First time in since new management took over. Impressed with food and staff. Katy at the bar was on it, asks your name and addresses as such while you are there. That’s amazing these days! Live music on weekends will have to come by and check it out. Be sure to add the pecans to your salad!

We had another great experience! The wings were so good and Richard (chef) helped us pick an “off the menu” spicy Bourbon sauce that was delicious! Our bartenders, Catie and Ashley, were super fast, friendly and kept us well hydrated! And the live music…phenomenal! We enjoyed some cool beverages on the newly designed and renovated patio. You just can’t beat live music on a Friday night… and as always, The Oliver White Group over-delivered! We highly recommend trying the new menu and enjoying the welcoming atmosphere and environment at Kickback’s Backyard!

Went to Kickback’s Backyard & it was amazing! Delicious drinks, yummy food, & a great atmosphere. Ashley was our server and she did a good job of making sure we had everything we could want. We shared the Kickn’ Nachos & they were great about making sure I didn’t have anything I’m allergic too. My little one loved the fries & okra. Then I had an Impossible burger made my way, & it had excellent flavor and texture. Tasted like a real burger! The couple that came with said they really liked the build your own salad & brisket sandwich. Then we headed to the outdoor area to listen to live music & the seating is comfortable, kid friendly, & the fans kept it cool! (Even in the 100° weather) Will definitely come back again & highly recommend!

Karaoke many weekends with a large open porch. Traditional bar food. Traditional bar staff. Greatest bathroom mirror in downtown Denison. Clean bathrooms. I think there might be pool tables inside but I'm always there for karaoke. Lots of parking. It's a good watering hole.

Spent about $13 on a burger that had a beef patty smaller than what you would get at Wendy's. Thought maybe they accidentally served us a kid burger at first. Otherwise everything else was good and food came out fresh. Service was friendly and helpful. They need to replace those burger patties though, what a joke!

I used to love coming here. However, it's gone quite downhill. I was here earlier grabbing a Pizza and hanging out. There wasn't a lot of people there, and there was a couple of guys playing music. I think their names were Alex and Brandon if I remember correctly. They were so rude to the other customers there. They were asked kindly not to smoke in the patio (there are signs everywhere) and continued to do so. When the other customers got fed up and left, one of them came into the bar saying, "I didn't mean to piss the MILFs off." I told him that was a rude thing to say and he proceeded to try and defend what he said by saying, "you didn't find them attractive?" He then shrugged it off and something about him being that type of person and walked back to the patio to keep doing what he was doing. It's no wonder the place is dead. The bartender didn't even stand up for her customers. This place really needs to figure themselves out, because right now, it's a trashy joint. Go to George Tavern or Iron Horse. You'll get way better vibes.

We have been going to this place at least once if not twice a month for the last three years. Specifically, we go here for pizza for 3/4 of our group. As someone with food allergies, I’ve always been able to get either a decent salad or tacos here. We recently went in on December 20. They changed their menu so the items that I can get with food allergies are no longer on the menu. They also apparently changed their policy that you can only have four toppings on a pizza. When we questioned it because we had been getting as many toppings as we wanted on a pizza, the manager came over with a very shitty attitude like we were bothering him. While I understand prices everywhere have gone up, the amount of money we paid for a couple of drinks and some tater tots was outrageous. Our friends each had two drinks a piece, not top shelf drinks, and a personal pizza each and their bill was over $70. Between the menu changes, the attitude and the prices we definitely will not be back which saddens me because it was a great place, close to home.
