Delicious food with Middle Eastern twist. Very spacious but tends to get busy at times so booking recommended. Good and friendly service. Nice speciality coffee too. Lots of options for vegans.

It’s a great place for breakfast/brunch. Their Turkish eggs is a great veggie option. The place is bright and modern

The brunch here is REALLY good! I had the puller pork benedict and it was epic. They also serve fresh orange juice which is so rare I had to order one. The coffee is also very well made. The service is very friendly and the place is really cool! If it's warm enough try sitting outside.

Stopped in on a rainy day while waiting for the shops to open. Ordered the seasonal hit chai latte and a scone with house-made jams and orange blossom butter. Ever5was delicious!

We went here for brunch and had the Pulled Pork Benedict, which was delicious thanks to the variety of fresh and flavorful ingredients. I also tried the Rosita (a mimosa with raspberry), which paired perfectly with the meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this place for a relaxed and tasty brunch.

Went on a recent visit here for my 40th birthday. What an amazing spot! While I count myself somewhat adventurous with my food options, I wouldn't have had here on my to visit list. And boy, was I missing out. At the time of visiting their was a Middle Eastern food selection on the menu. Every dish was excellent. We went for the sharing plates between our group. All the food options were explained to us, and for each course that came out, we were given information about it. The staff here were very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this spot. Try something new you might just like it.

Get yourself the tofu with mushroom sandwich (and halloumi). It was absolutely CLASS. Best brunch I had during my visit in Ireland.

Brother Hubbard stands out as one of the best breakfast spots I have visited anywhere. This Dublin café is thoughtful, flavorful, and genuinely memorable. On my recent visit, I ordered the pulled pork Benedict—an inviting twist on the classic that more than delivered. The pork was tender and well seasoned, and the hollandaise tied it together beautifully. I also had a ginger fruit scone, which was simply delicious. Its crisp exterior gave way to a soft, warm center, and the ginger added just the right note of spice and sweetness. The atmosphere at Brother Hubbard matches the quality of its food—welcoming and lively, with staff who let you enjoy your meal at a comfortable pace. For anyone visiting Dublin, I recommend putting Brother Hubbard on your list. Whether you are a brunch regular or simply want a good start to your day, this place will not disappoint.

The absolute best food I've had since going vegan in 2023! It looked colourful, smelt divine, and tasted fabulous! It was quite busy throughout the time that we were there but the staff never looked harassed and happily answered my questions. They have a cookbook that I will be ordering on payday. It has a lovely open, contemporary feel to the place and despite how big it is, due to its layout, it doesn't have that 'canteen' feel that some large restaurants can have. The menus are regularly changed too. I most definitely recommend Brother Hubbard if you're ever in Dublin and want some really great food, vegan or otherwise..

Great breakfast: The freshly baked scones were a highlight for sure. Otherwise interesting twists on dishes that you wouldn’t expect but taste amazing.

OMG this place is a must if you need fresh, tasty and vibrant food. The 3 salads change every two weeks. I got the broccoli and cauliflower with the coleslaw and a lentil & carrot. Absolutely divine!!! The pulled pork benedict was delicious also according to my boyfriend. Also had a rose, raspberry and apple drink- very refreshing.

Had brunch here yesterday and it was grand! The staff were friendly and welcoming, the place had a nice buzz, and the food hit the spot. My meal and the flat white were both top-notch. Definitely a solid spot for brunch in Dublin, I’ll be back soon!

A gem cafe in city center, with plenty of seating and some very unique brunch options. We tried their Turkish eggs, French toast, fresh orange juice and Cappuccino. Highly recommend!

There is a sign at the entrance that says "best breakfast in Ireland". When I was being seated I mentioned that to the person who led me to my table and he said that it was something that someone mentioned. He wasn't aware that there was a sign that mentioned that. I ordered a decaf Americano with milk on the side. Then I waited to order. It took a while for a waitress to come and ask for my order and when she asked me if I was ready I said "I want the basic with bacon". Then she left and I waited again. Then I noticed that people asked for a coffee and a pastry and then waited and asked for their food. The coffee and the pastry was like an appetizer. My food arrived and then I started eating. After the first bites I realized why the sign is at the front. In my opinion this is the best breakfast I have ever tasted in Dublin and other places I have visited in Ireland. The service may not be the greatest but the breakfast is amazing. It is my favorite place for breakfast so far and I will continue to go here for as long as I am in Dublin. I didn't enjoy the decaf Americano as much but next time I will order orange juice instead. Overall I highly recommend Brother Hubbard for breakfast. Go and visit. I know you will enjoy the food here.

I really like this place — I’ve been here before and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere and service are always great. However, today I tried the Irish breakfast, and it wasn’t as good as I expected. I think it could be improved, and the coffee was a bit too bitter this time. I know you guys can do much better because you usually do! Looking forward to coming back and seeing it back to its usual great standard.

Last weekend my girlfriend and I went to Brother Hubbard for the first time and it was amazing. We were welcomed really well. Even though there was a queue, it was fast and we got a table quickly. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. There was also a man working with a big smile all the time — later I saw a book and realized he was on the cover! The atmosphere is great and the food is delicious. The only thing is that the Mimosa was a bit too strong for 11 in the morning hahaha Just one more point: it would be nice if the staff wore uniforms, to make them easier to identify I totally recommend this place!

I come here often for a reason, it’s my top spot in Dublin for brunch, the food never misses. The female manager is always very friendly. However, aside from her, the chances of catching a staff members attention after they’ve taken your order is slim to none. Nevertheless, I always encourage people to go here.

We had a wonderful experience at Brother Hubbard. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and kindness by the entire staff. The atmosphere is beautiful and inviting, the service attentive, and the food absolutely delicious — thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The coffee was excellent and truly memorable. A lovely place where care and hospitality are felt in every detail. We would happily return and highly recommend it.

This is not your average cafe at all. Gorgeous building with great decor and a fantastic atmosphere. Staff are very friendly and extremely efficient, great service. And the eggs Benedict is the best I have ever eaten, anyway! Every mouthful a delight.

This place really exceeded our expectations. It’s much bigger than it looks from the outside, with a really nice atmosphere that makes it perfect for a relaxed brunch. The menu has great options — everything we tried was super tasty and the portions were generous. The coffee was absolutely delicious too. The staff were very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. We’ll definitely come back again!

We found this place while we waited to go to the leprechaun museum across the road. It had a lovely seated area outside and when we read the menu outside we recognised a dish off Somebody Feed Phil (the menemen I hope that’s right!) and that alone was enough to make us go in : ) But all the 5 stars we gave were deserved from after that point. The restaurant is lovely, we were greeted so nicely and taken to a table straight away on the patio area. The homemade cola is beautiful like bonfire toffee. We ordered the vegan plate (not a vegan but it was the most savoury thing I’ve ever eaten. The bean purée is so delicious) and the pulled pork eggs Benedict and honestly talked about it the whole of the day. It was just delicious. Price wise, honestly it’s so so reasonable considering the quality of the food. We were seated, served and all ready to leave in about 50 minutes. Thanks to all who served us, one of the best bits of us being in Dublin!

A great spot for breakfast or brunch while in Dublin. We had the Frenchie and the basic plus eggs. Both were great. Their coffees and teas are also great. The staff was friendly and attentive. My girlfriend spilled some water and they were cool about it. We can highly recommend this place.

Dublin was the first stop of my Europe travels back in May and I stumbled across Brother Hubbard while exploring the city. Looking back this was my favorite breakfast spot of my entire trip and I almost stayed an extra day just to get their breakfast a second time! I got a very chocolatey version of the Frenchie and it was incredible, very rich, I still daydream about eating it. The cinnamon walnut scroll was also delicious and the Iced Dirty Chai Latte remained the best chai I've had to date. The clonanny sausages were an unexpected delight. The outer skin had a very warm and buttery texture that I wasn't expecting, but loved, and they were cooked perfectly. I would return to Dublin just to eat at Brother Hubbard's again, it was that good.

A really charming little café, perfect for brunch. I came here with a friend after hearing that they offer gluten-free options for both breakfast and lunch. But there’s actually much more than that. I was warmly greeted and immediately asked by the staff if my friend and I would like a coffee or tea. The drinks arrived quickly, and we were given the menu right away. I thought this was great, as we could enjoy a drink while waiting, without feeling too impatient for the food. When I finally saw the menu, I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did they offer gluten-free options, but also vegetarian dishes and meals with meat—there was really something for everyone. Paired with exotic drinks, you could enjoy a satisfying, healthy, and balanced meal, with some nice little sides. I ordered a gluten-free sandwich, a coffee, an apple rose drink, a small soup and a delicious cheese cake, all for a very fair price. For people with celiac disease, this café is a true hidden gem.

I can’t recommend more this place the taste of the food is really good, even the chocolate cake tastes different as usual one I must say much better, the hummus were so delicious and I’ve triyed many more before. The place is big and clean, there is not tap water for free. When you ask for your bill they give you a mint tea no charge. Good value for money. No needed reservation in advance. Service of the coffe a little slow. Disable toilet available here which one is very thoughtfully.

Lovely brunch spot with fresh dishes and a warm vibe. Busy but worth the wait — staff are friendly and the food creative. Great for coffee, salads or a relaxed lunch.

Had 2 amazing brunches here last weekend! We got the full brother hubbard (my favorite), the turkish eggs menemen with added chorizo, the pulled pork benedict (my boyfriend’s favorite), and the lemon chicken sandwich. Everything was super tasty and the cappuccinos were great too! Our waitress was super lovely so whenever we’re back in Dublin we’ll be sure to go back again :)

Solid brunch place, ok prices. Could it have been cheaper? yes? but could it have been more expensive? also yes. the staff here is very friendly! super nice and super helpful when it comes to recommendations. the restaurant itself is also cool, cozy, but a bit basic if that makes sense. nothing wrong with that. the food, let’s start with the good. the cinnamon bun was excellent! perfect level of sweet, and had some extra crunch to it. The juice was also very good, and my party also said the coffee was solid. however i did not enjoy the pulled pork toast as much, as i thought everything was a bit too much, and it made the toast quite soggy, and everything on the plate kind of tasted the same. but still a solid brunch spot! recommend.

We had a great brunch at this place. Delicious food, nice drinks and good atmosphere. The staff is very nice but are very busy. Although we had no problem getting a table (arrived at 11:50) there was a long cue when we left (left 12:40).

Great menu here. Visited twice. Food is wonderful. Good sized portions. Tasty. Service - needs attention. Wait to be served. Try to make eye contact but get ignored. Ordered tea but milk was off. Was brought new cup and milk but tea not replaced. A shame as this is otherwise a great place but something missing to make it 5 stars.

This establishment is very well equipped and has a great vibe. It was busy but not full on a Tuesday late morning. We went for a breakfast and found a super vegan oat milk chai latte. Their regular coffee is also excellent and they chose a great house blend. The food was a little disappointing. They have good flavours but the execution could be better. The chicken sandwich had great bread and was really nicely marinated, but the chicken was very cold out the fridge. It was a temperature that didn’t fit with the other components and detracted from the taste. It came with a choice of soup or salad, I option for a soup which was perfectly tasty and a nice touch. There were not many vegan options but they did make their regular poached egg dish with more veggies instead of the eggs. It was a nice thought but it didn’t really work. As a large place that was a first stop on the Netflix show “somebody feed Phil” I would have expected the exotic flavours to be executed with a little more finesse. I would recommend it to someone as a place for a nice breakfast that’s worth the money, but I think anyone visiting because of the show might be slightly underwhelmed.

Great atmosphere. Food presentation was beautiful but the flavors didn't excatly add up for me. The staff were very kind and welcoming. Reasonable pricing and a well designed menu. Dublin, Ireland

The food was really lovely. The dessert was a bit too sweet for my taste, but my fiance loved it. Staff was nice too. But every time I come (and I visit every couple of months for years now), the nice area in the back is always closed, and I end up seating at the front. Only once (out of many times) I was lucky to get a table in the back. It's nicer atmosphere and cosier when you're in the back instead at the front where everyone is passing by near you. It would be great if it's open more often. Escpecially since the food is quite pricey.

The staff were super friendly but unfortunately our wait time for our food was well after others. My wife loved her pulled pork Benedict & our son devoured his cinnamon walnut scroll. Price wise we spent about €70 for a family of 5 but we didn’t get the kids actual meals just pastries.

We love Brother Hubbard, its buzzy, friendly and staff are great. Sad to see that Eggs Menamin was taken off the menu, we always order it and visit Bh mainly because it is on the menu. The menu appeared to have more sweet than savoury options on today. I'm hoping these changes are just for the Christmas rush!

When you walk in it is not very clear whether the Que was for those who had bookings or walk ins, so we were waiting to be seen by a staff member for a while, before seated. Once seated it was quite a while before they came and took our drink order and food. However once received our food was fantastic, I had the pulled pork Benedict which was amazing it tasted so fresh and juicy, definitely recommend. My boyfriend had the Frenchie, which was bursting with flavour. Definitely recommend it was busy, but the place was a lot bigger than we thought and the tables are relatively spaced out so you don’t feel claustrophobic

T

Very nice cool atmosphere here. We were waiting a good while for service though, and they got the order wrong. I thought it was strange that our order wasn’t being wrote down. Paid over €60 for 2 breakfasts. I expect better.

M
Molly MacKinnon

Underwhelming. The menu was very different to the one online, much smaller with 3 dishes less. All 3 that I liked were removed. Fry was pricey and didn't include toast which is a bit strange, sausage was great, egg white was still raw. Also no caramel syrup for my coffee and we asked for the bill but we're just brought over a card machine and asked to pay so no idea if we were charged for the right dishes or not. Very strange

C
Colin Westwater

Popped in on a Sunday morning for a breakfast. Took a while to get seated. Ordered a couple of breakfasts. It was ok. The bacon was pretty rubbish but the sausages were nice. No ketchup available apart from their €1.50 spicy ketchup. Just give people a bottle of Heinz please! It was ok, just felt quite expensive for what it was.

The atmosphere of this spot was the best part of my brunch visit. Bustling and full of well-dressed people with a hipster chic vibe, it was a great and warm atmosphere to have brunch in. The service was disjointed and sporadic with our group having the flag down servers a few times when in need of things. And the food was sadly quite disappointing. The menu read like an interesting, eclectic and high end brunch spot but in execution our dishes were bland. My seasonal salad plate but dull, the fruit scone mediocre and the pulled pork sandwich was also mediocre. I would recommend the hot sauce however as we ordered it as a side and it was delicious. We came at peak brunch hour and had a reservation and would recommend making on as the place was packed.

A
Arun Thundyill Saseendran

A nice restaurant with good staff and nice ambiance. The food quality is ok, and the pricing is decent. However, overall we felt there was comparatively less choice in terms of food. Also some of the items we saw were a bit off putting - say bottled orange juice for a mimosa instead of fresh and so on. Overall a decent place to dine with friends for a brunch.

G

Great decor, but bring a parka. 🥶 The food was overpriced (rubbery eggs and sickly sweet chai), but the real issue was the atmosphere. The staff admitted they keep the place cold on purpose and even made a sarcastic comment about us "warming up elsewhere" on our way out. Plenty of warmer places to spend your money.

M

Probably my least favorite place in Dublin! Food: The food was not good due to the odd mix of ingredients. We were a group of 5 and the only people that liked their food were the ones that ordered the full Irish breakfast which you can’t get wrong. (Cherry on top was the Hair in the plate). Server: The server we had was very dismissive and would walk away mid order. We asked for multiple things that never came including the basics(water). Atmosphere: Not too bad! Big space and interesting decor. I personally wouldn’t recommend this restaurant.

A
Alisha Jermann

We were there for brunch and had to wait, which wasn’t troublesome at all, especially as the waiter was really friendly, gave us the menu already, and they have a waiting area. However, we did have to wait quite a bit to order. The atmosphere overall was alright, but it was extremely loud. We ordered the eggs Benedict, which were alright, even though a bit special in terms of composition, and a brownie, which was tasty. The coffee, on the other hand, tasted burnt. I would recommend the place just to takeaway sweets.

A

Went in for brunch, had a table booked so we’re seated very quickly que was about 20 minutes if we didn’t book. Our order wasn’t taken for ten minutes. Got our coffees ten minutes after that coffee was nice food didn’t come out for another 20 minutes so the coffee was well gone. Food was ok plates came out dirty underneath with some sauce from the waiter carrying them I assume. There is a massive hype for it but the eggs came out hard which killed it for me. We might give it another go next time we are in Dublin but for the hype it has we didn’t have a pleasant experience I think I saw 7-8 waiters maybe they need more kitchen staff

J
Jonathan Pable-Myers

We visited for brunch. The place appeared under staffed on the day but the staff who did serve us were so lovely. I ordered the Irish breakfast. The food was nice but a terribly small portion. If you do want an Irish breakfast I would not recommend it here.

Was really looking forward to trying here, literally for years I have passed by and wanted to try. Finally came today…. Waited a few mins to be seated, then before we even had a chance to sit and look at the menu our drinks order was taken. We just got coffee but it came pretty quickly at least. Then we waited for our food order to be taken… and waited 40 minutes just to be asked “Nobody you that the kitchen is closed?”. We explained that no, nobody had told us this… our menus were still on the table. The waitress ended up coming back and taking our order in the end, but we still wasted a lot of time sitting here. Then we were offered us a €5.95 dessert as an apology, though it came before we received our main meal. When the food finally came though it was clear it wasn’t properly heated and by that time, our drinks were finished, as our drinks order had been taking before we even sat down, and we weren’t willing to pay again for two more given the cost of the food already. We had also ordered two sides of ketchup (at €0.75 each!) which didn’t come when our food finally arrived. We had to ask for ketchup and water - and when the ketchup came, there was only one. We didn’t bother to ask a third time.

I love food and love finding new places! Sadly, this place is not worth going to. I came with friends. We ordered coffee to begin with. It was ok, not great. I then ordered the pulled pork eggs Benedict. Since the menu is VERY limited, I would have expected the main dishes to be freshly made. Not so. It came out very lukewarm and the hollandaise sauce had congealed on top. It looked and tasted like something that had been pre-made and either sat around for hours or was pulled from the fridge and heated. The hollandaise had no flavor to it, and the whole dish was pretty bland. I suspect this is why they don’t allow any changes - it’s all pre-made. My friend ordered the cinnamon roll pastry and only took 2 bites of it as it was too dry. Another friend ordered a brownie and it was small & really basic -not worth the price. It all just felt like a big rip-off. And to top it off, I went to the bathroom after the meal - two stalls were out of order, two sinks had broken taps and no soap to be found ANYWHERE. … I wanted to love this place but, really, would not recommend it at all, unless you just want some coffee or tea and nice decor to look at.

A nice place for taking pictures rather than eating. The meat ball has a very strongly goat/lamb meat smell… Not sure what it is. Not all of people can stand it. Pork is better. The staff take us 10 euros for large table service fee(more than 5 people) without telling us in advance. It is the reason I gave one start. I don’t know whether it is common for all the restaurants in Dublin. You know, I prefer eating separately for saving the money…😅 It is a very busy place. Many people come as it is famous. I know they already treat this for granted. Also looking by what they replied me as followed, I confirm it. 😂 They seems tell me: “If you do not like the food, it is your own problem. Our food is fresh. If you did not to read every line in the menu carefully , it your own problem. Not ours.”
