The staff are absolutely incredible- I have never ever known service like it! I made a mistake and booked too late and all of the seating was full downstairs, they tried their hardest to get us downstairs. The male who served us when we were sat was absolutely amazing! My partner said it was the best meal he’d ever had too and he loves his food! This place was just incredible, we are here in Dublin from England for 2 days and we definitely picked the perfect place. It’s the kind of place you can wear a shirt and jeans or really dress up! I loved it here, it felt very warm and relaxed. Thank you so much to all of the incredible staff, I cannot praise you enough!
started with the Beer-Battered Halloumi, which was delicious, but it couldn’t quite compete with the incredible flavor of the 14-Hour Cooked Irish Beef Cheek. The beef was unbelievably tender, full of depth, and truly melt-in-your-mouth perfection. The atmosphere was amazing. The staff were supper friendly, and really made the whole dining experience feel special.
I work in the airline business and travel frequently. Today I was looking to have a pint, a bite and enjoy a great atmosphere. Urban Brewery did not disappoint. Alejandra the bartender was very kind, attentive, and had great recommendation on the menu. The food was great, beer was fantastic and service amazing. Thank you Alejandra for the great service. I will return again when in Dublin. Thank you Alejandra for the great experience! Cheers! Please do yourself a favor and head downstairs. Beautiful, amazing, experience it’s a must. Please don’t leave until you do so. Thank you for reading.
We came to Dublin to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary as well as Thanksgiving. We dined here for our Thanksgiving meal and had the christmas set dinner menu. The food was fabulous! We enjoyed the atmosphere as well as the service (Kevin was a sweetie). We loved the music and upbeat ambiance, but I will say it is a bit loud- as a warning for folks that do not like that type of atmosphere. When we come back to Dublin, this will be a must!
I had dinner downstairs, at a truly elegant venue. The decor is very warm and inviting, creating an atmosphere that makes you feel incredibly comfortable. The food was delicious. We opted for tapas and several cocktails. It was a 100% recommended experience! The service was fantastic. Agustín was in charge of our table and served us with great professionalism. If you are in Dublin, I highly recommend setting aside a day to visit this place.
Went to celebrate a friend’s graduation and it’s was absolutely amazing. The place is beautifully decorated for Christmas and it feels very cozy. Andrea was serving us and he was super nice and helpful, the food was delicious, same as the selection of wines and drinks. They were very kind to add people to the booking and even take us earlier so would definitely recommend.
I had an amazing experience thanks to our server, Andrea. Everything came out exactly as he described it; spot on from start to finish. He recommended the best beer and the perfect tapas to go with it, and every choice was a hit. Andrea was attentive and absolutely polished to the top. Truly exceptional service. Highly recommended!
We went here twice in one day. We went around lunchtime for casual drinks and ended going back for supper in the downstairs space. The restaurant upstairs is a very typical high end microbrewery but the downstairs space is beautiful. Everything we ate here was great. The steak, the breads and dip, the crisp potatoes were all very tasty and I would highly recommend!
Such a gorgeous place! First time being here after hearing a lot about it and it’s so fab. We were here for an occasion and we got loads of different plates between us and everything was so good. The Lugh cocktail was divine 😮💨 Andrea was looking after us and the service was amazing and he was so great, thanks so much for a great night. Will defo be back! 🤩
What an incredible find! We came here on accident and what a happy accident it was! The food, superb! Atmosphere, excellent. Kevin our waiter was top notch! This was the best accident you’ve ever had! I forgot to take a picture before we had our first bites—-The mushroom risotto was so good, that’s why there is a picture of an empty plate! 10/10
Here is a possible elegant and romantic review of a restaurant: Review I had the pleasure of dining at this restaurant and the experience was simply unforgettable. The environment, with attention to detail, envelops guests in an intimate and refined atmosphere, perfect for a romantic evening. The soft lighting, the never intrusive background music and the elegance of the furnishings create a harmonious balance that conquers from the first moment. The service is impeccable: attentive, courteous and never intrusive. Each course is presented with taste and told with passion, enhancing the highest quality ingredients. The dishes are a triumph of balanced flavours, sought after without being excessive, and accompanied by an extraordinary selection of wines. A place where time seems to slow down and every detail helps to make the evening special. Highly recommended for those who want to enjoy an elegant, romantic and memorable dining experience. If you want, I can customize the review with the name of the restaurant, menu details or a different tone! Andrea Capitano one the best service Manager.
Awesome brewery with some pretty good tastes and a unique sub-area you need to book in advance for. Otherwise a great place for brunch. Staff is very very kind and helping, Than you Anna! 😊 Even though we haven't had a reservation we grabbed brunch/lunch at the upper floor. Dishes were filling and very tasty. It's a short walk from the spire and even shorter from the Poverty Monument. On better days there is also outside sitting.
This was our first Dublin restaurant and we loved it! It was also our 7 year wedding anniversy and we couldn't have picked a better spot! We loved the food so much and the drinks were great! Kevin was our server and he did an excellent job! We really appreciated him and the service we recieved! And the atmosphere was so amazing as well. We just loved everything! Thanks Kevin!
We were a group of six and we had New Year’s Eve lunch. The atmosphere was amazing. What a great place to eat and spend time. Food was delicious. Staff was professional, helpful and friendly.
I came for a short stay in Dublin and have been here twice in 2 days. Lunch on the patio and dinner in their downstairs dining. Both were excellent experiences. Lunch was the steak sandwich and sticky toffee pudding which was delicious. I would rate my dinner experience here as a top one to remember. I had the duck with an endive salad and their dark chocolate delice for dessert. And it was a meal to make a tired tourist a very happy camper. I would recommend this to anyone, resident or traveler.
Clean and well kept location Very tasty food, tried a few Kind and friendly staff Good music, volume and playlist
We had a great time for a company party. A very beautiful place, fantastic atmosphere, food and beers! A special thank to Andrea whose experience made the difference.
I had the pleasure of attending a corporate dinner at Urban Brewing in Dublin, organized by my fiancé’s manager. The event brought together a group of 24 professionals from around the world. Our evening was made exceptional thanks to Kevin, who provided impeccable service throughout. He demonstrated great professionalism, attention to detail, and genuine courtesy. From efficiently managing a large group to ensuring that every guest felt personally attended to, Kevin handled everything with remarkable grace and competence. I wholeheartedly recommend Urban Brewing and commend Kevin for his outstanding service.
Everything was very good, excellent service, and delicious food! The waiter, Kevin, was very good and knowledgeable about everything! A very positive experience.
Gorgeous food and ambience! Kevin was great and gave us an amazing wine recommendation. Will certainly be returning when we visit Dublin next!
Thank you for your beautiful service Kevin! Restaurant is so nice and cosy , staff over all is so kind
Andrea, the waiter, has been very familiar and has really made the difference. Food and beer and wine are wonderful here. Incredible architecture of the ancient building made it a fantastic night.
Andrea, thanks for the best service! Food and drinks were amazing, the heritage is adorable. Strongly recommend this place 😃

Great experience , lovely place, great food, fantastic staff…. Do you need anything else ?
I have I IMPRESSIVE experience at the restaurant I was with my friend and we literally LOVED the food We order 5 starters and 2 deserts but I 100% recommend the beef sliders that was just on point flavours, texture everything just perfect. I order for myself the tartar that come on top of a toasted bread, the steak is well seasoned and the cheese on top make a massive difference The “cheese rolls” where very hot and the sweet honey on top is incredible I order the house maid beer to try and is very good beer, has a strong flavour a little sweet touch in the end I really appreciated And to finish two deserts that unfortunately I don’t remember the names but where amazing The pineapple suffle with coconut where awesome and the biscuit was very crunch And the ice cream with red berry’s sauce have the perfect combination of sweetness and bitterness I recommend 100% the place and I am definitely coming back again
Food was absolutely amazing! The setting is very cool and unique. Our server, Andrya, was wonderful. He always made sure our drinks were full and took the time to speak with us even though the place was packed. Def recommend checking this place out when in Dublin.
We had a great experience, got here right around 1 for lunch, seemed a little early to go to their downstairs/cellar-like area but they managed to get us down with Ignacio and he took such great care of us. Was so sweet and attentive. He made sure we were well taken care of during the entirety of our lunch. Such a delightful gentleman. Everything was a 10/10.
This place was a great find on our trip to Ireland. Everything we tried was delicious and it has me wishing I was a local so I could come here for every special event. Thalia was our server and she made us feel welcome even with our jetlagged brains causing us all to feel like we were slow while ordering. I highly recommend this restaurant
The food was really good and so is the atmosphere. A nice and unique experience. We had Luis as our server. Very nice guy and did a great job! Couldn’t tell he’s new to the job.
Started with the beer tour, including tastings of 4 current offerings. Really interesting and very tasty beers. Stayed for dinner and that really enhanced the experience. Great food in a really lovely converted basement warehouse. We were then given our own area to chill after dinner. Great spot!
Our guide Roald was really impressive, he was passionate about his work and explained a lot. I loved all of the beers, even though I'm normally only a fruit beer drinker, but I liked all of them. It was also a very beautifull place.
A lovely setting for an evening meal. The atmosphere was perfect and the restaurant downstairs is beautiful and unique. Andreas our waiter was very attentive and always had a smile on his face and service was quick. We had the tapas dishes, very tasty from beef sliders to calamari. Would definitely come back
This is a very history rich location and they do a great job at letting everyone know it. The setting of the underground cavern was created using only stone, steel, and brick to help prevent fires from breaking out among the cooperage that used to be stored down there in the 1800s. The food was delicious, and the staff were super friendly but I dont believe the 3 course meal was worth €50 a person given the portioned sizes. The mojito shown below was to amazing.
Urban Brewing. Beautiful location and a promising menu, but the experience didn’t fully deliver. Some dishes were great, others underwhelming. Service lacked warmth, and the surprise charges on the bill left a bad aftertaste. I visited Urban Brewing today with a friend, drawn in by the carefully curated and varied menu that gave off the impression of natural, high-quality cooking. Overall, the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. We ordered a snack (selection of house-made dips) and three tapas: the endive salad, grilled seabream, and battered halloumi. We also shared the ribeye steak. 🔸 The dips were interesting but inconsistent. The spiced hummus had a nice kick, but the actual chickpea flavor was barely there. The tomato and black olive dip was more successful — bold and flavorful (especially if you’re a fan of olives like I am). The third, which I believe was butternut squash with cheese, lacked flavor intensity and had a slightly lumpy texture. Honestly, the last two felt more like side dishes than spreadable starters. 🔸 The endive salad was one of the highlights — great crunch from the walnuts, nice contrast with the goat cheese and blood orange, all served in little endive “spoons”. However, the lower leaves were barely dressed, which made the dish feel a bit incomplete. 🔸 The seabream was fresh and well cooked, paired nicely with tomato, olives, and capers. A good portion size for a tapa. 🔸 The battered halloumi was a letdown — too heavy. Thick slices of cheese plus the batter made it overly filling, and we couldn’t finish it. Disappointingly, they don’t offer takeaway for leftovers, which meant perfectly good food went to waste. 🔸 The ribeye steak was tender and cooked to perfection. Great touch with the sauce on the side!— one of the best parts of the meal. ❌ Where the experience really soured was with the bill: nearly €8 for a bottle of water and over €13 added as a “service charge”, which we were not informed about. On top of that, I’ve just noticed we were overcharged on the starter. The staff weren’t particularly warm or communicative either, which didn’t help. 💭 Final thoughts: Urban Brewing has clear culinary potential, and there are dishes I’d still like to try! — but the lack of transparency, food waste, and underwhelming service made this visit fall short of expectations.
I wouldn’t go back to this place unfortunately. The staff were very nice and the atmosphere was cool, but our food took 2 whole hours. We sat at 7:15 and left at 9:50. We got the calamari and it tasted rubbery and was a very small portion. Since ordering, none of the staff came to check on us/our food until an hour and a half of it not arriving. When it came, it was fine, but not worth the price. The steak was bland and kind of greyish color. The chicken had an overpowering spice to it and was vinegary. For a €280 dinner, this is not what I would have expected. I have been to many restaurants around Dublin and this was the most expensive and the worst. Really wanted to enjoy this place!
