We recently had a luncheon for family following my mother in-law's Funeral Mass. Meaghan, the Event Coordinator, was extremely professional, compassionate and caring. Her first question of me on the phone, "what was your mother in-law's favorite color?" What a nice place to start - and needless to say the tables had those colored linens and napkins when we arrived. The luncheon was perfect - beautifully printed special menu with all types of options, great food and phenomenal service. A partition was set up to give us the privacy we needed. It couldn't have been nicer and the cost was extremely reasonable.

The place doesn't look promising but it delivers. We went as a group after a committee meeting. Each dish was pleasantly delicious. Our waitress, Rebecca was attentive and kind.

I was there for my niece's Sweet Sixteen party. The staff was amazing, the food was delicious, and everyone had a great time.

The food and the staff were great. We had a luncheon in the tent. Good time and calming views looking out over the well maintained course.

We ate out on the patio,nice atmosphere,good polite service.We only had pizza but great crust,worth going back..Didn't break our budget.

A group of six of us gathered at Martel's today for a birthday celebration. Everyone liked their meal and the service was excellent. This is our go-to place for gatherings and is on my wife and my short list of favorite area restaurants.

Stopped here after a work event. Bartender was very friendly, attentive. Stayed for trivia. Moved at a good pace, didn’t drag it out. We were finished by 9. Excellent food - fresh.

Delicious food and you don't have to be a member to eat here!! Many golf course based restaurants that have a neighborhood nearby get their nose stuck in clouds causing them to only allow members, only sell fancy food and imported beers, as well as jacking up the prices to an ungodly level, treating any non member like scum. This place is DIFFERENT!!! Locally made beer, huge variety of delicious foods for a reasonable price, and the folks who work here are beyond kind and helpful!!! Best country club I've ever eaten at in my life, I'd be happy to keep coming back if I lived nearby!

OK,this is the golf course club house, but open to the public. Great food! The chicken Quesadilla I had was the best ever. My friend had a great burger cooked exactly how he likes it.

Excellent food and service at very reasonable prices. The atmosphere was very pleasant. We sat in the dining area, but after dinner, we moved to the bar to join other patrons in watching a baseball game. Overall, it was a quiet, relaxed enjoyable evening. The waitress was friendly and attentive. There was a goid variety on the menu and every dish was delicious.

Martels is a great place for a drink and sometimes food. There are alot of great items on the menu. The pesto bowl and chicken sandwich are great choices and any of the burgers are solid.

Food was good; rated 4 stars. I had the Chicken Quesadilla. The ingredients were not mixed well so that a few bites were burning spicy hot while others were normal. Otherwise, good. The two other people in the party rated their meals good. During the winter without golf, the restaurant isn't busy. No wait to get a table. The server was good and nice. The dining room decor is a bit dated and worn. Otherwise, clean and serviceable.

This place almost has a neighborhood bar feel to it. Simple and classic bar food. The biggest positive is the prices for the food and drink. We had a burger, sandwich and a small pizza which were all fine plus a few drinks and the bill was $20 less than expected. Add in great golf cart views and we will be back.

I've had various experiences at Martel's at Capital Hills. Most of the time, pretty good. This past week, not so good. I ordered the "Saratoga Melt". A grilled sandwich with sliced Roast Beef. What I received was a small sandwich with very roughly cut (chucks of) roast beef. For my choice of "sides" I selected Cole Slaw. It was Ok, but a very meager serving. Hey, come on! How cheap is Cole Slaw? At least serve a decent amount!

Tuesday trivia night is fun. Reuben was pretty good. Chicken nachos were very good.

It was ok. Basically pub food,but mediocre. Fries and onion rings came across as prepared off site? But price point is such that they probably can not do home made fries and rings. I think I probably ordered the wrong thing. Sliced sirloin off the entre menu).Pizzas looked great as did burgers. Service was excellent: timely and friendly.

Celebrating a retirement was the highlight of the evening. Disappointed in the food....pasta overcooked, frozen meatballs that were barely warm, sausage that were rubber like. Bartender was sweet and efficient. Loved being with friends ❣️

Had a patty melt! Burger on a piece of toast out of the toaster! Wasn't even cooked on a grill😳

We went too the Mothers Day Brunch and were very disappointed. We have actually attended their Mothers Day Brunch 3 times in past years. The recent Brunch was a shadow of itself. The buffet was so/so at best. The entire event appeared to be on it’s last legs to me. In addition it was overpriced for what we got. At the end of our experience there was only one other table of diners. I asked a waitress if the event was well attended, as we came toward the ending hour. She said that it was not well attended and that several people who had made reservations were know shows. I am not certain of how Martels does on a daily basis, but this will be our last Mother’s Day there.

Umbrella fell and cracked me in the head....no one even came out to help us....it was not even locked under the table. Worst Wings in the Capitol District...as was the "Reuben"

Visiting Albany, walked up there for Christmas eve lunch but sign on door said they were closed.... OK, it going to be 2019, I think you can log-in and put a note on your website... your other location had the notification. What's up with that?

I cannot believe that this place is still open The food was nasty and my salmon was dry the carrot was not cooked the rolls were frozen I WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!

Unfortunately had a bad experience today. Went for a baby shower. As it is the season, it was busy. The baby shower and another party and walk-ins. Quantity not quality. A grilled to your perfection burger advertised was not available. The server said the kitchen was too busy so all were being prepared medium. The rolls were still partially frozen as noticed when I partially sliced it. When given back it was the same rolls the entire table touched, as well as my sliced one, that was returned after being tossed back in the oven. The salmon was dry. The fresh carrots would probably have been good if they were still not crunchy, close to raw. I will say the kids outside sledding had a wonderful time. Hopefully this was just a bad day as I can't imagine this deterioration since my last visit
