bags and candy!!! Great food and servers, we will definitely be back ;)
Been to this hotpot spot a handful of times now, and honestly, the service alone could carry this place. The waiters and waitresses are exceptionally nice the kind of nice that makes you feel like you’ve been coming here for years even if it’s your second visit. Food? Fresh, clean, and plenty. We did notice the “golden soup” is now “golden chicken soup,” which means one less option for vegetarians. But to be fair, the menu still has plenty of veggie friendly choices. The spicy soup hits the spot as usual classic, dependable, and perfect when paired with pineapple juice or watermelon juice. Both are surprisingly refreshing especially when your mouth is on fire. Fried steam bun? Incredible. Eat it while it’s hot for maximum happiness. Ice cream could use a glow up, but the chips they give you are a nice touch. The dessert section has a solid selection, and the fruit was way better than expected. The vibe of the restaurant is lively in the best way birthday songs, dancing noodles, and apparently there’s even a face-changing show around 7:30PM? Had no idea until my latest visit. Shout out to all the waiter and waitress for all of that! Also… the details. Female customers get hair ties, aprons, phone wipes, and even little plastic bags for their phones. Small things, but man, they add up. It’s the kind of thoughtfulness that makes you feel taken care of. Overall, a great hotpot experience with good food, fun energy, and service that deserves a raise.

This is hands down my favorite hotpot restaurant! Located right in the UTC Mall, it’s an experience from the moment you walk in. You’re greeted with snacks and can enjoy a drink at the bar while waiting for your table. Once seated, everything is ordered through an iPad, super easy and convenient, and before you know it, you’re building your own delicious hotpot. Pro tip: Come on weekdays (excluding holidays) to take advantage of their special pricing! My go-to ingredients: Angus beef, mushrooms, fresh greens, and lamb. Don’t skip: The Chinese donuts on the side — crispy, light, and perfect with the broth. And definitely upgrade to the side buffet bar, which has fresh fruits, ice cream, and more tasty extras. Must-try: The dancing noodle, it’s as fun as it sounds! An expert flings and makes noodles in front of you.
The restaurant is a mix of performance and food. During our dinner, we saw face change performance where the actor changed his masks in split second throughout his dance. There was also noodle pulling dance where the cook lengthen the dough into noodle during his dance. We ordered a combo meal, with a choice of two soup base, two types of meat, a few types of seafood, veggies, desert, sauce, etc. It was entertaining, especially with a group of friends who have not visited the place before. The soup base was excellent and food was fresh and tasty.
Amazing food and great experience. We enjoyed our food thoroughly.They have good vegetarian options as well. The customer service is exceptional. Love the show they have every now and then. Kids enjoy this show and it’s mesmerizing.

If you’re looking for a fun and flavorful dining experience, Haidilao is definitely worth it! The beef and other ingredients were high quality, and the broths had rich, deep flavor. The handmade noodle show was such a highlight 🍜✨ It added a unique and entertaining touch to the meal. The staff were polite and attentive, even though the place was packed. Everything was clean and well-organized. The only small downside was that the variety of side dishes was a bit limited. Still, overall, it was a wonderful experience perfect for dinner with friends or anyone who loves great food and a bit of showtime 🔥
Really good as long as you pick the right soup base. The pork broth and golden chicken are both delicious (a bit heavy on MSG, but expected), while the tomato base tasted like watered-down ketchup. Service is excellent and the item selection is huge. We come here often!
One of the best experiences I’ve ever had hands down! The staff is exceptional. The food is fresh. The robot waiter helper is so fun. Alani and Patrick helped us more than enough. We had so much questions on how it worked and what we could order. They went above and beyond Paul I believe was the guy at the front, he was exceptionally helpful. Showed us the ice cream area along with the complimentary bags of treats. Everyone was so friendly. I’d highly recommend this place! 1000000 out of 10
Came for my birthday with mom and sister. Best meal ever! So fresh, flavorful, and great service. Quite pricey, but you get what you pay for in the UTC area. I had high expectations and they were still exceeded by the quality of the food and service.
We got the Golden Chicken soup (It is so flavorful and delicious. They add in raw chicken and it just makes it so incredibly delicious! It’s perfect) and Tom Yum (The base includes traditional Thai ingredients like lemongrass, Enoki mushrooms, a couple shrimp tails) all sooo good and flavorful. A Robot brings you your sides and proteins ☺️
This place was incredible. The food quality and food experience are the best in the industry. We came for the Meat O’clock special ($20 M-F, 11-4pm which is 5 different protein options (pre-selected) and rice. Keep in my this DOES NOT include sauces, appetizers or vegetables. It also DOES NOT include the pricing of the broth. Shout out to my server Sam, for giving us a budget hack, of getting a quarter pot split, with 2 broths and 2 waters, this cut the price for us in half in terms of broth! Ice cream was good, little sweeter. We got the sukiyaki and pork bone base, recommend adding some garlic and chili oil to the pork base. Also my wife loved how clean the restrooms were, even had hair ties for the women and a sleeve to keep your phone clean with wipes. Overall great experience!
Five Stars for an Amazing Fourth of July Celebration at Haidilao! Today is Fourth of July, so I specially brought my family to Haidilao to celebrate this holiday together. The restaurant was wonderfully bustling with a festive atmosphere, yet the staff remained as warm and professional as ever. They helped us pick a great table and consistently checked to make sure we were comfortable. I truly appreciate how seriously Manager, Patrick, took my feedback from a previous review. It’s clear he genuinely listens to customers’ opinions and takes action to improve. This time, the service level has greatly impressed us—attentive, efficient, and thoughtful. My earlier concerns have completely faded; Haidilao has genuinely elevated its dining experience! Thank you for making our Independence Day celebration so memorable!

We visited Haidilao Chinese Hotpot early in the day, and while it wasn't too busy yet, there were still 4-5 tables occupied. I’ve been to this location twice before—once in the evening, where I encountered a long wait and had to order drinks at the bar. So, I decided to come early this time to avoid the crowds. I loved everything my colleagues ordered, and it was the perfect day for hotpot given the rainy weather! The staff were friendly and helpful, which enhanced our experience. The restaurant itself is convenient, clean, and beautifully decorated. While it is a bit pricey, the quality of the ingredients justifies the cost. I think it's worth it to visit once in a while for a treat!
Pricey but very good hot pot. I ordered four soup bases and realized two would have been plenty. The creamy yellow soup and the Thai-style sour soup were my favorites. The experience felt special, especially for kids, with toys, trinkets, and robots moving around. Fun, memorable spot and I would definitely come back.

I had experienced the hot pot at utc yesterday night. It was a good experience though I feel that I could've used some more meats,veggies,ramen noodles with the Single combo deals. I wasn't given that option with the server if I could order more proteins,veggies,etc. I got the tom yum soup base and it was very delicious I had gotten a couple shrimps hiding in the base which was nice. The sweet buns appetizer was fresh and delicious as wells. They did not have Almond milk for my Strawberry Matcha Latte and substitute with Coconut for I am lactose intolerant. They should've had Milk options available on their drinks menu for those who can't have dairy. But,At least they were nice to give me an alternative choice for my latte. For one person, the single combo deals was not bad for $36 but,the restaurant should have at least should give us more options of getting more proteins,vegetables,noodles,etc. With these combos for one person. The sauces were also delicious and I did not see any fruits at the bar when I was dining in there. Would've been nice to also have some fresh fruits with my desserts but I did not see any. I also had the meowdy dessert I do not know the flavor as it was very sweet but flavorless all I can taste is the strawberry sauce in the bottom. For $5 for this dessert I do not recommend. I had gotten the ice cream on my way out it wasn't too great of a flavor for the matcha and also very sweet. I took a handful of snacks and candies home. I Paid around $56 total for this visit. **Updates** 2/20/26 - I revisited the restaurant today and I was not as satisfied this round for dinner services. I had done the double hot pot for my soup base I had the tomato base & I attempted to try the spicy soup base though I had indicated that I wanted it to be 20% less intense but it was too extreme and very hot and spicy I couldn't have it so I asked to see upon not being charged for the spicy soup and they decided to take $10 off and I really wanted to have some noodles but it was not good and also had it mixed with the spicy soup so I requested to have the charge for the egg noodles removed. I was paying more this round and I decided to reduce the tip down to $3 for tonight's dinner service. I also had the fruits but I was looking for sliced watermelon but it was not available the oranges and pineapple was very sweet. After this visit, I feel the soup is a bit high priced with adding in the proteins and vegetables and no free drink refills were provided. I hope they improve their services if I decide to continue eating here.

This is purely regarding their food delivery service. Ordered lamb set for delivery on door dash - it came as a well packaged cute package: all well sealed with a snack and a drink. However the quality of hotpot was very saddening. Minimal vegetables (like 2 overcooked leaves of bok choy), with all fattiest pieces of meat and all carbs. Consider yintang and ten second noodle for fresher quality of delivery.
