I came in for lunch. Food is real authentic. Home made corn tortillas. I ordered Chili rojo Costillas w rice n beans. They were delicious! Them corn tortillas I tried the green chili Costillas. They were really good also. My friend had chicken a la Mexicana. He said it was the best.

Found this place by chance looking for a good caldo. This hidden little gem is amazing. The food tastes like my grandma's food, and the tortillas are handmade. Prices are good as well as the portions. I will be coming back for sure!

This place may not be fancy restaurant like some other places, but it doesn't need to be. The food is authentic Mexican food, and believe me, you will not be disappointed. They have pozole and menudo on the weekends and it is absolutely delicious. I've tried almost everything on the menu and have always left satisfied with their food, service and their reasonable prices. Oh, almost forgot, they have homemade tortillas. 😋😋😋

Love this place for Authentic Mexican Food. Been going there 40 years. Changed owners a couple of times, but maintain handmade quality soups Menudo and Love their breakfasts. Fresh squeezed juices made fresh to order also.

I see alot of comments about price increase but keep in mind that everything in the market is increasing.You think because it’s a small restaurant they don’t have to increase price but they do inorder to keep the business open.The wait is worth it! I always go there for their delicious chilaquiles. The food is delicious, but service is not so good. I think the ladies there make lots of money and not humble at all.

Went in for the chicken mole. Which they were out of Disappointed when I selected the "Best Burrito" which was a Carnitas wet Burrito filled with fat and onions and the window open to the outdoors dining area housed a few red eyed beer stinking foul mouthed goons. This is a middle of the week place where they won't run out of food from the a.m. customers. We will definitely be cautious of our order beans or no beans onions to the brim. And ask to close the windows to keep the stale beer breath and sovacco (armpits ) from interfering the ambiance.

The waitress were rude didn’t smile instead gave me a bad look I been going there for over 45 years and almost everytime I go there they have different owners the food was over cooked and dry and they don’t give you enough food for what they charge you and bad parking I been going back here since 1974 for one second I felt like I wasn’t wanted there and I am a Mexican also I don’t think I am going to go there anymore bad vibes I lived in El Monte for over 20 years I ate in all the restaurants on Garvy and Valley Bl.

I have been coming here for years and yes we are seeing an inflation on everything but $16 for some chilaquiles with about 2 oz of asada? If I'm paying class B or A environment plus good food then it wouldn't matter. I can go to Guadalajara grill for that money and enjoy a good mariachi show on top of it. To the owner, if you're going to increase your cost because you now have a good customer base at least invest it back on your establishment so one can actually enjoy sitting there to eat. Some cleaning would be nice to. Their prices increased and their portions decreased, don't kill what made you great at the beginning just to make an extra nickle, don't let that greed win you over.
