Famous Dave's - Minnetonka

We ordered the family sampler and it was great! Food was more than enough for us all and the meal lasted us a couple days. It's all good, no matter the choice. The beans though... Those beans... Are just delicious.

Great food, and service is quick and friendly. Their lunch meat platters are a great deal. I was impressed by the portion sizes on the 2 and 3 meat combos for under $12. The jalepeno cheddar sausage is fantastic.

Excellent and speedy service yet very tasty food! The feast for 2uesday deal is excellent especially with friends! Environment is very upscale and clean as well! Highly recommend!

I often bring many people from all over the world to this place as BBQ is not common elsewhere, and you can't go wrong with Famous Dave's in general. This location has always been consistent with their food, prices, and great services. The different BBQ sauces is what oftentimes bring me back to this joint.

A family favorite. Consistently good food. The beef brisket is incredibly tender and flavorful. Love the corn muffins and baked beans too. Portion sizes are big. Plan to have leftovers or share.

My partner and I love this place! Really great BBQ, food arrived hot and fast. Our server was friendly and attentive. we got the pick 3 combo and it didn't disappoint.

This is by far the best Famous Dave's we have been in. Menu and table service is great. Food is consistent and excellent. The wait staff is so friendly and helpful. The restaurant was extremely busy and everyone was served promptly with a smile. Just a great place.

Had to wait 25 minutes for a table at 7:30 on a Friday night. Excellent waitress, explained answer to a menu question, was very proactive about noticing about when our table needed soda refills and all-you-can-eat-catfish refills, no awkward lulls in food or service. Great experience.

I visited this location for the first time recently and ordered the founder's feast. The food was delicious and was enough to feed two people. I was also greeted by a very friendly and professional gentleman who graciously answered my questions. Definitely recommend this location and will be returning.

Everything was delicious!!! We also had your Bread Pudding and in our opinion it is the BEST dessert you can get in any restaurant!

My family has gone to Famous Dave’s for 20 years. We dine there at least 2 times a week. The reason for dining there is the best service from Julia and Stacy. We have gone to many excellent restaurants and had many amazing servers but nobody is better than Julia and Stacy. They make us feel like family, always so pleasant and charming. I hope management realizes they have a couple of jewels in Julia and Stacy. Great servers are hard to find and they are good loyal employees who represent the Famous Dave’s tradition with style. Ask for Julia and Stacy and I promise your dining experience will make you coming back to Famous Dave’s forever.

Great with everything! I really appreciate this particular Dave's as they have the most menu options and phenomenal quality. I recommend especially lunch before 3pm Oh only one small issue is when getting food to go my 🥗 is warm due to being packed in the same bag as hot food items

My family stopped by the Minnetonka ,MN location to celebrate the 4th of July and our birthday's (Father & daughter). The food was excellent and our service top notch at what was a new location for us (Dad & Mom). The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant was very nice adding to a very enjoyable early afternoon dinner. Thanks so much!

The absolutely best delivered meal. Ordered the feast. All the food came hot, juicy, and delicious! It is worth every penny. We had so much food that it fed 6 people and there is enough meat and steak fries for another meal for 6. Highly recommend!

I haven't eaten here in years, mostly because I have been living out of the area. It still delivers just as good as always. Very happy to find many of my old favorites (Cajun Chicken Sand, and Catfish Fingers) still on the menu and just as good as ever. Can't wait to get more yummy 'que!

It's been awhile since I have stopped at a Famous Dave's. Mostly because I hadn't had great experiences, but was with a group of guys and we decided to go here. This was the best Famous Dave's I've ever been to. Food was great, not dry, soo good. Thank you for rejuvenating my thoughts of what this restaurant should be

I ordered take-out shortly after Thanksgiving using FD’s phone app and a $10 off offer that was texted me. They offer #1 of smoked sliced turkey for $14. I added my favorite FD’s sides of Cole slaw, gravy & Wilbur’s beans. Follow-up alert notified me my order was received & was warm and ready when I arrived 30 min after ordering. I had ordered quart-size sides but a pint of each had been received as the order and subsequently filled. So a minor glitch in the phone app software but I had to use the app in order to receive the $10 off. The order was corrected in a few minutes. Food was delicious and made three meals for me over the next 2 days. The manager acknowledged the software glitch. FD’s has had problems with their phone app over the last three years but at least the order was received and ready with minor changes upon arrival. I highly recommend FD Minnetonka for their great food, special offers & reward program and friendly staff. Phone app works but if you order quart-size portions, I would use the app to order but call the store to make sure your order was conveyed accurately.

Came in on Labor Day and it was empty, great choice for dinner! Not used to it being so quiet, but it was nice. Food was great, burger & fries, my friend had ribs. Waitress was bored and chatty, but fun. Ice tea refills never happened. Bathroom was grubby and could have been alot cleaner!

The best Famous Dave's in the cities. Always solid food here, good service and the restraunt is kept clean

I've been to famous thieves many times but this is the first time we had to go to the counter to order our food and then go and sit down. I told them it was a lot like fast food. They agreed, but that's the way it goes food was good though.

Came here for dinner with Grandma and left feeling like a raccoon who just found a feast on a garbage can lid, in the best possible way. The vibe? Wonderful. The food? Classic, unapologetic American BBQ. The bathrooms? Covered in signs and slogans, as they should be. Our server was attentive and kind, checked in just enough to make us feel welcome but gave us plenty of space to enjoy our meal and conversation. We sat inside, because we’re not animals who eat outdoors. That said, they do have a lovely fountain on the patio if you’re into that sort of thing, perfect for gazing at while your BBQ is drenched in Devil’s Spit. This is, in my humble but correct opinion, the best Famous Dave’s in the Twin Cities metro. Hands down.

Great BBQ restaurant that opens pretty late and offered dine-in in late June. Had a fantastic combo meal that serves 2-3 that the 2 of us couldn’t finish in one sitting and had to take quite a few home. The super moist chicken was extremely surprising. The thigh was beautifully cooked and just the right amount of tender with the juices still inside. Paired with the spicy BBQ sauce made for a party inside the mouth. Pork spare ribs was nice and juicy as well. The beef brisket was ok but definitely not the highlight as there didn’t seem to much fat and was quite lean. Was able to swap out some of the standard sides for some more premium sides with a smaller portion which was fantastic since we weren’t super hungry. The cornbread muffins were a perfect dessert. The service was fantastic and the server was great at checking in on the table periodically and proactive water refills. The only reason I had to dock a star was not allowing outdoor seating since there wasn’t enough servers when there was plenty of physical space.

I was slightly disappointed that I only received 2 ribs (plus cost of an additional $1) with the 3-meat combo. Otherwise the food was good. Cannot beat FD’s cornbread muffins!

Brisket Burnt ends were ok, nothing to write home about. Burnt end portions were a little small. Service was excellent and the place was clean.

The food was alright. Fun to try something a little different. Service was excellent!!! Its a bit spendy for what you get tho. The atmosphere felt really squished. They should get rid of a row of tables in there. Far to close to eachother. If there wasn't so many tables and chairs I think the anosphere would be really nice.

Service was okay, food was decent. Burnt buttz were good, but not hot(temp wise). I had the pulled chicken sandwich. Bottom bun was pretty soggy. Fries were crispy. It's weird, I feel like if the food was warmer and the chicken sandwich more shredded and pulled as opposed to chunks/chopped, and had more sauce and less soggy of a bun this place would be a solid 4 star. Also the pickles had a weird taste to them...the initial taste reminded me of sushi(so so weird)

Went for Mother’s Day - I don’t know what’s happened but this was not the food that I remember. Rib tips were horribly fatty and not tender. Don’t waste your money at this place.

I haven’t eaten there in years ordered to go Unfortunately when arriving home and opening the food, we realized that the portions were so small. They look like children’s meals. The food itself was decent to good, but I didn’t expect to have to cook another dish alongside after paying $35 for two people

The space itself is a great space. Well designed, and well kept. Plenty of parking surrounding the establishment. The main entrance is only on one side of the restaurant. Fun stuff all around the restaurant, pies looked great (although I didn't have any) You can learn from the fun items found around the cashier. Food wasn't great at all. It's usually good, but this time it wasn't good. This is my first time eating at this location. I'll come back to see if its a consistent thing with the food.

I ordered brisket. I swear it was beef, microwaved! No smoke flavor, no bark - pathetic!. Beans, just so-so. The Diet Pepsi and service was great.

My company ordered a meal for us. I said I don’t care much for bbq sauce personally so just get me the chicken salad sandwich which comes with BBQ Mayo, cheese, pickles, onion, chopped celery, lettuce, and tomato. Oh yeah, and that thing most sandwiches have, a bun. Instead I got a dry piece of chicken that would be considered child abuse if it were served in a school cafeteria, a bag of chips, and a cornbread muffin. I don’t know whether to call Interpol and report a war crime because this food would make a military ration look like a Michelin star feast, or ask if the cook needs to be put on suicide watch because whoever threw this in a box was surely depressed as hell.

Keep looking for Texas Brisquet. This brisket is so thinky sliced that it comes up well done. Not juicy or fatty. Don’t waste your time with their dried bbq. Only place in Minnesota I found like Texas is Bakers ribs in Eden Prairie. Look at the photo. It says it all

Ordered chicken tenders to go, received chicken jerky nuggets that I fed to my dog. Dried out and visibly well done little chicken bits. I see other reviews complaining about the tenders so I'm not the only one. The cook must not have any pride or quality control to let something like that out for order. Also I see the owner responds with some generic survey response to any customer concerns. How about instead of wasting time here relay this info to your staff and fix the issue. Not many famous daves left I'd hate to see them all go out. Thanks, have a nice day.

Such sad bbq. I got the two meat combo and my chopped pork was mostly fat, and the brisket was SO dried out, and literally had zero flavor. Will not be coming back. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a famous Dave’s but I remember it being better than this. Bummer.

This has to be the worst location in the franchise. It’s a pretty building, but the service is terrible, and the food is always worse than the other locations. I don’t understand why this one is so bad, but we refuse to go here anymore. If you want Famous Daves, make the trip to a different location.

Inedible Brisket. Been coming here for years. Lately the food quality has gone down. Today was as low as it can go. The brisket was chewy and mostly hard gristle. The two of us that ordered had the same low quality brisket. It was inedible. The roasted chicken was also undercooked. We stopped dining inside over a year ago. The remodeled interior is as sterile and plain as you would expect at a retirement home cafeteria. What a disappointment. Used to be our go to Bbq joint but after a slow decline and the inedible food that we just received we are now done for good.
