They were awesome. The waitress was great and attentive. I want to say there was only one yesterday (3/23) but our beverages were full, the food is as one can expect and the view was great. Very open and very spaced out
First time going, we had a friendly waitress, lots of menu choices, great view of Lake Erie from our booth. The food was fine. Planning to go back soon.
My partner and I came here recently. It's so good. There are a ton of veggie options, the food is super tasty and flavorful. The service was fast and the wait staff are super friendly and nice. I highly recommend this spot. It's a super cute, super tasty place. Definitely some.of the best greek food I have ever had.
Was a great place to stop, sad to see them close.
Plenty of parking, easy access to the building if handicapped. They have great views. Good selection of food ranging from breakfast, to lunches and dinners. Food is good and was delivered hot. Servers were friendly and took care of you whether or not it was their table. Would definitely recommend.
This place should have been busier!! For being right on the water, with great outdoor seating space, I'm surprised there wasn't a wait to get in! I had the chicken souvlaki dinner that was outstanding. My husband had a hot roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy. He said it was the best roast beef he's ever had!! We will be back.
It was beautiful right on the lake but with plenty of shade if that's what you're looking for. The food was excellent which surprised me. I got the special beer battered perch and fries. It was perfectly crispy without being to greasy and dense. The fries were delightful. Overall can't wait to go back 😄
Amazingly Great place. Laid back European style interior atmosphere and a modern sleek outdoor patio overlooking the piers in the Lake. THE BEST PART IS THE STAFF, they are great to attend and friendly. We were there for lunch with kids and were taken care of nicely. Food was fresh - Good portion size - Delicious.
Great location by the Dunkirk pier. Friendly staff, though, seemed to be understaffed. The food was delicious. I had broiled perch with Greek potatoes. My mother had broiled haddock and said it was a bit dry.' Yellow jackets were relentless. Otherwise, we would've remained on the outdoor deck enjoying a beautiful summer evening. Definitely recommend if you're in the neighborhood.
The staff was very nice and the food was good! There was a bit of a wait and one of the kitchen stuff came out to apologize for the wait because he just started a few days ago, which was ok. We understand how it is starting a new position so it didn't bother us one bit! Thank you for serving us! My son did love his Mac cheese btw lol.
Everyone here is so delightful from the owner to all the staff. The food is always so delicious and you couldn't ask for a better location right on the water. Highly recommend 👍👍👍
We were a party of 9 for dinner on Monday August 16, 2021. Most people had the batter fried fish dinner and everyone really liked it. One had the shrimp dinner and liked it. Kensie was our waitress and did an excellent job. The 2 for $22.00 price for dinners was nice too It was our last dinner all together because it was the end of the vacation for some. Thanks to all for delicious dinners for all !!
Family luncheon 10 of us. Great food, wonderful service, friendly atmosphere.. very happy with our choice of restaurant! Highly recommend 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀!
I had some traditional Greek food here. The stuffed grape leaves and spanikopita were wonderful. Server was pleasant. Location is wonderful for a walk on the Pier. Outside seating is available.
New owner. Service is great and friendly. Food is all fresh ingredients. The gyro is flavorful. Atmosphere is very clean and nice views overlooking lake erie and boardwalk.
Greek food, like no other place. Friendly staff. So much food we had second meal
Raven was our server, and she was a breath of fresh air. We really enjoyed her service and her kindness. The food was very enjoyable, though I got something I didn't care for. She took that away without issue and offered me a menu if I wanted something else, instead. I opted to have a bowl of the seafood chowder. Delicious!! And the mozzarella sticks... two thumbs up. Those were the bomb!! If we ever travel back to this area, we will stop in again. Thank you, Raven. You were one of our most favorite experiences on our long trip back home.
Well this was an unexpected pleasant surprise. We had the Mediterranean Style broiled fish and it was excellent. At the base was a perfectly cooked, tender and juicy piece of haddock. It was topped with sautéed spinach, onions, tomatoes, and feta cheese. Included was a house salad which was fresh and crisp, and tasty mashed potatoes. Even the coleslaw was delicious. Service was excellent and the view was lovely. Don't let the exterior fool you, this is worth the visit.
We took my father out for Easter Sunday Lunch today. Everything was terrific. I called 2x for info and reservations and the phone people were very kind and helpful. The facility was very wheelchair accessible. Our server "Gramma" was excellent. We were a bit of a needy crew and she did a great job with us all!! We will definitely be back🙂
We booked the banquet space and menu for my sister's funeral reception. The staff was welcoming, respectful, and responsive to all our needs. I was very pleased with the service and would highly recommend this banquet facility.
Loved dinner at Demetri's On the Lake. No wait for a table on the deck, and we only saw three bees / yellow jackets despite the heads up from our hostess. Mackenzie took care of our drinks right away and gave us time to peruse the ample menu and daily specials. That of course compelled me to go overboard with food, but I loved every bit of it. Started with their loaded potato soup, then had the Wednesday Wings Special, ten for $5.00. (You MUST order wings when you're this close to Buffalo. It's written into the New York State constitution. Look it up.) My son beat me to the punch ordering the Buffalo Tator Tots, but that didn't stop me from getting my own. The menu has TONS of options, especially if you like Greek food like souvlaki and moussaka. I was tempted, but opted for the fried scallops, which tasted even better looking out over Lake Erie. My son had the Texan Burger with Onion Rings, BBQ sauce, tomatoes and lettuce. My wife and daughter are less adventurous and went with very generous helpings of chicken fingers and fries, but we all walked away with leftovers for tomorrow. It was just what the doctor ordered after a 7 1/2 hour drive with sporadic torrential downpours. Now, I'm going to drift into a food coma and dream of hot wings and sticky fingertips while the Mets spank the Braves in Atlanta.
We had a really nice time here and a positive experience. The food and service were both very good (although the burger was overcooked, it was still edible!) We got a table on the deck but in the shade and the views are great! We will definitely come back!
I was recently in town for a wrestling tournament and chose this delightful place for lunch. My gf and I had a great time. The food was amazing and our waitress was so friendly. We decided that we're going to take a road trip this summer. We would love to see this place in the summer
We met friends for brunch before our flight home. The Mediterranean omelet was wonderful. The sourdough toast was excellent. Hubby ordered the club and it was HUGE! He couldn't eat it all. Overall great food. Would definitely recommend.
I really like this place. I've been here several times, and the food is always great, and the portions are ample. However, the last two times I was there, there was only one waitress - and probably only one cook - working. The poor girl was actually running between tables, and from the kitchen to the tables. She was doing a good job, and was very friendly, but service could have been better because she was the only waitress. This was not her fault. There was a slight problem with the doneness of one of the food items (not cooked to order), but, because she was so busy, she never checked back to see how things were. Please pay to put additional staff on during dinner. There were a lot of takeout orders, too, and Doordash was showing up for food delivery, so it appears that they're doing well, but one waitress and one cook cannot do it all effectively. This place does have great food, though. For me, especially noted, are the fries, which have some kind of coating on them-so good! The wings are large and flavorful, and my favorite thing on the menu is their rice pudding. The best I've ever had. Get the whipped cream on it and have it warmed up. Phenomenal. Very good Greek restaurant, for the most part.
Food was good once it was made properly. Our group had good fried haddock & good fried shrimp and scallops. Side dishes ..baked potato & coleslaw were very good. Greek salads were also very fresh & good. Waitress was wonderful.
The staff seemed harried and short with one another ( family?) but most strove to be great with customers. Service was slow, but the deck was pleasant and the entertainment very good, but too loud. Open gyros and the baklava I took home for guests were great.
Food was way better than we thought it would be but took a very long time to be served. Server was nice but very slow to bring each thing ordered, likely not her fault prob more the kitchen. Waited over 30 minutes for our appetizer once ordered, and another 30 after that for our meal.
Everything we've eaten there has been great! No complaints at all. There is a wait for your food at busier times, however the wait is worth it! It is a little more difficult when we bring our grandkids but we were able to occupy them by letting them go out onto the deck to look at the boats on the lake.
Great waitress. food was meh, nothing special. My husband had a burger and cheesecake and ended up sick all day. Place feels dirty. Between the flies, dirty Windows, and very old plastic table cloths outside. I expected more from this place because it is on the lake and has a good view.
Food was pretty decent, I had corned beef hash with poached eggs. The eggs came out harder than I would have liked (I asked for them soft) and swimming in a bowl of water. The toast was cold and hard Everything, from getting a table through to getting out meals was very slow and they were not at all busy. It's in a very nice setting though!
Good location and nice ambiance. Food was low quality but abundant. Disappointing.
I was recommended this place by a business associate. The views and location were amazing. The gyro was okay. The menus were sticky/dirty. They served wines like Sutter Home for 5.50 a glass so needless to say I stuck with water. Overall it has great potential but I wouldn't recommend it for the food only the views. It had heavy Greek vibes with 3 younger Greek girls talking loudly of girls with mustaches etc up at the bar.. I imagine it's family owner and operated. Come to think about it the place was recommended by a guy so I can image this is why he liked the place.. The girls. It was loud inside. 3 stars for the views, location, nice waitress, and the building. Food and cleanliness not so much. I attached a pic from my booth of the deck.
I will give 5 stars for food which was great as always. The owners needs to hire more help however. A busy Saturday & 2 waitresses doing it all is crazy. Between seating, setting tables, taking orders then delivering orders it takes long time . 2 waitresses, that I know are always splendid had hard time keeping up. Customers wanting to be served, having waitress check if needed could not happen. NEED TO HIRE MORE HELP. on loose customers.
Service good; food ok. Salad that came with Souvaki was good with the Greek dressing and feta cheese, but the beef was over cooked and dry. I brought home rice pudding and baklava home to share with husband. He didn't care for either. This place could be a gold mine because it's right on Lake Erie. But the food needs improvement. I might add that there were very few people there.
Went here for the first time since living in Dunkirk with some friends. They said it's a great place. well, of the 4 of us, I had chicken fingers, others a Gyro, beef stroganoff, and a chicken souvlaki. Out of all our food, the chicken fingers were the best of them and also not as expected. Chicken Fingers- While hot when arriving to the table, the middle of the fingers were warm-ish and not well cooked in 2 of the 4. They were crispy as asked. fries were alright. for the price, i would have expected another finger and double the fries like other places I frequent. Gyro- Meat looked and felt dry. Like it was frozen and microwaved. arrived warm and was very rubbery. Would not even give it to a dog. Beef Stroganoff- Idk where to start. I've never seen a Beef Stroganoff with meatballs. It was barely warm when arrived to the table. "Not appetizing at all" is what my friend said. Chicken Souvlaki- Also not even warm when it came to the table. "Not edible" after she got it back from the kitchen. Before leaving, 3 of the dishes were taken off the bill. Appreciated given how the food was. Because of that, I will give them another try sometime. (and 3 stars)
First off, what an opportunity it is to run a restaurant in such a prime location. Dunkirk doesn’t have a lot, but it does have the pier—and that alone raises the bar. Frankly, Dunkirk deserves better. The food was mediocre at best—nothing I’d be excited to share or recommend to a friend. On a more positive note, the service was good; the staff were attentive and kind. Unfortunately, the atmosphere left much to be desired. The décor and lighting felt straight out of the 1990s, with a tired and outdated look. Entering the restaurant from the street, we had to walk past the kitchen—and frankly, the smell was unpleasant. It was an instant turn-off. I understand how difficult it is to run a restaurant, especially these days. But maybe this just isn’t the right team for such a valuable space. The expectation for excellence at this location is high—and rightfully so. Please, do better.
Unfortunately this is some of the worst food I've had at a restaurant (besides the fries which were amazing). The patio is nice but while you can see the lake at the end, most diners are surrounded by parking lots and motor oil smell from the cars and boats. They were out of several of the dishes I wanted to order and the ones we did finally get were just loaded with cheese and had little flavor. We also saw a server-in-training being talked down to by the server training them.
The food is served in large portions at reasonable prices. I went on a busy Sunday during the lunch hour and received the experience that I expected; full dining room, timely service, good food. One thing that makes this restaurant stand out is the fact that if sitting at a window seat, you can look out at the pier/lake Erie while you eat. A very pleasant dining experience. After finishing my roast beef sandwich I left feeling full and satisfied.
The food, AMAZING- but stick with me,and the waitress also AMAZING. I would love to give them a 5 star review, however when I mentioned a food allergy, and asked if they could check an item on the menu (not everything just ONE item) the chef said "I don't have time to look through all that." So while I was able to work around that, if I hadn't been with family I would have gotten up and left. What an inconsiderate move for a restaurant with 6 people in the entire establishment.
Food tasteless, place looks rundown and could use a great scrub. No of our food had favor and wings weren't crispy. Insects fly around (not just 1 or 2) while we were trying to eat. Had to cover drinks, pinchers and food when we were eatting/drinking. Also when asked about the bill and the "gratuity" (aka tip included in bill and not told about) both waitresses act like they didn't know what that was. One didn't acknowledge and staffed looked miserable. I've heard plenty bad story's but wanted to not jump to conclusions. Well def. Won't go there every again, nor recommend anyone to go there. Better off going to one of the VFW bars or any pizza place.
I was told there was an owner change and everything was "better"...... Uh. No. Got there, waited over 12 min for anyone to even acknowledge we were sitting there. Although drinks came in a somewhat timely manner, the food did not. Even though waitress was pleasant, she didnt make herself overly avail to us. Had to ask for a cpl rolls because food ticket time was so long. Got 2 somewhat stale rolls. And no knife to put the butter on with!!!! Once food finally arrived.....pretty sure it was one of the smallest pcs of fish they had ever served, "greek" potatoes way undercooked and quite dry, mediocre tasting coleslaw. Chicken fingers we asked to have cut into small pcs as we had toddler with us....came out as thick strips.... Once meal was over, half of us left, another 11 min until waitress finally comes with bill...(only 1 other table filled at this point) Not once were we asked if our food was ok or basically checked on to see if anything needed. We purposely came when most of "fish fry" rush was dwindling so that ticket times wouldnt be so long but it clearly left any desire to return very mi-nute.... Kid friendly also lacked a bit, no booster seat offered, not sure if even avail. I only gave 2 stars because the waitress, although lacking in contact, was pleasant😒 Sorry to say but didnt pick up on the "change for the better" i waa expecting🤷
Croutons had mold on them. Waiter brought my bill with the charges for the salad I didn't touch and told him the 1st time he asked if everything was ok that I didn't want
Service and food delivery were extremely slow. Took over 45 minutes to get our appetizer - simple fried food The food is really average. Chicken tenders and french fries and cheese sticks are all better from your local wholesale club store. Cafeteria-quality fried food. Not bad but not good. Wonderful location but no reason to return.
While I've been here repeatedly, today was not a good experience. It took 15 minutes for them to make us a table for 6. Another 15 before drinks were ordered and a long time for the coffees, juice, and water to come. After 40 minutes we ordered our food. We watched a few other tables who arrived after us order food before we got the chance. We had no refills on drinks without flagging down the waitress. Even adding another water or 3rd table took a reminder 10 mm minutes later. Food came out after an hour and a half, but they forgot one meal, another was too cold to eat and got replaced, others dealt with the temperature. The waitress never came back to check on how the food was, maybe because we were starting to discuss at our table how hungry we were getting. To be clear, the restaurant was maybe 50% full and closer to 30% if you counted the outside seating. We ended up switching to different waitresses for coffee refills and service. Our main server never returned after the food and one we knew took over. We did get compensated (free-30%) off and since tips would have gone to the one who couldn't handle our drinks in a timely manner, I believe very limited tips were shared. My omelet was delicious, but it did not compensate for drink and food orders taking so long (to be collected) or the limited communication. Pretty sure the waitress hid from us, especially after she got upset with the returned meal and the slow final meal 2hrs). Some of my group had to pack up their food at the start to return home after 2hrs of being there. I'll be checking if the 2nd younger staff is working before I go again. Good food didn't trump poor table service or slow food.
Views are nice! Would not go back. Hot beef sandwich was tough sliced beef....not homemade as far as I could see. Husband's steak was overcooked. Complained about the hot beef....got 2 sorrys but that was it. Waitress took too long to serve us. She was nice just not on the ball
I went there because my husband wanted breakfast in the afternoon, unfortunately we were told they only serve breakfast during breakfast hours no exception. I was very surprised at the new menu prices. I wouldn't have minded paying a higher price but the portions were very VERY small. Just a heads up The prices have not been updated on Line. When I asked the server about specials she told us about one Sandwich and that was all. She didn't come to ask if everything was okay within a few minutes of delivering our food and I would have sent back my husband's dinner the Greek potatoes were ice cold. The next time my husband wants breakfast and I want souvlaki I will be driving to Tom's Family Restaurant in Irving.
We stopped mid Sunday afternoon. We sat outside to enjoy the nice day. Our original server was great, but left early due to not feeling well. She assured us we would be provided great service from the other server. She never came back to see if we needed anything. We weren't offered any additional beverages. WE had to get her attention for a container to take home leftovers. I had to hunt someone down to get one because she never came back. We even had to find her to get our bill!! They weren't busy! 2 additional tables outside and 1 table inside. Very disappointing.
Both our fish was under cooked and we were not able to eat, they took $ 3.00 off bill for food we couldn’t eat. We were warned not to go there but did anyway. Never again
This was quite disappointing. We got here at 5:40 we waited 10 mins before drink orders, there were only two other occupied tables with a combination of 6 other patrons in the restaurant. We didn't get food before 7:10! We had to request refills. The appetizer was soggy because of the grape leaves juice. Food was passable. The hamburgers were way overcooked and chewy. The tadziki sauce looked like they repacked someone's used container. The place is in disrepair and disorganized. We were driving thru and didn't see anything else open for a while when we looked it up. So we tried it. We would have been better off with fast food. Service was non-existent. $90 for a family of 4...no thank you. Growing up in a Greek area in Michigan, this was nothing of quality.
I came in on a whim with my boyfriend and ordered the open face sirloin sandwich and it was NOT it. The sirloin was the driest I've ever had in my life and they used canned mushrooms. Nothing was fresh and the peppers I ordered on the side you could tell were microwaved, no attempt to season with salt or pepper at the very least. Our server was decent but not very attentive as we had empty cups and plates stacked at the end of our table for quite some time. The trio of dips we ordered however were very good. This was our first time at Demitri's and probably my last. Ive heard good things about their wings so there may be a chance I come back for wing night or possibly try breakfast next time. Other then that i left very disappointed.
Tell you what......poor experience waiting to be seated.....poor experience waiting and waiting for food - only ordered a Reuben- place only had about 10 customers. Waitress was good. Sandwich was good, fries almost warm and just ok. Place could use a good bit of cleaning and much better welcoming attitudes from other personnel.
Horrible service! They were out of almost everything we ordered, but unfortunately, we didn’t know until well after we ordered. The waitress forgot to put it in our appetizer order and forgot our drinks. Another waitress was sitting at a table using cursive language (F$&@) while we were eating with our son. Terrible experience! Would never return or recommend! The owner/manager was instructing the waitress to come out and tell us they were out of almost everything we ordered, but he never came out to speak to us. I cannot believe this place is still in business with the service they provide as well as the lack of food and beverage available.
As a second time being there, it was the poorest experience I ever had. The server had no idea of what the menue offered. The strip steak was way over cooked. The mushrooms and onions tasted like liver. Was not served what the menue read for sides. Again this is twice over 4 months. Never again to go there. They need a new chef and better purchaser for the meats they serve. Absolutely thee worst ever.
This has got to be the most ridiculous experience I’ve ever had at a restaurant that I used to like. They closed the kitchen at 7:30. They turned some people away, but not others. The one waitress they had was rude. There were 5 employees behind the counter screwing around and acting inappropriately. The kid bussing tables was skipping through the restaurant and dancing around- it was extremely bizarre. It took them forever to bring our entire meals and the chicken finger wrap didn’t even have chicken in it. I’ll never go back which is a shame because the food is usually good.
Drove almost an hour, we hadn't been there in so long! They had a band outside the back door that was so loud you had to shout to be heard inside. We asked to be moved and they did move us further from the door, but the band was under the over hang and vibrated the windows. It took a long time to get our food. When it did come it was not hot, the waitress was not attentive at all.we had to hold up our coffee cups to get someone's attention for a refill. Never asked how things were! We had to wait for our bill more than 20 minutes after we were finished and finally went to the cash register to get our bill. Before this, there were waitresses gathered around the register visiting and chatting. I was very disappointed with the whole experience. Won't be back!
Very nice woman waited in me, I ordered a beer and the "broiled salmon special" the one I got seemed past its time, kinda reeked when it came out, never a good sign with fish. I tried it kinda a twang spit it out in a napkin. Mashed potatoes were a gloopy paste didn't have any flavor neither did the green bean wax bean carrot medley. Special was not very special.
Giving even one star was too much. We waited for over an hour for our food. There was another large party that was seated well after us and she took and put their order in before is!! Our server was negative and said “she should just go home” after my dad (86) who couldn’t cut his over done steak asked for a sharp knife. We chose this restaurant because our dad loves being near the pier and this was a birthday lunch celebration for him. Apparently the restaurant is understaffed, per our server and she only came in to “help” out. We even gave her a piece of ice cream cake to “cheer” her up, guess it takes more than being kind to someone who was very miserable! We hope her day got better! We have never been so disappointed in service and food! Save your money and go elsewhere!!
First, there was three employees all talking at the bar, we sat ourselves and my husband and I waited almost ten minutes for the waitress to come over. She took our breakfast order and I swear it took 30 minutes to get our order. By the time we got our order, the toast was burnt, both of our eggs were over cooked and very cold. We told the waitress and she apologized and said she would get us new food. After 15 minutes, she walks by and we motioned to her, she literally forgot our food. This place was disgusting by the way. The bathroom was gross, smelled like urine and it was dirty. The food was not edible, the waitress was hopeless, and the condition of the restaurant was run down. My husband and I definitely would not recommend Demetri's to anyone.
My boyfriend and I live out of state and wanted to have a nice dinner somewhere, so we looked up a few places around the pier and this was one of the options. We saw the nice outside area and thought “okay, let’s go there!”. Went to find the entrance - no signs ANYWHERE indicating where to enter. We found one door, it led to two others. We took the door on the right and quickly realized that it wasn’t the correct door to enter as it led upstairs where no business was, so we turned around and went back down the stairs to go in the other door to look for a hostess. On our way back down a waitress came in the staircase, as we were making our way back down, she very abruptly and rudely asked “What’re you doing over here?”. I explained that we had gotten lost trying to find the main entrance to the dining area as we weren’t familiar with the establishment and we were on our way back to the first set of doors. With a less than enthusiastic attitude she responded, “Yeah, it’s over there.” - Pointing in no specific direction or giving any further description as to where to go. So, we eventually got to the hostess and she said to sit wherever we’d like. We sat outside and our waitress came up to us, after about 10 minutes of waiting to be addressed, explained it is her second day and sorry for any of the inconvenience. We forgave her as we understood as the job is new to her - she took our entire order, drinks and food, and went on her way. Waited about 15 minutes for our drinks to show up. After that, our food showed up about 5 minutes right after. Our salads were not coursed before our food, it actually came out after the entrees! Customer service here is a 0/10 - would NOT recommend to anyone looking for a nice night out with polite and adequate service. Went next door instead to 64 on the pier, good food and less of a hassle after this experience. Food was sub-par at best, not worth the dollar.
Really disappointed. Made reservations for 6 people. Got there 10 minutes early. Was told our table wasn't ready. Went down hill from there... -was shown to a corner booth too small for 6 large adults. -waited 10 minutes in the dining area for table arrangements -waiter brought our menus and took our drink orders -20 minutes later 4 of 6 drinks delivered -10 minutes elapsed I went looking for our drinks and was told with a giggle "oh yeah they are on their way" received our coffee & tea. No sugar, no creamer, no spoons -so now our orders are taken -another 60 minutes of waiting, no refills, no anything -finally 3 of the 6 dinners delivered, had to ask for utensils -15 minutes later our waiter comes over to tell us the remaining orders will be out soon -here comes 1 of the 3. -I'm informed that my dinner would be out shortly along with my sons beef on weck -I informed the waiter to box mine up. -many apologies received from the hostess & waiter with a reduction of 15% and my fish on the house. -now for the food; -medium rare steak served beyond well done, no salad, no bread & butter -roast beef dinner arrived without the salad, beverage ordered (hold the ice) full of ice 4 of at the table had extensive experience in the food industry. None of this is acceptable. We were informed that due to SUNY graduation they had been overwhelmed all day. There were only 7 SEVEN tables occupied when we arrived. Tables arriving after us completed their meals and left before us. Not sure what was going on but it would have been nice for the owner to personally apologize. We were told the owner was actually cooking.
This was by far the worst dining experience we’ve ever had. I ordered the chicken pot pie, and it came out completely burnt and inedible. When we brought this to the waitress’s attention, she dismissed our concern by claiming the chicken had a “smokey flavor.” It was clearly overcooked, not flavored. The service was equally disappointing — unhelpful and uninterested in resolving the issue. We left extremely dissatisfied and will not be returning.
Waited 45 mins for tacos and a sandwich. Tacos were unateble cold hard meat. Sandwich chicken was ok but lettuce was brown
Took over an hour to get our breakfast. 3 of us. Food came out barley room temperature and that was after asking the very rude waitress how much longer it would be. They were not very busy and besides being rude our waitress was slamming plates on the table and not very friendly.
Wow. Walk in and get asked if we wanted to sit inside or outside. Beautiful day, so we chose outside. Get told to head outside, seat ourselves, and our server will be right with us. That's not how they do things. We found out eventually after being ignored for 25ish minutes, even by the guy who told us to seat ourselves. The food tasted good, but portions were ridiculously small. Service was really slow. They were not busy. Overall disappointed. Will not be going back.
Not busy at all. Told we couldn't sit out on the patio as there was only one server. Just ordered an appetizer and two bowls of chicken noodle soup and waited over an hour. Then, the server was busy waiting tables out on the patio we were told was not open. The server was very nice. Food sucked. Never had chicken noodle soup made with macaroni??? Think they were over whelmed with the 4 couples that all came in between 7 and 9.
Wow.. Took forever to get.our food. Food just tasted blah.. no flavor at all. Bees everywhere and a server said she left maple syrup on a table to attract the bees. It did not work. One table in the corner never got cleaned off the whole time we were there. Our server, Patience did a good job. I asked to switch my swiss cheese to provolone... then I get a $2.50 charge on my bill for a substitution. Really... to change my cheese. Not add, just change. I have no reason to go back there and spend my money. Should have just gone across the street and got pizza. Same view but better food.
Totally ignored us when we first walked in. A server was standing at the server's bar saw us walk in never acknowledged us but did come over to cash another customer out after we had been standing there. The waitress proceeded to stand at the table she wanted us to sit at and waved us over. The waitress was rude. Slammed/tossed the jelly on the table. Waited over an hour for our food. We had to ask her if she would check on the hold-up. After a few minutes, she came back with our breakfast and slammed plates in front of the wrong guests. The food was cold!!!! Called her out on it and she proceeded to be even nastier. Would never recommend and will not be back!! There were only 3 of us and they were not busy!!!
Ordered chicken finger sub for my nephew. See attached photo: the chicken was raw. That's dangerous, irresponsible, and utterly unacceptable. Imagine biting into that before discovering the fact that this was breaded raw chicken. When called the person who answered the phone stated that since it was through door dash that he couldn't do anything about it. Unacceptable and will never go there again. But future consumers be wary and at least check your food before taking your first bite. Who knows what you'll be getting...
Made an order fried chicken and order of chicken tenders. Took bite from fried chicken and a long gray hair was cooked into the breading. Will call to talk to manager. Received call from Shirley about 30 minutes later. She was very rude to me on the phone and was very upset about me posting review. I told her I would speak to Jamie tomorrow because I didn’t like the way she was speaking to me. She claimed she was the owner and Jamie was not. Won’t be returning if this is how they interacted with paying customers.
I know it’s the 4th of July and staff would prefer not to be working; I get it. But, when the staff groups together at the counter and just complaining about the customers. It’s unacceptable. This place had sub-par food with my Greek Salad being wilted lettuce and the gyro just burnt to a crisp. Sent it back and didn’t reorder. Yuck. Other members of our party had dried out pasta like they it had been heated up in a microwave. The building is falling apart and the restrooms are like walking into a truck stop with urine all over the seats (the smell - gross). The outdoor tables being held up by napkins. It’s a great location downtown, but the owners need to take a hard look into their business. Don’t go here - unless you prefer a bad experience.
We were passing through and stopped for dinner, a party of 4. First off, the salads came with the meals. The roast beef was salty and was like slices you buy in a deli. The mashed potatoes were big chunks in the form of paste the vegetables were hard, the steak was dry and over cooked. The server asked if I wanted a box and I told her no, and I didn't like it. She never offered anything else or to speak to a manager. I went to pay, and asked about getting something off my meal because I didn't eat much of it. The girl got the manager and she did nothing to make it right, not even an apology. She said she sold the same roast beef to 20 other ladies and they loved it. Well those ladies were either family or paid to say that because it was nasty. The bill was $93 and because I had to pick something up to eat somewhere else. I didn't tip. The manager was worse than the server and didnt care about our bad experience. I wouldn't go back there again if you paid me. Save yourself the hassle and go someplace else. I wouldn't be surprised if they go out of business.
Long wait to be seated, not greeted. Family in front left shortly after we arrived. So not sure how long they were waiting. Hardly any people there. Waitress was nice but seemed rushed. Got our drinks and waited and waited to put in out order. Waited close to 45 mins before our very simple food came out. All of us were out of drinks. Food tasted fine. Wished it didnt take so long and no one checked in. Old decor and sticky looking place. Beautiful spot by the lake but just very outdated.
