We celebrated our first anniversary here, and everything was simply perfect. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. We were greeted with a cheerful ‘Welcome, happy anniversary!’ and the service was impeccable throughout the evening. Every detail made the experience memorable. I highly recommend this place — my husband and I left with our hearts full and expectations exceeded.
Wow! What a wonderful restaurant experience. And unlike many other "fansy" restaurants, this one truly is a memorable one. The people who work here are definitely brighter than you're average wait staff. The atmosphere is fantastic (unless you have a fear of chandeliers, because they are everywhere). The food was delicious and creative. Everyone here was beautiful. 😲😁
I had dinner for a friend’s birthday, and it was a great experience. The place is absolutely beautiful—glass ceiling, greenery, chandeliers, and a cozy rooftop vibe that makes it perfect for special occasions. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food was excellent. I ordered the Grilled Shrimp and the Whole Grilled Branzino—both were fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. It is on the pricier side, but the atmosphere and quality of the food make it worth it. A great spot if you want to celebrate or just enjoy a memorable night out.
I’ve visited this place a few times, from casual hangouts with a colleague to birthday celebrations. Every time I come here, I can’t help but notice that the food consistently tastes delicious. The flavors are delicious, and the serving sizes are reasonable. The broiled king salmon, fried chicken sando, roadside lobster roll, shaved ribeye, and grilled shrimp are all perfectly cooked. The plain fries, sweet potato fries, and truffle fries are also cooked to the right doneness. The chef and the rest of the kitchen staff have done an amazing job. However, I find the shrimp a bit more expensive for eight pieces. Nevertheless, when it was served, the charred taste, savory flavor, and perfect cooking were all great. The affogato is a delightful dessert consisting of creamy vanilla ice cream and a generous shot of espresso. I appreciate the simplicity of their dessert menu, but I would love to see some additional pastry options or cakes added. As a dessert enthusiast, I’m always on the lookout for better dessert choices. We had an Arnold Palmer and an R.H. Bellini for drinks. I’m not a big fan of alcohol, but the Bellini was one of the best drinks I’ve had. I love the creamy peach taste, and it’s a perfect combination with Prosecco. It’s pricey for a flute glass of sparkling wine, but the taste justifies the price. The service was excellent, and the staff was very attentive. The restaurant itself is very aesthetically pleasing. On the lower level, they have a beautifully designed showroom for home furniture that you can freely explore and take pictures of. The overall experience was amazing, despite the high price. The food was tasty, the service was good, and the ambiance was great.
We LOVE RH Rooftop! The food is fabulous and good quality. Christianna was our server tonight and she was over the top incredible! Loved getting to meet her and would love to ask for her next time we come! So friendly, hospitable, caring, knowledgeable, attentive to detail, etc…. The steaks were perfectly tender, the salads perfectly dressed, the banana split was so delicious and the coffee drinks were smooth and balanced! What a beautiful night and beautiful ambiance to celebrate a 40th birthday! Thank you for a fun splendid evening!
Visited in June around 5 PM. This is honestly one of the best places for a date or special celebration. The vibe is really nice—classy, calm, and not too loud, so you can actually talk and enjoy the moment with loved one. The food is definitely on the pricier side, but you're paying for more than just the meal. The whole experience—great mood, super clean space, and top-notch service—makes it worth it. And yes, the food tasted amazing! I tried three different drinks and they were all great. The staff was super flexible—if you have any preferences, just let them know. We even had a couple drinks made non-alcoholic, and they were still amazing. Parking was super easy, which is always a plus. They also have patio but it’s only for drinks, not dining.
Decided to come here for the first time to celebrate my anniversary. SO glad we chose this spot. Parking was very easy, the hostesses and our server Andrew and made us feel very special. All the staff was great. We Loved it, from the food, atmosphere and service. We were not disappointed and will be back again! We got here at 7pm and it just got more and more romantic as the sun set! We can’t wait to experience it again and come back to see the gallery! What a great spot for a date night!
Had a wonderful holiday luncheon here with my clients. Claire was our server and was lovely and exceptionally attentive. The bus boys and food runners were also notably friendly and fun. All four of us chose lobster rolls and fries for something fun and fabulous. They were great, but the apps were the real stars of the show. We LOVED the charcuterie board, crispy artichokes and burrata. It was a wonderful time and I'm so grateful I chose this location for our special lunch. Props to the host for also offering to take our picture by the fountain. Thank you to the entire team for a memorable experience!
Absolutely thrilled with our experience at RH Rooftop Restaurant Minneapolis! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance took our breath away—elegant, inviting, and perfectly set up for a memorable experience. The food was nothing short of exceptional, each dish bursting with flavors that left us eagerly anticipating the next bite. The staff deserves a special shout-out too; their attentiveness and expertise in etiquette made us feel incredibly well-cared for. Every aspect of our visit felt well-worth it, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. Highly recommend for anyone looking to elevate their dining experience!
Came to celebrate my friend’s 30th birthday. Atmosphere is amazing. The service was also phenomenal. I’ll have to return to try their other items on their menu. Recommend the butterscotch brûlée and the rib eye. It was amazing. The downstairs area closes on time and they are strict with closing. Not allowed to view anything or sit on their sofas. So make sure you account for their hours if you are planning to check it out after dinner.
I’ve come here a few times and each time was a nice experience. The food is great. Price is slightly on the higher end but with the service and environment, you kind of expect that. Lobster roll is pretty good. It’s not heavily seasoned and preserves the taste in lobster itself. The decorative plants in this restaurant are all fake in case that’s what caught your attention. I think it makes sense tho - it’s easier to maintain and no bugs. Edit: I went there again and tried the half chicken and wild mushrooms. Both tasted great. I’m starting to see that nothing here is covered in heavy sauce but simply very well cooked. The chicken was very juicy and tender just by itself.
From the staff, to the atmosphere, to the food RH is all around a wonderful experience. My husband made a reservation for dinner, we were seated by the fountain and at first I thought I would be splashed with water but that wasn’t the case, the fountain is perfectly placed and I walked away dry. We got a bottle of sparkling water for the table, and few glasses of sparkling wine. The waitress poured and refilled our water, we never did it ourselves. Between courses they came around and wiped the crumbs from our table. Which was a first for me but, it’s one of those little things that just made our experience that much better. I wasn’t a fan of the Prosciutto shared plate but I loved the mashed potatoes with chives, and the salmon. There is so much thought put into the little details especially in the bathrooms! All in all this is an experience I believe is worthwhile and that everyone should have at least once.
Wow! Just wow! Fantastic place for celebration or just a special date night. I Walked in at night and was wowed! Gorgeous setting— beautiful. The lights, chandeliers, fountains, and spacious dining spots with room for intimacy. View of the area lights and sunset also seen from the elevated location. Service is amazing. Friendly and attentive staff— warm, personable— and even funny. Food - shaved beef sandwich and truffle fries. Delicious! And bread is that nice crispy on the outside and soft inside kind. Meat tender and flavorful. Also a bonus experience, we got to to help celebrate someone’s 16th birthday next to us. She was quietly given a cookie with a candle in it. Her father sang to her in softly. It was very sweet and special. Drink- a huge selection. Bar available to stand at before seating. Lots of wine pairings. Reservations recommended.
Had a wonderful birthday lunch last Friday with the bestie. The ambiance was wonderful, the service was fantastic, drinks were on point and they even brought a warm, delicious birthday cookie. So glad we celebrated there!!
My first here, and I love this place. I will come back here for sure. The top floor is where the restaurant and the rest of the floors are the showroom for furniture and other items RH is selling. The food is great. I had the baked chicken, very tender. My friends had the lobster Roll not much choices with desserts. Great selections of wines.
First impressions: The restaurant is beautiful and airy. I had a reservation and was seated right away. I was limited in offerings due to a gluten allergy, but my waiter recommended the shaved vegetable salad. I was surprised how light, but flavorful it was. Perfectly proportioned and dressed. I would love to return for dinner in the future, but was really happy with the service and food at lunchtime.
This place is beyond amazing and highly recommended if you have a special occasion to celebrate or if you want to have a super romantic dinner. Yes, it's very expensive but you pay for the incredible rooftop, the over the top service, the wonderful atmosphere and the fancy food. We tried the crispy artichokes for appetizer: they were very tasty! They come with potatoes and a side of rosemary aioli. The shaved ribeye sandwich was to die for: amazing bread, juicy, tender and tasty meat. It does not come with fries but we ordered them on the side (very good!) and we also tried the truffle fries (recommended if you want to try something different!). They offer a limited menu with almost no desserts (only icecream and cookies). I will go back for sure for another special occasion.
Wow this place is beautiful made more beautiful because it’s a glass enclosed rooftop venue. Crystal Chandeliers grace the entire ceiling floating above each table with a huge palatial chandelier situated above an elegant graceful fountain. If you’re aiming to impress your client or mark a special occasion or propose to that special someone this is the place to do it. Me and my honey had a shared meal. Everything is a la carte’ while service was quick for an early dinner we were a little disappointed that they brought our entire meal out at the same time, to much for our tiny 2 person marble topped table. We ordered a Shrimp cocktail that was accompanied by a lemon flavored sauce and and a cocktail sauce with shaved horse radish. They didn’t skimp on the shrimp they were cocked to perfection and fairly large and juicy… so enticing that we dug in before I took the picture. Can you tell that I like chandeliers?!!!! And fountains!!! green house salad that was little more that a pile of arugula with a couple slivers of radish, while I enjoyed it the wife thought it bitter and inedible. Sweet potato fries, which could have come out first because everybody knows fries are supposed to be eaten while hot and crispy. Accompanied by delicious sauce A slab of salmon that was, meh? Nothing to write home about. Tasty and delish but merely ok and a pile of arugula to keep the salmon company. All in all the prices were right for the portions. We would have gotten dessert, but their dessert menu was a little immature for a fine establishment. Chocolate chip cookies?? Sorbet, ice cream. Specialty coffees What were we expecting? Maybe a signature delectable chocolate cake layered with mousse and decorated with raspberries, A celebratory Bananas Foster Flambe’, a creamy rich turtle cake slathered in smooth caramel? A flight of cream puffs or truffles…Nothing too fancy! Well we were told a new menu is on the way we’ll be back.
Wow what an amazing restaurant with glass walls and ceiling. The food was so much better than i expected. The chicken was slightly undercooked at the bone (thigh and leg). The salmon was nice done. The veggies were nice and grilled. Great dinner date experience. Recommend
We celebrated a Birthday and had an amazing time. As soon as we entered we marveled over the beautiful furniture at the gallery. Service was awesome… the atmosphere was beautiful… and our food was amazing. I ordered the Lobster roll and wish that I had room in my stomach for two.
This is a great relax an calm place to have a great time with your friends and family. We ordered cheeseburgers, fries, salmon and a prosciutto and Delice board The cheeseburger was good, the salmon was great and I loved the cheese in the prosciutto board. Service was very friendly and welcoming, the atmosphere is lovely
This place have amazing ambience. Loved the architecture of the building and the food was great. They could have more dessert options but no complaints. The ribeye sandwich they have is amazing and loved it. Burrata could have been more delicious. If you are looking to have a nice talk on there terrace once you are done with the dinner this is the place. Amazing outdoors ambience and loved the way they maintained it. They should start outdoors night dinning too in summers if that’s an options 😀 overall this place was amazing and must try.
Stunning, gorgeous place. Expensive but their dishes are big and you can share. I love their avocado toast , fries and please order their bacon. Service is great!
A Culinary Escape at RH Rooftop, Edina: A Must Read Review Nestled atop the chic RH showroom in Edina, MN, RH Rooftop Dining offers a dining experience that transcends the ordinary and transports patrons to a realm of elegance and sophistication. As I stepped into this exquisite venue, I was immediately enveloped in an atmosphere defined by its tasteful decor—a harmonious blend of plush furnishings, ornate gold-framed mirrors, and an inviting warmth that beckons guests to linger. The ground floor, a stylish retail space, serves as a prelude to the culinary adventure that awaits above. A welcoming greeter, brimming with genuine hospitality, guided us to the elevator, which afforded a seamless ascent to the dining area. It is worth noting the establishment's commitment to accessibility, ensuring that all guests can partake in the experience without hindrance. For me this was important, as being one with a disability. Upon exiting the elevator, one is instantly transported into a captivating sanctuary. The restaurant is adorned with stunning chandeliers that cast a soft glow over the space, while a fully functional water fountain adds a soothing element to the ambiance. The panoramic views of the city provide a breathtaking backdrop, complemented by a wine bar that invites exploration. Our greeting from the Maître d’ was equally delightful; her warm demeanor set the tone for what would become an exceptional evening. Seated in plush comfort, we were fortunate to have Haley as our waitress—a consummate professional whose attentiveness and genuine passion for her work shone through. Her ability to make us feel like the sole focus of her attention enhanced our dining experience immeasurably. Now, to the culinary offerings: we began with a tantalizing cup of truffle fries, accompanied by six generously sized grilled shrimp. As a pescatarian, I was thrilled by the selection, and the shrimp did not disappoint. Prepared to perfection, they were succulent and served at the ideal temperature, with a presentation that was as pleasing to the eye as it was to the palate. For our entrees, I indulged in the WHOLE GRILLED BRANZINO, accompanied by an olive oil-grilled lemon, while my dining companion savored the 14oz sliced CHARRED RIBEYE, cooked medium. Both dishes were visual masterpieces, and the flavors were equally divine. The branzino was seasoned impeccably, allowing the grilled essence to dance gracefully on the tongue, while the fish's flesh was so tender that it could be effortlessly separated with a fork. My wife’s steak was equally remarkable; its buttery texture required little more than the gentlest pressure to cut through, epitomizing the art of steak preparation. While we opted to forgo dessert this evening, it was clear that the establishment caters to a tastefully attired clientele, balancing sophistication with a relaxed elegance. Our total bill, approximately $200 including drinks, felt justified given the quality of the food and service, with entrees ranging from a reasonable $28 upward. In summary, RH Rooftop Dining stands as a beacon of upscale dining without the exorbitant price tag often associated with such experiences. From the welcoming staff to the culinary delights, our visit was nothing short of extraordinary. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a memorable dining experience in Edina. We eagerly anticipate our next visit to this culinary gem. Thank you CJ, your team, your chef, and our waitress Haley!
We had a great experience. Came to celebrate our mother’s birthday , which was tough being only a month ago our father passed away. It was a needed distraction for her. Food was great. Shaved beef was delish. Kale salad is big enough to share. Fries are tasty. Our server Kaio was so friendly and thank you for the cookies. Wonderful sweet ending.
Service and the food here is always amazing whenever I go. It is a bit on the pricier end so I only go when I mean to splurge or celebrate something special. Nonetheless, the atmosphere is amazing, and the food doesn't disappoint either. Staff are always incredible and I always feel welcomed.
We had an amazing experience at RH Rooftop. Our server, Claire, was absolutely outstanding — truly a 10/10. She was attentive, kind, and made sure everything was perfect from start to finish. It’s rare to come across service that feels this genuine and professional at the same time. Claire made the night feel special and elevated the whole dining experience. Highly recommend asking for her if you want top-tier service!
Long overdue, but after visiting here multiple times, I figured I should give readers an idea of what to expect upon visiting here. I have been here three times in 2021 and 2022 and have always had brunch, and overall I liked their food. It was already not that affordable during that time, so one can imagine how much more dishes cost now. There was clearly a reason that the RH Scramble stayed on the menu for many years and I could attest to it. The scrambled eggs were very tender and flavorful, and abundant in amount. I could taste that they added crème fraîche and I knew that made a difference. Having a piece of avocado next to the eggs was a huge plus, too. The shaved ribeye on charred garlic bread dish was great as well, with the ribeye cooked to medium and remained juicy, making the entire sandwich a rich and pleasant one. The avocado toast leaned towards the simple side because there was a poached egg on the side, which I thought was a good enough idea. The potato purée had good soft texture but was too buttery in taste. Almost every other side dish, from the truffle fries to the charred broccolini to the wild mushrooms, were way too salty, and the vegetables were pretty dry. It was clear what dishes the establishment had chosen to prioritize. One highlight worth mentioning was that the decoration was one of the fanciest I have seen in the cities, with chandeliers on the ceiling and everything in the room looking like quartz or silver, to the point that when I first came here for brunch, my friends and I all decided to dress up.
Amazing dinner! Truly so good. It was raining so we couldn’t enjoy the patio but it looked beautiful. The food was pricey but worth it, in my opinion. The only thing I would shy away from is the prosciutto board. Maybe I am just not that refined of a pallet but it was literally 6 slices of prosciutto, 2 chunks of parm, a few grapes and half a loaf of bread. It didn’t exactly match the 25 dollar price tag to me. The lobster roll and steak were WELL worth their cost. As were the cocktails. And the caramel bananas foster was one of the best deserts I have ever eaten
The interior is gorgeous and very instagramable. The food on the other hand was not quite as impressive. Our servers were amazing and definitely earn their tips! Would I return? Probably not... the food is expensive for no reason and is basic in flavor. Perhaps this is what they were going for but you could have much better tasting good elsewhere for a fraction of the prices here. I got the lobster roll and truffle fries. I thought it tasted fine but my party did not like the truffle fries lol be weary if you have not tried truffles before. It's not for everyone.
RH Restaurant is a fantastic experience! You can wander through beautiful furniture displays with stunning lighting honestly, you could just chill there. But the food is also delicious their crispy chicken sandwich truly lives up to its name. The only downside is no fries with the sandwiches, but the price is comparable to other similar restaurants. Definitely try to arrive around 7 PM for the sunset! Highly recommend.
So I’ve been holding out going to RH Rooftop because the menu seemed underwhelming but a few weeks ago, a friend suggested that we go there after Ikea. The place is stunning. The staff is extraordinary. The food is beautifully plated and delicious too. I'd like to see more variety in their menu. Maybe some signature dishes that other restaurants don't have. Overall, the view is worth the visit all by itself. Get there. Have your own RH Rooftop Restaurant experience. Menu: Peach Bellini Burrata Avocado Toast Smoked Salmon Truffle Fries
The ambiance was great! It's beautiful, the host and the waitress were very nice. I loved the salad and the pureed potatoes. My husband's steak was very nice, I got roasted chicken it was good, but not how I envisioned it. It would be nice if they had more varieties of non alcohol cocktails.
Nice fancy restaurant offering a variety of main course and appetizers. The quality of food is good l, but I believe it can be improved. The service is excellent and the seating and atmosphere is comfortable and classy.
Really beautiful venue. Service was phenomenal in that many people came to the table to help. Food quality was excellent. My one issue is after we had wine we switched to diet coke through dessert and the server charged us $25 for diet coke and didn't tell us he was charging us for a refill. Poor way of padding the tab.
Great ambience, well maintained restaurant with a simple and elegant menu. We ordered Burrata, RH burger, Broiled Salmon, truffled fries, Sebastian Joe's mango ice cream. The quantity of food is unpredictable. We received more than enough quantity for truffled fries. Easy to navigate through the menu, friendly staff, great ambience and good food. What else I could ask for.
Visited RH Rooftop Restaurant for an early Valentine's celebration, finding both charm and areas for improvement. The setting is undeniably romantic, perfect for special occasions and Instagram-worthy photos, especially on the third floor with food and in the furniture showroom downstairs. Our server was delightful, offering great service and even helping us capture the moment. However, the culinary experience didn't quite match the splendid atmosphere. My shaved ribeye on charred garlic bread, accompanied by truffle fries, was generally good but marred by uneven seasoning and untrimmed fat. My husband's lobster roll, though featuring tender lobster, felt too simple and lacked seasoning. Dessert options were limited to a house-made cookie or ice cream, which felt underwhelming given the setting. While the ambiance and photo opportunities make it a place worth revisiting, I hope for improvement in the food department to match the overall experience.
The atmosphere is stunning; perfect spot for a date night and many photo ops, especially around sunset. The food is average but the wine selection is superb. We had the lobster roll, fries, half chicken and two rose variations.
RH Rooftop has amazing ambience. A great place to take friends visiting out of town or to enjoy a family meal on the weekends. The menu is bit pricy but the place really looks amazing. The food is beautifully plated and they all taste great.
the food is simply okay! everything we ordered, we thought we could easily find or make better ourselves. for example, the roast chicken was just alright—a rotisserie chicken from the grocery store would top it easily. it wasn’t tender, well-seasoned, or remarkable. everything here is quite lightly seasoned and lacks punchy flavor that i would have liked. service here though is top notch and the ambiance is great, but the food quality isn’t up there like it once was. now there’s nothing really to go back there for.
Beautiful atmosphere but food is very overpriced. Definitely go for the ambience but don’t expect to be blown away by the food. Desserts were 10/10 but main entrees were a little underwhelming & we had the roast chicken and the sirloin baguette sand-which.
We had a wonderful time at RH Rooftop overall. The food was excellent from start to finish. The Crispy Artichokes were perfectly cooked and well-seasoned, and both the Chinese Chicken Salad and the Grilled Shrimp and Vegetable Salad were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The dessert was also a nice touch and made the meal feel special. The service was outstanding. Our server was kind, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We felt well taken care of the entire evening. The atmosphere is upscale and stylish, with beautiful design elements that make it feel like a unique experience. However, we were seated near the waterfall feature, which turned out to be louder than we expected. It made conversation a bit difficult at times, so something to keep in mind if you're hoping for a quieter table. One part of the experience that caught us off guard was being served bottled still water without being informed there would be a charge. It was $10 per bottle, and while we don’t mind paying for premium touches, we would have appreciated knowing that in advance. Overall, the food and service were top-tier, but the unexpected water charge and loud seating location brought the experience down a notch. Still worth checking out, just be sure to ask a couple of clarifying questions when you’re seated.
Beautiful design and welcomed atmosphere. Delicious food BUT my strawberries had mold on it. My throat started to scratch because I am allergic to mold and I started looking at it and saw mold on one of the strawberries which is not acceptable! They did ask me before I was ordering the food if I’m allergic to anything and I said no but I had no idea I needed to mention that I am allergic to mold. Had to take my meds and left disappointed although everything else was good.
Went here for a family birthday dinner. Experience = ordinary food with a VERY high price tag. We really liked the space, especially at night, but for a $100 per person meal with drinks I expected some impressive food or an experience to go along with it. My girlfriend and I split the lobster roll and shaved ribeye - some very expensive sandwiches that were not super impressive. Something about the whole experience just felt non-authentic. We also ordered the truffle fries, regular fries, and heirloom broccolini for the table to split - they were all okay. Definitely expected more of a "WOW" factor for how much we spent. I could list 50 or more other restaurants in the Twin Cities that would be worth that price tag. I will not be coming back (unless someone else is paying) and would recommend looking elsewhere for a fine dining restaurant.
Great place for IG/social media but with expensive and average tasting dishes. Hard to deny the fact that this restaurant is wonderfully decorated. Spot clean and perfect for a date or taking out your partner when you want to impress with them an expensive meal with fancy decor, or celebrating an anniversary. (This is the place to "flex" on social media if you ever need to.) Checked out this place due to the amazing pictures I've always seen people take on social media and the food pictures looked convincing. 3 out of 5 because food fell short of taste and flavor. They definitely are cooking with fresh ingredients but the seasoning was lacking. To be concise and competely honest in my opinion, we spent nearly $40 for a chicken when Cub Foods/Sam's club rotisserie chicken tasted better. The burger was well presented but didn't have the punch it needed for a $22 dish (Red Cow's is better which also includes the option of truffle fries). Most importantly, my order of the sliced ribeye sandwich was mistaken for ordering an actual ribeye which came out to $60. Steak was overcooked and more charred/burned with black than that perfect golden brown sear one should expect. Would have appreciated some attempts to adjust the price difference of the dishes as well given it was our waiter's mistake of mishearing the order. Overall, if you're spending over $200-300 on a fancy meal, one should expect the experience to be seamless or at least a little less than perfect. Had food been perfectly cooked and service more timely it would have been an easy 5/5. (Sorry, forgot to take a photo of the steak!)
This place pisses me off. Yes the rooftop is beautiful but the food is genuinely SO mediocre it’s mind boggling. I’m convinced that the people who are leaving 5 star reviews have never had a genuinely delicious meal in their life. You can tell in other reviewers pictures the burger looks identical to a Chili’s or Applebees burger. 3 stars bc the atmosphere is definitely a 5 but the food for the price is a 1. I will gladly give people recommendations to better restaurants that are also beautiful.
I wish I had a better review to give as I've heard good things about RH. Alas, I cannot give a decent review as the cost/quality meter was way off. We don't mind paying for good food, but the food was subpar, bland, boring. The expensive burger didn't come with fries, seriously?! The chicken sandwich dry and no sauce, boring! The basic breakfast came with potatoes, but half of them were just fried pieces of potato scraps, with you guessed it, no seasoning! There was no butter on the bread nor any condiment with the bread. Very disappointing! We'll be spending our money somewhere else that has a cost/ quality ratio that better aligns to the offerings.
Fiancé booked my birthday dinner for our first time there. We were asked why we were there and had to remind the staff even though it was detailed in our reservation. The staff did not mention my birthday again all evening and promptly forgot to acknowledge it in any way. Yeesh happy birthday to me… At least the food was tasty and the wine was good.
absolutely love Restoration Hardware as a brand and a store — their design and atmosphere are stunning. But as a restaurant, it’s simply overpriced. I’ve been there multiple times, and every time I leave feeling the same way: the food is just average. There’s really nothing special about it, especially for the price you pay. You can easily find better-tasting food elsewhere for much less. Yes, the atmosphere is beautiful — that’s the highlight — but during my last visit (early November), it was freezing inside. The AC was blasting, and my friends and I could barely enjoy our meal because it was so cold. Overall, it’s a great place to look at, not to dine in. Would I go back? Probably not.
I honestly don’t even know where to start with how disappointing this place was. From the moment I walked in, the whole experience just felt pretentious, overpriced, and unwelcoming. First off, the women working downstairs in the furniture area on floors 2 and 3 were absolutely horrible. They act like they’re doing you a favor just by being there. Rude, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Their whole attitude was so judgy and standoffish that it immediately set a bad tone. Honestly, who would want to spend thousands on furniture when you’re treated like you’re not even welcome? It made me want to leave before I even sat down to eat. Then came the food. For how expensive everything is, you’d think the quality would be top-notch, but it was far from it. The portions were tiny, everything was bland, and you literally have to pay extra for sides that should have been included in the first place. My toast was burnt, one dish came out cold like it had been sitting in the back too long, and another plate was undercooked—it felt like no one in the kitchen actually cared. For a place trying so hard to look upscale, the food tasted like a bad chain restaurant at best. And don’t even think about celebrating anything there. If you want to bring in your own dessert, they charge $10 PER PERSON for “plating” it. That’s ridiculous, especially when they don’t even offer real dessert options. The best they can do is a sad little sugar cookie with a candle. For the prices they’re charging, you’d expect at least a proper dessert menu. The service was just as bad. The servers come across fake—trying to be nice but clearly not wanting to be there. They were slow, inattentive, and gave off an attitude that made the whole meal uncomfortable. The only decent people were the hostesses who greeted us, and one manager who was at least polite. But that couldn’t make up for everything else. Even the atmosphere, which is supposed to be the “selling point,” was disappointing. Fake plants everywhere, you can’t even sit outside, and the whole space feels more like a furniture showroom than a restaurant you’d actually want to enjoy a meal in. It’s more about looking trendy for Instagram than offering a good experience. Overall, this was one of the most overrated and unpleasant restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. Between the rude staff, overpriced and poorly made food, and tacky environment, I wouldn’t recommend RH Rooftop to anyone. Save your money and go literally anywhere else—you’ll get better food, better service, and you won’t walk away feeling ripped off.
