We just ran across this place today 7.9.21 while heading to San Antonio (visiting from Florida) and oh my goodness!! So delicious! Even though there were a few people ordering and waiting for food service was quick. Food was fresh and very tasty!

Great family owned place. Really delicious tacos, bacon, potatoes. Orders come out piping hot. Might have to wait a little on a busy weekend but they are fast.

Big portions for tacos 🌮. My Ranchero was my favorite. Flavor was good, too bad they didn't have indoor seating, but since it was before 11am, it was not too bad.

Excellent hole in the wall place. Food was reasonable price and delicious! We had the chicken melt with a side of piattoes, huevos rancheros, and the brisket burrito. It was all delicious and hit the spot! Can't wait to come here again next time we are in the area.

I've pretty much been living off of Flores' 2 combos on corn for over 7 years now. On days when I have time to stop and get tacos, I do so. I like to say that the combo has all parts of the food triangle (eggs, cheese, bacon, potato, bean) which is just what I need to carry me throughout the day. Also the perfect serving size. These tacos help me get up in the morning and something I am always looking forward to. Consistently delicious and always brightens my day. The people who work here are kind and friendly. I am very grateful for this business because it is always quick, tasty, and affordable. I love the location because it is on the way to the high school which was always convenient when I was in need of a bite before classes. I continued to come to Flores throughout university years and have remained a huge fan ever since that first taco. They have amazing homemade flour tortillas, and a great accommodation of corn or egg whites for gluten free consumers like myself. I wish I could give them 10 stars. Please take the time to visit Flores Breakfast and Lunch. You'll be glad you did!!!

I live in Dallas but any time I come to Austin, this is a must! My aunt introduced me to this place and their tacos are sooooo yummy! They are the perfect size- big, full, and oh so good! If you want good breakfast tacos and food for a good price, come here!

Best tacos around! Highly recommend their picadillo tacos and their bacon and egg tacos. The bacon is always crispy. Absolutely love their red and green salsas.

The food was delicious! They had some picnic tables but they were kind of dirty. It was windy and there was no wind brake so we ate in the car.

Really good food - all outside, if it's chilly - you can either get a plate with your choice of stuff on it and a side of tortillas to make your own tacos, essentially, or order made tacos. I had two and that was pretty filling, a third would have put me over the edge, I think. But two left me enough room to get coffee down the street and hit the road.

This place has THE BEST tacos. Everyone I work with is seemingly addicted, and we all go at least once a week. I personally love their bacon and their chorizo, and the carne guisada is to die for. The combos are a perfect blend of ingredients. Additionally, I regularly hear people being addressed by their names when they go to order. I have no idea how the owner remembers so many people. I recommend calling ahead as they get a ton of customers, but even if you don’t, the food is worth the wait. Also worth noting, these are not street tacos, so expect them to be loaded like little burritos.

I grew up on south Texas breakfast tacos and have tried tacos all over San Antonio and ATX. These are some of the best tacos I’ve ever had.

Some of the best breakfast tacos you can get anywhere in central Texas. A complete hole in the wall and I wouldn't have it any other way. As everyone else has stated prepare for a possible long wait but it's worth it and there is a reason it has such a long wait and so many people going, it's the best in Austin.

My first time here. I didn't know what to expect. Delicious breakfast tacos and the hot sauce is actually a little spicy. I say this about the salsa 'cause too many places don't have heat in their hot sauce. Definitely worth many repeat visits.

Food really is excellent if you want good Tex Mex. My only complaint is that they are only open for breakfast and lunch and is more of a food truck location. We are in desperate need of a really good Mexican Food Restaurant in the Dripping Springs area. But you can't beat this place for fresh delicious Mexican food. (Please note - This is a different family than the other full service restaurant with the same name of Flores.)

I go after school all the time. There breakfast tacos are the best breakfast tacos I have ever had. They are fresh and hot and with a little roja and tomatillo salsa it makes it magical. I would eat them all day everyday if I could.

Always a great spot to grab some tacos. Been coming here since highschool and the food has been great. Check the hours before going! You can sit and eat your tacos on the covered patio there or take your tacos on the go. You can even call ahead to order so that you don't have to wait. Before school can be a bit busy but it's worth the wait.

1 of the best hole in the wall taco joints in southTexas. Been supporting them for years and never had a bad taco ever. My fav thing about their breakfast tacos = they don't give you a strip of bacon, but instead the bacon is real bacon diced and spread throughout. It makes such a difference in flavor! I had fantastic breakfast tacos here and I will go back soon to try other menu items. Another customer told me the barbacoa was great so I'll have to try it for myself. My food was fresh and hot and the prices were great compared to most restaurants. There isn't a dining room but there is ample outdoor seating in the shade. It was very humid when I was there so my car made a great air conditioned diner. Bon appétit!

The brisket was very tender but the second taco I got was a Barbacoa. It was very greasy and I was disappointed that neither one had flavor. The hot sauce was on point though! I had to add a lot. It’s been hit or miss. You hear people say it’s incredible and makes me wonder if they even have tastebuds. The eggs tasted old and cooked to grey color, no flavor on the eggs and meat. The staff rushed everyone in line and was rude. I was asked which salsa I wanted and I said spicy red, an option given. She looked at me with attitude and threw everything in a bag and ushered me away. No one behind me was even ready to order. The tortillas were soggy and gooey even minutes within ordering. The salsa has no flavor. Just spice. To make a good salsa, you need both flavor or at least flavor and spice. This all just came down to something filling the stomach. There’s no seasoning in their tacos so I’m unsure what people are actually tasting to make them give a good review. However, they’re maybe a point above El Rey who told me they don’t clean their table cloths but once a week and their restaurant smelled of sewage so there’s that. For better tacos, our Texaco at 12 and Hamilton Pool is tons better and the large breakfast tacos at Le Muse knock it out of the park. You can get coffee or lattes specific to how you prefer them at any cafe but better plus delicious tacos. Two birds, one stone.

First time and last time. They gave our order to someone else. Ok it happens but don't make us wait 40min and we see several others get there orders after us. Take priority for mistakes. Then we finally get our order and it wasn't even right. They have no clue what they're doing. My opinion for my experience there.

This was my second time coming to the restaurant first time I ordered the beef fajita quesadilla, it came with yellow cheese it was very soggy and nasty, the next time I ordered the same thing but I specifically have asked if they had another type of cheese they could put to the quesadilla they said yes so I went ahead and got the same thing, they messed up my ordered they gave me the same cheese I did NOT WANT/ ASKED FOR the meat was soggy and wet worse quesadilla I have ever tasted, and now I may have over reacted but imagine saving your appetite to come eat at a place like this after you have asked if they could substitute the yellow cheese for white mozzarella cheese yes I’m Mexican I know what a quesadilla should taste like/ look like.

Just plain no flavor! And I noticed they don’t wear gloves when handling food. Gross! Other better places for breakfast tacos!

As soon as we walked up I knew I should have gone somewhere else as the little girl who was taking our order acted annoyed that she was having to do so. I ordered 7 beef FAJITA tacos, 1 beef FAJITA plate with flour tortillas and 2 beef FAJITA chalupas as shown on the picture of the bag. I waited 30 minutes for my order and when we got down the road we opened it up and discovered it was all Carne Guisada(tasted like a crockpot roast). Also, didn't get my flour tortillas. Didn't have time to go back so we called and were accused of trying to get a free meal. Finally admitted it was all Carne Guisada and he did agree to refund the two plates, but we'll see if I ever get it. Call it what it is or take the FAJITA off the menu, please. UPDATE: I was refunded only $9.50 on a $63 order that was wrong.
