Passing by, I stopped at this trattoria and had a fried appetizer and some fresh bigoli, made in-house, with Mantuan ragù: sausage and braised beef. The appetizer was delicious, the bigoli excellent, cooked to perfection, and the ragù was exquisite. The atmosphere was typical of a trattoria, the service impeccable. The owners were very kind. I highly recommend it. I'll definitely be back.

A rustic and charming place, with very friendly staff and truly delicious dishes...we had bigoli with sardines and with sausage and cooked shoulder, all very good, well-prepared and with generous portions. Prices are reasonable. We'll definitely be back to try the other dishes.

Trattoria Massari is a stopover for the taste of traditional Mantuan cuisine based on freshwater fish and seafood. We returned after a long time to rediscover those dishes you don't often find. Freshwater fish has always been their forte, and their pumpkin tortelli are a must-try. This time I chose the tortelli filled with guinea fowl...delicately exquisite. The filling melts in your mouth. And the pike with its exquisite sauce. The desserts are also excellent. The owners offer a warm welcome, and it was a pleasure to chat about the food. A wonderful confirmation, even after so long.

A lovely place, famous especially for its river cuisine and excellent Roman pinsa. The appetizer of cured meats and torta fritta were delicious. The first courses were excellent; I had the special of the day, handmade potato tortelli with crispy pancetta, and my partner had spaghetti alla mantovana. For dessert...I had cantucci with Vino Santo, and she had a cheesecake that honestly tasted like it was frozen. It's a shame because it looked lovely 🤷

Last night my husband and I dined at this trattoria. We had a mixed fried fish appetizer, bigoli with clams, and fried river fish, and a delicious berry tart. Everything was delicious, and the service was quick.

The pinza alla contadina is delicious, the pumpkin tortelli are superb, and the sturgeon carpaccio is highly recommended. A stop in Dosolo is a must, as is the fried river fish and frogs. The zuccotto di Lorena is excellent.

If you want to enjoy a delicious pinsa, this is the place for you. I think the decor is extravagant but dated, and it could use a facelift. The dining rooms and bathrooms are clean, and the staff is attentive, and luckily, the chef is fantastic.

I went for a business lunch with a colleague. The menu was good and enjoyable, but the experience was negative due to the owner's behavior. I'll mention two incidents that stuck with me: 1. My colleague didn't finish his dessert, and the owner had the absurd idea of ​​forcing me to eat the rest. He even found a piece of plastic on my plate; 2. I asked for a macchiato and was told an unprofessional "also????". In the end, I was served a regular coffee accompanied by a container of coffee cream, which has nothing to do with a macchiato. It's a shame, but I definitely won't be returning. Courtesy and politeness make the difference.
