Great place to do laundry and get some good old soft served

CASH ONLY: $3 cheese dog (or kraut dog or chili dog), $1.39 bags of chips, <$2 fountain Pepsi options, and so many ice cream flavors in cones or shakes or sundaes! The building is nice with a few outdoor picnic tables, and the women who work there are wonderful.

This place is the best. My parent's stalk it's opening all spring and we visit (probably too much) when I come home to visit. Classic ice cream stand with soft serve: vanilla, chocolate, or twist but they also have rotating flavors like pistachio or black raspberry. And then everything else that can be made from that like sundaes, milkshakes or tornados (ice cream with candy mixed in). They also have lots of great dips that harden like delicious shells (chocolate, peanut butter, cherry, and others I can't remember). Wish I could stop by right now!

This is the best soft serve ice cream I've ever had. They do a pretty good hotdog, too. Get it with meat sauce, mustard and opinions. It makes for a nice treat when you're doing laundry next door.

The employees here are super nice and happy to answer any questions you might have about the flavors or specials. I love the traditional soft serve options and they have a little bit of nice outdoor seating for when the weather is nice. Not super cheap but not too expensive either. A sundae is around $5. Definitely has that old school feeling of small-town America.

I’ve been coming to Jim’s every summer for over 50 years! Their ice cream is the best anywhere! Since moving to NH, we make it a point to go to Jim’s every time we visit family in the area. Their Chocolate Boston Shakes with vanilla ice cream are incredible! You can’t get anything like it anywhere else. The Jim Special Hot Dogs are Delicious, they are made fresh when ordered. Another cool thing is they offer almond milk ice cream in for those lactose intolerant, a major plus. Prices are good too. Get a Tornado for $5, you can pick two of your favorite candy to go in it. Only negative thing is they accept Cash only.

This local seasonal ice cream shack is always a lot of fun. We'll made product, always an interesting flavor or two, Taste8 for those wanting a low-calorie treat, even some light food from the grill. My wife had a creme de me the shake and I had a "tornado" with pumpkin pie soft serve, cheesecake bites and oreos. Tasted great, reasonable size for the price. Staff is great, very friendly and helpful. We always stop when we drive by. You should too. :-)

This ice cream truck brought back so many childhood memories! I came looking for a classic mixed soft serve (chocolate and vanilla swirl), but what really made me smile was seeing the Ninja Turtle and SpongeBob ice cream bars—just like the ones I used to get as a kid. It was so cool to see those still on the menu. The truck had a great variety, and the experience was pure nostalgia. Definitely a sweet surprise!

Great ice cream regardless of what you get. Apparently no pricier here than any other place... After I've been to a few this year. Great fast service. Apple places to sit down and hang out. Parking is a little weird because there's no striped off designated spots. Aside from that great place. Took my wife and my mother and will be back.

Stopped by twice now. Couldn't resist the apple cider donut Sundae (pic) after having the Boston apple cider shake! Both delicious.. I love ice cream but normally do not distinguish between various vanillas, but this one seems just to be a bit better than other ones I have tried. Can't put my finger on it yet but it was tasty.

We got a soft serve vanilla on a small cone dipped in blue raspberry syrup, for $4. It actually tasted good. There are seats with umbrellas beside the shop. Parking available. Staff was pleasant.

We travelled quite a ways to try Jim's Tasty Freeze. The quality was very good. Whipped topping is Da bomb🌞 parking is tricky, no bathrooms, staff very pleasant.

Jim's has surprisingly delightful ice cream flavors, and the BEST banana ice cream I've had so far. It's worth stopping by this neighborhood treasure

The different frozen treats are good, and the staffs friendly. The main downside is that they ONLY accept cash, so make sure you bring some $$.

A few years back this would be a 5/5 but the portion sizes have been cut way back. If you compare their large to any other local soft serve place it’s a small/medium. The actual ice cream is top notch, can’t beat it. If you’re in the mood for some ice cream and want a bunch, order two! It’s weird because a few years back and since I can remember their larges used to be a huge tower of ice cream, so I don’t know what changed.

Very friendly staff. They had vegan options, which my daughter appreciated. She got the mango Dole whip and loved it. She wanted the vegan vanilla but the didn't have anymore. I had a small vanilla ice cream with butterscotch dip. Yummy. $8 for both.

The soft serve ice cream is great! The prices are reasonable. As far as flavors go, there are some rotating flavors and variety, but nothing too elaborate. Tasted Freez is in no way the Guptil's of flavor choices. That said, Tastee Freeze is a great small-town ice cream shop. Actually they’re a great ice cream shop, that just happens to be in a small town. If you’re looking for the classic soft serve twist with sprinkles, this is the place for you! I also recommend their root beer floats.

I thought the sizes were right. Got a medium it’s the same sizing as Snowman’s or other places. There is no signs on knowing where to order and no physical menu for all the options they have wasn’t helpful. The ice cream was good though.

Had the Only 8 toasted coconut and chocolate twist with chocolate chips on a cone but in a dish. The ratio of ice cream to chocolate chips was subpart. More topping than frozen yogurt which made for a not so great experience.

Three hot dogs $9.00. A bit excessive don't you think. Nothing special about the food that stands out. For $9 you can purchase 4 packages of hot dogs from Wal Mart and receive change. Once a year visit is more than adequate.

I had a shake from this place, but the workers may need some training on listening skills and customer service. I believe at ine point they asked my friend after he made his order what he wanted to order at least 4xs. It appears that most of the workers were younger people, but it made the experience a little chaotic. Oh well maybe they were having an off night.

Theyve got some flavors, a decent variety, difficult to tell whats available at times as the menu isnt always updated or clear, and they only accept cash. Very cute place to go for a classic cone and has a nostalgic feel that i personally really enjoy.

For all that the "tornado" (a standard ice cream/topping swirl) is their specialty, it only comes in a single, smaller-than-McDonald's-small size that they charge nearly $5 for which seems a bit much. The quality of the soft serve is pretty good, but this is not a place I would go out of my way for. If you want ice cream and you are already there its an ok place to stop.

We could wait for them to open for the season and was a little disappointed Definitely pricey 4$ for a kids cone $6 for small. Visited Thursday with my family and the ice cream is a little watery and definitely a different change from the previous. We may have to find a new spot to try this summer.parking is also a little weird

Good ice cream and prices, friendly service. However, it seems to have been overtaken by yellow jackets. I was there with my fiance, my friend and her two kids, and we had to go into the laundromat next door in order to enjoy our ice cream without getting relentlessly swarmed. None of us are allergic, thankfully, but this could be potentially life threatening for someone who is.

While I love their ice cream, I can't believe I was charged $5 for a junior size w/sprinkles. I can't eat large portions. So this size works for me. The price, however, does not! #ridiculous #ripoff

Its quaint for summer, but OVERPRICED, so if you have kids, be prepared to spend alot.. so I was just there with my mother, and 2 small cones came to $8.50 ,...... and it's not even real icecream !! I mean my god... it should not be that much money......

So disappointed! Been coming here for decades and love it! But today I stopped by for our first cone of the season. Ordered a large and medium, large is usually gigantic! It cost 10.50 for those two with spinkles and my cone was puny. Size of a small. Woofed it down and minutes and felt jipped. Cutting corners at an ice cream stand will be their downfall! Hope this isn’t the new norm.

Last evening took my 6 yr. old granddaughter who was so excited and happy after seeing skating on ice, great way to end a fun day, she was so disappointed and tearful when we were told the new machine for vegan treats was not there yet. Love your place and all the other items available, but last night was not the best night.

One of the employees loud whispered, "get the cash first," after i placed my order. My mother and children were already excited for ice cream so i paid. The worker handling the transaction seemed embarrassed. I won't be going back. I was a weekly customer if not more.

Asked for mocha milkshake and they just gave me vanilla ice cream in a cup with a straw. Never went there in the first place but definitely not going now. Wouldn’t recommend going past 8 because the workers don’t care even though we still tipped them well.

This place should be named the WEB its covered in SPIDERS!! There is no flavor burst which was a fan favorite and my kids loved it. Also the only 8 machine was not available all summer. BRING BACK SLUSHIES!!!

Trash, I had one good experience. The time before last I noticed the medium cone was small size, and I went yesterday their medium cone was even smaller, they're cheap on the cone sizes. It's my last time going there, 👎👎

this place nearly killed my boyfriend. we came here for what was advertised as vegan vanilla ice cream. my boyfriend made it clear, repeatedly, that he has a severe dairy and nut allergy. the woman at the counter directly assured us it was safe as it was vegan and therefore COMPLETELY free of ALL dairy products. trusting that information, we ordered a cone. within five minutes of his first bite, he was in full-blown anaphylaxis. he needed an epi-pen, 911, and a rushed ambulance ride to albany medical center. the very next day, we discovered the “vegan” vanilla ice cream actually contains creamer. that means the menu is not only misleading but outright dangerous. what happened to us was not a “small mistake.” it was a terrifying, life-threatening incident caused by false advertising and gross negligence. allergies are not “preferences.” if you cannot be honest about what’s in your food, you should not be serving it to the public. no customer should have to wonder whether eating at your establishment will land them in the emergency room, or worse. i expect the owners to take accountability for this, fix your labeling, and ensure your staff understand the severity of allergies. until that happens, this place is unsafe and untrustworthy.

The spiders are out of control. It is sad that I find myself writing a poor review for Jim’s because it has been one of my favorite soft-serve ice cream stands for years. I took out-of-town visitors there in July, only to find that the entire place had been overrun by spiders. I’m talking about something like 1000 spiders or more, running around on webs over every square inch of the ceiling and under the picnic tables. Anyone standing in line was within a few feet of dozens of spiders above their head. We couldn’t sit at the tables because our legs would’ve been in the middle of spiderwebs full of spiders. Our guests took it well, such as they could, but I was wishing I had not brought them there. I was about to try again today, but checked reviews first and found that people have been complaining about the spiders since then up until just three days ago. So apparently it has not been addressed in the two months since I was there with my guests. In addition, the workers on the job that night were so distracted by the conversations they were having with each other that they were very slow and not paying proper attention to the customers, even though there was a line of people waiting. I hope they fix these problems because I would really like to go back in the future.
