Been ordering from here for the last 3 years. They are always accurate with order and fast delivery. The food is extremely consistent and delicious. I have tried a few others but this place is the best.

Your typical Chinese take out place. Food is good and overall satisfied. I gave 4 stars on atmosphere because it's a take out joint. I mean how much atmosphere you going to get?

Absolutely impressed by the Gai Lan Chicken here! 🐔✨ The chicken is incredibly tender—almost melt-in-your-mouth perfection. Whoever’s in the kitchen has mastered the art of balancing flavor and texture. The juicy, succulent slices paired with crisp greens are a match made in food heaven. 10/10 would recommend to anyone craving a satisfying yet light meal. This dish alone deserves a chef’s hat emoji!

Had dinner here and absolutely loved it! The Chicken Pepper with Onion and Shrimp Chow Mein were both delicious — full of flavor and perfectly cooked. The portions were generous, and the service was friendly and attentive. Definitely a spot I’d come back to for authentic Chinese food!

I ordered shrimp with broccoli from East Bamboo Chinese Restaurant and was very disappointed. The broccoli and sauce were very bland, and the shrimp tasted bad and seemed spoiled. I called the restaurant to let them know, but they told me the chef said the shrimp was fresh. Unfortunately, based on the taste, that was not my experience at all. Overall, the food quality was poor, and I would not order from them again.

I've been taking out food from East Bamboo for many years. Unfortunately I was in the hospital & rehab for most of 2023 but, as soon as I came home I got take out & the food is still delicious. My favorites are Wonton Soup, Shrimp w/Lobster Sauce and Beef and Broccoli. My family was down from Rochester & they loved the food!

Walked from hotel. Ordered Chicken kunpow with peanuts. A med spicy dish, large order. And an egg roll. Large order was very large, rice in separate container. Really enjoyed it, just enough spice, peanuts added a nice crunch. I will definitely go back again.

For 22 years I had LOVED East Bamboo and even though I live a couple towns over, I would still stop in once in awhile because their food was the best American Chinese food around. Recently, I stopped by to get my regular order and I couldn’t help but notice the quality is vastly different than the past. The General Tso’s Chicken sauce has changed a little and the rice, a power quality, was over cooked and increasingly starchy but not in a good way. The chicken, which use to be generous chunks of chicken breast, are not small more gristly pieces. Also, as I waited in line, I saw the gentleman making the fried chicken and spare robes sneaking pieces of the chicken to his mouth without gloves etc.. he would look around, take a lice from the large bowl, put it in a rag, and then put it up to his mouth while turning away from front towards the back. This happened repeatedly as I waited to pick up my food. I hope they are given lunch and dinner breaks. Additionally, I noticed they no longer have the safety matts on the floors to help backs and slip injuries in the kitchen. Sadly, I will not return and will stick to my immediate local area.

Terrible, I ordered lunch with 3 of my coworkers. They gave 3 packets of duck sauce and 3 cheap napkins. That’s it. I understand you want to cut back on costs but it’s getting out of hand.

I have been ordering from this restaurant for many years. The food has always been top shelf. Ever since they closed and reopened after the pandemic situation the food has completely gone downhill. The last three times I've ordered, and yes I keep trying, the food has been horrific. I ended up throwing it all in the trash. There are things in the food that don't belong there, the sauces are liquidity, things are just not as they should be. I thought of not placing this review because the owner is very nice the staff is very nice but they need to get their act together. I will never personally order from them again it's like burning my money. They've been a neighborhood institution and I truly do hope that they're able to do better in the future. To the owner: yes you keep saying you use all fresh ingredients but does that include fresh pork grizzle in your wontons and fresh chicken joints & bone in the sesame chicken!

Anything fried tastes like it was all cooked in the same rancid oil. No distinct flavors between dishes just a generalized greasy mush of bland tastes that will leave a film residue in your mouth. Anyone who knows the restaurant business knows that these places all get their food from the SAME huge Chinese food suppliers. The good restaurants doctor up this corporate trash as best as they can or make some dishes fresh, the bad ones serve what they pick up as -is. The only good thing about the East Bamboo meal is that tomorrow is Friday and I was able to put everything in the trash for pickup tomorrow. Complete waste of money.
