So many veggie options! They have a large section of vegetarian sushi, some of the best I’ve had. Very creative! Nice fusion dishes too like sushi tacos!! We ordered several veggie dishes and all of them were excellent. Casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and easy parking too.
Had a delicious lunch here with some very fresh and tasty sushi. Lots of options of fish on their menu. Nagiri and rolls aplenty.
This is my go to spot when visiting from Texas. The sashimi is by far the best quality I've had anywhere. They have started getting busy so I would recommend getting on the waiting list before you get there. Inside the service was perfect.
We ordered one of their specials, Regular Chirashi Bowl, 2 types of sashimi and one Spider Ramen. The food was great. The Chirashi Bowl was spectacular. The Spider Ramen was quite interesting. Nice presentation with fried soft-shelled crab and shrimp tempura. The sashimi was also very fresh. The restaurant was quite fancy yet cozy. The price was on the expensive side, but the food was delicious.
4.5 stars! Everything on the "Kiroro Super Star" section of the menu sounds enticing, I think I'll be back to try more. Today, went with the priciest one, super sugoi box, which is basically a 30 pc omakase. Good for one large hungry person, or for sharing between two. I actually had some trouble finishing it myself, even as a big eater lol. Fish was fresh, but some had too much wasabi, e.g. it overpowered the taste of my fav, uni. I've had better fish but this is pretty good overall. Clean interior and a nicer casual place to catch up with friends. Good service, frequent water/tea refills. Recommend making a reservation if you got a larger group or going during peak hours. Solid sushi spot!
My partner and I have been going to Kiroro since we first moved to the Bay Area a year and a half ago - it was one of the first recommendations we were given. Since then, we've been almost every month. And every time, it exceeds our expectations. The food, first and foremost, is fantastic. They have solid miso soup, creative apps and sushi rolls, and top-notch omakase. And beyond the food, the atmosphere is cozy and the staff goes above and beyond - Edmond and his team always take such good care of us, whether it's a slow Tuesday night or a packed Saturday. That all to say, we couldn't recommend Kiroro more!
Yummy Yummy Yummy!!! Great presentation of the sushi rolls with freshly cut fish. Nice atmosphere and very pleasant service. Definitely will come again Highly recommended
We tried this place for the first time today and we absolutely loved it! They have wonderful vegetarian options, we tried the mango crunch and it was great! We also tried the dragon roll and the firecracker roll and those were wonderful too. It can get a bit busy, so it would be helpful to reserve a table beforehand. The servers were nice too. I would recommend eating here!
My favorite place to have Toro fish! Not sure if it's the best in the Bay, gotta try in other places still to find out and compare but for sure they always have amazing service and spectacular quality!! There was absolutely no bad weather or bad time, even if there is a big line... You should wait for your turn there! Cheesecake is small, but is so delicious and is Matcha flavor. Help this small business, food is good and the fish is fresh!!
I got the deluxe chirashi which was delicious. It was $48. All the fish was so fresh, melts in your mouth, and I can taste the very fresh fish oils in the fish. It made me so happy to eat it. I haven’t had such fresh fish in a long time. I’d like to try the deluxe omakase next time but it’s very expensive like $88. This is probably the best semi-affordable sushi place I’ve tried in a long time. They are new so I hope they don’t raise prices or decrease in quality in the future if they become popular like how many other restaurants have.

This place is a family fave! Especially for vegetarians! My family and I don't eat meat/fish so you can imagine finding a Japanese place that had non-seafood options is tough. So my sister stumbled upon this place a few years back while researching and they have such a big menu for vegetarians! (Like at least 15+ items) If anyone who is hesitant to try sushi with a similar dietary restriction, I'd recommend this spot. Food: Super tasty, presentation is beautiful, and it comes in a good time after ordering. Ambiance: The space is limited so definitely get a reservation if you're dining in. It is a little tight so I'm hoping they can expand or have a bigger location in the future. Staff: They are efficient and attentive. Appreciate all of their efforts!

We really enjoyed dining here. The pumpkin in the Veggie Tiger roll provided a firm and pleasant contrast to the softness and creaminess of the Mango Crunch Special Roll. Veggie gyoza were also fried perfectly, hot and yummy. Inari and tamago were both sweet so they served as dessert. Last but not least, hot green tea was a refreshing palette cleanser between bites and very appropriate for a rainy day!
Nice sushi restaurant in Belmont with beautifully designed dishes and good quality cuts of fish. I think they do use too much marinade and sauces though for their sashimi cuts, as can be seen in the photos, which is not traditionally Japanese style. Casual dining setting. Made reservations but the restaurant was not busy when we arrived at opening on a weekday. More of a 3.5star.
Very busy, efficient with good quality offerings. Quality of sashimi was excellent. I had gyoza and ramen. Gyoza were deep fried which was a disappointment, and the ramen was good , but probably not their strongest offering. The chashu pork and egg was good quality , and additional vegetables were plentiful. However the sashimi was excellent.
I ordered the “Deluxe Chirashi Bowl” on DoorDash and was satisfied with the meal. Some points: 1. Overall, the cuts of fish are very high quality. I applaud them for this. Chu-toro was cut generously. 2. The sauces are too overpowering. It felt way too salty with how much ponzu was drizzled. Traditionally, chirashi/kaisen don bowls should highlight the fish. I felt like I was tasting too much sauce for my liking. The rice was not enough to “balance out” the saltiness. Then, there was also this sour-sweet relish that, by itself, could be good. But they drizzled so much of it I couldn’t taste the fish/rice anymore. Overall, too much sauce. 3. I appreciated how they added their “signature touch” to the chirashi bowl with puréed yam. It balanced the salmon. 4. Presentation is very good. I liked how they scored the salmon. Good touch. 5. For a deluxe chirashi bowl, I was let down with only a single piece of uni and a single piece of amaebi. Usually, uni should come in two pieces? Somewhat understandable, since Santa Barbara uni is expensive these days (I’m pretty sure it’s Santa Barbara uni). 6. Rice is okay—nothing special unfortunately. I admit I have pretty high standard with my sushi rice though.
Great service and delicious food. I didn’t like their spicy scallop roll (too much sushi rice and no seasoning) but the double toro and baked scallop were good. Interesting seasoning to the nigiris, it was interestingly good. We enjoyed the kussi oysters from Washington!

A really solid sushi restaurant. We enjoyed everything we tried. There was one dish that really stood out to us: sushi tacos. These use perfectly crispy seaweed in place of the tortillas, and they are delicious! The service was solid but not outstanding. The ambiance was adequate. My only complaint is that most things in their menu including most sushi rolls feature fried foods and/or mango, such that it took time to find something to order. I did eventually find something with fresh tuna that wasn't coipped up or combined with tempura or mango. But it did have a lot of mayonnaise.
Total Score: 6.65 Bathroom: 3.25/5 A bit broken, but fairly clean and usable. Floor can use some cleaning and the door can be fixed up. Customer Service: 4.5/5 Nice and helpful, and refilled waters promptly Ambiance: 4/5 Classic contemporary Japanese restaurant vibe. Food: 3.5/5 Decent sushi, good bang for your buck with the combo, and good variety. But shapes could be more consistent and missing the big umami factor. Edamame could also have been actually cooked, instead of given cold. Very hard to eat lowkey cuz it’s like cold salt instead of warm salt. Wow: 0/1 Normal Japanese restaurant Total Score = BR + CS + 2*AM + 5*FOOD + WOW
Food is ok. They try to make it fusion on sashimi with sauce on top of it which I don't think is necessary. The super spicy hamachi roll not spicy at all and I think it has too many stuff. It is quite expensive overall and for small restaurant charging 20% tip for 5 and more with no much service at all is not acceptable.

This is a small Japanese sushi restaurant maybe own by Chinese. We came here because they have a great yelp reviews. To me, their rice did not meet my standard, and they like to use sweet yam for every touch. It really not the type of Japanese restaurant I would like. Oh, forgot to mention, their bathroom and chefs apron were so dirty.

If you like to sit elbow to elbow in a very cramped, noisy space with no real service, this place is for you! My first meal (scallop roll) arrived in more than 30 min; the other salmon roll never came. I heard another lady ask about her food, so I'm not the only person they forgot. Don't come here if you're in a rush; better yet, don't come at all.
