The BBQ here....WOW! There are actually a couple of BBQ places nearby, but Maverick’s is hands down the best!! Best BBQ sauce around AND it’s for sale in the store! We put it on everything!!

Food was great first time there. I got the catfish basket with french fries and the BBQ plate with brisket and sausage. My sides were Coleslaw and potato salad. Definitely will be going there again. I wa t to try one of the bugers they have. I bet they are preety good. Prices were fair not expensive at all. Definitely recommend going and trying it out forsure.

Highly recommend this place. Employees were friendly and helpful. Food was awesome. Had brisket plate with Texas toothpicks. Brisket was moist and the batbeque sauce is so good. Price is in line with other BBQ places and is a nice addition to the local restaurants. Decor is 50's with comfortable booths. Definitely worth trying.

We've eaten at il Modo 6+ times, a combination of informal breakfasts and suppers. We have never been disheartened. Our feasts are constantly ready and played flawlessly. The mixed drinks are splendid and beautiful too. Administration is dependably first rate proficient. We will be back. They even plate their takeout flawlessly. See our pics

Order the brisket grilled cheese and you won’t be disappointed!! They give plenty of meat on it as well. Fairly sure the BBQ sauce is Stubbs. Very tasty!

Great food. Building looks like scraped distressed wood. Have to order food when you come in abd they bring it to your table. Salad and loaded potato with chopped brisket were excellent. Employees and owner constantly checked on us and even got refills for us. Don't pass up a chance to eat here!

My husband and I stopped on the way back from Dallas. The decor is all authentic 50's except for two high tables. The food is plentiful, hot, fast and good. The stand out is the barbecue sauce, spicy and delicious. We will make it a regular stop from now on.

The staff was very friendly and helpful and were available for any need we had. Our family has already returned to eat there again. If you are traveling along Interstate 1-20 West in Texas they are west of Dallas/Fort Worth at Exit 343 in Eastland Texas. They are certainly worth the stop!

The Maverick baked potato was delicious good combination with the grilled jalapenos the Brisket was awesome. I normally don't eat BBQ sauce but theirs is good! And the Margaritas in a can are surprisingly good and strong. JOHNNY is the man here, he runs the show.

Good food and lots of it, BIG NEGATIVE you have to go to the counter to order your meal, Sucks you go and sit down at a table, get up and walk to the counter to place order. They will eventually lose their customers over this poor business decision

Average fare, had the catfish plate and it was huge. Couldn't finish it so they gave me a to go box and drink. Friendly staff. A good spot to grab a bite if you're traveling down I-20.

We had chicken tender plate choice of two sides and a hamburger steak. The mashed potatoes are very bland as well as the corn.

Loved the decor . I didnt like ordering upfront. Staff at front was not friendly. On their cell phones. Food was ok. Chicken fried steak was tough from over cooking. First time to visit nothing outstanding to make me to want to go back.

Ribs had good flavor but they were on the dry side the link sausage was tough and on the dry side the 2 sides (beans and boiled potatoes)were actually the best thing on my plate because they were cooked right.

The food was good, the service was not real friendly. If I had to pick...I'd go elsewhere. The Maverick Grill in Santo, TX is good and usually has friendly service.

This place is going down hill...either the grill isn't open, or now they won't cook lunch items till 11... we all don't eat lunch at the same time.. been there plenty of times and was able to order a brisket quesadilla.. not anymore

We decided to try this place since we hunt in Cisco. Loved the retro 50s decor. Chilly in there due to a delivery being made and back door opened. Myself and other patrons were wearing jackets. Tried the highly recommended brisket, potato salad, and coleslaw and sweet tea. Brisket was not warm and tasted maybe a day or 2 old. Coleslaw had no taste and wasn't creamy or sweet as they described, it was very dry.The potato salad had absolutely no taste was just bland. Sweet tea was aweful. Bad batch, ended up drinking a coke.I was Extremely disappointed to say the least. Tried the chocolate chip cheesecake, which they said they did not make and was made by some ladies in Santo. It was incredible. Highly recommend that. Tried hubbys fries for his burger and they were great. If I ever come back I'd get the burger, fries,and pie. Staff was really friendly.

Cashier stold my credit card information then they the manager refused to refund the money that was taken off of my card

Worst place ever way overpriced i was charged $10 for a hamburger does not include french fries or a drink or a smile from my server I should have known when they have a handwritten sign posted outside that says " yes we are open" and there is no construction around the place.

Wasn't impressed with the the food, buit the really disappointing point was when I ordered a cheesecake and got a yogurt flavored cheesecake looking item! If you post our items as something you should use the main ingredient!
