Good food, good people, love music days, Martini Mondays, the best bartenders...Kimberly my fav. Attentive staff. If you haven't been for awhile, give it another try. Short Rib dish so good.

Lobster mac and cheese was ridiculous paired with Pliny made an awesome Valentine's with my wonderful woman

I love the feel of the bar, but the carnitas Quesadilla surprised the hell out of me. It was fantastic! The bartender sampled out 5 beers for my friends and I to make sure we got something we liked. I recommend it. IMO better food atmosphere than Relish Burger Bar, but you can't go wrong with either.

It's a great place to hang out with friends. The service staff are friendly and that's let's you relax more. The food is great as well. The best part was there was no loud music. It seemed that the tables were a bit too close. I'm not sure if it was because of our group size. Overall, it was a good experience.

08/19/2022: This was our 2nd visit to this pub. The establishment was busy, but we were able to get seated as soon as we walked in. Our server was welcoming and friendly. Hubby had the burger which he thoroughly enjoyed. It had a nice, thick and juicy patty with fresh veggies on a good bun that could handle the heft of this burger. A good amount of sweet potato fries came with the order. I had the turkey club with fries. I enjoyed this sandwich. Turkey on clubs are usually salty, but this one was absolutely tasty. We had a great visit to this restaurant and we highly recommend it. Prices are reasonable too! It's a great stop to grab a bite when traveling to/ from Lake Tahoe.

36 Handles is a really fun pub. The food is excellent as one would expect from a pub. The service was terrific. Our server was attentive without hovering, engaging without prying and was able to enhance the experience by making suggestions. There was a live band when we went and people were having a marvelous time. It's a great place to socialize and enjoy an evening.

Such a peaceful elegant classy Pub. Food was off the hook, waitress was excellent. Enjoyed my birthday thank you very much. My friends and I will definitely be back! Must try the Bacon wrapped meatloaf, oh yes!

I've only been here once, thus the 4 stars. Had the fish and chips, and well it tasted like other meals I've had, so it was good but didn't stand out. It was a comfortable and nice quiet place, of course we did arrive around 2pm. Staff was friendly and attentive, nice experience, I would go back and try a different meal at least.

Stopped here after a long day heading back to the Folsom area. Traveling with our pup and having not yet eaten, we came across 36 Handles Public House and decided to stop. It was triple digits and approaching 5PM. The dog friendly patio is on the west side, so it was significantly hot. Our server was kind enough to turn on the misters for us even though we were the only ones outside (thank you for that). Due to the heat and the dog, we decided to order our food to go and have a beer while the food was prepared. It was a good experience despite the heat. The staff was very friendly and offered us water for the dog almost as soon as we sat down. If we're ever back in town we'll plan on an evening in the spring or fall next time.

Live music every Friday and Saturday. Love the food here especially the Tater Tots & Locos Nachos. Friendly servers. Atmosphere is comfortable. Good choices of beers and cocktails. Plenty of parking.

Very friendly staff (bartender, servers) and surprisingly the customers were all so friendly. It looks like the new owner is doing a lot to improve the atmosphere and service since they took it over. Great outdoor space with misters. Very comfortable inside too. Good burgers, fries, BLTA sandwich, fish tacos. They had live music with very good band! Definitely will go back!

Can't speak on the taste of their food because..... Twice now I've tried to Doordash food from them between 10-10:15 pm on a Saturday night. Both times the staff cancelled my orders. If you don't want to serve customers after 10 then you should close at 10 not 11. I can understand if it was like 10:45. But the place is supposed to be open until 11 on Saturdays. If you place a togo order at 10:14 there is no reason to refuse the order. **** Edit per ownership feedback. Thank you for your response. Upon going back and looking at the hrs on your website you do state there that the kitchen closes at 10. Just fyi though, Doordash accepts food orders for your restaurant until 10:40.

Our server Jenniffer was friendly and efficient. Bacon wrapped mead loaf served on mashed potato’s with Brussels sprouts good but a tad too much liquid smoke flavor. Fish and Chips with garlic fries a hit with my wife and our two friends. Good beer selection. Bread pudding tasty dessert. Thursday night Karaoke night started up but we found it annoying so we departed.

New ownership that wants to eliminate what made this place cool which is the 36 handles challenge. The lighting is also entirely brighter and regulars from the old ownership days are being chastised.

Have been there twice now. Had the signature fish and chips this time. This was a late lunch with friends. The fish was hot, but greasy. Sweet potato fries were okay. Service was friendly, but slow. Good iced tea, but never offered a refill. Not likely to return a third time.

Wanted to watch hockey and they figured it out with music for the room and the game we wanted. Bartender help did not show up but the tender on duty rocked it and made sure she did regular check-ins with everyone. Only issue was food was so-so... Had the fish tacos. Fried fish was soft/soggy.... Should be crisp or have a grilled option. El Dorado steak sandwich was very good, onion rings were soggy too. Love the atmosphere and staff are great, food needs work.

This is an Irish Bar! They had No Guinness!! No Gummy Worm Beer and Pinny Elder beer!! The bar tender did her best to find something for us to drink. Hamburger was well very good but the lack of beer was ridiculous!!

While it's a fun place, music, before the band was too loud. Hubby said he was served skunk beer,2,times. Food itself was good, although a bit over priced. The band , Innersoul, was very good & lots of good energy. Had fun, but not sure if we would go again.

Searched Google for Fish & Chips and this place popped up, just 8 mins away! Called and placed an order for 2 orders of Fish & Chips and the polite woman confirmed that it was 2 pieces of fish per order. Get back home and find out these are the smallest and least crunchy fish fillets I’ve ever had. Crazy small portions that weren’t as great as the reviews and pictures here made it seem. And $50!! Smh. Very disappointing

This is not the fault of the delivery driver, and this would have almost certainly happened no matter what. Next, I would like to address the portions. In the photo, I have a tea spoon (NOT a table spoon) for reference (Note that the photo is taken after I have only taken a single small bite from the front left corner of the dish). So, you can see that I was only able to get about 8-9 smallish bites from this meal that I paid a whopping $21 (not including delivery fees) for! I don't think it's unreasonable to be at least a little miffed when I pay $21, and I get what I would consider to be a kids-sized meal of a dish that is generally associated with large, hearty portions. The only redeeming aspect to this dish was that yes, it did taste very good (thus the 2 stars and not 1), and I bet if I had eaten at the restaurant I would most likely have had a better experience. However, in this age where online and delivery orders are far more prevalent, I think the best way for restaurants to avoid reviews like this is to simply not offer delivery until sloppy orders like this never happen.

Called and placed an order for 2 orders of Fish & Chips and the polite woman confirmed that it was 2 pieces of fish per order. Food is awful! Chicken tenders were thin and burnt to a crisp tasted like rubber. Sandwich was very very soggy and tasted like nothing. I usually love all the food in el dorado hills however this place would get zero stars if google allowed it.

The burger was so bad one bite was enough. It was so inedible. The sweet potatoe fries were good but the overall quality of both our meals was inadequate. Wont come back. And we tried to like it. The waitress even asked if there was anything wrong with the food, to which I said it was not good. She said I'm sorry. Here's your check. Very disappointing.

I can honestly say I have never written a bad review before this, but the way my family members and I were treated here last night by one of the bartenders was beyond rude. We were excited to bring my aunt and cousins here last night who were visiting from out of town. 36 Handles has always been one of our favorite spots and I even called ahead to ensure it was still open until closing time- I was told yes, we had plenty of time. We arrived a little more than an hour before closing and as soon as we walked in we were met with eye rolls and rude looks by a bartender with short bangs. It soon became obvious she had been drinking with a group of her own friends who were sitting at the bar. After ordering one round of drinks from this bartender, we were then flipped off for asking for ice. She also proceeded to tell us we were the “bane of her existence” and we had to close out immediately. Fortunately, there was one other female bartender with long blonde hair who had been helping other customers, but came over to our table to apologize for this bartenders poor behavior. Still, the way we were treated by short bangs left a bad taste in our mouths. It was a horrible way to end our evening and I was embarrassed I even brought my family here. We will not be returning anytime soon and we will not be recommending this spot to others.

Don't waist your time going to a place that doesn't care or want your business enough to actually be open for food 10 minutes after you call to verify.. I would give 0 stars if I could!!!! Avoid!!! Rating FAILURE!!! AVOID!!! POOR SERVICE!!! I THINK IVE SAID ALL I CAN!!!
