Amazing food and even better service! The veal is some of the thinnest and best I have ever had. I can see why this restaurant has such a high Google rating.

I took my wife there for her birthday it was the best experience ever. The food was absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere so calm and inviting. I couldn't ask for more and our server wow, Jorge is the best. I will definitely go back for our first year wedding anniversary.

This is hands down the best restaurant I have been to in the area. It's a total experience including food service and atmosphere that are all exceptional. It's definitely ba special occasion place as it is fairly expensive but you get what you pay for.

My first experience here, came as a guest for a business meeting for dinner. I am very impressed. The food was phenomenal, service impeccable. Caesar salad made table side was excellent. My scallops main dish was perfectly cooked. Jorge was our server and he was absolutely great. I have gluten sensitivity and he helped guide me with the menu. I strongly recommend for special occasions or anytime a fine dining experience is desired. The dessert was great! Their cannoli is gluten free and was delicious!! The special creme brule we also tried was very good as well.

Great service, from the receptionist, the waiters and other staff; all were very friendly and helpful. Delicious and authentic Italian food. The braised veal on bone with bone marrow, the filet mignon, the guitar string pasta and the seafood player (forgot the official Italian name) were all super tasty. Appetizers are also good and reasonably sized, not overwhelming. We brought our own wine for a reasonable $50 corkage fee. But the wine list here was impressive, with all the finest wines money can buy.

Classic Italian neighborhood spot off Rt 10. Finally tried for the first time recently, having driven by many times. Worth it! Crowded with locals; everyone seemed to be regulars. Lots of families. Several private dining areas. Definitely make a reservation. It was packed on a Thursday evening; by 7pm all tables were filled. Not a casual place, upscale all the way so wear something nice. Valet parking. Nice wine list - found a lovely Tuscan wine not too $$. We did not order the caesar salad but saw the waiter preparing it for another table and noted this would probably be very good. Not the greatest ever Italian food but excellent, high quality and fresh. In all, we really enjoyed our meal and would return!

Salvatore recently hosted a 75th birthday party for me and my family. The service and food were outstanding. The wait staff were the finest, they made all of our party guests feel comfortable. They took the time to personally attend to everyone on an individual basis. If you’re looking for a truly great dining experience this is the place for you. We had 50+ guests and they all raved about the food and the service. Truly great Italian cuisine restaurant!!

Came here on Saturday to celebrate my wife's birthday. The entire experience from the moment we walked in to leaving the place was outstanding. You don't see this a lot these days. This is a higher end of the scale restaurant. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with a Vatican type charm. Rich deep colors, embroidered napkins, accents of gold and even a private dining area with cathedral painting ceiling and chandelier. It definitely a mature crowd venue. The service is top notch. So attentive to every detail to make the experience unique and feel expensive. The food is presented beautifully but most importantly it’s delicious! Pasta are all home made, the gravy/sauce are unique to each dish. Our party ordered a variety of dishes so it’s too many to list but they we’re all superb. If you want a fine dining experience this is a must go place at least once.

If you are looking for a great upscale fine dining experience, then this is the place to go to. The menu has a nice variety of food and the wine menu has more than enough options to choose from. The food was was so delicious and it was a melt in your mouth experience because everything was cooked to perfection. The service is impeccable and the employees are always attentive. When my husband picked up the wine bottle to refill our glasses, the waiter came right over and said, "I'll do that for you sir." The ambiance is very nice too. There are painted pictures on the ceiling and beautifully etched thick glass doors in the bathroom. Everything is designed to make you feel like you are in Italy. It really was well worth the money. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Was there on New Years Eve with my family and we had an amazing experience. From the second I pulled up the valet was very patient and helpful with my grandmother as well as our amazing waiter who was attentive throughout the night. 10/10 for overall service! The food was exceptional as well and made the experience one I will not forget and will surely be coming back!

Outstanding in every way. The ambiance is straight out of Italy. It feels like you are dining in Venice, Rome, or Postiano. Absolutely stunning. The servers are out of this world. When I arrived with my 4 year old daughter, I realized this restaurant may be a little more formal than we expected and not a place that served many kids. However, our experience was wonderful, and I can’t wait to go back. The staff treated my daughter so nicely & made her feel welcome, the food was delicious, they had a nice wine list, and a lot of care went into every detail. This is how a restaurant should be. Everything we ordered was tasty & well prepared, we had a nice swordfish appetizer and whole branzino that was filleted table side. I am looking forward to going back & trying more of their menu items.

This is a perfect place to go for a fancy business lunch or any type of celebration. The service was phenomenal, and the food was great as well. The portions were just enough not to be over full. The lemon sole dish was delicious. It is a big restaurant with plenty of space for each table, so you don't feel like you're stacked on top of each other. I would definitely visit again! They also have a large parking lot right off of Route 10 that easy to get to. 💯

Amazing experience. Excellent drinks, great service, and the food is out of this world. The seafood salad and the octopus were amazing. The lobster tagliatelle was memorable, with rich chunks. The tiramisu was probably the best I've ever had.

This is a wonderful place if you wish to celebrate a very special occasion like a birthday or anniversary in a formal and intimate setting. It’s beautifully decorated with hand painted ceilings and plenty of gorgeous artwork to look at on the walls. Not only is the restaurant itself lovely but the food was also. I had delicious scallops with mushrooms and the best butternut squash I ever had, it was cooked & seasoned to perfection and presented elegantly. My boyfriend also enjoyed his lobster and clam dish. His mint mocktail was also very tasty. For dessert we had the lemon sorbet and pistachio gelato. Truly everything was fabulous, the atmosphere, the food, the host, the waiters, the valet attendant. I highly recommend this place for your formal celebration, you won’t regret. Worth every penny. I’m looking forward to coming back for my birthday dinner next time.

Visited here for a client lunch and we had a great experience! For me, the Seafood salad was fresh and flavorful and the Sea Bass Special was delicious. Also, probably the best Tiramisu I've had in a long time (great coffee flavors, super moist but still holding shape) Service was excellent. The only downside for me was that the portion is on the much smaller end for the high price. Would still return and recommend checking it out! Highly recommend calling in to make a reservation.

I loved this restaurant, so I would definitely be back again. The place is elegant with the flowers and painted ceilings, the staff are professional and polite and the food is delicious. Note that this restaurant has a dress code: shorts, t shirts, etc. are not allowed. We were automatically given butter peeled in the shape of a rose (loved that), bread and a bowl with chopped onion, celery, and peppers in a vinegarette which went nicely on the bread. We shared the meatballs as an appetizer, for an entree I got the Pici Toscani Cacio e Pepe. This was very balanced between the cheese and the butter, it was delicious and light. My bf got the Gamberi Selvatici Aglio Olio e Limone (shrimp and risotto) and he said it was delicious. I had the Limoncello Spritz and I really enjoyed it. I went for my 30th birthday and it was such a classy dinner. I highly recommend!

The word "delicious" would be an unjust description of the flavorful scrumptiousness I consumed at Capriccio Ristorante this afternoon. We (3 adults) started off with the meatballs to share... it's worth getting two orders to share instead of one. Let's just say the explosion of great flavors that blessed my taste buds peeked my greediness, and I nearly wanted to eat them all by myself :) I ordered the shrimp scampi over linguini and couldn't be more pleased with the appetizing presentation; the fragrance and superb taste of the tender shrimps. I mean... take a look at the pictures, people. Reluctantly, I set aside half this meal for my husband to try later tonight. From the extra large bouquet of flowers in the center of the dining area to the frescos covering the ceiling and getting the opportunity to compliment Tony, the owner/chef ... you really need to come experience this deliciousness for yourself.

My wife and I had dinner here with her aunt and uncle, who dine here almost regularly. While I can be found more often in a more simple venue for good Italian food, Il Capriccio is a blend of elegance and decadence. The service is top notch, the atmosphere leans formal but upbeat, and the food is excellent. I enjoyed the day boat scallops with a butternut squash sauce and chickpea farinaccio (pancake). It deserves a "yum". The other dishes received compliments as well. We were not rushed in the least. After dinner chef Anthony stopped by and told the story of the art work on the ceiling and walls (too long to tell here). An enjoyable dining experience.

These was one of the very few fancy restaurant experiences I had so bear with me if my review is scratchy. The place has a whole vibe to it. There's a gentlemen playing good music with his piano, there's a bar top, several round tables to have ample conversations, and a secret private room if one wants to be more private and be isolated from the noise. I am blown away (in a nice way) with all these different arrangements. We took the private room, the walls surrounding it were all filled with wine bottles. It was nice for a large party like us to have good conversations. The staff were good, very well trained. The food was better, had there brisket steak, and it was one of the best I had, granted I had only few experiences earlier. Nevertheless it was very tasty. The scallion entree was also pretty good. Desserts seemed lovely, the crisp apple tart and cheese cake were pretty good. The ambience, staff and food were all good. But all of this comes with a price. If you feel 40 dollar entrees and 15 dollar desserts are worth the better ambience and on par food like the other restaurants out there, then you'll be satisfied. Will I come back, maybe not. If my company's paying for it, then why not.

Wow - just terrific. Went last night to celebrate my wife's birthday and everything was wonderful. The atmosphere and music is intimate, the service was on point, and everything we ate was delicious and fantastic. It was difficult not to order all the nightly specials as they all sounded better than the last one. We also had our wedding reception here back in 2013, and it's just as good now as it was then. Not an inexpensive meal but worth every dollar. We left full and happy and cant wait to go back.

The restaurant is good for what it is. It is stuffy and great for business lunches. Its not for everyone (not in a social class way, but ambiance and food). Nothing is bad, but I have not had anything that was WOW! Overpriced? No, because the prices is part of what makes people feel special eating there. Expensive, yes. Again, not everyones cup of tea. 4 stars for great service, good food overall, and staffs knowledge of wine and food served. Not 5 because i wasn't blown away.

I'm not going to go so far as to say, "Oh, how the mighty has fallen," but this place is a north Jersey institution. Simply put, at these prices, they're just not cutting it. The pasta was delicious, but the portion was quite small. The same was true of the appetizers and desserts. Additionally, the chocolate layer cake was small and starting to dry out. The cheesecake was tiny, and I've had better at the diner. Finally, my water glass was empty for the last 15 minutes of my meal, and the server seems to have just given up at that point. We had to flag him down to get the check. Again, way too expensive and way too beautiful a restaurant to accept these things.

Old school and elegant Italian place. Live, low-key piano music, lots of specials and a standout, off the menu table side Caesar salad. A fun, tasty throwback!

I hate to leave a subpar review, but for how expensive it is, I’m pretty disappointed. To be fair, this review is for take out, not dine in. First off, I ordered a NY strip steak, which I did not expect to be spectacular, but it was not worth the $60 price tag. It came out medium when I ordered it medium rare. It was under seasoned and plain, but because it was take out, it was acceptable. The spinach that came with the steak tasted like it was dunked and deep fried in oil. I couldn’t even eat it because it was soaked in oil and was not edible. The tagliatelle tasted solid, but the portion was tiny! I was embarrassed at the amount because it was for my bf and there was barely any mushroom or pasta in it. I can’t speak for the dine in experience, but the sopping oily spinach turned me off and would not order take out from them again.

A quarter of burrata??? 😂 This was a really funny experience. My friend and I order two appetizers and two entrees for lunch. One of the appetizers was the burrata salad. When the apps arrived, we were quite shocked to see a QUATER of the burrata sitting on top of a small salad. Never have I experienced this kind of serving of this delicate cheese. It almost seemed like they brought it from another table. Overall, not the best Italian meal and restaurant :(

Food was amazing!!! Drinks were great! But service could have been better. When the entrées came, the bread plates weren't cleared, and waters weren't getting refilled. My water was absolutely empty and I signaled the waiter and he sent the busser. He proceeded to fill the waters and from then on he was staying on top of our table. Also the desserts are not worth $15 each. Ordered the tiramisu and the chocolate molten cake. Both desserts are extremely small, and the taste isn't all that different from something you could get at Wegmans for twice the size and same price. Two entrées that I highly recommend though is the Scrigno di Mare and the Costoletta di Maiale Iberico (photo).

The restaurant has remodeled the bar a bit and put in a nice wine dining room. The food had gone down a touch from before, fish generally okay, but the presentation of the beet salad was a mess and the pasta with langoustines had shell fragments and the pasta wasn't linguine but a spaghetti. Stopped in again recently for lunch and it was much better. The meatballs and pasta we separated for appetizers, they plated for us which was really nice. Spicy vegetables and bread at the start were pretty good and the short rib was delicate and not too fatty. Definitely try the cannolis, they don't travel well but they are excellent. Cacio di pepe was ok - noodle was thick and hard to pick up but buttery-peppery rich. Not as much cheese flavor.

Service was great. Atmosphere great. For the price, I thought the food was ok honestly. I was very surprised though that when they give out bread and butter for the table, the bread is cold. I have no idea why nice restaurants like this would ever put cold bread on the table. I am just curious, when the owner goes to a nice restaurant with his family and he sits at a table, does he want his bread served cold, or would he prefer it to be warmed up so the butter can spread?! Do not feel bad though, many restaurants do this and this is not the correct way to start a dinner at a upscale restaurant. Warm the bread up. It literally takes 2 minutes.

A party of 6 dined for my daughter’s 25th birthday. I wasn’t impressed with the food at all. The portions were very small. I was in the mood for fish, so the waiter recommended Chilean sea bass, but it had no flavor and the portion was tiny. The chicken parmigiana was firm and not tender. Overall, the food was below average. Plus, I was charged $20 for the cake I brought, which they never mentioned when I made the birthday reservation. Anything, to jack up the bill. Extremely annoying! Overall, it was a very disappointing experience. I won’t be going back.

Filet was tough chewy and gamey, absolutely terrible for $62. Not worth 62cents. Mushroom soup had zero flavor Shrimp dish was tasty Service was excellent

2nd time there. Our first experience was very good, this time not so much. Atmosphere, excellent.... Service, excellent... Food, unfortunately just ok at best... App was a shrimp and calamari, the calamari was pretty tough and very chewy. Meat ball, excellent. Very good flavor and seasoning was perfect I had the veal parmigiana. Breading had absolutely no flavor, veal was tough to cut through, definitely should not be. Also, barely any cheese on top. Oh, no sauce at all. And yes, I get it some don't do sauce, just pointing that out. If you're doing parmigiana, put some cheese on it, not just a little. My wife had a pasta dish. She found it blan, lacked taste, pasta was ok at best. She was disappointed in her dish. Dessert was teramisu and that was decent. For a mediocre dinner it was way over priced. We have no problem spending money on good food, but when the food is mediocre, then I have problems spending money. Won't be returning.

Everything except the food is good. The people working are very friendly, amazing interior, however the food tasted bland and not fresh. I could tell the spaghetti was from a box mane barilla and to charge 34$ is overpriced and flavorless.

I had a private event here and I don't recommend anyone doing that because the speakers in the private room were busted. It felt like a funeral more than a party and we kept asking them to turn up the music because we literally couldn't hear the music at all (dead silent) and they lied and said it was on, although we couldn't hear it all and then when we would hear it at times, they said they had to turn it back down because it was “too loud” in the main dining room - when it was barely audible for us. Staff was rude and totally didn't accommodate our needs despite us providing them good business. Absolutely disappointed with the entire experience - do not recommend doing a private event at this venue ever!!!! The man helping with parking was also very rude to multiple guests and we had a few people in our party complain to us - not acceptable….

Tried this place for my Birthday dinner last night, my wife made the reservation. First and last time, service was AWFUL, still have no idea who the waiter was, older man with a mole on the left side of his face i think was the waiter. Beyond rude not welcoming at all and ignored us after taking our order. Food was nothing special. Drinks were fine. Never will go back felt completely unwelcome . Terrible service! Not worth it at all. Save yourself the trouble much better place nearby.
