Opinions de The Brick Oven Pizza Dobbs Ferry
4/17/2025 12:31. I used to work in Dobbs ferry and this particular pizzeria has changed names a couple of times. I think the new ownership is definitely working well. I had two slices of salad pizza which were made on the spot. They were not pre-done. We also had two slices of Sicilian, which were nice and fluffy and the right amount of sauce and cheese. Pricing was competitive to other pizzerias and parking on the street was available - with a handicap spot directly in front of the pizzeria. The parking app for Dobbs ferry is Park Mobile- just keep that in mind if you’re not using change in the meter.

When my grandmother was alive and living in this town, she would always walk me up the hill to take me here. It was our go-to spot and as I grew up I started walking by myself, or with my cousins who would visit to go here. I haven't been here much since she left, but I still will stop by on occasion when I am in the neighborhood. Same owners, same great food. Can't go wrong. They have an ice cream and an Italian Ices section as well to satiate your sweet tooth.
Great slices, the "Jamaican" patties with cheese were different than traditional but seasoned well. I didn't see workers using gloves which made me leery to return
Great food ,service and atmosphere, parking a little testy but well worth it !!!
So I love this place because the food is good. The atmosphere is good and the customer service is good but I do think it's a bit pricey. Me and my husband dying there a few nights ago and I had a slice of pizza. He had an order of zepolies and we each had one drink. Well technically my husband has 2 drinks and our bill was 69 dollars not including a tip. The bar area is absolutely beautiful but it does have Quite a bit of flies. I think that they should offer. Drink special night on a few nights and also happy hour. Hope this review Does not offend the owner, but it's true.
I love this place! Always a great lunch spot whether you need to grab food and go or are just looking for a place to relax and spend time with your friends. The service is much faster than other restaurants and the food is incredible!! Definitely would recommend to everyone and they have gluten free options as well! While the cleanliness could be a tad bit better, the people who work there really try their best:)
The food here is absolutely delicious! The owner Frank has added a sophisticated wine bar which also serves small plates. It is elegant and done in beautiful taste. The fennel salad and string beans are fantastic! The wine bar tables are separate from the pizza side to enjoy a glass or bottle of wine and great food. I am gluten free and he has plenty of choices for me. And no cross contamination. He takes it seriously. I had the white gluten free pizza...it was amazing. The best I ever had. My husband has one of Frank's signature dishes, Angry Chicken..he can't get enough of it. This restaurant is clean and welcoming and so much more than great pizza!
Best pizza in the river towns!
Just started going to this place after visiting Frank's wine bar and sampling some appetizers. The food in the Pizzeria is excellent. Chicken parm hero best in the area. Margherita pizza was rustic and on point. I told the guys to give me "well done" pizzas and the guys defintiely listened. Golden Brown Pizza to perfection (i hate doughy pizza or one that is burned beyond recognition). Takes me back to the type of delicious pizza I used to get back in the Bronx. Great job guys. I will be back to try other things off the menu.👍
You and your team really came through for us today. Great service, excellent food, and an awesome atmosphere. 32 years in business, and it keeps getting better . Thank you, Frank……

Excellent pizza as always. I used to eat here when I was in DFHS and now my kids love it. Ordered a Caesar salad that was a bit heavy handed on the dressing. One call and the salad was replaced within 15m, no fuss. Will continue to order because their pizza really is the best around.

Would rage this place higher if they didn't have a sign by the cash register that said minimum $15 purchase on all credit orders. Please eliminate this so I can enjoy your pizza. Also, not a fan of your margherita slice. It's like someone just diced tomatoes and threw them on top of a plain slice.
Great place to eat some pizza 🍕 the thing is that it is too expensive for a slice or just anything. I mean this is a very high tax paying area, but still too expensive. It tastes like normal good pizza though, so it’s okay
Their pizza isn't half bad, and they have several kinds of gourmet slices available anytime, and they have a full ice cream/gelato/sorbet bar as well. I wish the service was more attentive and enthusiastic about their jobs, but they got my food right. For a quick bite I'd hit this place over any other in town
A pleasant spot to have a casual pizza for 1-4. While not a certified gluten free place, they do offer a thin crust gluten free personal pizza option that you can top to your liking.

Good Pizza, nice selection of specialty pizza and their slices are h-u-g-e!! I had the plum tomato and my wife had a lasagna slice. I prefer a more robust sauce flavor which to me, theirs felt a little flat, so a star deducted for that. Inviting dining area and extra seating in the next room. There's a full ice-cream shop in the connected dining room as well, so it's a one-stop-shop for those looking for a meal & desert.

I want to know what happened here. Brick Oven was THE BEST pizza in the 1990s. Slices were massive and had a unique taste to them like no other pizza place. Why did they change the ingredients? Somewhere along the line the pizza drastically changed. I’m not saying it’s bad now, but it’s not nearly what it once was. Why Brick Oven!? Why!!??

Terribly dirty practices. The cook is on his phone then proceeds to make pizza without gloves. The other guy scratches his nose, hands on the counter and in his pant pockets, then takes the pizza and puts it into the oven, also without gloves. The kid at the cash register touches money then hands the fork to me by holding the front of it rather than the handle. Pizza slices are big and the place LOOKS clean, but clearly looks can be deceiving. Only reason for not a 1 star is the cashier kid was genuinely polite and trying his best.

After being very specific about what I wanted whoever answered the phone was extremely rude! He talked over me, he yelled at me, he insisted that I had not said what I know I had said very very clearly. He was argumentative and disrespectful. I only regret I did not get his name. I have frequented this establishment for 15 years as I live in Dobbs Ferry but I will no longer given how horrible the customer service is The food is mediocre at best but hey it's just pizza. However I will not stand for the disrespect that I had to deal with.
Good service from what i experienced, the setup was cute however the pizzas were definitely not what expected. Nothing about the chicken bacon ranch slice had flavor. The chicken tasted as if it was dipped in water before topping on pizza, no hint of salt. The only thing that HAD flavor was the bacon. Even the pepperoni slice itself tasted as if it was watered down. It’s giving no flavor, no love.
If you have a dietary restriction do not order from here. Due to a medical condition I cannot eat cheese, we specified on the Doordash order no cheese. The pizza came with cheese and Doordash will only refund $5 for a $18 pizza that I cannot eat. This is the second time this happened. We decided to give them another chance and it was a mistake.
