P Terry’s is by far my favorite fast food place— in fact, it’s the only one I eat from! Their food is fresh & delicious, plus it’s very affordable. People compare this on " In & Out " burgers. For me I prefer P Terry's. I'm not a vegetarian but their vegetarian burger is the best I've ever eaten. Their fries are also better than Inn and Out. I wish they were faster. It's no chic fillet on ordering. I'm sure they'd tell you because it's fresh but when you have 20 people and cars in line just put another pattie on. Chic fillet always taste fresh to me.

We literally walked in the door 5 min before close and they still completely served us with out hesitation! Our cashier was amazing. I wish I would have gotten his name. We are visiting from Atlanta so we weren't familiar with the area and closing times. Had they not served us We would have been hungry for the night. Thank u guys for serving us last minute! First time eating here and was definitely surprised. I thought after seeing the pricing it was going to be another low quality burger but it wasn't. Burger was made fresh and was delicious. The fries were amazing and the ketchup was next level. The chicken nuggets were all meat and tasty. I'll definitely be making this a regular stop when I want a burger.

I've seen P Terry's a couple times and never had a chance to stop and decided to give them a try. Now everyone wants to talk about in n out or whataburger but people be sleeping on P Terry's. The food really was delicious and was good enough that I went a second time. The second time i decided to dine in and the staff was very friendly. I got a regular burger and fries with the raspberry tea which was delicious. I definitely recommend both. I know some people will say that a burger is a burger but P Terry's are definitely on a different level.

Great value here. Burgers are solid and prices fantastic. $1.00 for a big oatmeal chocolate chip cookie? That's cheap. Shakes use a mix but still taste good and are cheap. The burgers taste great and don't upset my stomach. I personally compare this place to In-n-Out, except the French fries are better here. Service is great too.

I went in there for the first time ever. The service was amazing. We need more polite people like them. The burgers were real good and the French fries were amazing. To the young man who served us thank you for the hospitality.you made us feel welcome and you knew the menus and gave us so many options. The time was between 7 and 720 pm on the second. I wish I had an employee like that young man.

Edit: P. Terry's team got back to immediately and made it right. Solid group of folks working at this company. Kind of surprised, P. Terry's is normally on point, but this was the first time I've had a negative experience at one. The order was wrong, we ordered a number 2 and 3 combo and got a pair of number 1's with no fries for either. It was also cold by the time it got to us. Swing and a miss for the Lakeway location.

My husband and I were there yesterday. We love the service, the cleanliness, the atmosphere, the crew were all awesome. We saw them work as a great team. The food was delicious and affordable. We are coming back to eat here and spend a good time at P. Terry’s.

Brought the whole family to P Terry’s and my son in law recommended I get the P Scarry’s off of the secret menu ( 4 patties, 4 slices of cheese, and all the toppings including jalapeños and fried onions). It was OUTSTANDING! Everyone loved their food and we topped it all off with their delicious candy cane milkshake! Thank you P Terrys for a fabulous and memorable dinner with the family!

I ordered two veggie burger lettuce wraps. From the beginning to the end, I received excellent customer service. They got my order wrong at first. When I told the cashier that, he promptly gave me two new lettuce wraps and actually added a milkshake. My dad really likes milkshakes. The veggie wraps were delicious. The environment was kind of one of those environments where you can see people in front of you. It could be awkward, but I embraced it as a time of connecting. The music was fun but not danceable. Traveling through, we were craving burgers and got a family recommendation for this place. As East Coasters, we'd never tried it before, and wow! It easily surpasses Five Guys, especially for those who love a meaty, hand-formed burger patty. Our kids rated it a perfect 10/10 and immediately asked to return. The menu is straightforward, the fries are great, and the restaurant itself is spacious and clean. To put it bluntly, it makes Five Guys seem subpar. We're eagerly awaiting their East Coast expansion!

Burgers are smaller but good. Good shakes. Expect quick ordering line and then grab a table, drink, and condiments while waiting for your order to be cooked fresh. Every time I am there, the music playing is pretty good. They are pretty good about keeping tables cleaned off to keep up with dine-in customers. I never had to wipe off a table. Bus your own table on the way out.

Have heard a lot of hype on P. Terry's burgers. Great concept along with neat ambiance and architecture. However, it was very average burger...nothing great or special. They serve shoestring fries which were outstanding but included a lot of small pieces and parts out of the fryer. The restaurant was clean and the employees were friendly and professional.

Only 3 because the burgers are somewhat dry and cold by the time you get to them. More of that special sauce might help make them more unctuous. Also both times I ate there the cheese was not melted on top of the burger and never did, which would really help. On the other hand these don't leave you feeling greasy and like many of the national chains. So it's a balance. If you want the pickles and onions maybe have them in the side as they can make it cold also. On the upside, best and rare place for a decent veggie burger. The meat is good and the price reasonable. Love the thin browned fries but you will need ketchup as they veer towards the bitter sometimes. Servive great, everyone very nice. So management: more special sauce and let's melt that cheese !

I ordered a number 2 in the drive thru. The burger itself was actually seasoned which was a nice change from other burger joints. The fries were pretty crispy but I don’t think they salt the fries so if you like them salty be sure to ask for salt. I asked for ketchup on the side but didn’t receive any so be sure you check for your condiments. They also don’t have bottled water nor sweet tea so that was a surprise. The staff seemed average and seemed a smidge slow but in all I would go there more readily than I would McDonald’s or Burger King 🤷‍♀️

Online order. Place was dead. I didn't check the bag because it had everything was checked off. Paid for 3 special sauces means no special sauce. I would have called but they were closed and next day was Easter.

The exterior made me feel like I’d be transported back to a hip diner and while the vibe is solid and the music good, the burgers were only meh. If you just want a burger then grab it, but not my in my top 10 burger places.

Y’all are a hit or miss! Fries are salted about 30% of the time, and those peppered beef patties hit the mark only about 20% of the time. Consistency could definitely use some work. That said, you’re always quick and convenient, which keeps you in the game. Compared to the competition, you’re solid, but Hat Creek across the street definitely has a leg up. I’d love to update my review if things improve—my wife is a big fan of P. Terry’s, and we want to keep supporting y’all!

I had a most bizarre experience here with a harried and almost belligerent guy taking my payment. It was strange. The fries are usually great, but they were not. The burgers were incredibly greasy. The burgers are only ever alright. Something is off with this location. I hope they get it back on track. When the food and service are at their best, it’s a good value.

Had I written this review a few weeks ago, I would have given a much higher rating. Last night, we stopped in to pick up a take out order and were just ignored. For some reason they had 10+ orders in bagging area and could not prioritize who was first. We saw a number of table orders sent out while we waited. What was usually a 5min wait was over 20mins. We would have asked for a refund but that would have added another 5 mins. I hope the Lakeway location is aware of the problem and works to clear this up. Take out at P Terrys has been our go to for a quick burger on the go. Not sure we will do that next time.

3 Stars because this location is usually great and I don't wish to bash local business. However, I do need to share, with hopes that this will improve service in the future; this location was absolutely slammed with the drive thru backed up to 620 and the entire boys high school soccer team inside packing down 3 burgers a piece. Shame on me for thinking I could pick up a quick single burger and fries on a Friday night for my daughter who was understandably whining every time someone else got their food first. Try telling a 3-year-old that she needs to wait 40 minutes for fries. A kind lady offered to help me watch her as I inquired about my order. The guy next to me flat out left burger-less after waiting 50 minutes for his door dash order. To top it all off, after my 3rd time inquiring, turns out my to-go bag was sitting right there but they skipped over my #. I get that y'all are slammed and I'm happy business is good, but you serve burgers, fries and shakes, not the 60 dishes that Thai Spice can whip up in 8 minutes. Your poor manager doing his best to keep a smile on his face shouldn't have to be flipping 30 burgers at a time because the half of the staff isn't showing any urgency.

I've been going to P Terry since it opened. I've since moved away from Austin but I usually stop by if I'm in the area. I went to this location and ordered my usual. When I got back to my hotel I realized it was way too fat. It was a double. The reason I wouldn't ever order a double is because it throws off the balance. A good burger has to have balance between meat vegetables and bread. If I want more I would order two single burgers. I thought oh well , somebody on the line messed up, and the burger still tasted good as far as the ingredients go and then I checked the receipt and it said that I paid for the double. Okay that's no bueno. There's no way they can mistake what I said for a double. It screams a manager trying to jack up revenue on unsuspecting customers. And that's not cool.

I really liked this place but how many times can orders be missing items and delivery take close to 2 hours. Ordering delivery via their website is ridiculous. It says delivered with DoorDash but you can't get any support through DoorDash. Website says call the location, calling location they claim they don't work with DoorDash. What a joke. The burgers are actually good but if you can’t get the food it doesn’t really matter.

The place looked nice and the drive-thru moved pretty quickly. That's all this place had going for it. They do natural fresh cuts fries and anyone that has had fries like that, they know they are horrible and these fries were no different. Frozen fries are perfection so why try to make them better. Now for the burgers... they used fresh ground beef but you could barely tell after being so over cooked. Wendy's has a better burger. I can see why these are only around Austin, because they wouldn't be able to sell this anywhere else.

Live in Austin proper and big P.T. fan. Stopped at this location for a "quick" bite on way home from the lake. We waited over 20 minutes in the diner for our food, which ended up coming out cold and incorrect. It was a shockingly bad experience, and not something I have ever experienced from P.T. in years of eating it.

You will wait 30 minutes inside for a simple milkshake, while watching them take care of 15-20 cars in the drive-thru at the same time. Then they'll finally hand you one that has been sitting on the counter for 10 minutes and is mostly melted. This place has become a joke. The drive through guy was rude. I ordered sides of special sauce that he charged me for but didn’t provide. My fries were soaking wet and did not appear cooked. And even though I ordered five drinks I was given no straws. It shows how one persons bad attitude can ruin things from top to bottom. Will not be returning to this location due to the rudeness and not be given what I paid for.

This P. Terry’s location is the worst. They always forget something — today it was the cookies I paid for. And when I brought it up, the staff acted like I was the problem. No apology, no effort to fix it, just rude attitude. This isn’t a one-time thing — it happens constantly. If you can’t get a simple order right or treat customers with basic respect, why are you even in business?

Spent $20.57 and didn't even get what I ordered. I had ordered a #3 with pepper jack and a #5 with pepper jack. Got the right drinks and some fries, but we got someone else's food. So I paid more to get a cheaper item. Thank you for this experience, and it wasn't even busy... Never coming back.

Honestly the worst burger I’ve ever had in my life. My child ordered the chicken sandwich and it was disgusting. I took it back to the counter and swapped it for a burger and even though the chicken was more $$$ they had a hard time just swapping it out for me, I didn’t want a refund I just wanted edible food for my child. We travel the country and to me this is the WORST burger in America. Trash meat with hard gristle pieces along with the patty being so small and tiny. If you’re a big protein eater like my family, pass this place up. 2/10 stars. Would NOT recommend.

Waited over 20 minutes in drive thru for the worst tiny burger of my life. Also was charged for 3 French fries when we only ordered 2. Also, almost forgot my drink. I rarely ever eat P Terry and every single time I do, I question why. I filled out their survey and placed the option to receive a follow up, and nobody has contacted me. Safe to say, nobody at P Terrys cares about the food or service and it’s quite obvious. I would not recommend this place to family or friends
