i had dinner with my friend and these burgers were so SO good I had the Korean BBQ with the brussel sprouts omg did not disappoint it was literally the best burger I've ever eaten ever and he had the bang bang burger and he was obsessed with the bang bang sauce on it. also, our server Mary was so sweet! definitely eat burgers from here

Cool place. Exposed brick wall interior with some nice architectural accents. Extensive range of whisky and nice cocktails. Decent beer list. We’ve visited a few times and have all enjoyed our meals. The burgers are really well seasoned, juicy and well cooked. The fries are delicious. Service has always been really good too. Knowledgeable waiters.

189 burger is absolutely incredible as far as Quality and taste!! Oh man they are fantastic.... but if you are trying to save some money for good flower this is NOT the place... they are ridiculously expensive 😩 but you get what you pay for here..

3 adults, 3 children and a dog in our party. We sat outside in the cute little private alleyway. They gave our dog a bowl of water. We all got different burgers. All were delicious. Regular fries and sweet potato fries were both great. I loved the roasted Brussels sprouts - and it's very nice to have that as a side option. Claudia was our server and was very efficient and friendly. We all loved it!

Other than service being a tiny bit slow, everything was great. The roasted Brussels sprouts as a side is GENIUS and super delicious! I had the 189 burger and it was cooked perfectly. A new favorite for sure, can't wait to come back and try the cocktails!

Walk in today on accident during lunch with two coworkers because we thought we were going next door to bar bill. And I'm so glad we did! This place is awesome! Great staff, atmosphere and amazing food. We left stuffed off a burger each they were delicious and could really tell they were fresh handmade. Will definitely be back, and with more people!

Incredible service, delicious food and generous portion is a love language and I’m glad it’s one 189 Burger understands. Our food here was spectacular as was the service. We had the black bean burger and the Nashville hot chicken sandwich. For my vegans/vegetarians, you are able to substitute any burger combination on the menu for a black bean and enjoy other fixings. It was a cold morning and day for us so I was extremely happy that the staff was able to offer me hot water for drinking! I wish they had milkshakes to really cater to my inner glutton but what is offered is fantastic.

The chipotle mayo burger was one of the best burgers I've had. So much flavor. I can't wait to show more people this place. * I went back again after 3 months and it was as amazing as the first time. Get a side of their blue cheese for the fries.. It's actual cheese, not the fake stuff. Amazing ambiance too and beyond cozy.

Had lunch with my brother in law here. Wonderful service. Great selection of drinks. I had French Onion Soup and it was outstanding. I think it's the best I have had. I ordered a hamburger cooked medium with smoked blue cheese sauce to have later for dinner and a spicy chicken sandwich for my wife for dinner. The hamburger was cooked perfectly and was juicy. The bun had great flavor and stood up well with the smoked blue cheese sauce. My wife also enjoyed her spicy chicken sandwich. It was spicy but not too spicy. We were all very pleased.

189 won our hearts and tastebuds over with their sweet potato fries and house honey dipping sauce. This is the place you want to go to for a burger and bourbon (or non-alcoholic beverage) in East Aurora. It's a great atmosphere that tends to fill up. The staff is incredible and works to ensure dietary concerns are met. They do have a vegetarian option, which is very tasty and not dry. Their craft cocktails change during the seasons - my favorite are their fall cocktails! If you're in the village on a Wednesday evening - stop by for their Burgers & Bourbon special. When they have their Sunday Brunch - get the french toast!! Would definitely recommend making a reservation in advance since it tends to be packed around dinner time.

We waited for our table at the bar for about 45 minutes and tried a few specialty cocktails which turned out wonderfully. Both bar tenders were excellent in suggesting and mixing. We both ordered burgers and our waitress suggested the burger & bourbon special for $15 which is basically a $1 one oz. bourbon chosen from a small list provided. The food and drinks were great and the service was awesome too! We've eaten here a few times and it has been 5 stars every time.

We love this place for a solid hamburger. There is no kids menu but our kids just got old enough to enjoy a burger, so now the whole family is a fan! There pot roast sandwich is also a go to. Oh wait..did I mention amazing brussel sprouts and sweet potato fries. They deserve a mention. They don't take reservations and it can get packed fast..so plan on arriving early to wait for dinner time on weekend nights or if your early enough sit down before the rush around 5.

Visiting the area, and my fiancé recommended this place for us having been there once before and really enjoyed the salad he had then. First impression: Rustic but charming, and popular — On a Monday evening around 7:30pm it was not crowded but the bar was full and a few tables too. Has a narrow space but there appeared to be an upstairs. We were seated right away and all service individuals were friendly. We ordered 2 uniquely flavored cocktails, then shared an appetizer (Beef on Weck Egg Rolls) — this sauce was so delicious we kept it behind for the sandwich (Pot Roast Dip). Everything came out hot too. If we stay in this area again, 189 Burger is definitely ⭐️ as a favorite restaurant.

We tried 189 Burger for the first time. We had french onion soup, a club sandwich with sweet potato fries, and a bourbon onion burger with roasted brussel sprouts. The portions were plentiful and cooked perfectly! Each item was tasty in a way specific to the restaurant thus prompting us to begin planning a trip back next weekend. The hostess and server were both very professional and kind making it an all around enjoyable experience.

It was weird that it was pretty dead and the service wasnt more attentive but the pot roast sandwich made up for it.

The burgers were to die for. Hubby had the Mushroom burger and found it amazing. I had the Steak Frites, and it also was fabulous. The fries are delish and not dry. My specialty cocktail Hypnotic Eye was marvelous. Serviced with 1 huge ice cube that didn't water down the drink. Can't wait to go back.

I don't go to bars but I had to try their food and I am so glad I did. W O W 189 has the best food. We had french onion soup and my husband and we agree that we never had better french onion soup in our life and we are in our 50s.

Food was amazing, took a little long for four burgers to arrive, and there is a side door that when opened let in a lot of cold air. Now for the burgers the kids had the 189s and said they were awesome, meat medium well, the sauce is great on the fries as well. We had the bourbon onion which was also really good. Both were recommended by our server

The food at 189 is amazing! The menu is limited but everything on the menu is executed perfectly! The craft cocktails are very good but a little pricey. I would definitely go back!

We went to Vidler’s 5 & 10, had family that had never been, we decided to get something to eat. We originally went to the place next-door to 189 burger, but it was a very long wait so we decided to go here. What a great decision that was. Interior decor is unbelievably cool. There’s stuff to look at everywhere. we ordered three appetizers and everything was delicious. We ordered our burgers and we all raved about how good everything was. Highly recommend 189 Burger!!!

Wow. My coworker knew about my love of French onion soup and insisted I make the trek from the north towns to this place. I can say, there wasn’t much reason for our family to travel to East Aurora after one of fav kids museums moved, but now I have a reason to make the haul! We stopped by here after taking our kid’s to a gym in the area and I’m glad we did. I’d say that this might be my favorite French onion soup on the basis of the rich flavors alone. My wife and I went back and forth comparing it to our number one. I felt this is a little less cheesy than my typical favorite (or maybe it was slightly more cooked than I’m used to) but the flavor of the broth and ingredients are the best. We weren’t ready for dinner so we just ordered the soups and got fries for the kids. My daughter was raving about the fries and the service. She kept saying “we have to come back.” I agree!

Food is amazing here! I got the black bean burger and you couldn’t even tell the difference from a real burger. It was top notch. The roasted Brussel sprouts were excellent. I love the atmosphere. It’s really comfortable and decorated nicely. They also have a nice drink menu with many selections. I would highly recommend. Perfect for a date night.

So funny story, there was a huge wait for bar-bill. My friends told me that place has awesome wings. (That's an adventure for another time.) So we see that there was another bar right next to it with two open seats at the bar. This we found ourselves sitting at 189 burger. Simply amazing burgers! My wife and I have been here a couple times now and love it. Great atmosphere with very friendly staff! We have had Grace as our waitress both times and she is very nice! We have only gone on Saturday nights so the wait times are a little longer (30-45min) but we are going at prime time. You can get a drink at the bar or go next door to Brew Works while you wait for your table. Highly recommend 189 Burger!

This is the spot I always crave while visiting East Aurora. I always think about trying something new but end up at 189 Burger every time. Their signature burger is incredible and the frickles are addicting. The bartenders are always friendly and skilled at making their signature drinks and the beer selection on tap is always top notch.

Great place. Had a lunch there. At lunch time it was not crowded. Ordered a Nashville chicken sandwich and my friend ordered black bean burger. Serving size was good and food was fresh. Recommended place if your ate at east Aurora.

Decided to try it here. We have been back 2 times in one week. The pot roast sandwich was so tender and the burger I had the next time was amazing. My friend said the same thing! The 2nd time we ordered he ordered 2 sandwiches so he had something for lunch. When we pick up the order everyone is so kind and I’m taken care of right away.

The beer was refreshing and the beef on weck egg rolls w/horseradish dipping sauce - were absolutely delicious!! Highly recommend getting these. Atmosphere was on point. Watched a Bills game from 189 and had a blast! The burgers are fantastic, the service was great, and there are plenty of TVs to watch the game. This is a great place to watch a game, especially if you are looking for whiskey -- they have a wide selection!

We were visiting WNY for the Bills season opener and staying locally with friends, who decided to take us to 189 Burger. It didn't disappoint. The food was excellent, the drinks selection was excellent and the service also first class ( as we have come to expect in this part of the country). The place itself was so pleasant that if i did live locally it would be my local pub. To anyone who hasn't visited this place then when you do try the Frickles, we don't have them in the UK but i wish we did.

The space was amazing and the service was even better. I was in town from Ohio and stopped by Bar-bill for lunch. There was an issue in the kitchen and they shut down after waiting for 2 hours. I decided to grab a burger and I'm so glad I did! Probably the best burger I've ever had! Great beer and the service was top notch. Will definitely make a trip back just for a burger.

Once again, East Aurora didn’t disappoint! We stopped in at 189 Burger for dinner. Service was outstanding and the food was delicious! The burger was juicy, the chicken was fresh, and those hand cut sweet potato fries were amazing! There were lots of beers available, and their unique mixed drink menu had a good variety. We’ll definitely be back again soon!

My wife and I visited here on a Saturday afternoon. To start I had the Kaleidoscope cocktail and my wife had the 42 North Borderland IPA. I also had the Heat Wave. All were very delicious and refreshing. We had the Hot Honey Chicken Fritters as an appetizer. It was very delicious. My wife had the Cobb Salad and I had the Mushroom Cheeseburger. Both were very delicious, and I liked how the cheese melted with the burger. Our server was Isabelle. She was very friendly and a hard worker. We sat on the patio alley. The atmosphere both inside and out was very relaxing. My only recommendation is that the door that goes to the patio alley needs a window so that one knows that it's okay to open the door. We would return for future visits.

Went for the very first time last night. Very cool spot. Loved the vibe here. Awesome bourbon list Service was great. Very clean restroom. Food was great. Ordered the French onion soup. Sweeter than Ive ever had and LOVED it. Everyone ordered the burgers. 189. Steak frites. Spicy bbq. Mushroom. All Delicious. I got the Brussel sprouts for a side and they were amazing. I’ve been bored with basic cocktails lately and their menu is anything but that. I got the When in Vegas and the Breakfast at Tiffany’s cocktail. I can’t believe this is the first bar I’ve ever seen put boba balls in a cocktail, but that was a summery, fun drink. I got the spicy BBQ Blue burger. It was perfectly cooked. The blue cheese and spicy bbq was flavorful and homemade and I like that I can be kinda healthy by getting Brussels sprouts instead of fries.

Like many others, my wife and I were hoping to eat at Bar Bills. It took us a little longer to figure out (even with all the 189’s) that we weren’t at the famed wing place. We waited only about a minute for a table after they asked if outside seating was ok. We were surprised with the beautiful outdoor setting they had, and I felt like I was in one of those restaurants in a coastal city where new ideas were the new tradition. Loved their green space, was quiet, but private. Some background music, not too hot, and very clean. Even a fire place! Oh my gosh… don’t get me started on their food. I’ll be here all day. The frickles appetizer—unbelievable! Most places serve a squishy deep fried pickle. These guys gave us a crunchy frickle with a pinch of juicy. The bourbon onion burger… HEAVEN in my mouth. Check out our pictures. Service was second to none, and they brought out the app before the meal. Love that. Alyssa was kind, and tended us well. I don’t want to go to Bar Bills know this place exists! I’ll eat here anytime (I don’t drink, I’m the DD), food, atmosphere, and service is 100%

Haven't been super impressed by the burgers here. The sauces have way too much added salt, however, that seems to be a growing theme in restaurants, along with added sugar. The bartenders here are awesome though! Great selection of bourbon and whiskey.

Super popular destination with a great atmosphere and some incentive burger offerings. They don't allow reservations and often have a wait list when you arrive. Once seated, we ended up waiting almost 45 minutes for our 2 burgers to arrive. Flavors weren't in your face, so be bold and try something unique - it's worth the experience. Much the same can be said about the cocktails - subtle notes of the key flavors, but large number of diverse options.

Nice place, outdoor heaters. Service was spectacular. Cobb salad had no blue cheese, what? Also a sweet salad dressing, not to our tastes. American burger was ok, also not spectacular. I will try again if only for the EAurora location and the restaurant atmosphere.

Beef on weck egg rolls are a must. Maybe even 2 orders. My daughter loves the 189 Burger!

The food was great it was a little too dark for me but overall it was great! My son broke a cup accidentally and they quickly took care of it. Im not super big on dark dining but the food makes it worth it.

We got take out. Honestly the best I've ever had. My Ranchero burger was cooked perfectly. If you like Brussels sprouts the Buffalo Brussels are out of this world.

Atmosphere is gorgeous and cozy. The staff is super friendly. Our order took a while and I think there was probably some kind miscommunication with the front ad the back but we did get and it was worth the wait. Plus again, staff was so nice about it. I am guessing it's not the norm. Definitely going back again. The Pot Roast Dip is to die for and it's REFRESHING to see other options than fries or chips for the sides. We got the roasted brussel sprouts and went nuts over them! More restaurants should off alternative veggies like this as sides. Do yourself a favor and go.

189 Burger is a great stop in Lancaster. It has a cozy feel inside with an alleyway type patio outside. The lite music playing on the background was perfect for setting the vibe. The Beef on Weck Egg Rolls were surprisingly tasty. The burger was delicious and juicy although I requested medium rare and got a medium well. The fries were cooked to perfection. They have a nice selection of craft cocktails, beer and wine too. My only suggestion would be for 189 to carry A1 which pairs nicely with a juicy burger. Having Webers as a secondary mustard option would be great too. Overall 189 Burger is a hit for us. We will be back!

The place is cozy, comfy service amazing especially with kids. Three of my family members had hairs in their burgers and sandwiches. Fries and home style chips delicious.

Located right next to Bar Bill is 189 Burger. The interior of the restaurant is a beautiful brick and mortar theme, with nice wood features. The bar area is a wonderful comfortable section to relax at and get a drink. Today I sat in the dining area next to the bar. There is also a balcony section you could dine at as well. My order today was, Beef on weck eggrolls- pretty good especially with the subtle tasting horseradish sauce. The 189- a very simple burger that was good and juicy, cooked exactly how I like it. It also comes with a choice of side. I selected the French fries and they were good. Only complaint about the burger is this. The bun was stale, if it wasn't stale it sure tasted like it was. I would suggest tgeyvchange the type of buns they use. Flamed old fashion- drink was really good I would come back and give the burger another try. I know for a fact I would come back for their drinks

I took my 14 year old grandson here for lunch. We both ordered the Spicy BBQ Burger. Unfortunately, the level of spiciness was not indicated. Our rolls were swimming in so much bbq sauce we couldn't hold the burger without our hands taking a bath. Also the sauce just about burned our lips and mouth. Came away very annoyed and disappointed.

The waitress was annoyed to be serving us actually rolled her eyes while my friend was picking out what side he wanted only came back to the table one time The food was mediocre and took way too long to come out. The outside eating area is very nice and is really enjoyable at night. Just unfortunate that the food is not so great and the services Is not great at all.

The first time we went here when it opened it was amazing. We decided to go back last night. The frickles were over cooked and and stuck in one clump. I asked for my burger medium and my husband asked for well done. I received the well done and my husband received the medium burger. Because their specialty it wasn’t like we could swap burgers. As we were sitting waiting for food I was watching the hostess bag silverware and touch every single fork head that you eat off of to flip it around which is so unsanitary and to do it in front of everyone wasn’t a good look. We were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait which was well over an hour before we were actually seated.

Came to this locations and we were placed on a waitlist. We were #9 in line, for a table of 6. After about a 45min wait, we received a text that we were next. We were outside the location, and waited an additional 45 min., we asked the hostess and they told us we were next but they needed a bigger table. After an additional 35minutes of waiting (which was 1hr and 15mim., after the text said we were ready to dine) of waiting, we left. Their service updates need to be fixed. If our table is not ready, then why would the automated text tell us we were next/ ready. After 2 hours, we left with no food, and nothing but frustration. If I could give this place 0 stars, I would! 0 STAR REVIEW 0 SERVICE REVIEW I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

So apparently a cup mostly filled with croutons is $10 and a 20 min wait time for takeout... I’ve had the soup in house and it is phenomenal. Not sure why so stingy on the takeout but pretty disappointed and unimpressed by the price for this tiny cup. It was 10 bites worth of soup in the end.

This used to be a good place, haven't been in a bout a year, good quality and service has taken a serious nose dive. I definately do not recomend eating here anymore. Sad as it used to be a favorite spot.
