Opinions de India Beach El Granada
My husband and I really enjoyed going to this restaurant last night for the first time. We are in town for the weekend and this was truly a great option. We were able to sit Indian style on a ground level table with cushions and pillows, we have never been able to experience dining like that but always wanted to. Thank you to our server and the chef for wonderful service. For starters we ordered the vegetable samosa and onion bahji (not pictured), and for our entree’s we ordered butter chicken, chicken coconut curry, rice pilav, assorted basket of naan bread and enjoyed a sweet treat afterward by ordering their gulab jamun, sooooo delicious! The perfect amount of sweetness after a delicious meal. Would definitely recommend this place to other friends if they are ever visiting the El Grenada/Half Moon Bay area.
Beautiful atmosphere!!! There are these intimate curtained off sections where you can sit comfortably on pillows on the floor… roses on every table, it is a very romantic spot. They serve beer and wine, and the dishes are full of flavor.
We were in the area and were able to find a place open after 9pm. This place stays opens till 10:30 which is a good thing for late diners like us. The place has a very vintage vibe with floor seating as well. We took the canopy seats as we haven’t seen it much elsewhere.! What we tried: ➡️Mango Lassi- great in taste, not too sweet. ➡️Vegetable pakoras- Very crisp, less oily and we relished it in the cold weather. Must try item. ➡️Chili chicken- stir fried chicken and veggies. Delicious! ➡️For main course we had rogan josh, mushroom masala, and mango chicken. All of the gravies were tasty. I liked the chicken but have had better mushroom masala at other places. ➡️The breads were a little thick. Naan breads are usually thinner and my friend who ordered garlic naan didn’t feel it was a garlic naan. The service is fast and prompt. Our server was very friendly and took good care of us. We ate a lot so our bill was naturally high!! In a nutshell, this place has good food and good beach views if you like eating Indian food 🥘😍
One of my favorite restaurants in El Granada the food is great my daughter swears by the butter chicken I always experiment and have never made a bad choice. The Naan is delicious well balanced the views of the ocean and sunset are amazing
This place is nice. Amazing views (if you get the tables). Fast service and really delicious food. The place was clean and food spice could be adjusted as per taste. We ordered mild - veg Indian food which was very tasty and fresh. We had true garlic naan, aalu paratha, bhindi and butter paneer. After a nice morning at the beach, this was a good spot to have lunch and head back home. Actually the food was so good that I forgot to click photos of our main course and kheer (dessert).
❤️😃 Nicest tasting Indian food. We have Indian food once a month, for the past 27 years. The texture and flavors were worth coming back to experience. The table by the front has an ocean view. The chatter of people talking while eating adds to a pleasant social environment. Bring a date, even if you have been married to her for 30 years. Going for a walk afterwards on nearby beaches is a nice way to end a meal.
My wife and I embarked on an adventure in Half Moon Bay, the land of traffic jams and hangry tourists. The situation got so dire that we considered making a break for it, executing a daring illegal u-turn like something out of a heist movie. But just as our grumbling stomachs were about to stage a coup, a ray of hope shone through the car window - the glorious beacon of India Beach, with its flashing open sign! We made a decision quicker than you can say "naan bread." As we pulled into the parking lot, it was as if we'd stumbled upon a hidden treasure. Unlike the overcrowded tourist traps nearby, India Beach exuded serenity and delicious aromas that promised an exotic escape. They even had tables set up on the patio, providing a front-row seat to the shoreline. It was like finding an oasis in the desert of hangry despair. The staff greeted us with smiles that could rival the sun's brilliance, and the food? Oh, it was a taste explosion that put our grumbling stomachs to shame. We devoured our meals like it was a race against time, savoring every flavorful bite. But the icing on the mango lassi had to be the owner's brother, who made an appearance like a cameo in a feel-good movie. This guy was so friendly; I half-expected him to start offering life advice or auditioning for a buddy-cop film. He added the perfect touch of hospitality to an already fantastic meal. In the end, we left India Beach with full bellies, happy hearts, and a renewed faith in the power of illegal u-turns. --- I /may/ have asked chatgpt to punch this up a little... But seriously, we had a really nice time and enjoyed both the food and the really friendly people here. If you find yourself in Half Moon Bay, check it out.
I visit this place every 6 months and try new things. I tried the Punjabi Chicken Curry, really tasty. The assorted naan bread, pretty good for 3 people to share. And finished the food with Kheer and Gulab Jamun, lovely.

I am a local and if I had to select the 4 best restaurants in Hmb, India Beach would easily make the top 4. This is one of the best restaurants coastside. The food is fantastic, the atmosphere is perfect and views of the ocean are excellent. Many of the restaurants with an ocean view here don’t have great food, but this restaurant is an exception. Highly recommended!
The moment I walked in I knew I found a great spot! Great location, the atmosphere was lovely, and the staff is friendly. The food was what I had hoped and if I lived in the area I’d be here all the time. Waheguru! 🙏
Excellent food! We got the butter chicken, prawns, garlic naan, and raita. Great value and so nice that it’s open late!
Good food. Good drink . Good atmosphere. The staff really made it a good experience. I look forward to going there again.

Drove all the way here from San Francisco & the food didn’t disappoint! The staff was so friendly & they had a great ambience too :) I recommend the butter chicken, Chana masala, garlic Nan & papadum. Thank you guys! You have a new regular!
This is my 3rd time to India Beach, they never disappoint, took my parents late Sunday afternoon. They really liked the quite cozy spot for Indian food, with ocean view. Place has lower floor level table with cushions provided, which is nice experience. You do need to take your shoes off, if you plan to sit down on the floor & dine. Food was good, decent spot for Indian cuisine, definitely recommend their mix tandoori grill you get bit of everything fish, shrimp, chicken & lamb tandoor delights. Mango kulfi & Mango Lassi❤
I ordered the makhni paneer, the gravy was tasty! I also ordered naan, it was fresh and thick! I was not a fan of the veggie pakora, lacking seasonings. The chutneys we're rather bland as well so I was a little sad about that. I came for su day night dinner around 7pm, they were moderately busy and my food took a little while to come out, probably a good 20-25min wait after I ordered. The menu is extensive so there is good for everyone. The vibe is decent, nothing super fancy but also not something I would wear sweat pants to. The had a decent wine selection but I did not order any. Over all decent food for the alternative options in the area, but not the best Indian food I've had.
Food was very good. I had lunch on a Tuesday afternoon and was the only diner in the entire restaurant. There is a bar, regular tables and booths where you sit on cushions on the floor. Nicely decorated. Prices seemed just a bit high for lunch.

The location of the place is just amazing looking over the pacific is just beautiful. The place is clean with strong Indian vibes. Seems to be well maintained. While this is right on the way not to miss having Indian food. The food in itself is not very great . The curry had no flavour no taste and just literally big pieces of potato and capsicums And the biriyani was made from the left over curry seriously exactly same set of veggies and the curry paste. And coffee was I have no words to explain

Well! The location is good and nice view of the distant waters. But that’s it. The veg dishes have the same masala and pretty much the same shortcut on the rest of the dishes. The breads except the plain naan were second rate.. undercooked and doughy. The service is mediocre at best. Our server forgot to bring in the second order (we had ordered two) of bread basket and ruined the eating as we had to wait about 15 minutes for the second order to come. If you know Indian food then you might realize that this restaurant is on the lower scale of the five star spectrum.
I had lamb biryani. The taste was okay, but the quantity was very less. I also had chicken tikka masala gravy, which had a nice taste, but the chicken was very old and very hard. Lastly, I tried mango kulfi, which was full of artificial color. After just 1–2 spoons, my lips, teeth, and tongue were completely stained yellow.
Great ambience and courteous service; had dinner for six after visiting half moon bay; Ordered garlic naan , tandoori roti, Hyderabad chicken masala, Karahi mushroom masala, chicken pakora, vegetable pakora, onion bhajji; Garlic naan was almost with no to little garlic flavor; Both the curries were lacking depth and spices; onion bhajji was the worst - just onion dipped in heavy coated tasteless batter; overall the food was more bland version of Indian dishes and lacking taste specific to Indian dishes; May be suitable for trying Indian dishes without flavor or spices
The food is good but the restaurant and service is so bad that you shouldn't go here. There's not enough waiters so the service is really slowly and they're inattentive because there aren't enough split between all the customers. A bunch of tables you have to sit on the ground for and some people have to sit in a chair so they're bad for them. And there's no back support if you sit on the ground to eat at the table.

I was served samosa, with the filling cold. Twice!! The first time I conveyed it to the waiter, he said he will get fresh ones. I got the new ones and again the filling was cold. I don't leave bad reviews generally, but I had to for this one.
