The food was amazing, and the staff were so friendly and accommodating to my milk allergy. Very romantic atmosphere. Highly recommend ♥️

We had a truly wonderful evening in Osteria Lucio. Genuine welcome from staff, superb top class authentic Italian food. Exceptional service and friendliness in a most comfortable and convivial atmosphere. This is without doubt the finest Italian restaurant in Dublin.

Absolutely fabulous. Best veal saltimbuco and carpaccio I’ve ever had. Mushroom gnocchi delicious. Tirmusu is FABULOUS. wait staff impeccable. Make a reservation!

Loved it. We arrived early. Not a problem we were given a table in the front conservatory and enjoy a glass of wine with lovely dips. The staff very friendly and efficient. The meal superb. Lovely end to a great day.

Excellent meal, wonderful service team, very friendly and attentive 👍

Amazing Italian style food and very reasonably priced! Staff were professional and friendly. Would recommend the scallops, seafood spaghetti and the cannoli. The restaurant is situated under the dart line and is shaped in a half oval giving it a bunker feel. You can hear the dart going buy and sounds like thunder for a couple of seconds. It actually ads to the experience and vibe and doesn’t intrude on conversation. Really unique spot and would definitely go back. Food was amazing

Osteria Lucio never disappoints — it’s always the best choice for any occasion. We stopped by in a rush last week before the theatre, and the manager, Paulo, accommodated us so warmly and efficiently. He even expedited our food to ensure we wouldn’t miss the show. The food was absolutely AMAZING, as always, paired with excellent wine and cocktails. I truly love every visit here and can’t wait to come back. Special thanks to Paulo for going above and beyond to make our evening unforgettable. Already looking forward to our next visit!

Had a celebration meal and food was absolutely fantastic but the most impressive was that we wanted the suckling pig ( definitely worth it) and we were suggested to order 2 portions rather than 3 as the manager felt 3 to much . Definitely a venue I would return too for quality food and good value.

We booked a table for my birthday, we were well attended to, the menu is small but caters for all tastes. very friendly and proactive waiters, the place was packed I believe by people working in the offices around. As it is summer, the lounge was very hot, perhaps it is necessary to add air conditioning to improve the atmosphere.

Exceptional Italian food with incredibly warm and courteous staff. We had the Big Lucio ("Eat like an Italian") which gave us a taste of dishes across the menu, including the centrepiece dish of "Suckling Pig Shoulder Al Forno", which was perfectly tender and flavoursome with a delicious crispy crackling skin. Each part of our meal, from starter to drinks, were tended to by a whole team of professional staff, with the wonderful front of house Paulo ensuring we were being looked after at all times. We will certainly be coming back to Osteria Lucio, and we will be bringing friends and family for sure.

Phenomenal! This is one of the best places I've ever eaten. We did the "Big Lucio" tasting menu and it was fantastic. The food was delicious and plentiful, almost too much. Staff was wonderful and helpful throughout the evening. It couldn't have been a better experience.

I went to Osteria Lucio for an office lunch and I must say that their service, ambiance and food were just so good. Their staff is very gentle towards their customers. For starters we ordered Arancini Cacio e Pepe, Gambero al Forno, both of which tasted delicious. The Gambero al Forno consists of two Jumbo Prawns, spiced garlic butter, crostini with 'nduja (like a bread with sauce on top). Its not spicy and has a very mild flavour to it. The prawn 🦐 was cooked so well soft buttery and juicy. Next up for main course, we ordered Two pizza sourdoughs- Apis and Juba. Apis a sweet and spicy pizza whereas Juba is a cheesy, tomato and basil based pizza. Tasted delicious again! One of us ordered the suckling pig shoulder al for-no which serves 2 people. Tasted yum he said! Some of us ordered their lasagna, however not everyone loved it. The meat seemed well cooked but the lasagna inside was very watery. Some more salt to it would have made it taste better. Pro tip: Order something you're a 100% sure of. If not, there could be a chance that the staff would approach and ask you for a reason why the dish was not fully eaten.

Wonderful food. The seafood pasta dish was amazing, rich flavor, well presented and delicious. The ravioli had a small portion. But a great place to wine and dine!

Good food. Friendly staff but not as attentive as I wished them to be. Their portion was large and fulfilling. I will visit again next time I am in town.

Always a pleasure to go for a nice dinner at Osteria Lucio. Staff is friendly (we had a very good waiter from Venezuela last time we went) and always providing good advices. Food is really good with quality products. I can't recommend specific products as they are all quite nice. The atmosphere of the restaurant is also very nice with a main room that looks like an old wine cellar and an outside area protected from the rain/cold. Try booking before going as it can be quite packed.

Went there for a birthday dinner was an amazing experience. Food was great and service was amazing too. Recommend the set menu option as it gives you a lot and it’s a great price per person. Definitely would go back in a heart beat and is a must for anyone wanting good Italian food in Dublin

Impeccably friendly service throughout. The dishes are tasty and served in generous portions. If you’re particularly famished, the “Dine like a Real Italian” menu is a must-try. The setting is pleasant and cosy, with the occasional rumble of the DART passing overhead, as the restaurant sits beneath Grand Canal Dock DART station.

Spectacular establishment with the added bonus of the really creative atmosphere created by the location with about half the restaurant built under an old, but very much active, train rail bridge. Exposed brick, the sounds and vibrations from the trains passing overhead, never seen anything like it. On top of these great things, the food and service was top notch, ingredients were extremely fresh and high quality, the preparations and presentations excellent. We went for lunch, which I understand is only offered maybe one day a week? So much fun, so delicious, really an awesome place.

I thought the waitstaff were the nicest I have had the pleasure meeting in a long time. Well done guys. You made our evening. The suckling pig was fabulous 👌 . Everything in fact was great. 5 * from me. We will be back.

From the appetizers to the main courses, everything was delicious. They clearly invest a lot of time in ensuring all the ingredients work together. I Will come back 🔙

Food was amazing. Service was good too and only issue was as I am gluten free, they brought our two starters which we were sharing with gf bread so my partner ordered flat bread which waiter forgot to order and he had to wait for it to arrive before he could eat his starter so he ate that alone as I couldn’t wait! Lol Mozzarella with the warm peach was a great combo, and the prawn starter also so good! However, the starter prices are very high! I had the chicken as gf option on pasta was dried pasta which didn’t fancy. The gravy with this was yummy! My partner had the monk fish. We shared a tomato salad which was only tomatoes so not what I expected. The polenta fries were great although it was either these (cross contamination) or maybe the Baileys that gave me an awful upset tummy a few hours later?! I am not coeliac, only gluten intolerant so this does happen to me when I eat out from time to time as my tummy is sensitive. We both enjoyed these mains and the fries. Dessert was the Panna cotta was was so tasty!! Meal for two with no drinks except the one Baileys was €140 so not cheap for two and had we been drinking it would’ve been nearer €200!

Great Italian restaurant!!! The pizza is amazing. They have a very good oven so all the food have a great taste. All plates are set very nicely and service is outstanding. The atmosphere is very nice at all times.

This place is absolutely amazing in every way- The service, the wine, and most importantly the FOOD were all excellent! I am so confused by any negative reviews saying anything other than this being a 5 star experience. I did not have a reservation (just me dining) but they were able to accommodate me right in the middle of dinner service. The staff were all very helpful with recommendations since it was my first time. The burrata appetizer is next level… perfect taste, textures… divine! My ‘nduja pasta was also fresh, flavorful, and PERFECTLY cooked. So sad I am visiting from the US and don’t have this at my doorstep!

N

Completely exceeded my expectations. Everything we ordered was excellent and elevated, portions were generous. Pizza, suckling pig, and burrata dishes were standouts. Even the drinks were great. Pearlini! (Bellini with roasted pear puree) Service was casual and personable, staff seemed very friendly and happy.

Italian food done Right!!!! Pasta was perfectly al dente, veg was fresh with the right balance of spice without losing the beauty of the fresh produce. Selection is very good and there are good choices for all from carnivore to vegan Osteria has you covered. Downside without reservation we were almost turned out, however as we didn't mind a bit of a wait with a beverage we still could be accommodated. Recommend reservation as this place can, even on a mid-week visit be packed.

Really chic Italian restaurant located in the tunnel under a train bridge. Theround ceilings and occasional sound of trains overhead adds to this unique location. Aside from the underground feel and chic decor the restaurant serves amazing, fresh Italian food. The food comes out hot and quick. Every dish has something different and unique to order. Definitely try the pepper toast with nduja. It's a unique flavor with a little kick! And if all of that wasn't reason enough to love Lucio's the wait staff is incredibly friendly!

There is not enough stars to rate this place…simply amazing. Fresh, full of taste and colours. Chef knows what he is doing and what is he mixing to get best results. A must to visit when you in Dublin

Great place with good food, nice staff and a good price also. The food was amazing, super recommended if you are looking for a Italian place. The food was so good that I forgot to take photos hehe 😅 The restaurant it’s very nice on the inside and the outside are is enclosed with glass and warm, so don’t let the winter scare you.

Dined twice in a row cos food and ambiance were really good. Great for date nights and convos over food with friends.

K

The food was excellent and the service kind. The restaurant is under the train tracks but don't let that put you off! You can hardly hear the train passing overhead and I think that actually adds to the charm and uniqueness of the place. The ceiling is arches and the whole place gives a classy vibe. Splendid for a treat date with a loved one.

Had the sharing dinner for four at €65 per head plus service. It was excellent. Each course was great, and I have every intention of going back for more of the same. The wine was from the good shelf, 2006 Col D'Orcia Brunello. Glad I wasn't picking up the tab. Damn fine olive oil came with it, too. Mosto Oro. I checked it out online. Retails at €40+ a litre!!

Today we went for the first time and we absolutely loved the vibe of the place and the food — everything was delicious. We were served by Alessandro, who was super attentive and made sure we had a great time. He also recommended the mousse for dessert, which was spectacular. Thank you, Alessandro — we’ll definitely be back.

Hidden away, its nice for a romantic dinner. Decor and ambiance are really good. Service very good. Friendly. Cured meats & Parmigiano starter great. Pizza delicious. Milanese not so much. Pear desert very good. The disappointing element was the bill. Charged a different price to the menu for the milanese. Was changed when it was pointed out. No explanation other than an apology. Hope that was a one off.

F
Fatih Güven

I would definitely recommend pizza, tiramisu and lemon panna cotta. In general, tastes are great, but the portions are really small for such a pricey restaurant. Staff is really friendly and helpful. They have a wide variety of Italian wines in the wine menu.

Nice interior and good food. The staff were very attentive and friendly, though their frequent refills sometimes interrupted the conversation. A slightly more relaxed approach would make the experience much more enjoyable.

Wonderful intimate restaurant. Service was delightful. Food is quite nice but starters are far too expensive and I think you can get better Italian food elsewhere in Dublin. Would recommend, but forewarning, it is expensive!!

We had a very average experience here. The salmone marinate was great but our mains (lasagne and seafood pasta) were just good. For the price we expected a bit more. We sat outside which was a bit cold so bundle up! Maybe it is a bit nicer of an environment to sit inside. Staff was really nice and gave recommendations.

E
Elhanan Melichson

Every thing we ordered was absolutely delishes. Only reason I gave 4 stars is because we found it a bit pricy. The service was also fantastic and very lovely atmosphere

S
Samer Naffah

Really nice and cozy restaurant. The burrata was excellent, along with the focaccia bread. The same goes for the carpaccio—the starters were a delight. Moving on to the sausage lasagna, it was tasty and well-balanced. The crab tagliatelle, however, was average. As for dessert, the tiramisu was disappointing—too much cream and an excessive amount of cocoa powder on top. The service was attentive, perhaps too much so. We weren’t given the option to choose between tap water and bottled water (which cost €6). On top of that, the waiter kept refilling our glasses every five minutes.

J
Jennifer Andrea Woites

Portions are good and tasty. I was expecting something more from the dishes though considering they have a Michelin star. Tiramisu is great. We had to wait just for a bit for our table and the bar wasn't opened so we couldn't get cocktails on our table, I guess this is a special case due to Covid. The place is quite noisy without all the tables being full so I guess in normal circumstances, the level of noise is even worst. Service was good and polite.

I like this restaurant but they don’t have pizza anymore and they change the menu very often. I used to like few dishes before but they don’t have them anymore. The food has a good quality but an Italian place without pizza makes me choose other options.

A

A beautiful restaurant in a historic space. Highly recommend the prosciutto and Parmesan as a starter. We assumed the parpardelle would be a typical ragu with sauce, but other than the meat and pasta it was a bit dry. Food was flavorful overall and the service was fantastic.

We had a great time at Osteria Lucio. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that the portions are a bit on the small side but the price isn’t. The food was good, the cocktail was good, service was great (Emily was a great waitress) but yes, the pizza is considerably smaller than what you can find in any other good pizza joint in the city (or in Italy). We still recommend and we’d still definitely go back but next time we’ll try the pasta 🙂 The restaurant itself is beautiful too.

E
Elise Tellier

The calzone was one of the best I've ever had, delicious! The panceta pizza is good, well made dough and ingredients of quality. Pasta are good too but overpriced: more than 20€, better come for pizzas. Staff is very nice, fancy restaurant, I recommend it.

H
Hossein Abbasi (Drjacky)

Nice staff; he was explaining different items on the menu patiently + Messina Spritz was so-so + Lucio Spritz wasn't good + Basilico was really delicious + Lasagna was good but scarce + Al Forno Special was okay; the outside meat was more delicious than the inside meat; you could still find fresh blood and kind of raw meat; The side potatoes were really good + The table was reserved for a birthday party and it was explained in detail (like I provided a birthday song link) when I reserved it but, when we entered, they exposed that there are more guest upcoming and ruined the surprise; Also, no special thing (desert with a candle, birthday song, etc) from the house + Nice interior design and lighting + No interesting desert on the menu

S
Stijo M

Nice ambience and very nice food. We ordered the 3 course lunch. The options are same as most of the places. The dessert was the best. I think i found the best tiramisu in the town.

My husband and I came here on a Sunday night before a show at the Bord Gais theatre, it was very crowded but we had a reservation which I would recommend getting. We started with the focaccia and olive dip which was absolutely amazing, best focaccia I’ve ever had. I ordered the rigatoni with burrata and pesto, and my husband got the gnocchi. Our service was absolutely amazing, but the food itself we found that the portions were a bit small and left us still hungry afterward as both the appetiser and pasta dishes were not very big. Overall I would recommend this place

G
Grace Chen

I had heard pretty good things about this place but was quite disappointed. For the price you expect significantly above average quality food but in reality, nothing tasted memorable. Pizza was ok but nothing worth over €15 for. Pea and crab risotto was very underwhelming and duck ragu pasta didn’t have the gamey flavour depth that you would expect. Wine wasn’t served at right temperature and service wasn’t great, the staff were a bit tense and unwelcoming. Wouldn’t go back.

Z
Zayd

Atmosphere and design is super cool, but menu and actual flavour was nothing special compared to other Italian restaurants in the area. We had a question about the ingredients in one dish due to some of our dietary restrictions, but the waiter got super annoyed and aggressively told us to "Google it" which I would've been happy to do except for the fact that you can't get any reception when sitting inside! Overall, not a pleasant experience or the taste for the price point. Wouldn't recommend.

It was my first meal in Ireland, but unfortuately, I wasn't happy with it. First of all, there were only two water options either still or sparkling. the server didn't ask me if i wanted tap water. If I already had been to another restaurant there, I would've known to ask for tap water. But, at that time, I didn't know that i could have tap water instead. To make things worse, the price for water was outrageous: 6 euros for a bottle of still water! When it comes to the food, the taste was not that bad, although The coriander flavor was far too strong for my liking. Given that I personally hate coriander, I can let it slide anyhow. What really disappointed me was the portion of seafood. I expected something like the seafood pasta shown in another review, but mine looked completely different. As you can see in my photo, you can barely find the seafood in the pasta. even if you zoom in, you will only see a few bits of minced crab and tiny pieces of squid. In my opinion, i felt like there was more coriander than seafood. They might as well rename it "Coridander Pasta (with a hint of seafood).

A
Amer Al Saleh

We went there for a casual dinner. The manager didn’t even greet us. When asked for still water the brought the bottled one (6euros) without asking if we like tap instead. The lemon garlic shrimps were very soft, which suggests that they were over marinated for quite some time. The staff simply doesn’t care, always in a hurry despite the restaurant not being in full capacity, we had to ask for everything (salt, pepper, olive oil), when they cleaned the table they left our used napkins on our table despite being clearly set aside to be discarded and didn’t bother getting us new ones. Ravioli was over cooked and super soft. The manager didn’t even show up to say hi or ask us about our meal, instead he was chatting with staff. In fact no one checked how is the food, do we need anything, do we want to eat more or do you want to see the desert menu. At certain moments, no one was minding the hall, everyone was either on the counter waiting for the plate, on the POS or chatting with the manager or each other. The portions were extremely small to the price offered. The bread and the side salad were surprisingly good and the tiramisu as well. Still 7 euros for two pieces of bread and a tiny dip is a rip off. This place used to serve the best pizza in the area but they cancelled that 2 years ago, at least that what the waitress told me condescendingly when I asked about it as if I am supposed to know. Even the service was amazing during its Michelin guide era. We left a very small tip, so we had to go and take our own coats. Not going there again, save your money and go somewhere else
