This place was the best burger I had in a long time.. place was clean and had a good atmosphere. I took a date there for our anniversary and we really enjoyed the service. We will be visiting again and recommending R.G.s to others. Also, had a chance to spread the Word of God while we were there and the staff light up over getting lil black plastic braclets with scriptures on them. What an awesome experience.. Six star review..
Holey moley. Best boiga ive had in some time. Got the mushroom swiss to go. Hot plank style fries. Done pink in middle as advertised. Hefty. Sweet bun. Hot. Fresh. Beefy. That patty was 3/4” easy. They even put the lettuce etc on the side. Cause they don’t belong on a mushroom swiss. It needed (personal preference) a smidge of salt n peppa but otherwise perfect. Go home. Smack whoever you live with if they haven’t fed you here. For 15$ dont you dare go anywhere else for a burger.
This is the 100th restaurant/fast food I’ve tried in 2 states ever since I’ve moved to Texas back in 2021, and it’s also the 4th local restaurant that I’ve ranked as a 5/5 (the others being Scotty P’s, The Londoner, & Enzo’s NY Pizza). This place has a unique look to it, very friendly service, and delicious food. The steak fries were cooked very well, and the chicken tenders were very good with the flat breading and fresh white meat. Easily one of the best restaurants in Denton and a fantastic way to reach a new milestone after 4 1/2 years.
Place has stood the test of time. I used to go here all the time when I was a student at UNT. Still the same place! Giant and I mean GIANT burgers. Fries, spicy fried pickles, and the wings were all great. I try to get a new burger every time I go and I’m yet to have one I didn’t like. They also do a monthly burger which is cool. Good spot!

Simply making delicious burgers, and fried sides, with enough options to satisfy novelty, but not over bloated to the point of succumbing to mediocrity. I was passing through Denton and my GF was in the mood for burgers. Everyone on Reddit kept mentioning this place, and I was quite surprised. The location alone raises my eyebrow, as its apart of a dying mall strip that doesnt have much going on for itself. Walking in , I felt like I was transported back into the 80s. The dark interior wit half the wall covered in photos, exposed metal panels, brown leather walls, and black ceilings sucks away any lighting that could linger. The menu itself doesnt look like its been updated in decades, but I decided to still go through with this place. Im glad I did! I went with the spicy all star burger, with the addition of bbq sauce, with onion rings as the side. They made that burger in probably under 10 minutes, which was surprisingly fast for how busy they were. At first bite, its so damn satisfying! Its hearty, juicy, but also not a sloppy mess. Those sweet sourdough buns remind me alot of Fuddruckers, which I was a big fan of. The onion rings were fried to a delightful crisp! My GF's fried pickles were also quite delicious as well in their texture. Alot of the views on the visuals of this place are easily forgivable once I had my meal. Honestly this is better than most burgers Ive had when I was in college. And the crazy part was they opened a few years BEFORE I attended college. To think I passed by it without even thinking about it.
10/10 Experience! RGS has everything—best burgers, best servers, crispy fried onion rings, fried pickles, and fries. Just the best all around! I’ve been here multiple times and they haven’t let me down yet. If you haven’t tried this place, you’re seriously missing out!
Cute place! Very home-y and I enjoyed the decor and the fact that this placelikes to preserve it's history. My burger was also great! Our food was also ready quickly and the servers were great. I definitely recommend for a good burger!
Awesome burgers. Little hole in the wall spot with amazing food and cool challenge. "Conquer the Kong" a 2lb burger and 1lb of steak fries. If you get it all down in 30 mins you get a cool shirt and your photo on the wall. I was totally surprised to see 2 of my pics still up from almost 15 years ago when i conquered the kong. Stop by for a food challenge or just some really great burgers.
What an outstanding burger spot! The burgers are packed with flavor, hitting that 'perfect' mark. Pair that with their delicious sweet potato fries, and you've got a fantastic meal. For about $30 for two, the price feels just right for the quality. I'm already looking forward to my next trip to try the Kingo Kong burger challenge!

I ordered the Brunch Burger ( bacon, egg, and cheese) with fries for $15.99 MY Mother ordered a small burger with onion rings. Two teas ( mine sweet). We were craving good burgers and haven't been there in a long time. 😋 BEST BURGERS! and excellent service!
It is a no frill and quality food place. Such places a becoming hard to locate especially around north TX. The service was good. The seating is comfortable. They have a good layout catering to patron size. The quantity to cost ratio is correct. The quality is also very good. The burger bun is unique. Fries are tasty. I would be very surprised if you don’t visit again and try all their menu. It is a staple burger joint. We will visit again.
Today, I tried RG Burgers and Grill for lunch. The garbage plate caught my attention. Gilbert, my server explained the plate to me. My hamburger steak was juicy and perfectly seasoned, and the fries were fresh and not greasy. The chili was the best I've had in Denton and was so flavorful. The surprise was the macaroni salad, which was al dente, not mushy and had the perfect amount of condiments mixed in. I had a perfect dining experience with excellent food and service!
This was a pleasant surprise. While traveling through town, we wanted a burger, and we wanted a place that we were not used to, so we found this on Google. When we drove up, the outside made the place appear like a tiny spot, but when we went inside, the place had a ton of room, as well as unique wall hangers to go around reading. Also, the most important thing - the burgers we ordered were fantastic. We went at an off hour, so I was not expecting great, but I was pleasantly surprised as everything turned out amazing. The fried pickles were also great. Happy we stopped by and will definitely try to stop again whenever we are near.
These burgers are fantastic and huge! The meat has a good flavor. I overheard an employee tell someone that all the burgers are offered in a kids size. Prolly need to do that next time. Yummy!!
Great surprise to this mom and pop home in the wall style location! We were in the area and craving a good burger. We spotted this location and gave it a go. Immediately after walking in and seeing the pictures on the wall I knew we mad a good choice, you could smell the burgers being cooked and feel the laid back atmosphere. The service was not rushed and pushy, and the menus wasn't over crowded with hundred of selections. There was something for all four Us. Food was well worth the price and will definitely be coming back. Worth the visit and the price y'all!

Ordered Smokey Joe Classic and Garbage Plate. Burger was good size, patty was thick. Chili fries were good. Garbage plate was also good. The side of macaroni was pretty good also. Good prices for what you get.
I heard about RG Burger from a Reddit thread listing the best burger joints in Denton. I am happy to report that the Burger is, in fact, delicious. I ordered the RG spicy all star burger. It could have used more Chipotle mayo, but the juiciness of all of the other ingredients made up for it. The sweet potato fries could have used a little more salt but overall, probably one of the best burgers I’ve ever purchased. The service was fine. The server took a while to get to hour table and they felt a little rushed despite the place being relatively empty. Atmosphere though, bland. The establishment is very dark and moody, and doesn’t match the vibe of a fun burger spot. Overall rating 4/5
Great burger place in Denton off of I-35E. Had the portobello mushroom burger. Very flavorful! Service was great & received our burger within probably 5 minutes. Pricy - but what isn’t. Definitely recommend this place. Btw. Me & the wife shared & we still had leftovers.

The restaurant was nice. It was clean. Our waiter was real nice. The chairs need to be tightened. They’re wobbly. The iced tea was excellent. Onion rings were ok. Fries were good. I have been eating these delicious burgers since they opened probably 20 years. Unfortunately the owners sold the business to an absentee new owner. The burgers are still awesome but service is horrible. The staff along with the manager sit behind the counter laughing and telling inappropriate stories very loudly. Took forever for them to sit me as well as come to my table. It wasn’t busy they just sat up there and socialized. Recipe for disaster let the college staff run a business.
