Highly recommended and definitely will return! Service was excellent from the door till our goodbyes! Food was tasty and just what was needed for the weather! Burst of flavours in every dish! You must try the cheese curds - a great start to a beautiful meal. Thank me later!

We were referred to this restaurant when we were in the area. I enjoy asking locals what their favorite place to eat that isn't a franchise. I'm glad I got referred this place. It is somewhat difficult to find parking, but busy usually means it's good. It has a cool atmosphere. It took a little while to get service after we were seated, but once we got service, everyone was very friendly and service was good. Everything had good flavor, portion sizes and quality matched the prices and my 3 year old was excited how big his kids pizza was! I've already told friends about this place and I'm excited to try it again next time I'm in the area.

The breakfast was amazing! And I had a iced coffee and I tasted very good. The Waitresses were super friendly.

We stopped by Tavern 4 & 5 for lunch and left totally impressed. I had the Waffle and Bacon combo, and wow—it was spot on. The waffle came out golden and warm, perfect with a pat of butter and just the right drizzle of maple syrup. The bacon was crispy, exactly how I like it. Others in our group were equally happy with their meal selection, raving about the Fried Chicken Wings, hearty Chicken Pot Pie, and the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich that disappeared fast. Service was friendly and attentive from start to finish. The staff really set the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The facility is spacious and welcoming, with seating that works for couples, families, or solo diners looking to perch at the bar and make new friends. Perfect spot for a laid-back brunch, a cozy date night, or a lively family gathering.

These guys create an exceptional environment. If you’re looking for good food in a fun, creative space, this makes a great option. Plan ahead if you want to visit on a weekend night because it gets busy.

The food here was so good! I got the cauliflower side as my meal and I kid you not I could eat that the rest of my life and be happy.

Excellent breakfast. I had the eggs Benedict and it was very good. Gouda hash browns were delicious. Good coffee. Service was good and food arrived quickly.

We were a party of three and went for breakfast around 8:30am. There was barely anyone there since it was right around when they opened. It's a bar but not even close to "bar food" quality for breakfast. The food was awesome. Very well prepared, came out quickly and you can see in the pictures the presentation was nice. The server (Lisa) was very friendly and came back multiple times to ask for drink refills and basic check ins. The atmosphere was very nice, not loud music but enough for background noise, tables far enough away to have private convos and not really be overheard, and there were flowers placed around the perimeter for ambiance. We only ate there for breakfast but if everything stays consistent through lunch and dinner, it is a place I would recommend for everyone in the area!

Chicken pot pie, version 2 this week. Sorry, not sorry! 🤣. The pot pie was delicious! The service, fantastic! First visit to the Tavern and will definitely go again!

We visited from out of town and ate here both days in a row--it's that good! Seasoning on every dish was perfectly on point, and service was fantastic both times. Good portions and a nice establishment with plenty of seating and parking. The spicy chicken meatball is absolutely phenomenal with perfect texture and seasoning. Topped with a combo of Alfredo and marinara. 👌 We had to have it again. The reuben was the best I've ever had, anywhere. Get it! The truffle fries were worth the uncharge, not because of the truffle, but they were perfectly crispy and had some delicious fresh herbs. The chocolate cake dessert was fantastic, perfect texture and not overly sweet. Comes with vanilla ice cream and a homemade chocolate sauce that were divine together. I'm afraid of becoming depressed that I've had the best meal I've ever eaten and won't have anything as good again... 😅 Foodies will absolutely appreciate the perfection of seasoning and homemade food here. It's too bad I live in another state. Don't hesitate, just go!

I really enjoy the Minute Chicken and the Cowboy Burger and my friend really enjoyed her salmon! A little on the spendier side but it's a nice non-chain option for Eden Prairie. Bar area has a lot of TVs. Highly tops, booths and regular tables as well as seating outside when the weather is nice. They also to takeout ordering.

We visited Paisley Park and decided to give the restaurant a try. No regrets! I had the smash cheeseburger with truffle Parmesan fries. Delicious! The salmon and asparagus that my cousin had was good as well. My daughter enjoyed her house salad with shrimp, which she enjoyed as well. I didn’t take a picture of my food but they did lol

Great brunch spot with something on the menu for everyone. Clean and inviting dining room is well staffed. Food was prompt and fresh, the rotisserie chicken in the burrito was a standout. Highly recommended! A second visit bumps this up to 5 stars. After exploring other options in the area this is a standout.

Exceptional. We love coming to this place and every time the service, the food, the drinks - all of it is on point. Really love the minute chicken and their old fashioned's are excellent. Ordered the bbq burger to change things up tonight and it was great. Son had the sunrise burger which is his go-to when he doesn't feel like a kids steak. Really good and beautiful to look at it.

Great breakfast experience! We arrived around 9am and were seated right away. Service was quick and server was friendly and helpful. The real star of the brunch menu is the gouda hash browns. "Worth the calories" and then some! Breakfast burrito was fine -- not spectacular, but a generous portion and filling. House made chips were impressive, a pleasant surprise. The steak and eggs was delicious and I would 100% order again. We did not have bloody Mary's but were eyeing up the ones brought to other customers-- definitely worth a try next time. Overall, solid menu, good service, and worth a visit!

What a great place for breakfast and a business meeting. Our server was fantastic with great service. The food was exceptional. Highly recommend this place.

Tried for the first time and we were not disappointed! Server was friendly and attentive and offered great recommendations! Food came out fast and tasted very good! Atmosphere was busy and fun, but not too loud so you could have a conversation. Prices reasonable for the portion size. We will be back to try more menu options or even to try breakfast.

We had the Goat and Pig pizza, tater tots, and the Korean BBQ tacos. The tacos had great taste, loved that seasoning they use, the tater tots were delish with the cheese they put in them, and the pizza had a good heat but not overbearing. Nice atmosphere in here but not too loud, Also our appetizers came out at same time as main dishes and they took those off the bill. Highly recommend!

Absolutely loved that they take reservations! What a breath of fresh air. Greatly appreciated. Was really busy when we got there. Excellent service. Lively atmosphere. Delicious mimosa. We were there for brunch and it didn't disappoint. Loved everything we ordered. Highly recommend the prosciutto and caramelized onion and balsamic vinegar glazed woodfire pizza.

I had high expectations going here for the first time as my favorite place, Hazlewood Cafe, is the same owner group. All of our dishes were spot on, the drinks were good, the dessert was fabulous and the service was good. It was a Friday night and the place was packed. Tavern 4&5, you get a solid 5 stars.

1st time here today - loved their menu and they got amazing people. Kids loved their pizza, the tenders was hot and tender 😀 and apple sauce yummy !!! Pot pie was so filling and tasty !! Wings kind of topped everything today as it was juicy and the buffalo was simply the best !! Have to come back for their breakfast menu soon!! Patio experience was great after 16months !!

My burger was absolutely delicious! Our server was quick and friendly. We sat on the patio, so super spacious and cozy. I wish my fries had been cooked a bit more but would def go here again!

The sweet chili cauliflower is AMAZING!! Love the chilli sauce and the dipping sauce. Was really impressed. We got the chicken pot pie and bang bang walleye tacos. All really good. The chicken pot pie was cozy comfort food and the bang bang walleye was filled with fish. Not like some restaurants where they skimp out ! We made a reservation and got seated right away Second time where I tried the Korean street tacos. Pretty good the rice was coconut rice - and that was a yummy

One of THE BEST restaurants I have been to in the cities! You can tell from the managers to the front line workers that they love this place and enjoy working there! The food was incredible and the atmosphere warm and welcoming!

This place is our go to in EP, clean and cozy environment, always great service and the food is 10/10! Everything here is good but my two favorites are the Nachos and the Rotisserie Chicken Sandwich with the parmesan truffle fries or Gouda hash browns! They are to die for! Give this place a go! Cheers!

Very popular locals’ hangout with one of the best happy hour deals in town. Tavern 4&5 delivers consistently great food and service. The wood-fire offerings such as their pizzas and pretzels are delicious! While it’s limited in size, they do have outdoor patio seating for the warmer months where you can try their house shandy (absolutely delicious).

This is my second time here and it just keeps getting better ! Pals we got the Thai sweet cauliflower, home made tots, and Ellsworth cheese curds. The Thai sweet cauliflower blew it out of the water ! About 6 florets deep fried and tossed in sauce garnished with some sea weed and sesame seeds and a side of yum yum sauce ! Cheese curds were pretty standard being next door to the cheese state. The tots are actually homemade. My guess is they use their same shredded potatoes as the hash browns (hint hint chefs kiss of Smokey Gouda ** delish !!!) and served with bacon ketchup. Yes great pairing ! We got the minute chicken and both decided this will be our goto dish when we come here. You can’t really say more than. Phenomenal. We also did the rotisserie chicken diner a great second choice since I’m sure the minute chicken will be sold out next time. The chicken as some mashed potatoes with some killer smoked rosemary flavor. We also did a side of the Gouda hash browns because I’ve had them before and had to share them with my partner. We also got the bread pudding for dessert with some carmel sauce. The pudding is warm and delicious, does have pecans. Props to the staff ! Esp our server Theresa whose palate is spot on. She is super friendly and welcoming !

My friend and I came here after going to an event and were seated quickly despite not having a reservation. The place was bustling but there was plenty of seating to accommodate more people. I got the garlic smash burger and my friend got the salami and hot honey pizza. The pizza was definitely the way to go as my burger was good but my friend's pizza was great. The tater tots I got with my burger weren't what I expected but it was a unique presentation of them to be sure. Our server was prompt and friendly and we were able to get our food incredibly quickly. Overall, 5 stars from me!

Great food. Excellent service. Walleye Fish and Chips were amazing. Chicken with yum yum sauce was excellent. Cold variety of beer.

The food was great and our server Ari was exceptional! Attentive, kept our drinks full, and checked in with us regularly aside while training a new girl to boot. Every step of our visit was attended to by members of the restaurant team as well and our food came out very quickly. Portions are well sized, so we left with plenty of extra for the fridge. Great experience, highly recommend this Eden Prairie gem to anyone looking for brunch, maybe a mimosa or two.

We had dinner there for the first time this week. Loved it! Great food and service. The only bad thing is that its a three hour drive for us but now that we have found it we'll be back.

A group of us girls went out for the night and searched for places to eat in Eden Prairie...threw a dart and landed on Tavern 4&5. Got a bullseye!! Food was fantastic, drinks were fantastic, service was fantastic! When looking for great places to eat bypass the chains and gamble on the outliers 9 times out of 10 they don't disappoint.

First time my husband and I have been here - we were using a Christmas gift card. We both had the smash burger alongside cheese curds and the Wednesday soup, chicken wild rice. 11/10 sooooooo good & our server Kelsey was great, she gave us the recommendations plus never let our water cups go empty! Shoutout to her and happy with this place, will be coming back for sure!

Enjoyed our first visit...food and service was great! We had dinner with relatives we had not seen for quite some time, definitely holding the table beyond the norm. However, the staff was very kind to us telling us not to rush but to enjoy! Definitely will be back!

Had Tavern 4&5 at the top of my list for a few months now and each time I went in there I really wanted to get their prime rib on Friday and Saturday nights, however, I wanted to wait until my birthday to try it which happened to fall on a Thursday. Typically sit at the bar and watch sports and when I initially arrived I was informed that they were out of I think their Pizza and ordered my usual drink while figuring out what else I wanted as far as appetizers and so forth. My drink arrived and tried to order the prime rib and was told that they were out of that. If I would have known that before I ordered my drink I probably would have went up to Moe's in Chanhassen. Instead I just decided to get the typical half chicken and a side salad. Not a great experience and I think I'm going to start putting other restaurants ahead of Tavern 4 and 5 from here on out.

Enjoyed our food but after reading reviews it appears we need to get back there for breakfast/brunch! Nice outdoor seating area, friendly service, good food. We got corn dogs and shared a pizza; everything was good, not amazing but good. Fries were tasty and well seasoned and, to our surprise, came with the corn dogs

I went to this place for the first time and they have the best nachos in town. I love the service and the server was very warm and sweet. I do recommend their pasta. The ambience is great for family and work happy hour.

I had the chicken salad sandwich and it was pretty flavorless. The salad was good and good ranch dressing but also detected a lot of garlic.

Happy hour was $10 sunny basket and a $16 jalapeno margarita. Both were good!

I had the breakfast pizza. It was good. A little more of the sausage gravy would have given it a boost of more flavor. It was big enough to share. My friend had the veggie omelet & that was very flavorful. Artesian type wheat bread was served with it & it was also good. Definitely like to try more menu items.

Their food is awesome! Be it breakfast, lunch or dinner, you can always find something good. Their Breakfast burrito, and roasted vegetable omelette are good. Their cheese curds is better than the State Fair’s. Minute Chicken is delicious! Service is mostly good but sometimes not—depends entirely on the server of course. Overall, good value for money, and best brunch around the Eden Prairie, Chanhassen, Chaska, Victoria area.

Very local hang out, holy cow.goos luck getting a bar spot at happy hour. food was excellent. Service, everyone was kind. The poor bar tender was so overworked while being sick they forgot to put in our appitizer, then walked away after correcting it when we said we needed to order food to go. then, the to go order was wrong. not their fault when they are being told they have to work while sick I look poorly upon management telling employees to come in sick and spread it sickness across their team and employees. Running, a restaurant short-handed isn't easy but in this day and age you make back up plans or know you have to come in. Nobody wants to get sick from going out for a nice meal.

Tavern 4&5 is a great experience! It has a tavern and bar atmosphere. It’s a great place to watch sporting events. It also has friendly service and great food! Totally recommend for a group attend! PS I’m related to the great reviewer and influencer John A.

Went out to dinner, just the husband and I. Had a really nice time. Service was quick and friendly. Food was good. We had the cheese curd- excellent, fish and chips- really good but terrible coleslaw, and the salmon- salmon was a little fishy, rice was great, veggie mix was really good. Husband had tap beer and I had the Pom Fizz Mocktail which was amazing! Hightop table was not steady and our server had to fix it twice. Overall, we will be going back to try other things on the menu.

Had two visits... Very uneven experiences. First visit had the Prime Rib French Dip, which was truly delicious - I wanted to drink the au jus! Spouse ordered Fish & Chips - good. On second visit I had the Smoked Brisket Melt which was a terrible mess- mushy text, meh flavor, and greasy bread. The room is extremely noisy and hard to carry a conversation without shouting. Mixed feelings about ever going back.

Marit Avalon Kottackattu

We had the BBQ Chicken Pizza & Chicken Pot Pie. The Pizza was decent, not the best we’ve had but good. It did have a lot of crust. The Chicken Pot Pie, on the other hand, was AMAZING. It comes a bit deconstructed & the “pie crust” was different than I expected. Not quite flaky like my crust usually is. But the flavor of the whole thing was great. For drinks, we had a Raspberry Lemonade which was better than average I’d say. Others in our group had a Manhattan & the Maple Bourbon Smash. They weren’t big fans of either. The Maple Bourbon Smash was more of a cocktail & VERY sweet. The Manhattan seemed more like straight whiskey than a mixed drink & we probably wouldn’t get again. The service was ok, not outstanding but not horrible either.

I visited the restaurant on Saturday, 1/10 for a dinner reservation with my fiancé. Everything was fine until we ordered food, we placed our order and our waiter returns a couple minutes later telling me that I cannot get the baked rigatoni due to staff shortage. It was very disappointing to hear that because that is the only menu item that I really enjoy at Tavern 4 and 5. I order something else and we eat. We then overhear a nearby table with a different waiter be told a list of items that were unavailable due to staff shortage. We were never given this list or informed prior to ordering. I would’ve appreciated being informed at the hostess stand as we would have went elsewhere instead of waiting 45 minutes for a table (we had a reservation but showed early to see if something was available sooner). I find it odd that so many items weren’t available on a Saturday night and without notice. Lastly, when we asked for the check, we were given a check that only had the food total (and not the drinks). If we hadn’t been paying close attention and realized that the bill seemed cheap, then we would’ve only paid for the food and left, thinking that we were squared away. I don’t like the idea that I had to go up to the bar and ask for a bill for the drinks which then came on a separate bill. I’m betting that if we weren’t paying attention and had only paid for the food, the restaurant or staff would think they were shorted or ‘stolen’ from by us (which would not have been our fault). We’ve typically enjoy our trips to Tavern 4 and 5 but this one was quite disappointing. Lastly, I originally emailed these concerns directly to the restaurant but I never got a response and so I am posting them here now too.

Had an old fashioned and it tasted like I was drinking fireball, did not enjoy that. The deviled eggs appetizer was ok but kind of salty on the back end. The chicken pot pie seemed more like cream of chicken soup with a pasty placed on top. The fries were the highlight of the meal being the least salty and best tasting thing we tried. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive.

K
Kelsey Underwood

Such a terrible experience here I had one drink, my husband had 2 drinks, and we ordered an appetizer (don’t get the deviled eggs, they’re terrible) we were there for over an hour. The manager (Dave) came out to the parking lot where we were smoking a cigarette (cause we don’t smoke in our car) and asked us if we were okay to drive and kind of harassed us about it. Such a joke.
