I came in today with my family of 4, shortly before closing. The staff quickly took us in and were very kind and pleasant. The food was fast and fresh. I would personally recommend the quesabirria tacos. Very filling and delicious!

Always a great experience. I absolutely love the homemade guacamole and everything on the menu!! Nice cold beers and drinks. Love the homemade tortilla chips. I could eat them everyday. Great price that won't cost very much to eat but you will leave full and happy. Tacos are life.

The food was exceptionally good and reasonably priced. The staff was friendly and accommodating when we asked for a booth instead of a table. I had a coconut lavender mojito and it was absolutely delicious. I also ordered the Pina fajita dish and it was good. I will definitely go back if I am in Oswego again!

Let me say I had the best service this evening. Our waiter Julio far exceeded our expectations. Best service we have had anywhere in forever. Thank you for the exceptional service. Julio went out of his way to accommodate my dietary restrictions. I can't express in words how he made our experience so nice.

This is one of the best restaurants in town! The margaritas are always fantastic and the food is beautiful and delicious! The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and the food arrives quickly! I recommend the Burrito King! It'll feed you twice and the french fries inside have a lovely crunch!

My girlfriend and I have had Azteca before. We really enjoyed their food tonight. My girlfriend had the king burrito, and I have the trio enchiladas. It was absolutely delicious both as I helped eat some of the burrito as it is definitely a big burrito. Service is always good and quick.

Great place for a fun birthday! Try the pina fajita! We ordered it extra spicy! They loaded it up with some fresh jalapenos! Delicious!

Azteca never disappoints! I had flautas today with an horchata to drink - perfection. Servers always have a smile and are attentive and quick!

Carlos was an exceptional server! Guac was made from perfectly ripe avocados - 10/10 would come again and again!

I bought a taco salad, and hands down it was the best taco salad, fresh, delicious and made just as i ordered! I ordered over the phone, and the young lady I spoke with was superb. My family and I have been eating here for years. The staff is incredibly friendly and nice. The atmosphere adds to the effect the food gives, and the food is insanely good. I would recommend anyone to go to this restaurant. On top of that, its not expensive as the meals range from $10-20.

Had a great dinner! We got steak chimichanga and steak Burrito California. We both really liked what we got. Authentic feel and taste. Mojito was amazing!

Stopped in for lunch, which was very good! We asked for a veggie chimichanga, which wasn't on the menu and they were very accommodating. The service was good. It was our first time there and we would go back!

The food here is incredible! Healthy portions. Only one person finished their entire meal!

I love this place, and our server was perfect very attentive but not too much, and quick. One of our favorite spots in town by far

This is the best Mexican place in the area. The service is great, the staff is friendly, & the food comes quickly. Charlie is server most of the time & he does a FANTASTIC job! I’ve never been a weekly regular anywhere in my life, but my fiancé & I find ourselves here every week. I used to be an enchiladas rancheras kind of girl, but I tried some Quesabirrias about 5-6 weeks ago, & I haven’t had enchiladas since. The Quesabirrias are one of the best things I’ve ever had in my life. I wish I could eat them every day. Do yourself a favor: go to azteca & get you some Quesabirrias. You won’t be sorry. Great dinner, had the Al Pastor Street Tacos with added shrimp, lovely flavor and texture and filled me right up. Coconut margarita was great as well and the chimi cheesecake sounds good as well so I got that to go, all around good experience.

This place was a perfect spot for dinner. A varied menu with real, traditional options. The queso fundito was addictive (although the chorizo was way too small - but flavored the dip fantastically). The salsa and chips were good and though mild. Hot sauces on the table were a great addition. They had homemade tres leches cake that was amazing. The only negative (and this sounds ridiculous) the service was too fast. We had barely touched the appetizer when our entrees were placed in front of us. They didn’t rush us at all. Order apps then order dinner a bit later and it would be better. All in all, highly recommend. Reasonable and delicious

Our waitress was very nice, we received prompt service, and the atmosphere is great. Music is good, lighting is perfect. Plenty of menu options. We had chimi changes and big veggie burrito. Servings were big. Also had chips with salads and cheese dip. All delicious.

Enjoyed a good dinner with family while visiting Oswego. The margaritas were half priced and included great flavors like mango and spicy lime. The chicken fajitas were delicious and it became caramelized on the hot plate. Served with the standard beans, lettuce, tomatoes, guacamole and sour cream. Great place for a family meal.

Great food and great service every time we go!!! We came for my daughter's birthday 🎉 today, and the waitress noticed her wearing a party hat. She immediately said Happy Birthday, and after the meal was over she brought her a dish with ice cream and whipped cream. She even lit a candle. Made her birthday a little more special. Thanks for your excellent service.

It's definitely one of the best Mexican Restaurants I have had around this part of CNY. Prices are reasonable. Chips and salsa was perfect. The Thursday Margarita special had a good pour and the server was pleasant. I will have to try thier fried ice cream next time. There will definitely be a next time. Personally, the street corn had too much mayo and parm cheese, but that is just me. I'm too picky with my street corn.

We tried Azteca for dinner. After they seated us, it took a while before we were waited on again, until prompted. Chips and salsa were enjoyable, although salsa lacked some flavour. The main course however (vegetarian) was delicious, and decent serving size too. Would recommend!

Don't expect the kind of place where you wish you had dressed up. This place is VERY casual. The food is very tasty. Margaritas were great and a good selection. A comfortable little restaurant that makes the day disappear when you sit down to a great Mexican meal and a drink. Prices are reasonable. Wait staff is quick and skilled and friendly.

Food was vary present staff was very well prepared and punctual could not ask for much better even as a door Dasher was treated well sadly tho the place was rather dark and gloomy I think if there was a bit more light would have made the place more enjoyable even though I can say it's vary nice and I would think about stopping in for myself some time

Visited this restaurant when in Oswego. Friendly and chatty staff, attentive to us, although not too busy on weekday lunchtime. Offered chips and salsa at table, complimentary. Large portions but food generally quite good, more tex-mex than authentic Mexican. Flan in particular was really delicious and must-try option! Pretty good value for the size of potions given. Nice Mexican restaurant in this area.

Food always is quick to come out and is on the whole pretty good. Service is always friendly and attentive. There is a nice atmosphere, has a good vibe of people and decor, could use some more light. Drinks are always very good.

Food was good but when you have to sit in booth and it is obvious you are done eating and the bill never arrives. Does that mean your food is free. Nope had to go to counter and then it was like we just arrived.

Drinks were great and reasonably priced, and honestly enough reason to go. Atmosphere was decent enough, and looked like a lot of Mexican restaurants I've been to in Florida, Texas, and California. Service was exceptional. The food was... I don't know what I expected for Lake Ontario, but not oregano in the salsa?!?! Just because salsa and spaghetti sauce have tomatoes does not mean the two are interchangeable. Thank god there was the good hot sauce on the table otherwise it couldn't have been salvaged.

E for effort. Nice staff. Good location and it’s nice inside. My taco salad was a weird combination of refried beans, shredded chicken and shredded lettuce. My eating mates said the rice was good. Not the enchiladas. Interesting salsa, more like tomato sauce.

Average...but only real place to eat Mexican food in this town...

Food was super underwhelming, used to be amazing. Only 1 waiter, we felt awful for him. He was very apologetic, but waiting 40 mins to just get the check was ridiculous, especially when one person in our party was on their lunch break. Won't be revisiting, unfortunately. Make sure you give yourself at least 2 hours for your visit.

While the atmosphere is great...the food is skimpy For 12.50 I'd like a chimichanga that is semi decent in size. The sides were appropriate, but honestly the chimi was so small you can't really see it. It was the size of a hostess twinky :( probably will just not go back. I put a side by side comparison pics...it definitely didn't seem the same

Three years ago I gave this restaurant 5 stars but down graded it now primarily because of their menu, no more diner combinations, everything is alacarte. The food was OK and left me stuffed but compared to other Mexican restaurants now in CNY Azteca has fallen behind. They have also had a number of careless health violations that are said to have been corrected but honestly they were unforced errors. Maybe the simple menu is for bottom line but with competition out there about the only reason to return is for the Thursday night Margarita specials. My meal as shown with one Margarita was over $17 plus tip... Service from the waitress was good.

Ordered the chorizo and chicken street tacos. They were very dry and flavorless nothing fresh about them the salsa tasted like pizza sauce and was lacking in depth of any kind. Simply put I've been here 3 times in the last 10yrs and this will be my last.

Arrived, got seated right away, ordered our drinks and appetizer and entrees . Waited about 20 minutes for appetizer . When it came out the waitress dropped it at the table and left without checking if we needed any refills. 25 minutes pass and she then asked if we needed refills. Food finally arrived and portions are small. Server left without checking if we needed anything else. Had to wait to ask for the salsa that was supposed to come with the meal. All in all a terrible experience.

Terrible experience. After waiting over an hour for our food after ordering with no waitstaff service or communication, I needed to go to the waitstaff station to ask if our food was expected anytime soon. I was told there were still three orders to be prepared before ours and that the delay was because they ran out of rice. Not sure you need to know anymore about how badly a Mexican restaurant is run and managed than to know that they RAN OUT OF RICE ?!?!?! We paid for our drinks and left very hungry to go elsewhere.

We ordered water and it tasted like they got it out of the lake. I ordered the chicken taco salad bowl. The chicken tasted like it was from a can and there was little to no seasoning. Plus, if I had seen the cobwebs on the windows when we walked in, I would've left! Very disappointed.

Nachos Supreme-By far the worst meal I've ever had. If you want (what tasted like) canned chicken over chips with some cheese melted over for $14, by all means. Eat at this place. I sent it back after two tastes! And, no beans were seen!

We waited 70 minutes to get our food. When we asked our server to check on our food, she had a surly attitude. She only ever came back to check on beverages one time. Other people who were seated after us received their , ate, and paid their check and left. The food was hot but had no taste. We will never go back and we do not recommend this restaurant. Their takeout, banquet room obviously took presidece over their table service.

Unfortunately for my first experience I must give one star. But first the good. Our waitress Kailana, was wonderful. Quickly brought extra napkins. So five stars for her. The chips were also excellent. The food was absolutely barely passable. The beef enchilada was okay. The beef taco just did not taste like beef. My friend and I actually did not finish our small meal. The margarita also did not taste let's just say she didn't like it. Our server, Kailana, was very good and if you go there ask for her. Don't know if I will be back since I'm a tourist passing through. Although I do drive through this area every few years. Thank you, John

Ordered street corn other places and loved it, theres was inedible just corn out of a can with bad sour chese. Sent back after first bite. Poor server was told by manager they would have to charge us full price for it even though was horrible and not edible. This place is only C grade anyway. Now degraded to F. Any other place would say what can I get you instead. We ate two meals, queso and dessert and a magarita. Not like we were scamming them for free canned corn... he said we could bring it home. No Thanks, The worst salsa ever. For many years we have come here often for gatherings with friends and family. Not any more as we value common courtesy,

I have gone to Azteca’s since they opened in Oswego, NY. I placed an order for pick up today. I usually go for fajitas, but had tried the burrito recently and thought it was pretty good. When I called, the girl asked me if I wanted the King Burrito or the California burrito, I told her I wasn’t sure, she explained that the king burrito had French fries, and that’s all I needed to know, so I order the other one. I got home and saw this burrito that looks like it came from a children’s menu, and had only beef, shedded beef, not steak as I ordered. Did not have rice, beans, cheese, nothing else. However, I had to eat it. I was diagnosed with anemia, I was light headed, and was very much hungry. The beef was salty and not good at all. When I called later in the afternoon to let them know that I did not get what I ordered, the manager was very rude, and said that I probably ate the burrito so there’s nothing they can do. When I said “but that’s not what I ordered”, she responded “but did you hear that there’s nothing we can do?!” She was very confrontational, and unprofessional.

This was the first time ordering from here after recently moving here from Austin, TX. I called as I ordered online and did not see any place on line to add tip. Your receptionist could not tell me how or even walk me through the process. The fact I’m a new customer here, but will not reorder as this is how you treat a new customer who orders generously .

The service is about all this place has going for it the employees are amazing and the restaurant itself seemed clean and authentic. But the food was awful the salsa for the chips tasted like marinara (nowhere should basil or oregano go in salsa my friend). My husband got a taco salad with ground beef that had no seasoning and tasted slightly rancid he took one bite and said no thank you I got steak fajitas and the steak was so tough decided it wasn’t worth eating… my daughter got Mac and cheese which was basically Kraft out of a box. Again the service (Jasmine) Amazing restaurant itself ok but food gross

The server was beyond friendly, in fact I feel awful to leave this review, but the food needs to be warned about. The prices do not reflect the quality of their food, the chicken and the beef tastes like meat from a can and the kids meal wasn't much better, off brand Kraft Mac and cheese and French fries that had absolutely no flavor. If we're going to a restaurant, then I expect fresh food and especially at those prices. The service was great and the atmosphere was good, however the food is awful. (Except their chips and queso, those were great!)

Waited forever for drinks, got a couple margaritas to go and they were like 3/4 full. For 70$ just go buy yourself something better at the store. You’ll be better off

Second time we have ordered takeout and received something completely different than what we ordered. This time we call and they just say sorry it’s a miscommunication. Apparently enchiladas sounds like quesadillas. Now we are stuck paying for food we never ordered and I need to find something to eat. I can’t eat flour that is in the quesadilla shells even if they sounded appetizing. Not sure why customers are responsible to pay for businesses mistakes.
