My husband and I and my 2 boy's had dinner here kinda late last night, almost closing time and they still brought us out a bunch of fresh pizzas and pasta for us to enjoy. We will definitely be returning soon. The pizza and salad bar was on point. Very delicious 😋.

I’ve been eating at Dave’s all over Texas since 1990. It has a great menu and assortment of options. The buffet is always a favorite with pizza, salad, rolls, and desserts. Carry out usually includes pizza and rolls. This location is always high quality and provides excellent customer service.

Pizza was good, a little bready, and it kept coming. Salad bar was pretty good too. Pizza is a subjective topic, and I just gave food 4 stars because I prefer my crust thinner.

I've worked in a couple of different "fast food" places making pizza over the years, and most of my professional career has been spent in either education or some form of ministry. So I think that I can say that know pizza lol. Pizza is still my favorite food, too, so when it comes to pizza places, I tend to be hyper-critical. So believe me when I say that jf you're looking for the classic American pizza buffet experience, I've always had good experiences with this location. The prices are decent, they keep a good rotation of fresh and tasty pizzas on the buffet (the seasonal specials always seem to be worth a trip on their own), the tables and floors are almost always clean even during rush hours, and the staff is usually friendly and helpful. I've been here a handful of times every year for the past 3 or 4 years now (missed it during the pandemic, though!), and there's something to be said for a business that's just consistently and reliably good.

This place actually has good pizza. It looks pretty expensive to add options, but especially with the amount of food they give you, it's much more worth than competitors nearby. It's not the most amazing pizza in the world, but it is delicious and satisfying.

First time diner. Didn't have high expectations, but I gotta say, for the price, the food was pretty good and it felt like an old-school pizza joint. I'd choose Double Dave's over CiCis any day of the week.

I recently visited Double Dave’s ,and I was so impressed! The place is spotless—everything looks brand new and incredibly well-maintained. The cleanliness really stood out, which made the whole experience so much more enjoyable. On top of that, the food was amazing—fresh, flavorful, and yummy. My favorite was the pizza roll,it was absolutely delicious and a must-try! It’s clear they put a lot of care into every detail. I’ll definitely be coming back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a lovely environment!

Very nice pizza buffet. New pizzas were brought out every 5 minutes or so. I was wary of the reviews but I was glad I came in to try it. The owners seemed very kind and staff kept the place tidy. Pizza was far superior to Cicis. I’ll would return again.

I recently visited Double Dave's Pizza, and I have to say, their service and food were both outstanding! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and attentive. They made sure I was comfortable and had everything I needed. The pizza was absolutely delicious – the crust was perfectly crispy, the toppings were fresh, and the cheese was melted to perfection. I also tried their pepperoni rolls, and Stromboli which were amazing! Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I highly recommend Double Dave's Pizza to anyone looking for great food and excellent service.

What a beautiful new location that was built it’s stunning the pizza quality is and always has been great and to what I consider the best pizza quality and taste in the city of Denton keep up the great work you all do not disappoint when it comes to your pizza I definitely recommend to anyone who hasn’t had Double Dave’s pizza yet to go in ahead and try it weather it’s dine in with the buffet carry out or delivery you will be satisfied and not disappointed

We came in about 430 pm. The team immediately went into fresh mode. They had fresh pizzas out before we even saw the buffet, and because of the kids, they made sure to get pepperoni and cheese out for them first. They really went above and beyond today.

Pizza rolls are so good, also i love a good salad bar. Asked the cashier for a spinach alfredo pizza and it was made super fast o was shocked it came out so fast and great. Also the bathroom was super clean which is always impressive considering all the little kids there.

Often I end up eating a late lunch as happened today. I ordered online for a quick on and out. Even before I received my order within 3 minutes of entering inside. I was impressed by the clean and fresh appealing decor. This was not the same decor as the 30th street location I frequented in Austin. My pizza rolls were fresh and tasty… a little sparse on the pepp and cheese but the crust was the winner. The decor called me to stick around and eat at one of the many clean tables, viewing multiple wide screens showing espn, local news and entertaining, but non-offensive, family friendly viewing. Walked in after a long gym session with my good friend and gym partner. We were greeted nicely by the manager, and quickly paid our entry. The pizza was fresh, plentiful, and tasted great! The manager offered twice to make anything we wanted fresh, but we were well served with what was on offer at the buffet. Pricier than cici's, but twice as good by far! Double Dave's is worth the cost of admission and more, definitely eat here.

my daughter just told me that she truly loves their pizza and to give them 10 stars. since we can only give them 5, that's what they get. But the pizza was so good also. crust, toppings, clean on the edges like the old style in Italy. Loved it.

Pizza is delicious different sizes for different prices pick your poison 😂. Cici's style buffet if anyone is wondering. I think it's like 13 bucks per person don't know if the drink is included I didn't eat at the buffet. I paid 19.89 for a large pepperoni pizza and a drink free refills, ate what I could there. Took the rest for leftovers. Friendly helpful staff. Will definitely go back 😂.

Love eating here. Pizza is always fresh. The salad fixings are always fresh and feels like just prepared by hand and not from a bag of store bought salads. They always asks of you want a certain pizza cooked and make it immediately. I drive by this place daily and never really thought about stopping by until today. My girls were wanting pizza but they only like cheese and i like the all beef. Then I remembered someone telling me that this place was a buffet so we decided to give it a try. And the verdict is Two thumbs up!! The pizza quality was good, the price was more than fair, the salad bar was right on and the staff was super nice and friendly! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for for good pizza at a good price!

EDIT: I appreciate DoubleDave's reply and stated commitment to keeping my feedback in mind. I don't normally show up that close to closing time but it would be good if that transparency (good summary word!) is increased. ORIGINAL: I've had good experiences here. I'll probably still come back, too. But tonight was disappointing. I came in 10 min before close (they close the buffet at 9 but make pizza or whatever until 10 they claim). Yes, I know that's not cool showing up that late, but I was going to get a pizza to go. But they had the ovens off already. Why do you advertise you are open until 10 pm to make pizzas if you're not going to take orders near the end of those hours? Set your hours based on when you will actually serve customers. If you want, at least advertise secondary hours for when you stop making food.

Definitely a great place! I see myself coming back for sure! I liked the pizza options, they had 2 rounds fresh come out while I was there, once when I got there then again towards the end. I wish the desserts had too, only got to try a couple. The pepperoni rolls were okay too, just missing something. 2 people with drinks on a Friday night came out to $23, good deal. We ate well!

We really like coming to Dave’s! Have been for at least ten years. The salad bar is good and the Pizzas keep coming out hot and fresh. If you want a certain kind of pizza just ask!

Prices were pretty good, it was $7.99 for 11 and up and $4.99 for ages 4-10. We got water which was free so I'm not sure how much it was for fountain drinks but I do know it was an additional charge. They had fresh pizzas coming often, pretty good choices for everyone and if you didn't see what you liked or wanted all you have to do is make a request and they have no problem making it for you. When it's brought to the buffet they call out the type of pizza and let you know if it was a special order. They had salad and pasta as well. My husband took myself, my nieces and nephew and my best friend. The kids ate their fill and when asked their opinion they said they loved it and would want to come back again soon.

Fits the bill when you want to over indulge in average Pizza. Timing is everything, go too early for dinner and you have to wait for fresh pie. Past 6pm and the place is packed. I take the kids here about once a month when I don't have the desire to cook at home after school. Place is clean and the service is great.

Pretty darn good for being so affordable. The pizzas were coming out fresh and hot. They even have special orders they'll put out in case they haven't made your favorite in a while. The dessert pizzas were also super delicious. Would definitely go here again.

DoubleDaves is always a solid choice for a fairly cheap dinner outing, get your fill on pizza and watch some sports on the multiple TVs around the joint. Definitely better than other pizza buffets like CiCi's but you can tell they put a lot more love into the individual pizzas which is totally understandable. I do wish they'd do a lesser version of their Pizza of the Month as a buffet option, giving me reason to actually buy the individual pizzas to take home. Though the buffet is well worth it for the money, if you're a starving college student like me grab a friend and compete to see who can eat the most pizza like I posted in the pic. DoubleDaves will always have my business as long they keep doing their consistently decent pizza buffet.

Only complaint is I went to the main website and it had the old address so went to the old location and it had the for lease sign up. At least Google had the right address. New location is much easier parking wise and more roomy. Food still good and I don't get the complaint about the selection on the buffet. There was quite a bit (on a Tuesday at 3pm) and you can request anything you want on the line and it's out within minutes. Food was like it always has been so if you like their stuff, it's gonna be the same.

It's buffet pizza and salad, which is always a banger. Arrival was a bit disconcerting, but just walk straight and you'll run into the counter. As one could guess from buffet pizza, quality can be hit and miss, but they kept everything fresh and warm. For taste, I was actually surprised, as there were some otherworldly pleasures to be found hiding in the midst. Selection at the pizza and salad bars is quite good. The entire restaurant was littered with character, funny signs put up, posters, some show lights and the like. Certainly better than some places I've been to. The booth we sat at was a touch tight, but not uncomfortable once I got seated, and ample table space to boot. All-in-all, I'm gonna find myself going again in the future.

DoubleDave's Pizzaworks at 2002 W University Dr, Denton, TX 76201 I got here early to enjoy some good pizza 🍕 😁 and the price 💸 was pretty reasonable for the amount of food that you were offered. It's a very nice restaurant inside with plenty of seating and the restroom area was clean. My favorite item was this cheese 🧀🥩 steak stromboli, it taste so good. This is a better Pizza 🍕 buffet than most. Highly would recommend coming here to enjoy this delicious pizza 🍕

Pizza is good, it can be pricey if you order just pizza but the best bang for the buck is definitely the all day buffet , there are almost 11 different pizzas available in the buffet, along with salad , different dressings and toppings in the buffet.

The atmosphere and big screens are what draw us here. Love coming to watch sports on their big screens with my kids. I don’t find their pizza to be particularly great. The whole crust is often a bit on the crunchy side and I really like more soft and almost a bit doughy. Their salad bar is among the best at any pizza buffet though. Very friendly. If the pizza were more preferable I’d definitely give them a 4 star rating.

The customer service was ok, not exceptional. The salad bar there was plea th to choose from for the price of the buffet. The pizza was not bad but not great! Total paid was bought $14 included a soft drink.

Not as nice as the Lubbock location their signature items they were out of such as their pepperoni rolls and Stromboli. The pizza initially was cold but they did begin to replace it. Slowly and the hot pizza was good but took to long to replace and the signature items never got replaced. Not worth going for the pizza alone, it's one of those restaurants that leans on its specialty especially at $30 for 2 buffets, as the pizza is on level if not slightly under little ceasers.

This isn't the Double Dave's you knew. They're very stingy with the pizza, no telling how old the pizza was. The sad part is that it's good flavor. Made me sick though.

We have been to Doubledave's many times over the Years and were so excited to try DoubleDave's new location yesterday! The place looks So GREAT, Nice and New! The Cashier Lady was very friendly. The Salad Bar and Drinks were Tasty, as expected! Unfortunately & Especially For the Price WE paid for Two Buffets and 2 Drinks, the Pizza Experience was Super Sad! Maybe it was because we went for an early Date Night Dinner, instead of 5-7pm Dinner Time, However, if the Price is going to be The Same, The Food should be The Same, as well. It should be Hot and Fresh, and unfortunately that was not our experience this time.

DOUBLE DAVE'S PIZZAWORKS 07-02-24 We walk in and you can tell it’s an older restaurant. The place was clean and staff friendly. Me and my grandson ate lunch here. We had the buffet which had Pizza, Spaghetti with sauce and a Salad Bar. The buffet was pretty well stocked with a good variety. Salad Bar was nice and had many choices. They even had Desert pizzas. Overall it was OK, nothing special. Food was bland. It was busy so many people like it. As with most places you have a hit or miss! Today was a miss for me. Maybe give it another try on down the road.

We love pizza, we wanted different kind of pizza option. We got it alright. Pizza was hard to chew. The flavor was okay. The salad had great options. Clean restroom. Pizza was a bit slow to stock up, options were slow.

I’m not from this state but my God that was the worst pizza I ever ate it tasted like it came out of a box frozen and into the oven The boneless wings oh no the mousiest chicken I’ve ever eaten

Buffet is way overpriced. They print credit card transactions for you to sign to prompt for tips despite the fact they are the owners. Pay yourself more, build it into the price and quit asking for tips, especially when the price is so high versus the quality of food. Pizza is mediocre, spaghetti is bland but the desserts are okay.

First time going to Double Dave's in several years. This location is nothing more than a more expensive CiCis. Food was OK, selection very limited. Clean, minimal staff. If it were priced more in line with what you get, it would probably be more successful. I was disappointed to say the least, but more so in the cost relative to what you get.

I've eaten here several times to give it a fair shot. The Atmosphere has been completely thrown in the garbage can at this new location. No sound on the TVs and no music except from the kitchen. The lighting blocks the view of several of the muted TVs. All sound echos through the entire lobby and makes the dining experience awkward. The design of this location was not thought out well enough to outperform the previous location. Overall, the dining experience is boring and depressing. Service at the counter is good! The pizza is usually pretty good, the salad bar is pretty well kept and the pasta and sauce are good. Desert options are ok, but could use a little more "pizzazz!". I don't think we'll be coming back here anytime soon, or at least until the dining experience has been greatly improved.

Only ones in on a Tuesday night. Foods cold and plastic like. Lobby is dead quiet with no music but you can hear the books blasting music from the kitchen. Cherry on top is cashier wouldent hand me my change. He slid it over the counter. Found that odd.

It was terrible!! The pizza took so long to come out and it tasted cheap!! The salad bar was not the best because the vegetsbles wete cut into big chunks, ugh. We will never go back!!

I went there for lunch, I got there about 1230 . The pizza was only warm at best. The taste was like an off brand frozen pizza, not good. The buffet of pizza was very well picked over. It was my first time there and I was not impressed to say the least. I normally go to Pizza Capris doen by Buc cees they are the best.

Seems they are in need of dire help. There was nobody at the front desk. You could just walk in and eat and walk out without laying cause nobody is up front. 1 couple walked out and we soon followed. Pizze looks like it may be ok. Typical local pizza buffet. Wish I could say the food was good but we left and ended up at a different local pizza place.

Pizza was a solid -10/10. Half of it was cold. The quality just wasn’t there. The only good thing was the chocolate pudding and the chocolate chip ‘pizza’ do NOT waste your time or money coming here. Better off going to cici’s. If I could give them a negative review, I’d give them that. The pickles are also OLD and flimsy.

My wife and I decide to try the new location last night, 12-23, on West University, Denton. What a disappointing dining experience it was. We arrive approximately 5:45 pm, paid for our meal and then the wait began. There was no pizza ready for consumption. Finally, after a long wait and continually asking about the food, it finally came out. Not very tasty. We were disappointed both in the salad bar as well as the pizza. Not worth the price. I wanted a refund and was told by the cashier there are no refunds. Will not return.

I would have just spoken to a manager on the phone about the concerns at hand, but the employee on the phone let me know at 8pm on a Friday night there wasn’t one and they wouldn’t be back until the following day. Called around 7pm on Thursday evening to place an order for a box set because I got the advertisement in my mail and thought that was a great idea to add some volume to my Christmas party the following Friday evening at 7pm. So 24 hours in advance for a pizza order. I make the order, I ask if they provide delivery and they said yes so I wanted to participate in that as it alleviated some of the stress while hosting a party. I ask to change the pepperoni rolls to cheesy rolls last minute before hanging up and the employee lets me know they couldn’t change the order any longer, no biggie that’s my fault for not saying it earlier, they charge my card and we move on. 7pm on Friday comes and my guest are arriving and I do not see the pizza being delivered. 7:12 I call, same employee answers the phone and I explain that I haven’t seen the pizza and was wondering if they had left yet. They do not have an order for me and proceed to ask my name three times and have me spell my last name a fourth time. They then ask what I had and I explain the box set (which is a larger order) and they go oh yea I think I remember your order from yesterday… IDK why I can’t see it now… I then am getting nervous due to a room full of people for my party being here without the order even being ready. I ask when it will be arriving after I give them the whole order again and they say between 30-40 min. Great, we can work with that! 40 min pass and no pizza… I call the store and the employee lets me know that the pizza looks like it may be getting done now and then it’s being boxed. At this point I ask for a manager and they let me know that they don’t have one at 8pm on a Friday night and he would be back tomorrow…. I asked if there was a shift lead, a key holder, someone in charge and they continued to tell me no. I asked who closed the building and locked the door at the end of the night and was told just the employees that work there…. I asked when the pizza would be arriving and they stated they weren’t sure as they were very busy…. This is why I ordered 24 hours in advance… They then state that they will have the delivery driver stop working and doing their job so they can deliver my order instead. I thanked them and hung up. Another 30 min pass the order finally arrives, it’s hot! We’re all excited, I get everything plated for my guest and then the chocolate chip dessert pizza is missing which is apart of the bundle….

I highly recommend getting your pizza elsewhere, unless you’re a fan of horrible experiences

Well, I am very sorry to say this but this visit to this place was not a good one We got the buffet. We also was supposed to get some bone-in wings mild, but we didn't get them... I got a couple of pieces of pizza, and they were cold and old! You would think that they ought to be hot and fresh,but they weren't! My friend and sister felt the same way-we were all very disappointed! When our friend went to talk to the cashier for a refund, she didn't know how to make that possible,but was told that she would contact her boss. That was about $58.00 dollars wasted! We didn't get the wings, and so we all was disappointed-the lady said that she would rewarm that old and cold pizza-how is that possible?! We won't be back because we don't want yesterday's leftovers! Go to Cici's Pizza-they are a lot better in quality. And I also wanted to add that the owner is wrong-I didn't come in there mad, and it wasn't ME who paid for the buffet, but it was my friend who paid for us, but because of the bad quality of the pizza, SHE asked for the refund, and she called, but still didn't get it!

I came here today after my son’s doctor appointment on my Mom’s suggestion. The pizza buffet is overpriced and there is virtually no selection. When I arrived around 12pm today there was no pizza left on the pizza buffet and the only pizza available was cold and stale. We were there for 30 to 40 minutes but I never saw any fresh pizza being brought out during our stay. I was only able to handle eating 2 pretty cold and stale pieces of cheese pizza. After that I couldn't handle eating the pizza any more so I had to just stick with the salad bar after that.

This was my visit since they've opened the new location. I paid $18 for old pizza and beverage. Even with the salad bar, the salad started looking brownish, the ham looked like it had gone bad with a fly stuck in the ham slime. I waited over 10 minutes for them to bring out fresh BUT nope. I tried the pizza that looked the most fresh, but it was even stale, luke warm, and very light on sauce. This was not worth $12.99 for the buffet. The area itself was big enough with mounted TVs and playing music. Clean overall in the sitting area and bathroom. But I won't come again.

Was really disappointed with my visit. The food was extremely greasy and ended up upsetting my stomach afterward. For the price, I expected much better quality and cleaner preparation. The staff didn’t seem very attentive or concerned about customer satisfaction either. Overall, it felt overpriced and careless. I wouldn’t recommend eating here unless major improvements are made.

they moved locations further down university Ave and it's still absolute trash. almost all the pizzas on the buffet had pepperoni or just cheese. rip off waste of money over $29 for 2 buffets to get ripped off they skimp on toppings. then they have diced bologna on the salad bar trying to pass it off as ham in little small diced peices . whatever you do don't waste your money they don't have variety just trying to be cheap serving thin shaves of ham and mainly pepperoni what a dam scam
