Santa Catalina is one of my favorite restaurants. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere feels both cozy and elegant, creating the perfect setting to relax and enjoy a great meal. The food is always outstanding: fresh ingredients, well-balanced flavors, and beautifully presented dishes. The menu offers a variety of options that never disappoint, and everything feels carefully prepared. The service is also excellent – the staff is friendly, attentive, and always ready to recommend the best choices. Every visit has been a memorable experience, and without a doubt, Santa Catalina is one of the best places to enjoy a special meal in the city.

Let me start by saying that this place has one of the best salsa’s in the lakeway area! The food here is excellent. We’re so glad we live a stones throw away from this place. This place is vegetarian friendly and has a plethora of options for us to choose from. We have the quesadilla, fajita and enchiladas. All of them were well flavored and came out hot. Also, if you’re eating here you must accompany your food with the excellent margaritas that they have. The agave one with a tajin rim will make you forget all your worries. This place will always be crowded(rightfully so) and maybe noisy. So if you’re looking for a place to have a quaint dinner, this ain’t it.

Everything was delicious! In addition to our meals, the prickly pear margarita with tajin rim and the guacamole were amazing. Our toddler loved her chicken tenders! My husband cannot stop talking about the mole on his enchiladas cochinita. The de mariscos rellenos were perfection. We honestly couldn’t decide whose entree was better!

Arrived for HH and was impressed with the appetizer deals. The margs are all very good and there’s plenty to choose from. The shrimp cocktail is pretty big but the shrimp in it were a bit chewy. The nachos were tasty and the meat toppings were tender.

This was the best Mexican food I’ve had outside of Mexico! The queso and guacamole were a great way to start the meal. I got the taquitos with green salsa and they were amazing! Ended the meal with a flan slice from heaven. Make sure to try the pork!

I am in town and met up with a friend of mine today for lunch and per the recommendation , Santa Catarina was on the short list. Located in a shopping center, the location is convenient yet unassuming. They had an outdoor patio with lovely flower boxes, we opted to eat inside as it was a little drizzly today. Ample seating inside as well. A nice tree decorated for Christmas and cool light features. The rustic wood pieces on the wall were a nice touch. I had a mimosa, and my friend had a bloody Mary, we both enjoyed them. We ordered the ceviche for an appetizer, and was surprised at the size of it! Really fresh, had a nice flavor. For lunch my friend had Chilaquiles and said it was delicious. I had the steak on the brunch menu, served with black beans, potatoes and a side of fruit. They had a great flavor, was steak was well seasoned and moist. Service was really good, the server took care of us, and the manager checked on us as well. Great experience, would highly suggest Santa Catarina! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Always a good time at this place, great service and atmosphere. The one challenge we've run into is consistency. One visit the Camerones Chipotle is perfect, with crisp slaw, perfectly grilled shrimp, etc, another time it can be less than that. Similar for most other dishes, sometimes excellent chicken dishes, this time a tough chicken breast that could barely be sawed through with the provided steak knife. Santa Catarina would be a solid five stars if they could find a way to be consistent.

Food was out of this world. Service was a little lacking at the beginning and then finally realized they had somebody outside since they didn't have enough tables inside each. It would be good if there was fans outside to circulate the air. Would have been nice to adjusted to canopy down a little bit so customer won't get hit by the sun setting.

I was a little underwhelmed by this place. But I would give it a second try. I think my order just wasn’t their strong suit. I ordered the Taquitos Dorados. They was pretty bland tasting and the tortillas were pretty soggy. But I saw some other orders that looked way better than mine so I’ll definitely come back and try out some of the other options. Service was great. Atmosphere was nice but really hot inside. Which made it uncomfortable.

I visited this restaurant for the first time with two friends, and as a Latina, I have to say I was disappointed. The food didn’t taste authentic Mexican to me. However, the waitress was very nice and even offered us a sample of guacamole, which I appreciated.

⭐ 2 stars – Disappointing flavors at premium prices I was really hopeful when the service was so excellent—attentive, friendly, and prompt throughout our meal. The outdoor patio is charming, and margaritas were nice to start. But once the food arrived, everything fell flat. 🔹 Flavor & execution • Most dishes were bland and under-seasoned—no depth, no kick, nothing to make them memorable. • One reviewer mentioned their food “was cold and under seasoned,” and my experience matched that directly   . 🔹 Pricing • Definitely on the pricey side. The quality just doesn’t justify the elevated prices. For what we paid, we expected bold, vibrant flavors—you know, the way Santa Catarina markets itself . 🔹 Service & atmosphere • Service was indeed excellent—our server clearly cared and was friendly. But unfortunately, great service doesn’t make up for disappointing food. • Noise wasn’t a problem at the time we visited, so that was a redeeming quality. Overall: The ambiance, service, and drinks were enjoyable, but the main courses lacked flavor and felt overpriced. I wouldn’t return or recommend this location unless they seriously improve the food.

Bar tender’s service is bad. The mexican martini is the worse in town. The tequila they use is the cheapest and tastes like pharmacy alcohol with water. In general too expensive for the service you receive and for the drinks you get.

I ordered pork enchiladas. The pork had no flavor. They weren’t even real enchiladas because all they did was take some tortillas put their cooked four days ago pork filling into it and then cover it with some some kind of sauce that they said it was a green salsa or maybe it was a ranchero sauce, regardless of what type of sauce they were claiming it was it was lacking in all flavor, profiles, and aspects that you would ever think to serve somebody. To top it off your dinner plate enchiladas don’t come with beans and rice. I was told that comes with the lunch menu, which is bizarre. My wife ordered taquitos which were pan fried not fried crispy. If you’re a Texan or if you’re from the southwest and you like authentic Mexican/Tex-Mex food don’t come here! if you want to get drunk on margaritas and you don’t really care care what you eat this is your place for overpriced fraudulent Mexican food. Even Taco Bell is better, at least you know what you’re gonna get; TRASH! Try Maudie‘s or LaCabana there great!

I used to really like Santa Catarina and its food is generally pretty good however they have a very serious issue with charging you more on your bill than you spent for the food a drinks you ordered. This happened two times in the past couple of months most recently yesterday. Totally unacceptable and a major liability to the restaurant. Check your bill before leaving. The excuse was the waiter was “outside his comfort zone”. That’s not an excuse, that’s a clear dismissal and avoidance of a serious problem. We won’t be back here for a very long time because of this reoccurring issue.
