We were three people for Sunday dim sum. The restaurant was full but we were seated within 15 minutes. The roast duck and the turnip cake were excellent. The service was fast and accurate.
This place is pretty yummy for an authentic Cantonese dim sum. I ate with my parents, uncle, aunt, and grandma since and it's only 2 minutes drive from my house. Their service is very good and their waiters and waitress are very reliable and fast to respond to needs from what I notice my table and others. Their dim sum is superb and I would even order lunch Togo here for my house again next time. Thanks for the yummy dimsun and the price is alright for a dim sum and manageable for mme
Food was great! Service was a little slow, but that's to be expected at a dim sum place. They only had steamed dim sum items for dinner, but that was good enough for us! Will definitely be back for lunch when all the dim sum items are on the menu!
This spot has been my favorite dim sum spot in the area for the past couple years. I didn't visit during the pandemic but I'm glad their quality hasn't changed! Their options are solid and while the price per dim sum is not the cheapest, I think it's competitive for the area. I can't wait for the carts to come back once things are back to normal (currently all orders come straight from the kitchen).
The dim sum here is very good and very well priced. The workers were very kind and the food came out fast! I really like all of their shrimp dishes. It was insanely good. They also have nice tea.
We placed an order to go and were taken care of quickly. The food was well packaged and properly sealed so we made it home without any leakage. The food was quite tasty and well proportioned except for the fried calamari. We thought it was a small serving for the price. Will go back but won't order that again.
Amazing dim sum. So much variety and the quality is fantastic. We ate so much we were rolling out of there. The mango dessert was my favorite. Started with some tea to warm the body on the rainy day.
Solid place for dim sum although parking is a little tricky. Hard to flag down a sever but they get to you eventually. Kinda expensive like most things in the Bay Area.
I ordered seafood chow mein (wide rice noodles) and beef with vegetables for takeout. The seafood was not too tasty, I needed to spice it up at home. The beef was delicious. Shrimp dumplings were great. 👍
Super friendly staff and great dim sum at a decent price!
Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the foods. They are all so good and the staffs are friendly and very nice 👍🏻 I love the egg tarts very much because they aren’t overly sweetened. The crust is fantastic.
I like this dimsum place, it's reliably tasty, has all the classics. They're usually pretty popping and parking can be a little difficult, just beware. If you ever see bbq duck baos, get them, they're great. I also like their salted egg yolk lava buns, they're baked and have a pineapple bun sort of top, not the typical steamed kind.
Great place for a family style dinner. One of the few restaurants that serves dim sum at dinner time. We ordered servings of dim sum, a whole crab, and several other dishes. The portions were large enough that we ended up taking four boxes to go! Very generous portions. Everything was delicious. One exception was the chow fun with eggplant and tofu. It was lightly sweet. It wasn't terrible, just different than we're used to. The service was really good, again not expected in a neighborhood Asian restaurant. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated, and brightly lit. Definitely recommended!!
Perfect authentic dim sum place for whole family. It can get very busy and run out of parking. We have been coming here for 20 years with HK in-laws
Was a great experience! Tasty food, friendly service. They even gave us extra dessert at the end! Would recommend
We've been coming here for over a decade. One of the best dim sum restaurants in the south bay. We came today and was able to sit inside. Not very busy but service and food was really good. Jessica was especially very friendly and attentive. Next time you're here, ask for her. The shrimp rolls, pork spare ribs, and chicken feet, are very close to being as good as those in Hong Kong. Don't forget to ask for fresh pastries. They're damn good and worth the trip alone.
This is and update since we come here often. We pass by a handful of other dim sum places but still travel to this restaurant even if it's far from us. It could definitely get busy specially on weekends. We like going to this authentic dim sum place even though it is far from us, it is worth the drive and worth the usual wait since they get busy. Why do they get busy? They have good food. Period.
A wonderful place for Cantonese food, with great service. Order giant clams and noodles, vegetarian fried rice, sautéed eggplant, hot and sour soup, and roasted duck. The food comes pretty fast. The tea they serve is made from flowers, not plastic pouch. At dinner they also serve a dessert. In our party said they did not prefer red bean, the staff, without being asked, brought Chinese doughnuts! So sweet.
We absolutely enjoyed our Dim Sum lunch here. The food was delicious, especially the roast duck! The service had great attention to detail and they were very kind. Very great experience and we will come back.
One of the Cantonese dim sum restaurant in Cupertino that captured my palate. My must visit restaurant whenever I am back in this part of the world. Not only they serve good dim sum, but also Cantonese dishes. Fried rice and chow mian are equally great too. Always loved to be speaking Cantonese with the staffs! 👍🏻
Food: Super delicious and worth the price! Recommend the fish ball, fried shrimp balls and the fried turnip cake. The shrimp you get is mouthful and mouthwatering tasty! Service: they are busy and no staff is assigned to a table somehow, so we need to get their attention whenever we need something. But they don’t charge tea fee, which is pretty good and the quality is nice too. Ambiance: very authentic dim sum place and good for any size of a party!
Friend of ours brought us here for lunch. This was my first time trying dim sum, which I was told is not served after lunch. Very yummy! Atmosphere is nice, plenty of parking and tasty food. We were greeted politely and escorted to a table. There is an order sheet on the table where you mark the items you want. Our friend ordered a few dishes for our party to share. Tea came shortly after, followed by bowls of hot, delicious various dim sum. We finished lunch with a mango gelatin dessert. Definitely want to come back to try dinner dishes.
My friend and I had dim sum lunch at New Port last week. The food was tasty except for one pork that was chewy like rubber. But the wait staff was kind enough to remove that item from our bill. My friend and I both wished that New Port would return to their prior practice of wait staff walking by with dim sum so customers could see exactly what they prefer. Currently New Port does not do that, so customers must guess based on a printed card. There is sufficient street level parking around the restaurant. New Port also offers non-dim sum Chinese meals. The restaurant is large and had a lot of customers.
We went for lunch and the restaurant seems to have been remodeled since I last went. It's brighter, slightly fancier and more comfortable. The dim sum was good though a different kind of variety than I am used to. Service was okay, parking is tight and overall it was a good experience.
Go-to Dim Sum place in Sunnyvale since before the newer & pricer ones opened up recently. Not original owners, it has changed multiple times now; however taste still seems familiar and consistent. Most choices are what you would find from the traditional dim menu. Not too much fancier and modern menu items. Prices are reasonable. Come early as parking in the lot can fill up.
Haven't been here for dim sum since pre-covid. I won't be staying away that long again. Everything we ordered was excellent. The menu was extensive and food came out quickly after placing our order. Miss the carts but hardly anyone does that these days. If you like dim sum and Cantonese food you can't go wrong here. Attentive staff handled a full house with ease.
Pretty delicious dim sum place. They no longer offer cart service, but will have some specials offered via servers carrying trays. You order on a sheet. Their service is faster because you're ordering instead of waiting for carts. Food is pretty good but sometimes dumplings come out a bit cold otherwise very good. A bit pricey for no cart service though
Reasonable price for decent dim sum! We went on the day before Thanksgiving at 11:30am and was surprised to see how crowded the restaurant was. We were promptly seated at a big table. No waiting for a table. Nice! They didn’t have the dim sum cart so we ordered by placing an order through a waitress. Food came reasonably soon. After 15 dishes of dim sum and a plate of fried rice, we were all satisfied. Someone ate 5 BBQ pork buns….yummy!!!
It’s the lowest cost dim sum we have since moved to Bay Area! We had Beijing duck ( recommended), BBQ port rice noodle roll(great),streamed shrimp dumplings, Shanghai pork dumpling, black pepper beef( recommended), preserved egg w pork congee. Total is around $60 includes tax! Dim sum taste good, will visit again. Come as earlier before 10:30 am if you can, otherwise you have to wait to get a table …
Solid dim sum place with blemishes. • Xiao long bao very tasty. • Shrimp dumplings exceptional (now that's hard to do, since it's so basic & common, but they made these go really well w soy & hot sauce by adding a dash of sugar). • Stuffed tofu skin (w pork & shrimp?) excellent. • Scallops & shrimp dumplings good. However, the quality of the beef was subpar: • Cold thin-sliced beef shank w jelly fish was barely adequate: jellyfish was too crunchy (undercooked) & beef meat didn't taste fresh. • Blackpepper beef pan-fried noodles suffered also from low quality beef. The noodles were fried to such crispness that it was unpleasant on the palate. Overall, stick w shrimp & pork, and you'll be alright. Service was about what you'd expect. Must wave down the waiting staff, but they delivered whatever we asked, including doing our complicated payment request correctly.
The customer service here is mid but that’s what you always get from going to these establishments. Very good food though. We always come here with my family.
No frills, no flowery bs, straight up dim sum. It's not game changing, but it's good and I definitely prefer this over the expensive rainbow colored stuff. Great spot for dim sum in the South Bay!
I went there expecting a dim sum cart, but they said they no longer operate dim sum carts. I was a little disappointed because I had high expectations, but since it was a weekday, it wasn't too crowded and it was relaxing. The food came out quickly and tasted good. We were looking for a place that operates a dim sum cart, so we are satisfied with this one-time experience.
Food is good. We went for dinner so it’s not traditional dim sum as we previously had. We ordered two main dishes and two dim sum and the food portion is large. They also provided free red bean soup which is delicious. Service is really nice, staff are super friendly. Would recommend and come back again.
Nice and spacious and bright with simple decor Chinese restaurant. We went here for some DimSum with family. We got lucky that we found a parking right in the busy parking lot. Nice service and good foods. Very busy during weekend so plan accordingly. Felt abit rush but overall had a great time here.
No wait on a weekday at noon on Thanksgiving week. Order from a paper menu. Everything except the green onion pancake was good. Black sesame mochi pastry was good. Black sesame wrapped in soft mochi and then in pastry dough. Also I like shrimp balls wrapped with sticky rice but most places don’t have it. We ordered xo noodle but after an hour and finishes all our other dishes, it never came so we canceled it. They have room for large parties. Parking lot is not very big, we got lucky someone was leaving when we pulled in. Prices were ok. Just don’t order off the dim sum menu. The salt and pepper tofu was $22. It was a pretty big plate and it was good.
Restaurant was quite busy when I visited so it was a bit of a wait for our food to be served but it never felt like you were being ignored by the staff. The food was delicious, both the shrimp har gow and cheung fan had a good amount of shrimp which I really liked. The xiaolongbao tasted nice but the bottoms stuck to the cups they come in and didnt have soup in them would be my one complaint. A pretty decent place for dimsum and one of the best in this area.
We are dim sum foodies . The location of this restaurant is good. We have seen a few family gatherings here. We like its choice of bitter melon rice noodles. The pork bun is good. The chicken feet is good but may not have strong flavor for others. Overall the dim sum is ok and we have seen better, but its location is convenient. In a return visit over Labor Day , it looks like it has done some remodelling , the dim sum has improved. We up the rating from 3 Star to 4 star. And we may come back to try the 佛跳牆 at $50 for 2.
We went to have brunch on Sunday around 11 am. There are people waiting already. Took us around 15 minutes to get in. Standard dim sum place. The dim sum are big. The taste and presentation is ok. I like the soy source egg noodle. It is very good. We also order a string beans. It was good as well. Plenty of parking but the parking stalls in the front are on a small size. Ones in the back are much larger.
Food was absolutely delicious as always. I’ve been to this spot many times and it’s our go-to dim sum place when we’re not willing to drive to SF. The wait to be seated was long and we waited even longer to get an order in. Wait staff was a little short with us but the food was delicious. Some family members got to some of the plates before I could get photos of them.
Peking duck only on Saturday. Bummer. Food was good. We will be back.
Food was pretty good. Singapore noodles are bland, and the pot sticker wrappers too thick. Service was spotty. Some of the wait staff was serving the food properly. What killed the experience for us was having to pack own food at the end of dinner. Despite us observing most other tables getting their food packed by the wait staff. Won't be returning for awhile.
I came here with my family on a weekend morning, and was able to get a seat fairly quickly. The food is alright - nothing special compared to other dim sum places, and a few of our dishes came out unpleasantly lukewarm or overly oily. I did really enjoy the "BBQ Pork Pastry," though - the flakiness and the relatively light and tender BBQ pork flavor was great. The chili oil was a letdown, with not much flavor or heat to speak of. The main downside was how difficult it was to communicate with the servers. I'm generally not too concerned about language barriers as long as I'm able to get what I need, but the servers here by and large do not speak English. This made for some difficulty in communicating my requests which I felt were fairly reasonable, such as asking for steamed rice or straws. One waiter acted frustrated when he misunderstood my request, and would frequently just listen to what we said then leave and ignore us. Overall, the food is okay but if you do not speak Chinese, I wouldn't recommend coming here.
pretty standard dim sum place maybe due to COVID best practices there aren’t many carts going around, most of the good stuff you have to order via menu also maybe I just haven’t had dimsum in a while but the food felt greasier than normal which is probably saying something Nice place to catch up with friends though
Food is good but the service is really pushy. The servers work too hard to sell their high end dim sum. They keep asking for your answers. No no no I do not want them! They get paid to ask but I don't get paid to answer. Leave me alone
The food here looks really good and I would have to say service is really fast for a dim sum restaurant. However, the food didn’t taste the greatest. The hagao when you pick it up, would immediately fall apart. The chicken feet wasn’t fresh and everything else had a very bland taste that they tried to spice up with too much white pepper. Compared to dim sum restaurants in San Francisco, Seattle or richmond, I have a hard time believing this place has such a high rating. I would say it’s ok. It satisfies a quick dim sum craving but I wouldn’t come here every time I want dim sum.
- Although one may not anticipate exceptional customer service at a Dim Sum place, I found the service to be acceptable. - Based on my personal preference, I rated the steamed dishes: shrimp and pork dumplings + shrimp rice noodle rolls, 4 out of 5. - However, I was disappointed to find that the deep-fried shrimp dumplings and deep-fried taro were served cold, as I had expected them to be hot (hot enough to the point of burning one’s tongue, as I had anticipated) and enjoyable, 2 out of 5. - The jellyfish and beef shank dish might not be suitable for those who aren’t adventurous to try new flavors as I found it to have a “unique” taste that may not appeal to everyone.
The parking lot is very small for the capacity of the restaurant. We went a bit after 11, and had to park on the street. We wait for 45 min to get seated. The menu displayed outside has 5 kinds of tea, but they didn't ask us what kind of tea we would like to have and just served it right away. The food were served quickly, but many dishes are lukewarm. Some dim sum are out of order.
3.5 stars. A good variety of dim sum, quick service, but a bit unsanitary? Definitely a good option for dim sum overall taste-wise. + Their cheung fan is hand pulled here! Very good quality noodle rolls. I definitely recommend the shrimp or the crispy fried dough noodle rolls. The fish fillet was not my favorite texture-wise. + My dim sum recommendations here: fried tofu, turnip cake, chicken feet, and the pan fried noodle rolls with XO sauce. + KEEP IN MIND: They charge $1.50 per person for tea. They cute our cheung fan with DIRTY scissors... The server noticed they were dirty and just tried to somewhat wipe it with the dirty towel that was on their tray.
Went on Saturday, 11:15am parking lot was full already, waiting line wasn’t long, but for 2-3 people group may take a while to get seats as the restaurant serves big tables for 5-7 people groups first. The food was disappointing, only the chicken feet was ok, the rest of the dim sum we ordered tasted plain and the beef stomach was hard to chew. I felt my homemade steamed ribs in the last picture is better.
I have been coming here for 20 years. It was always very reliable i Until recently. The food comes quickly, is hot, and looks good. What I noticed was that the food doesn't have the same taste pop than in the past. The dishes are more expensive and are smaller in portion size. The beef chow fun tasted bland and the few pieces of beef did not have that velvety feel as in the past. In fact, the few beef pieces that were in the dish was chunky and tough. Until they match the upped price with better quality dim sum, I will not be back. It's too bad, it was a "go to" for my family for the past 30 years. The v streak has ended.
The dimsum has changed. Maybe it's post pandemic. They used to serve wonderful dimsum, and now it's mediocre at best. One guy was running around to serve and do everything else needed for the customers. Can't see them continuing this way. I will not go back.
We came here on a Sunday and we sat down after waiting with a number for half an hour. This was fine and expected given that it's busy. However once we sat down the restaurant should have enough people to serve everyone in the restaurant, this was not the case. They did away with the carts I guess to fit more tables and this resulted in approximately one waiter arriving every 30 minutes, with a random dish special we did not always want. No one told us what to do or picked up the filled out menu until we asked them to, and given that we had hungry kids this was pretty hard to deal with. After a waiter took the menu, without saying a word, we had no news for 30 min until someone else showed up with three dishes, started to show them to us, decided they were from some other table and proceeded to ask several other tables before returning to ours with the thoroughly cold food. In the the end we decided to cut our losses and leave before the rest of the food would maybe show up. Looking at other reviews likely this was a good call. Overall, the food was ok but the terrible service made it a poor experience.
went to the restaurant specifically for dim sum, but the waiter said they weren't serving that day because they were too busy. (???) I was quite disappointed, but still ended up ordering some other dishes. The eggplant and tofu pot turned out to be overly salty and greasy, while the stir-fried garlic shoots were tasty but also very oily. I won't be revisiting this place.
Terrible experience. First of all they only had certain dim sum available at dinner time. Food was sub par compared to other dim sum in the area, xiao long bao was one of the worst I’ve ever had. They did not remove it from our bill and gave us a free dessert to make up for it, which we also did not like ironically. Brought us someone else’s credit card when they brought the check back. Last but certainly not least, they charged us twice on our credit card, for our bill and someone else’s. Trying to dispute the charge with the bank has been difficult because they say the restaurant is not responding to the chargeback.
We used them for our catering for our wedding, and it was the biggest mistake and regret by far. They were the worst vendor we worked with by a long shot. Food and catering is one of the largest if not the largest and most important vendor for a wedding. They were over one hour delayed for the second half of the meals. All dishes for the second half came at once and came close to the end of our wedding and they knew the time our wedding was ending. We were told there was traffic, the restaurant to the venue is less than 15 minutes away. Our guests were left waiting and hungry. We kept asking the catering staff about it and they kept telling us the food was coming but over an hour passed and food was still not here. This caterer completely ruined our wedding night and that is not something you can just redo. The next day we went to speak with them and they did not own up to their mistake and just made excuses, such as now saying it was not due to traffic but it's because they dropped all the Peking duck in the car so drove back to remake it. This was a poor decision on their part, not dropping the duck because that can happen, but they took the rest of the courses with them! That was why our guests were left without food for soooo long. They should've continued serving the remaining dishes but did not. And they lied on the reason to us at our wedding. If they had just told us there was an accident, we could've informed our guests instead of them wondering why there was no food and on top of that we would've told them to bring out the rest of the courses! They also continued to delay serving food because their catering staff called them to tell them we were praying so to stop cooking! This left us dumbfounded because a prayer takes less than 5 minutes and then you eat. Also why would the catering staff make this decision without speaking to our coordinator or us?! This wasn't the entire issue sadly. Our coordinator then stated at the end of the night that they refused to clean and in their contract it states they are responsible for putting away the tables and chairs even if it's not from them and they agreed to this with our venue event coordinator. they also ruined all the table cloths we bought, which we had to buy because they said they provided them, and a month before our wedding they said they didn't have the correct ones! Their staff didn't want to clean so they took our tablecloths and wrapped all the trash so they can take a short cut to throw everything away, therefore ruining all the tablecloths. And after all this, all they could say is sorry we were "a little late", 15 minutes is a little late, even 30 minutes is forgivable, but to not serve food for over an hour when our entire wedding reception is only 3 hours, that is not acceptable. They provide poor service and shouldn't even have a service charge and they deny wrong doing. I am all about supporting small businesses, but not when a business is responsible for the most important day of your life and doesn't see much wrong doing and shrugs it off and continues to defend their staff saying that they did US a favor and provided us a service. Their service was to serve food and they failed to even do that, their one job. One of my guests at ended up going around to each table offering appetizers because everyone was so hungry. This is something the caterer should've at least offered or thought about and to at least let us know whether they should move onto the next courses. They just didn't want to make another trip to deliver the other courses until they remade the duck. You absolutely cannot make that decision without providing us the options. And you cannot lie and say it's traffic and that the food is coming when there was no traffic. All this could've been mitigated had they just told us. We wish we went with another caterer. We will be letting our venue know to never have them cater at that venue since they also can't meet their contract of even cleaning. Be warned and do not use them for catering.
Worst experience. We waited 30 minutes to place our order. They're not interested in people already seated, they're busy seating new customers. Employees intentionally ignore our calls and don't come to us when we make eye contact or raise our hand to place an order. But they brought the bill the fastest...
Ordered the lava buns and they were raw. Talked to the owner who accused of me having bad taste and not knowing what a lava bun was. I showed him that I wasn’t even at the lava and the dough itself was raw and I stretched the dough in his face. Instead of apologizing or offering a replacement he just angrily said he’d take it off our receipt and then snatched the dish off our table. After we were ready to pay, I noticed that we were still being charged for the lava buns that he rudely claimed he took off. I walked up to the counter and before I could even get a word out, he yelled, “I ALREADY TOOK IT OFF!!!” I showed him the dimsum stamp card which had 6 items marked, one of which he himself marked as canceled. Then I showed him the receipt which charged for 6 items. He didn’t believe me and was berating me and yanked the stamp card to “prove me wrong”. He counted to 5 and realized he did actually incorrectly charge. He didn’t bother apologizing and just threw me out a new receipt without the buns on it. I understand bad service, but this was beyond bad. The guy was straight up rude and insulting. Terrible place, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else
Horrible dining experience! Never coming back! We were charged for tea without even ordering it or being informed. Their dim sum sizes (large/medium/small) are a total scam - they deliberately labeled smaller portions as medium and medium as large on the bill! Shockingly, I checked other reviews and found they've been pulling this trick for YEARS. Clearly repeat offenders. Besides, really common taste, small portion. PS: my mom’s first time visiting US, now she’s with terrible impressions of Chinese restaurants here.
