First time at a Dennys and It was fantastic great food, very clean and, amazing service. My waitress Crystal did a wonderful job explaining the menu and gave wonderful recommendations for me to try will be back for delicious food and wonderful service.

Denny's I grew up with and continue to visit into adulthood for the nostalgic times of a nice fragrant hot coffee, smell of crispy bacon, and buttery perfect stacked of fluffy hot pancakes. This is a friendly welcoming location, greeted with a welcome and a warm smile. It was clean upon entry and my server was attentive and prompt. I appreciate the crew appearing present. Server was real polite. It was a delight. The music also makes a good atmosphere. It could have been my station. It's reliable, classic, simple, and a fair value for money.

My boyfriend and I came here for breakfast and it was such a vibe. We came at like 9am on a Sunday, it wasn't uber busy, the waitress was kind and friendly, it was very clean and the food was fantastic! It was quiet and the music they played was calming, it made the experience very peaceful.

I had to delete my bad review today. This restaurant is really turning around. It's not smelly or hot anymore. Our waitress "Indi" was very sweet and professional and we honestly couldn't be more pleased with our visit. This isn't a 5 start restaurant so alot of these comments are probably from entitled people who act like they are spending 300 dollars ,but the service is 5 star service and I am a chef,so I know. I appreciate the small things like that! You got a winner!

I would recommend this Denny's location. It's pretty close to my husband and I apt, very convenient. When we walked in the staff greeted us immediately and gave us menus ( To go order ) and to let them know if we needed any help. It was probably around 8pm ish and it wasn't too busy at all. The dining/ lobby area looked very nice and clean like they definitely keep up with it. The employees were very nice and professional, our order was ready in about 10-12min so wait time was minimal which my husband and I love because we just wanted to go home after. The food was really good I liked it alot and my husband was happy with his food as well. The only thing I didn't totally love was the rice I got with mine ( whole grain ) it just needed a little bit of salt and idk if some of it was supposed to be kinda hard or something but the rest of the food was really really good. We also got 2 vanilla milkshakes and they were amazing! Like perfect ice cream to milk ratio to where we could drink it immediately but it wasn't too melted so we both really loved that. Overall everything was very nice and bathroom smelled really good and looked like it was kept up with!

The slam burgers, Southwest burger and the Sriracha spicy burger were very well cooked and it was very delicious. I must agree that Coca-Cola was at the perfectly chilled. Service was great as well.

She gave us the most wonderful customer service, checked on us regularly timely manner at the right times, our sizzling drinks were kept full, gave the perfect recommendations, gladly asnswered our questions, and enjoyed a good conversation with her. Our tasty delightful food came out fast quickly, hot, and tasted really good! The red white and blue pancakes were awesome with the perfect crispy hashbrowns added, and the Bourbon Chicken Skillet was perfect mix of sweet and savory, so good. It came out real fast, coffee and soda stayed full, our plates gladly cleared right away it was clean and I loved how we felt while there. It's a nice diner, with nice people there who took good care of us throughout our entire visit. Keep up the great job, five stars all around ladies thank you, we will come back because of the delightful meal, attentive kind waitress, clean restaurant, peaceful atmosphere, and just fantastic customer service! 😀

Today I stopped in at this local dennys. I had the chicken fried steak. The food was fine. My post is not about the food but rather the service which I can only describe as impeccable. My servers name was crystal, I was truly blown away by her attentiveness and professional demeanor. I typically frequent IHOP but after the service today at dennys I fully intend on changing establishments. The other servers should take a page from Crystals book and treat their patrons in the manner I was treated by her today. It was truly a pleasure. Thank you

Dare to Discover Dennys in Denton. After one of those marathon productions, when the brain signaled, "food would be nice" . . . However, finding a restaurant after midnight would be a nice try. Using Google Maps (best ap ever), you can search for local restaurants, then click "Open Now" and watch everything disappear. I had the 5 alarm fire burger, and that late at night, it needed Cholula. For the math geeks, that's 6 alarms total. But it's cool because paired with ice water, any alarms are easily put out.

Came here for some comfort food after the worse night of my life, at 11pm after a horrible experience walking into the nearby waffle house. Monty greeted me with a smile, sat me down, patiently gave me time to change my mind on things, and she was just... Everything I needed in service. I get the food, and OMG. So good!

I went back in again and was greeted with all smiles and warm welcome. I enjoyed my meal special, can't beat their specials anywhere. My sunny side eggs came as requested. My husband liked his plate too the cheese melted perfect he likes on his buttery eggs. He really enjoyed it, its our go to for breakfast. It was hot, delicious, eggs cooked perfect how like it. The bacon was good crispy just how I asked. I love their special deals, they have more new ones now. It's reason we come here and the nice staff they always take great care of us. They kept our coffee full and hot, and checked on us regularly. They have been so friendly and it is clean too. I saw mamager checked on tables nearby us too with coffee pot offering refills. She and the ladies who takes care of us are real sweet and kind, we appreciate spending good time with us. I will be back. It was good we really like it, made us feel warm like at home. They're real helpful to. It is real quick too they get our food right away, and hot for us. The morning cook is real good, fast, hot, fresh! Come have good time, with fast, hot, nice people. Went in for breakfast this morning and a woman that looked like a manager, she was wearing nice clothes, non uniform. Greeted us and seated us, told us about the special on the window. The custom service was purely wonderful. Unlike the service we received from the Server I believe was named Stacey, the night before. She smelled so bad and that wouldn't of been a problem if her attitude would of been better! This location deserves better credit than they seem to get on here. BUT Manager, please reconsider the employment of your Tuesday server that works at 2am. Food is amazing, atmosphere is great, that server needs to go!

I order a Lamberjack slam and substitute my order no toast and no pancakes just extra bacon and ham…and they did my order correct and my boyfriend ordered zesty Nachos were delicious and tasty..will definitely come back here..

My family and I came in to eat late lunch on Tuesday and our experience was splendid. Thank you so much to the lovely sweet girl who was working by herself holding the place down! She greeted us and took our orders with patience and kindness, I deeply appreciate her because my son is disabled so it’s a bit challenging (we’ve had pretty rude servers at this location in the past) and she went right back and cooked our order to perfection! I forgot her name but I believe she is a manager, her service was outstanding, made sure everything was perfect and had everything we needed. We will definitely be coming for lunch more often!

It was way more expensive than I thought Dennys was. It's also difficult to get to due to traffic and construction. The food was really tasty.

My son and I came for an early dinner and we had the server named Noelle! She was great! Kept our glasses full and our table clean and she even gave my son a sticker! The food was out fast and it was warm! Food was exactly as we ordered it! Overall great experience!

Have never had a problem with the food or the staff. Both have always been good for me. I always order breakfast. The buttermilk pancakes were very fluffy and delicious. I am knocking off a star for cleanliness though. Table was sticky and floor was unswept.

Stacy, who works the night shift provided excellent customer service. We loved the small details of Christmas decorations. The hash browns could have been a little more better, a little undercooked. The wheat pancakes are delicious. But those were also undercooked, but still good. Stacy did go above and beyond for the milkshake, after they had shut down their machines.

Can not go wrong with a cheeseburger and onion rings was awesome. And my waitress had a really cute voice.

Ok so my 4star rating is only because of the restroom issue's, everything else was really good. Server was prompt, polite, and helpful. Food was hot, fast and tasty.

Typical Dennys... not fancy, and the food is just "okay," especially for the price. If you are looking for a cheap breakfast, this is your place. At least while the Grand Slam is only $5.99. The other breakfast prices were higher and not sure worth it. I gave it 4 stars since the food was okay for the portion sizes, and the service was decent.

Visited this place for a late dinner with friends. The waitress was confused when we asked the eggs to be over-easy and had to have another waitress to come make sure what we asked for. Friend ordered a salad and had to ask for it after her main meal was brought out. We had to ask for butter and jelly which should be a no brainer when you have toast and pancakes. We asked for lemon slices and when the server gave it to us the bowl the lemon was in had some kind of liquid that looked like milk. Trip to the men’s bathroom was not a good experience when dining out. It smelt so bad that I would have walked back out if I didn’t need to use it. And don’t even think about having to use the toilet. This place is really ran down. We asked if they could lower the music and it never was lowered making it hard to hear, especially when you are hard of hearing to start with. When we got the bill they charged our friend over $13 for a $7.99 Super Slam and would not change the price saying he got extra bacon. He had 4 slices of paper thin bacon. That is what comes with the meal. We will not be going back.

The service itself was fantastic! Our waitress was great! Unfortunately when my husband was eating his fries he ended up getting a nice long black hair from the cook mixed in his fries. My suggestion is the cook should be required to have her hair in a net or tight bun. Not in I loose bun like she had it. Like I said the waitress was great and made the issue right!

Ordered a waffle grand slam, it was good, except for the small hard burnt waffle. It was like overcooked burnt, like dark brown on the inside and hard so I only ate what was edible around the edges.

Stopped on the way back from Oklahoma for a quick breakfast. Hash browns were a little undercooked in the center, but food was good and brought out quickly. Not bad for Denny's.

Not sure if the kitchen staff knows, or maybe they just don't care, but what's said in the kitchen can be heard loud and clear at the row of tables closest to the kitchen. What and who you do in your off time is your business but I'd rather not hear about it while I'm shoving crepes in my face 🤣

Tried to eat here at about 0445, place looked closed (no one visible inside, half the interior lighting was off). pulled around the back and saw a guy standing by his truck. I asked him if they were closed, he told me they were only taking to-go orders (not sure if this gentleman was a customer or an employee). Waffle House claims they close at night now "for safety" and I'm hoping this was a one-time thing (staffing issues) and not Denny's following suit as their new full time policy. This isn't Houston or Detroit or Orlando.This is Denton, by far the least unsafe place I've ever lived. The whole point of places like Denny's, Waffle House, IHOP, etc are that you can go in and sip on some coffee and enjoy the peace and quiet. Disappointed.

I have loved this dennys since I was a kid. I worked there when I was a teenager and agin in my early 20s. The nachos have always been my go-to comfort food with a side of pancake puppies. I got the nachos tonite and to say they were TERRIBLE is an understatement. They tasted like warm/wet dog food mixed with watery cheese sauce. The pico was none existent and the sour cream was the only thing that was as good as remembered.

The cook was really bad. My toast was hard as a brick. My pancakes were cold. My sausages was burnt. I don’t think I’ll ever come back to this place again.

Table wasn't clean, it had syrup all over it. My eggs weren't cooked the way I asked. I got my coffee and water rather quickly after I sat down, but never got asked about a refill until I got the check. This visit was not a good experience.

We just left dennys, as soon as we walked in it smelt musty/stinky, but we continued to sit down and order, not even half way through our meal, there comes a roach climbing onto the table from the wall. We notified our server, which she was really great and nice, and she asked if we wanted to move to a different table my mom said "no we want to leave" and she lets us leave and we didnt have to pay for the meal, my mom was very disappointed because she didnt finish her food. The service was really great and attendant but the atmosphere was horrible.

My daughter and went to go eat at Dennys at 1 am, we actually chose Dennys over Ihop, BIG MISTAKE on our part. As soon as we walk in we both look at each other noticing a very strong musty dirty smell but we peoceeded to sit down. I had only taken a couple if bites from my food when i notice a roach crawling from the wall onto our table, we call our server over, without making a scene, and showed her. She was shocked and asked if we wanted to move to a different table, i said " no we want to leave" and we did witout having to pay for our order. We should have just went to IHOP.

20 bucks for some old food, my order was done in 2 minutes, I had to go back to the hotel to heat my food up. To top it off my server just looked like he did not want to work. The place was not busy, I don’t understand why I couldn’t get fresh food. I can go next door to brisket burger for some good quality food for the same price, or Waffle House, or even Dairy Queen. All three of those restaurants have impressed me during my stay here at the red roof hotel. Dennys however was horrible

I went in sunday morning for breakfast with my husband , it was packed and a long line at the door a server told us about the 30 min wait we were fine with that because she was kinda about it and made sure we knew what to expect, I felt horrible for the servers what type of manger doesn't schedule a cook on memorial day!!!!! The server was amazing her name was Alexis she had a great additued even with all the chaos going on she was giving great service and was constantly checking In with us , as servers is not there fault that our food took so long it's the mangers fault for not putting a cook ,now if you go in there to supposedly step in at least cook in a good time period not 50 min ..... as a restaurant owner myself this manger is all over the place and it's bringing her servers down I can just imagine how bad those poor girls tips where not to say the amount of people we say walk out because she had no food coming out !!!!! Eveytime the servers would check on there food she would just scream and say I'm working on it .... horrible manging do better great service thank you to the young lady's that greeted us that morning, I wish I could have gotten the name of the manger that was there

I asked if she could find out and she literally yelled back to the cook and they were like I don't know. Like can someone please do your job and go look. Very rude waitress and cook. Our server, according to our receipt, is someone named Indi J. I ordered the All American Slam, as did my husband. His order came out with toast instead of the pancakes he had ordered, which that was corrected fairly quickly. I asked for NO cheese on the eggs, it comes with cheese unless you specify otherwise, which I did. It comes with hashbrowns, I asked for fruit instead for a slight upcharge. It comes with bacon and sausage links, I specified twice when I was ordering with Indi for extra, EXTRA crispy bacon. I even asked for it to be so crisp that I could snap it in half. Indi repeated everything back and agreed with me on liking bacon to be crisp. While we were waiting on our meal, another customer came in who our server Indi seemed to be very friendly with. We noticed his food came out well before ours and as our seats were close enough together, we heard him order the same meal as we did. Our meal came out a long while later. My eggs had cheese that I had requested not be on them, the bacon was so undercooked that I could take my fork and fold it over, floppy and undercooked. I had asked for fruit and was served hashbrowns. Basically my entire order had to be sent back and this was after already waiting almost 45 minutes at a more than half empty restaurant. I never got the crispy bacon, altho Indi said she would return with it and the fruit was basically a bowl of brown banana slices and a few grapes. Bad experience all around. I left the undercooked bacon and the fruit at the table. Usually this Denny's is fairly good but after that experience, I doubt I will be back any time soon. No apologies for the mistakes or the long wait but sadly that seems how it is at a lot of places. I probably could have overlooked all of it and not left this review if they had been busy that day but they were not busy at the time we were there and regardless of that, the bad service and no apology for it, that should be called out and attention brought to it. Hopefully they will improve and do better in the future.

UPDATE. I TRIED Denny's again.. WAITER MEMORIZES ORDERS and without paper I was amazed. He got every single thing wrong at my table and everyone within ear shot. Took 10 minutes to get a table. 45 minutes for a screwed up meal. 30 minutes more for the hash browns and pancakes after the cold eggs got here. RUN to the new IHOP or Cafe Brazil down the street.

Bugerking was better the milk shake hurt my stomach my mom found a piece of wood in her food the fruit was bad eggs were cold the only thing was good was the waitress Katlyn was nice

It was my birthday...The pancakes tasted like they were spoiled maybe that was because the AC wasn't working. which should of been a red flag OFF TOP! I do not recommend however the waitress Ashley was alright she could have offered us another item to replace those bad ones. This the second time now that I've had bad experience. I didn't come for a year now it's about to be some more years. The best one I like is the one on Jim Miller in East Dallas. We got melanated people cooking at the other one! Food be good. However I know I won't be back dont think I'll be back... THE WORST EVER

I drive for Uber Eats and got offered to pick up food from Denny's on July 9 at around 1 am. EVERYTHING I've seen online, from the Maps location description to the Denny's website, said this location is open 24 hours. It was not; all the lights were on and you could go inside, but there was no host, and finally, when I found an employee cleaning, they said it was closed. Please, clearly communicate your hours! You cost me money and raised my cancellation rate, plus cost my customer their food.

Terrible service. We were the only people currently seated, not busy in any stretch, and our waitress still didn't check on us a single time after our food arrived. We got the all you can eat pancakes and soda, but never got refills on either. We gave up on waiting for her after we had been sitting with empty plates and cups for over twenty minutes. She was sitting in a booth behind the register on her phone when we went up to pay, and looked surprised to see us as if she forgot we were there. Never received the bacon we ordered either.

I am coming back to change my review. 5 months ago food was excellent and the server was even better. We have been a couple more times with the same experience. This weekend we went in and the service was not great. 3 of my four items were wrong. Simple instructions such as no butter on the pancake, eggs on a separate plate and crispy bacon. The multigrain pancakes were a joke. Not only did they smash butter into the middle, it seemed like they used regular batter and tossed some “multigrain” on the grill. The eggs came out on the same plate - I don’t eat eggs. The bacon was not only not cooked it had no flavor at all. I asked if they changed management recently and the answer was yes. We won’t be back. Waste of money. Roletha is the absolute best server. We went to Denny’s because I wanted multigrain pancakes and we ended up sitting in Roletha’s section. We will ask for her every time. You won’t be disappointed in the service. By the way - the multigrain pancakes are wonderful.

Just horrible. Come here many times and have never had the experience we had tonight. Stuff in my omelet, I didn't even order. Girlfriends hamburger had cheese that was not asked for and lettuce that was absolutely disgusting. The bun was so hard it was breaking in pieces. Ordered steak fries and got seasoned fries and then when they tried to fix that sent steak fries that were not even done.Just absolutely the worse food I have eaten here. So very disappointing 😞

Do not eat at this place I was there recently. Food cold,coffee cold and then on top of that the waitress gets my order wrong.Entire breakfast for 2 49.50 cup of coffee 3.99 tasted like swamp water🙄 Staff unfriendly from the waitress to the cashier. Don't Do It!!!!

On a Saturday we watched other people receive their food before us, waited over 35 minutes for our food, and it finally came, well SOME of it. We were missing items, it was cold, and the cooks were skipping orders. The butter on my pancake would not even MELT. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK. The poor servers were slammed and it was ALL the kitchen's fault!!!!! When we asked to speak to the manager, we were told the manager was cooking ... as they brought out MORE WRONG FOOD. RIDICULOUS.

I ordered zesty nachos and the cheese was unmelted, meat was in a separate container with hardly any chips. I’m highly disappointed! I will be calling tomorrow to request a refund…

I have ordered uber eats twice from here and each time the meal had a WHOLE content out. first time was a brownie —i only got ice cream. 2nd was a grand slam - 3 eggs with cheese were missing when it was described, so all i had was hash brown that were soggy and toast. so disappointing as if the manager isn’t even there. this location needs to be shut down.

Service was terrible. Server sat at table, let me seat myself and wait awhile before I got my menu. Restaurant was empty. They were rude and glaring at me. Average food which took a long time to make in empty restaurant but maybe short staffed. Go to Brisket Burger next door. I was going to dine in but felt unwelcome there. $25 with a tor the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Pretty weird for Denton but this is a chain, probably no management or leadership or training. That's a shame as I gave find memories of Denny's when I was in college. Skip this place.

Waited 30 min to be finally approached by a lady wearing a managers shirt who said she had no cook & didn't know how to cook. Why are you a manager if you can not cook? She asked us to leave since she could not cook us anything. She had a server who was willing to help but she said no. Also was using all kinds of profanity while calling the cook that was supposed to be there. I feel bad for her, but definitely not professional, and as a manager you should know how to cook. Disappointing.

We come here all the time and pretty much order the same thing every time and never have any issues. We went today and got there around 1:30pm with maybe 3 other booths occupied. We placed our order within 5 minutes of sitting and didn’t get our food until 2:15. My moons over my hammy bread was torn and soggy, one half of the sandwich had Swiss cheese on it, the other half had yellow American cheese that wasn’t even melted. My husbands grand slamwich was missing bacon and the cheese wasn’t melted either. Both of our hashbrowns were cold in the middle and had no seasonings whatsoever. We asked for plates for our appetizer and never even got those. We’ve sat and watched every other booth get their food but us. Plus the guy who sat us looked extremely bothered that he had to get up from a booth and sit us. We’ve never had any issues at dennys and enjoy coming here but we won’t be coming back to this branch.

I ordered through DoorDash and they forgot to put my pancakes in the bag that I paid an extra four dollars for. Myself and the dasher called several times and they do not pick up the phone. My dasher literally turned her dasher app off to go get my food so Dennys inconvenienced two people and no apology or any type of customer service

First time there terrible experience , food was absolutely disgusting, crystal the manager terrible customer service!! Food took 45min and and the portions was a joke my son couldn't even eat his food eggs were in a pool of oil hash browns all burn sausage all dry and burn absolutely disgusting... server was great but manager Crystal do better !! I dont recommend this place at all !

I dont know what happened to this particular place. The waitress spoke no English, the food was mediocre. We ordered omelets and they placed the stuffing on the plate and slapped an egg or 2 on top with a very tiny amount of cheese. The hash browns were undercooked. The tea was stale and nasty. I used to eat there a lot more often, but will no longer be returning. It makes me sad. I have a lot of old wonderful memories there.

When we walked in, the place had an unpleasant smell, but we were still willing to give it a try. The host told us to sit anywhere, even though there were several empty tables and no other customers. The staff was gathered together, and after sitting for about five minutes, no one came over to greet us or offer menus. We even noticed the only other guest had to get up and ask for a refill, and the server moved very slowly to help them. At that point, we decided to leave and head to Waffle House instead. It’s disappointing to see how customer service has declined.

I went to Denny's for a fast pick-me-up, but instead I received a mouthful of nastiness. The server was quite disrespectful and made my partner and I feel uncomfortable. While watching her serve other tables better than we had, she hardly recognized us at all. She would have received a better tip, but with that attitude, it's a hard no. I'm not sure if our presence disturbed her. I think the name of our waitress was Crystal. It is unacceptable, the employees at this Denny's need to be retrained and that significant work be done especially with Crystal.
