Woody’s Tavern and Grill is a locally owned tavern (and sports bar) in the “Shops” at the Galleria Mall. Three of us went for dinner this evening. We found the place to be very lively ( and noisy). It was fairly crowded. The service was prompt, friendly and the food was very good. Lots and lots of TVs everywhere. College football was going on. We had a good time. I would recommend Woody’s to everyone, particularly to sports fans.

My friend took me here as it’s his regular hang out place. It’s a very casual with lot of indoor and outdoor space. They have very big bar with lot of pool tables to play. The crowd here are Friendly and they are mainly from nearing neighborhood where most people know each other. I had a local IPA and it was one of the best IPA I had. I heard from my friend that they have a live band, but when I went there was no band.

Loved the food and the live band. The only thing I can say is even though we ordered take out foods and decided to dine in. Servers could have ask us if we need anything or entertain us. They would serve other customers but on our part I felt we needed to get their attention for us to have something to drink. Not bragging but we still left them with a good tip, both band and the restaurant.

Great atmosphere, food was good but wrong but gave it a 4 since it was very good. Service 1 maybe 0, extra items on bill, lost drink orders during bar changeover (sounded like excuse for not putting orders in), refused to write down our order and then literally got every one wrong! Pickles when asked not pickles, missed onions when ordered onions, added sauce when asked for no sauce. Very low attention to table. We will go back as it was awesome atmosphere but service was brutal and full of excuses!

Indoor bar and grill with even better outdoor ambiance. Had a few drinks with good friends. Definitely come back to try something to eat. 9-2-22 Came back the next day for lunch and football Sunday. Service was pretty terrible and food was just as bad. Had to order our own food at the bar, it took a while to get in and when it did it was cold. Definitely over priced. The establishment was showing several games on several different TV's. Only down side was they could only stream the sound from one TV. When I asked if they could change it to the Texas team playing (because we're in Texas) they said they were unable to because it would disrupt the other TV's and it would cause a problems. I even asked if they could alternate the sound intermittently and the answer was no. Mind you, multiple people made this request and got the same answer. So essentially we were staring at a TV with no sound. I will give em 2 stars for this visit and will not be back. I recommend The league kitchen & tavern. Service was a lot better and so was the food

Well we go for the bands that play and enjoy the outdoor area . Music is way too loud for the space though. Screaming at each other to talk. The inside smells like old stale alcohol and beer! Allot of regulars at the bar. Drinks are ok. But the food is a joke. These old dried up carrots and freezer burnt dried up wings ! Uggh how do You ruin chicken wings? They did though!

I love this place but... I m not used to having a bartender tell me my drinks are at the bar come and get em!! Silly me when I order food and drinks I kinda expect the server to bring it to my table especially with 9 people in a place. Very disappointed again. The fact you don't have employees is not our problem.

Meredith ignored us and swapped us to another server with out telling us or her so we had food and no drinks , she didn't seem to care talking to her friends at the bar and at tables …with out checking in with us. Normally the service here is great….

5th time was not the charm. We want to like this place, but after lousy service every single time, we have given up. We’ve never been acknowledged less than 10 minutes of arrival…ever. There’s a 45 minute backup in the kitchen…every single time. Today, they weren’t even busy yet there’s a 45 min backup. I could go on about the food and more about the service, but not worth the time. I will give a suggestion: HIRE MORE PEOPLE!

I want to give some context with these pictures. The first two are a picture and video of the salad water that came inside of the Cobb. The last picture is a paper towel after I wiped some water off the floor, it was literally black from the dirt. I am never one to complain, but this should have never been served to a customer. The cook obviously does not care at all about what they are sending out. Ourservice was great but did not express very much concern about how horrible the salad was. We are not trying to get a refund or anything like that. I am hoping that management sees this and corrects the issue. I understand that this is mostly a bar but Jesus Christ.

Went for an after work happy hour. Had my own tab. I was charged 20 gratuity. I’m not obligated to tip. Especially if the waitress is bad. Which she was.

Tried several times to enjoy this bar. But the negative vibes from the staff. Even negative vibes from the patrons have made me find another place to enjoy a drink. The staff seem to enjoy the company of locals but I even say hello and get blank stares. I tip well and bring only positive vibes. Just get the feeling I just don’t belong in this establishment. It makes me think it may be my ethnicity. I have lived many many years in Europe. I travel back very often. I get treated with smiles, dignity, and respect. I am a 3rd gen American., Retired US Marine, and 100% Disabled Veteran. And return home to this kind of dissatisfactory service. I am glad I have come to the conclusion after reading several negative reviews. That I am not the only customer that feels this way. So I will take my business, good vibes, and great tips elsewhere.

If you are the kind of person who wants to feel comfortable at a neighborhood pub, avoid this place at all costs. The angst of the staff is palpable. Be a normal patron at your own risk. The avenue of respect, normally a two way thoroughfare, has lane closures that should direct you one way—anywhere but this place. I have had friendlier tax auditors than this staff. Miss me with your front of house. If you like overpriced bad food and even more overpriced drinks with bad service to boot there then save this location.
