One of the best fish fry. The takeout comes in a cardboard container! Since I've moved back to WNY, I have been seeking a good fish fry. Some of the good old places have gone down in quality. This beer batter fish fry definitely hits the spot. I like the tarter sauce, it has a nice flavor to it.

The Byrd House is a fun hip place to go by yourself or take the whole family. The staff, food, and drink options are all top notch. Check them out ASAP. You will go back again and again.

Went here today after snowboarding, service was great our waitress was so nice and gave so much info about different items. They were out of a few things but it was new years day and they were very accommodating. Fries, wings, sandwiches were all delicious - wings especially impressed, and we were super happy with the beef temps they seemed spot on. Thanks! We had fun and will be back!

I read some other reviews and we didn't have at all the same bad experiences. It was a perfect temperature in the restaurant and even though there was a good bar crowd, we could talk at a regular level and still hear each other and we were a group of 6. Food was outstanding and out server was even better. I have a lot of food allergies and our waitress checked and double checked making sure everything I ordered was ok for me. We will be going back hopefully very soon.

Food was good and the waitress had personality. It is a little noisy with the crowd at the bar when you are sitting at the tables on the other side trying to eat. Maybe some more barriers in place to help control the noise would be worth installing.

Cool little bar in the village of Orchard Park. They were open pretty late and there were still many people in the place when I got there. Beers were pretty good and bartenders were friendly. Would recommend!

I sat for almost 15 mnts b4 I got a drink. Then sat there long enough to finish my drink atlrast 20 more minutes and never saw a waitress again so I left money on the table to pay for my drink and left

A late afternoon my neighbor a I went to the Byrd House. My neighbor likes their shrimp served as an appetizer along with soup. I ask the waitress what she suggested for myself. She suggested the highlighted items and the smaller beef on wick with chicken wings. I ask how their wings were prepared. I do not like dripping in sauce wings. Those are not Buffalo wings. She told me she would put the order in for crispy wings. When the beef and wing plate was presented I could definitely tell the wings were not crispy. The skin looked shinny and not cooked. I asked, before I touched the meal if the wings could be made crispier. She replied “no”. Just no she said. So unappealing! I pealed the nasty skin off the wings so I could handle eating them. The smaller roast beef roll was wet and mushy on top. Definitely the worse meal. Could not bite into the beef without a struggle. The waitress did come over and saw how I peeled the skin off and I mentioned about the roll which I just ate the bottom half of. Another girl came over because she had heard we were not happy with our meal. She told me the rolls are like that because they put butter on top. The wings she said are just done like that. My neighbor told her about her shrimp not being how it always is when she orders it on each visit. A very off taste. So happy I didn’t bring out of town guests in.

The service was awful and so was the food. We got sat and waited about 15 minutes for our server. We ordered a sprite and a Diet Coke and was given a doctor pepper. I ordered a burger with no onions and onions were on the burger. My boyfriend ordered the fish filet and it was complete mush, it was not cooked properly. We also ordered mozzarella sticks for an appetizer and was given two plates and one was visibly dirty. Then when we were finished we waited for about 20-25 minutes for our server to come around for the check. We even got up to look for her but she was nowhere to be found. After she gave us the check we were waiting another 15 minutes for her to grab the check and to cash us out. She only checked on us like two times during the whole time.Was very disappointed with everything.

Table was sticky no matter how much we tried to clean it. Couldn't touch it. Pizza was overcooked and lousy, any frozen pizza would have been better. Batter on the fish fry was thick, hard and inedible. Awful dinning experience. Never returning, don't bother, grab a roller dog at the local gas station!

Took almost 20 mins for a waitress to take our drink orders. We almost left due to long wait times. Waitresses just kept walking past our table and it was not busy at all. Waitress that brought our food out (blonde) was extremely bothered that she had to bring our food out. We ordered two seperate orders of nachos and only one came out. The fired balogna sandwich was super salt, couldn't finish the sandwich. Overall bad experience. Won't be going back here.
