If you want to go dine at a place that is a little bit off the beaten path and a bit of a unique place out in the middle of nowhere, this is it! I had breakfast here several times and it great. If you like little hole in the wall places that have a character and personality that you won't find at any chains or in City eateries, this is a place to go. Great start if you're going to take a trip on on the sunrise highway or if you're just in area. Check out their venue around the back where there is outdoor seating with a stage and music on Friday and Saturday nights. They offer food and a variety of different bands that play. It's great event for entire families , including kids. Another unique experience!

We came after a hike at three sisters fall. The service was great, the burgers were so big and delicious. We also had pie and it was amazing. Great place, would definitely repeat.

Tucked away in this little town - Descanso - east county San Diego CA, is this gem of a restaurant, bar, home-away-from-home for the locals. Decor is very western old Town vibe, A satisfying lunch of a House Signature Clubhouse Sandwich which was a plentiful serving arrived in front of us within minutes of ordering. Lunch was a busy time and pretty popular as guests were lining up to be seated and we lucked out and got a couple of seats at the bar. A very friendly gentleman moved his bar chair a bit to offer us more room, and his hospitality reflected with how the staff was like his family. A great homey feeling for us new patrons. We shall definitely make this a regular lunch or dinner stop in this side of town.

Wow. The Jack Daniels steak burger is the juiciest, tastiest burger I've had in a while. I stopped in here after 4 hours of hiking nearby Cuyamaca peak. (The camp host had highly recommended Descanso Junction.) I was hungry. Good thing. The beer was cold and refreshing. The meatball soup good, but the burger (and onion rings) absolutely outstanding. Delicious. And big portions. Also, the service was top notch. All the employees were really nice and friendly, and quick. I recommend Descanso Junction.

Amazing hidden gem! The food was amazing! The service was extraordinary. We had the mushroom burger and the Jack Daniels one and it was so juicy and full of flavor just thinking about it I wish I could order one now 😅 the place was super cool and the vibe was amazing.

I would pass thousand times by this place and never stop to eat , but always wanted. So this time I was driving up to Julian when I decided to stop and have lunch. I can just say good decision. We have had hamburgers and its delicious . Meat just cooked right. Onion rings amazing and fries good. Service could be better though. Overall good place and definitely coming back

Nice place for a bite after hiking in the surrounding area. They serve lunch all day, have vegetarian options available:Veggie stir fry, stuffed mushrooms and you can substitute veggie patties on their burger choices as well. They serve local craft beer as well as wine. They have a large outdoor area for private events and they have a beer festival around summertime.

The staff is excellent and the food is okay. Stop here if it's on your route but don't go out of your way for it. It's very standard diner serving classic Americana.

The attention was great! From the moment we entered through the door we felt welcome, the service was pleasant, but when we saw the photos of the menu we did not imagine more delicious and quality food, unfortunately, that was not the case. One of the most important things is food and they really do work on that. They would have 5 stars for sure.
