We tried the Jambalaya it was delicious, don’t recommend it spicy because it’s already spicy !!! Service was excellent from the nice sweet host Sidy to our server Chris he was awesome - manager (Shilah )came and checked on us , loved the hospitality here and will be coming back to Try the new Lemon pepper flavor for the Boils !

Great service! We went on a busy night and our waitress Amanda was still very attentive and friendly. The food was cooked very well and everything tasted great! There was nothing that I could complain about. 🙌🏼 They have a great selection of food options as well as drinks, both alcoholic and non. This is a great place for group hangouts or intimate dates. I definitely would like to go back.

Went to Red Lobster before the snow storm came in. Despite the weather, servers Ryleigh and Renee and the manager Cheyanne tried to accommodate our large party before they were force to shut down due to the weather build up. Will definitely be coming back again soon.
We had dinner there on a Saturday night, it was very quiet calm feeling. Our server was Renee and she was very attentive, nice, and helpful. The food and drinks were great.

We had an excellent experience at Red Lobster! The service was top-notch, and our server Frans truly stood out. He was extremely courteous, attentive to every detail, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. His professionalism and friendly attitude made the evening even more enjoyable. Highly recommend asking for Frans if you visit, he’s outstanding!

Red Lobster has certainly changed. I will spare my comments on the company...but will give a HUGE shout out to Dakota, who today is on my list of top five waiters for the decade!! Drink glasses were never empty, and he was checking on us at just the right intervals. Great attitude and personality as well! To put it simply He Was Awesome!! If you come to this particular restaurant in Sherman, TX be sure to ask for Chris as your server! He was awesome and one the best waiters we’ve had in a long time. He was attentive, friendly, caring and honest! Now for the food.. food was great! I ate with my family (dads birthday) and they enjoyed their food too (and my parents are picky.) The best bang for your buck when it comes to serving size is the breaded flounder plate as you get 6 fillets! Maybe the cook was being generous that day but you get a plate full of food! I’ll post the food we ordered so you see what I’m talking about first hand. And to top it off my dad received a surprise birthday dessert from the waiter which ended up being the vanilla bean cheesecake with raspberry sauce… AND THAT WAS DELICIOUS! 10/10 The bacon chicken breast along with broccoli & baked potato was tasty! Sweet tea was fresh! The red lobster buttery biscuits were hot and fresh! Restrooms were clean too ✨
Had a wonderful time at the Sherman location today. The Cheddar Bay Biscuits were spot on as usual and the food was excellent. Peyton Watson was exceptional and has a wonderful personality. You should definitely keep her happy! 😀
They did not open the doors until close to 10 minutes after 11, but the food and the service well made up for it. Corey did an excellent job of making sure we did not run out of anything. The kitchen staff did a great job, cooking the food to perfection. Served hot and flavorful! Congratulations staff & Red Lobster of Sherman for excelling in these hard times.
We went for an early dinner and Ryleigh was our server. While the food was pretty good, the service was outstanding. She was fun and had great recommendations . She made our visit great!

When we came in we sat for about 15 mins before anyone even talked to us. Raine noticed that no one was helping us so she took over for us, and got our food and drinks out super fast. She also had the most amazing attitude and made our experience so great. We definitely will be back just to see her.
Really great here, our server was very nice, refilled our drinks anytime he came by and he also remembered our order without writing any of it down on a notepad. And the food was absolutely delicious, the lobster was so beautifully done and the shrimp linguini was to die for. Definitely recommend this place, and that's coming from someone who has never been a huge fan of sea food.
I come here for the cheddar biscuits!!! They are the best. Peyton was my waitress today and she is most attentive. She is very pleasant to talk to as well. She deserves a raise!!

This place DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! I have. Been to this particular restaurant 4x in the 3 months since moving here, the service is STELLAR no matter what time of day it is. The restaurant is so clean it’s crazy even the bathrooms are well maintained and unbelievably clean. I’ve been to other locations and none of them come close to Sherman! I have nothing but praises for all the employees and management here! This is the perfect model of how a dine in restaurant should be run! SINCERELY!!!
I had Raine as my server, she was honestly the best server I’ve ever had! My glass was never empty and my food came out really fast. Will definitely be asking for her again!

We had an amazing experience at Red Lobster thanks to Peyton! She was incredibly friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. Our drinks were always full, the food came out exactly right, and she checked on us just the right amount without being overbearing. I came in for my nieces birthday and I had such a sweet waitress that made the experience for my niece so fun, definitely wants to come back every year now. I felt like we were cared about and basically family, my waitress was Renee and from the front door to the table we were greeted so kindly by two girls that were twins, sweetest ever! From the cooks to the server to the hosts, it was amazing. I forgot we had cute new cocktails, I didn’t get the bartenders name but he was blonde and I’ve had a girl named Ryleigh before when we came separately, really a top tier experience, the management is ontop of their team and it shows!
Odi was our waiter this evening and he was absolutely fantastic. So kind and sweet. He was on top of it all! Couldn’t have asked for a kinder human to take such great care of my family!
We went for a late night dinner. The hostess was friendly and seated us immediately.Our waitress, Darrien, was great - personable and attentive. We split the create your own Feast with shrimp and crab legs and it was more than enough food for two. The food was very good. Coconut shrimp - perfect. Crab legs - okay. We always leave thinking “we should come here more often!”

Our 7 year old chose Red Lobster in Sherman to celebrate his birthday. We were a group of almost 20 people and Frans did a great job making sure everybody had what they needed. A great server. What blew me out of the water was Patricia and her hospitality towards the kids with the lobsters. Not only did she pull AT LEAST 5 lobsters out of the water (the specific ones the kids asked for), she also shared a ton of facts about lobsters and the kids were in awe. I think it's the best birthday he's had in the last several years. I hope Red Lobster promotes her to "Party host!". Because that's really what it felt like. Thank you everyone for all you did to accommodate us to celebrate our boy.
Patricia and Frans were amazing!! We celebrated our grandsons 7th birthday, almost 20 of us. They were so wonderful! They were friendly, welcoming and patient with our party and our 3 young ones who wanted to touch, hold and see the lobsters. Patricia was especially attentive answering 3 questions at a time! I sat at the bar and had the Bairdi crab plate and a couple of beers. The bartender was great. The crab was sweet and tasty. My only complaint was that the cajun dipping butter tasted kind of odd. I switched it to the garlic butter which was fine. I will definitely come back, it's hard to find good crab at a reasonable price.
I stopped in a few months ago and was pretty disappointed in the service. The food was fine but the guy waiting the table was not helpful boarderline rude and just seemed like he had better stuff to do. However I've always liked red lobster and decided to give them another try. Much better experience this time around. Sara my waitress was sweet helpful and made sure I was taken care of. As long as they keep help like that I will continue to come back for a long time.
Prices have gone up. Less on the menu. We still got more that we could eat. It was good. The server was good. I had the crabfest with new garlic flavor. It was good but I'll get the regular steamed crab next time just because it's much less messy. The crispy potatoes under the crab legs were great. Broccoli was good. Wife got the select two with clams and shrimp scampi among with a watermelon martini. She really enjoyed it.
My visit to this Red Lobster today, Saturday, November 8, 2025 (around 6:15 PM), was deeply frustrating. I'm giving a 3-star rating to reflect the unacceptable negligence of the server against the exceptional performance of the host. The bar section where we sat was virtually empty (only two tables occupied), yet our server was completely absent. This caused inexcusable delays: 10 minutes for drinks, 20 minutes for biscuits, and another 30 minutes for the main course. The food arrived COLD, proving it had been neglected after preparation. The Host, however, was the only thing that saved our visit. She noticed the failure, performed the server's duties, personally delivered our bread, and proactively checked on us. She is a dedicated employee who deserves recognition. The cost of the meal was not justified by the terrible service and cold food. Based on this experience, I highly doubt I will be returning to this location. *I am updating this review to note the exceptional response by the local management team. The manager provided a full cash refund for the original $50 meal AND a $50 gift card to compensate for the waste of time. On November 14 2025 I used the gift card, and the service was absolutely outstanding—the food was hot, drinks were constantly full, and every standard was met. The manager's personal effort was excellent and fixed a terrible situation. The 4-star overall rating reflects the combination of the unacceptable initial failure (originally rated 3 stars) and the perfect recovery. *Despite the excellent recovery, I am still unlikely to return to this location.*
Jasmine was our server she did a very nice job took care of us and kept her section clean. Atmosphere was kind of just bland. Server and food was great. Go jasmine.
This place has had a major facelift since my last visit. The staff seemed a bit 'stiff', but nice enough. The food was tasty and portions were ample. Their prices have gotten too high though.
Been disappointed w/RL since condensing the menu, raising prices, and removing sides from an already increased price point of platters, dinners. However, it still scratches our seafood itch in a somewhat food dessert of dining options, and on this night our exceptional waitress Maddi did everything to make our dinner and experience great. From attention to details to remembering items ordered and being there when we needed we enjoyed a wonderful meal time and appreciated the efforts by Maddi and all staff at this location (Sherman, TX) in making our evening memorable. RL corporate, bring back make the build your own combos, again include a damn salad with an ordered dinner platter and remember why Red Lobster has been around for so many years. -The Customers! Don’t just raise the prices and pass it on with shrinkflation and reduced offerings!
When we got there the hostess asked if the single hidden booth was ok to which I laughingly said only if we aren't over looked by our waiter/waitress.... We waited 25 min just on our drinks to be ordered. While our waiter was very polite, we had to ask twice for him to come over and fill our drinks after being empty so long including having the hostess find him. We didn't have drinks before bread. Brought the wrong drinks another time. My son ate his entire meal waiting on him to come back because a side of broccoli was forgotten. The restaurant was also out of something we ordered. Not super sure what happened there. Our waiter still got his 18% tip (would have given more of it had of been better) but really the almost 40 tip we left was a bit much for the service given. I should add I don't feel it was busy. I've seen far far more people in and getting better service. We also always go in the 2pm time frame so that it's never super crowded. Just don't know what was going on except getting stuck in the secluded booth. Several others in the main area were open as well. Next time I'll say no to that booth.
Our experience was about usual with a Red lobster The food is good service is good and the menu stays about the same. It was somewhat busy when we were there for lunch, but we'll say that the food portions are abundant. Red lobster is always a good stand-in.
We had the best server, Darrien Sims. She was awesome-attentive and kind. The server greeted us when my husband and I walked in with “two?”. Not a smile, not a hello. Then she seated us at a booth where both benches were torn (see pics). We moved. There were multiple ceiling tiles missing (see pics). The place needs a clean up but the server and food were great!!!
Great Server, excellent! Linguini could have been seasoned better but I poured my scampi butter on it made it tasty, baked potato wasn't quite done but server Gabriel quickly or me a fresh, done one. Atmosphere could have been better it was cold in the restaurant others were wearing there jackets or covering their legs as I was.
I recently visited this restaurant and had a mixed, but overall positive, experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the host, Sidy, who was absolutely amazing. Sidy was professional, warm, and incredibly attentive, the best part of the entire visit, honestly. That first interaction really set a welcoming tone. The food itself was good, and the new boil has great flavor, but I have to admit I really miss those endless shrimps they used to offer that was always a highlight for me. The facility could also use some renovation; it’s clean, but you can tell the building and decor are starting to show their age. My biggest disappointment was the wait staff not checking on me as often as I would have liked. It wasn’t terrible service, just not as attentive as I’ve experienced in the past. Still, thanks to Sidy’s professionalism and hospitality at the front, the visit felt worthwhile. With a bit more attention from the servers and some updates to the space, this place could easily go from good to great again.
Well, the server we had was new. They did not have any lemons, they were out of ranch. The food was good, didn’t wait too long on any of our courses. Appetizers were steaming hot and delicious. The cheddar biscuits were freagen delicious. Lobster was good, rice was delicious and so was the bacon Mac and cheese. My wife had the fish and chips, she gave the food a five star tasting. The crispy Brussel sprouts were delicious.

Worst experience at red lobster ever, poorly managed. There was nothing good about the red lobster in Sherman, Texas. Drive a few miles south to Mckinney.
My shrimp plate was just ok! I ordered the shrimp trio! Got the shrimp scampi & it was DELICIOUS! The Walt's shrimp was undercooked (not crispy) & the shrimp Alfredo was really dry! The orzo rice lacked any flavor at all! My husband ordered a Burger that was inedible!! Seriously Disgusting!! Our server Brandy was great! Right on the ball and very attentive ☺️ My margarita was tasty 😋
I have always had a soft spot for Red 🦞 and have many fond memories of past dining adventures here. Unfortunately, the food quality and quantity keeps going down while prices keep going up. I have ordered the same entrée for at least the last 5 visits and was surprised to see the price had jumped about $5. I was ok paying the premium, but was informed it no longer comes with a side salad. I could add one for $5 more, so now I was up to a $10 total increase. When the entree came out I was served the smallest baked potato I have ever seen at a resuraunt. I literally ate the whole thing in about 5 bites. Only saving grace for this visit was an amazing server that was forced to apologize and make excuses for her employer. Probably my last visit to an old friend. RIP Red Lobster.
Ok...not the servers fault. But my boys burgers was beyond burnt. The burger was so burnt it looked like it was going to ignite like charcoal. Server did bring a piece of cake. Service was kind of slow. But she was very nice. Also the price was very expensive. Wow!!!!!!
Service was extremely slow. Took about 15-20 min for the waitress to even come to table. Drinks weren’t refilled once. Took forever to get straws. Never got tools for crab legs. The waitress, Renee, was friendly but took too long to be enjoyable
Our waiter was Great! But the two hostesses at the front were not friendly, not making it a very welcoming atmosphere. It took them a little bit to decide where sit us and it was not busy at all.(4:30) So the first impression was not good. Thank goodness the waiter was Great and pleasant and the food was good.
The food was ok but not worth the price we paid. Olive garden has better service and food, including seafood and steaks. The service was acceptable but it seems the manager is cutting how many waiters and waitresses on clock, which limited and slowed our service. Our waitress was very friendly but had to apologize more than she should have. The cook was obviously new, so the food quality was less than what you would expect for the price we paid. My friend ordered a top shelf drink, which was watered down. My friends and I were disappointed and most likely would not do another girsl night out there. But the deserts were not bad.
Red Lobster in Sherman, TX The food was excellent, but the service was terrible. We waited ten minutes to be greeted, another ten just to receive our drinks, then another ten minutes to place our order. So, 30 minutes in all to simply place our meal order. There were several wait staff present, but only four other tables occupied in the restaurant. The long wait was seemingly a matter of a rude and lazy server. The food came out quickly and was fabulous. The waitress, however, never refilled our drinks or cleared any dishes from the table. She was curt and bored and did not seem to care at all about customer service or doing her job well. We won’t be back.

Ok...I rate a lot (level 8 on Google Reviews and in top 10% of all Google Restaurant reviews). What happened, Red Lobster?? You were once an upscale restaurant that offered great seafood and quality service. Do better, please. Bring back the old Red Lobster management, like from the early 80's management! I hate giving bad reviews, but.....y'all....it was bad. The picture I posted is corn....it was burnt. The skewered shrimp was cold, not warm, COLD. The server was kind and courteous but he wasn't around....ever. Another server helped with our drink refills after she noticed we had been out for over 10 minutes. The bar had 2 patrons, and the restaurant was 20% filled, yet our drink order from the bar took over 15min to receive. I'm not writing you off, Red Lobster...not yet. Be who we all know you can be!! BRING BACK THE OLD RED 🦞!!!!

Red Lobster is just not what it used to be... I would always go for the coconut shrimp and baked potato and now the shrimp is just horrible. You can definitely tell it's frozen and very, very small. We recently dined in as we have not had Red Lobster in years and wanted to give them another try and the service was absolutely horrible. We couldn't get refills on our drinks, our food was cold by the time it came out to us and it just wasn't an enjoyable experience. For the money that you pay. We will not be returning to Red Lobster. At least the one in Sherman Texas.

Went to celebrate 3 months with my boyfriend!! We went in and had to wait 5 minutes for someone to even acknowledge that we were there, waited another 10 to get seated. Waited at the table for 20 minutes before someone came to take our drink order and it was the hostess! The waitress finally came to take our order, and had an attitude. Took OVER AN HOUR to get our food and there was only 3 other small families there. She kept saying it was coming out, then told us someone else took it for their table! When we finally got our food it was cold, crab legs were soft and lobster tail was chewy! We also paid an extra $5 for sausage added and it was tough and flavorless! When we went to pay it was $47 as we shared a meal. My boyfriend gave her 2 $50 gift cards because he didn’t look at the total. The waitress then brings us back ONE gift card, says it has $50 on it still… But where did the other 2.48 go? Why didn’t we get that card back?? So he asked her for the other card back, she said “oh I’ll have to see if I can find it.” She “found” it and informed us that THIS was the card with $50 on it, not the one she gave us back!!!! She instead tried to pocket this gift card that he had received as a gift! HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! We will NEVER go back. If we don’t get food poisoning we are considering it a win.
Worst experience I've ever had at a Red Lobster. Our drinks were completely watered down. Snow crab legs were cold and water logged. Sirloin was tough as nails to chew. Both of us got food poisoning. Broccoli was completely watered down and mush. Extremely disappointed especially after spending over $120. Don't see me stepping food in this restaurant again, sadly. Used to love RL.
We've been here 2 times at around 7pm, both times the place is almost empty and they made us wait 1 more for the food. It took the front desk girl 10 minutes to even seat us and another 5 to bring us biscuts. The only reason we came back a second time was because the food was good, but the wait time is crazy long. I guess go when your not hungry, by the time the food arrives you sure will be!
