Opinions de Banh Mi Nuoc Mia Papa Hon El Paso
I love their sandwiches and have been A LOT of times. I usually go there for lunch time but yesterday I stopped by after drop off my kids at their school in the morning. (It was 8:00 in the morning...) Omg. Probably they didn’t have fresh bread that time I think it’s because I was there early.. they used leftover bread from yesterday? Idk but that bread was horrible…. Couldn’t even bite… like rocks…. It was very disappointed. I’m not recommending going there morning time…. Even so, the sandwiches here are the most delicious banh mi in El Paso! 💯💯💯 I absolutely want everyone to try it at least once it’s so tasty, you’ll definitely get hooked!🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼
This place is legit. I am Vietnamese, currently living in Arizona. I've had banh mi and pho in California, Washington, Arizona, and even in vietnam. I had pho at least over 10,000 times, 2,000 of which are from restaurants. This place is easily in my top 5 pho/banh mi places I've ever been too. It even beats the one in Vietnam. I don't know how to put it into words... the pho broth is super flavorful, the meat is INSANE, it melts in your mouth and does not feel "dry", it is very soft. The portions?? INSANE. For only $13 for pho, you can easily feed two people. The banh mi? You can feed three kids with it. Hands down one of the best pho in Texas, well... because I've been to 5 other places in Texas since visiting and they can't compete with this place. I just wish they were in Arizona. Lol.
Very good bahn mi sandwiches. Reasonable price for the size you get. The drinks were delicious. Definitely recommend and very authentic.
The banh mi is sooo good!!! I loved the crispy bread and the fillings were delicious. Sad I didn’t find this place earlier and wasted my money on other banh mi places in town. They were out of nuoc mia which was disappointing
Is Hard to find a Bahn Mi Vietnamese sandwich, this is one of the best sandwiches I’ve had in my lifetime!
Authentic banh mi. It may seem a little pricey, but you get a massive sandwich. All-in-all, it was really good, definitely coming back here again Update: Their pho is delicious and also authentic, 100% recommend if you want soup instead of a sandwich. I come almost every other week for a bowl.
I finally made the trek from across town and it was worth the drive! Super fresh ingredients, and their freshly, in-store baked bread is absolutely perfect! Nice crisp exterior that goes perfectly with the fresh veggies in the sandwich. Super friendly staff, as well, and a very clean, comfortable atmosphere to sit down and eat. If you're nearby and looking for some delicious food, this is a great place to stop.
So good! The bread, has a delicate crunch, but very fluffy on the inside. The flavors aren't overpowering each other, and you can get all the flavors from the ingredients- meat, jalapeno, picked veggies, pate, bread, etc., in each bite! Had to come 2 days in a row because we couldn't get over the bread! I saw reviews complaining about price, but i think the price is really great. Especially for a smaller business! I'm from CA, where we have bahn mi shops and chained shops left and right, and they offer prices that are better than the chains! It's not easy offering Asian foods in a city where it's predominately another culture, especially with getting ingredients. But with them making everything in shop, you don't sacrifice quality!
The Banh Mi is amazing here. Fresh baked bread made daily, the super fresh veggies, and everything else that goes into them is perfect. Best Banh Mi I've ever had, and might be the best in El Paso. Don't forget to get a tea also! The tropical tea is super refreshing on a summer day and not too sweet. The service was also extremely friendly. Definitely will be back soon!
Wow! These were the best Banh Mi I’ve had outside of Vietnam. The bread is perfect the filling amazing and the staff friendly. I don’t have a photo of it because I couldn’t put it down long enough to take one. The price is unbelievable at less than 8bucks a sandwich. This place is a winning you have to give a try.
This place is absolutely the best. It was Mt first time going but boy they did not disappoint. Not even one little bit. The sandwiches are fresh and out of this world! The flavor is spot on and the bread warm fresh and crispy crust. OMG! It's really good. I had the grilled beef sandwich and the watermelon sugarcane juice. If you've never been here before like me then you've just gotta take the trip. These guys are just amazing!!!
Authentic, delicious, affordable, healthy! What more do you need??? We were curious about their banh mi and I’ve never been more impressed by a Vietnamese sandwich in my life! The flavor in their tender grilled pork was savory and rich, so mouth-watering! And their baguette was so crispy and fresh!!!!! We also ordered a peach tea which was so refreshing and light. They gave us a free tropical tea, too, and my wife loooved it as it’s so tasty but not as sweet! Do not hesitate to stop and try their menu! They know what they’re doing and they do it very well!! Will come back soon because I’m hooked!
Had the Crispy Roast Pork Banh Mi (#9) and it was the best Banh Mi I have had in a while. The bread is made here and is out of this world! Peach Sweet Tea was also great. Place is small, but clean and the service is excellent!
I probably ate too many banh mi sandwiches from here while pregnant, but I’m very relieved my yearning for them did not disappear postpartum. My favorite is the grilled beef, but the crispy pork is a close second. The bread is always on point and the veggies inside the sandwiches are perfectly pickled, too.
First time I ordered Pho. I couldn’t finish the massive bowl. I was feeling a lil under the weather, wow it hit the spot. You make it as spicy as you like. Very Fresh and tender. Thai Tea was delish! Leo (he’s a veteran) was very quick and attentive, we also had a nice conversation. I will definitely be back.
As a Vietnamese guy and banh mi snob who was born and raised in Houston (best Viet food outside Vietnam) these sandwiches are legit. The bread possibly might be the best banh mi bread I’ve had and I don’t say that lightly.
Great mom and pop restaurant! Delicious banh mi, pho, dried fruits, sesame balls, and iced coffee. This place reminds me of other mom and pop restaurants on my island home, Samoa. Service is wonderful and I am always eager to try something new on the menu that I haven't tried. Thankful to have your business in EP 🙌❤️
The cashier/waitress was so kind and attentive! She made menu suggestions based on what kinds of things we liked and helped us make excellent selections!! Husband had the crispy pork sandwich and I got to taste a piece of the pork belly and it was amazing!
Atmosphere is low because I have never dined in here but I have ordered it on Uber Eats multiple times and the pho here is AMAZING. Togo orders are packed with utmost care! You get loads of garnishes & the noodles on the side so they don’t absorb the broth during delivery. The broth is HEALING! My favorite is the Shrimp Pho. Its absolutely delicious!
This is definitely the best viet place in El Paso! Everything they make tastes how it does in Vietnam. Banh mi are delicious, pho, the Vietnamese coffees. Very nice people also. Super authentic, even down to the Vietnamese music! We will keep coming back here
The Vibe Papa Hon is a wonderful restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and relaxing. Always an incredible experience. Stomach full, happy smiles all around. The Food & Drink The Pho has a very delicious broth that compliments the hefty portions of meat and noodles. The sugarcane juice was refreshing, has a nice sweetness that isnt too sweet. Pairs well with the Pho. A Tip Please eat IN STORE, for a dish like Pho it's best enjoyed fresh. Verdict Papa Hon delivers on flavor, portions, authenticity of vietnamese cuisine. Truly a magnificent restaurant to visit.
I’ve been a regular customer at Banh Mi nuoc Mia – PapaHon, and they never disappoint! Today I ordered two pho to-go, a spring roll, and a refreshing nuoc Mia (sugarcane drink). Everything was delicious as always! They even surprised us with the viral mango ice cream — such a sweet treat! 🥭 They’re currently running a great weekend promotion: spend $50 or more and get the mango ice cream for free. Highly recommend this place for amazing Vietnamese food and friendly service!
This place is an absolute gem. The spring rolls are some of the best I’ve ever had—fresh, perfectly balanced, and packed with flavor. The Bánh Mì is amazing, with great bread, generous portions, and all the right textures and flavors in every bite. And don’t even get me started on the coconut coffee—rich, smooth, and perfectly sweet. It’s honestly one of the best I’ve had anywhere. Everything tastes fresh and made with care. If you’re a fan of Vietnamese food, this spot is a must-try. I’ll definitely be coming back.
Excellent Phở, authentic & hot when served. Bánh mì was freshly made daily. It’s a small casual little deli but perfect for a quick meal especially for out-of-town travelers looking for authentic Vietnamese food. The coffee is also deliciously authentic because it’s super strong as Vietnamese coffee should be.
The banh mi sandwich is really good and very fresh. Their Vietnamese salt coffee is a must-try, great flavor and strong enough to keep you energized for a long time.
Wow. Amazing flavor on the sandwiches. Good service. Food was out really fast. Dragon fruit tea was delicious. Soup was awesome
Fresh healthy sandwiches and Pho. I love this place for mid day lunch. Takes only 5 min before you receive your order. So no long waits. They bake their own bread every morning and it is very fresh and delicious!
The food was amazing!! This was my first time here and we got the grilled chicken and grilled pork sandwich. Both were so delicious. The bread was the best part, it was both crunchy and soft. The portions were a good size for the price that you pay and after eating the sandwiches we felt full and satisfied. The drink we got was the strawberry sugarcane, I will be honest, it was not my favorite but it was definitely different and I enjoyed trying something new. I highly recommend this place, the food was good and the staff was excellent
Great service! I ordered the grilled pork bahn mi sandwich. It was amazing! The mix of the grilled pork and fresh veggies was delicious! And the durian juice had a very.....unique taste. I just got it to say I've tried durian. I won't spoil it for you so you'll just have to try it yourself. Now I did have to wait a while for my order despite me being the only customer. But the sandwich was great so I'll overlook that.
The Vietnamese sandwich are bomb The bread is fresh homemade. My favorite is the crispy Roasted pork. The coffee it’s another thing of good taste. Tray it out you will not regret.
Coconut coffee is so amazing here. We have tried their bahn mi sandwiches as well! Everything they have is so good. Great local spot with a homey feel to the place. Must try.

Prob the best Pho ive had in El Paso. My brother also loved the Bahn Mi. They also have a good variety of coffee and teas
Excellent phở — authentic, flavorful, and served piping hot. The bánh mì is freshly made each day, adding to the quality of this small, casual deli. It’s the perfect spot for a quick meal, especially for travelers seeking genuine Vietnamese flavors. The coffee is also a standout — rich, strong, and true to traditional Vietnamese style. We also received great service and was greeted with a warm, friendly welcome.
Probably one of the best banh mi I have had. And I'm speaking from my experience traveling across the country and even Vietnam. This place is underrated. Their banh mi is just as good as the banh mi i had in Vietnam. I dont know why people complained about the price as I find it very reasonable.
First time trying Banh Mi Papa Hon today (02/02/2026). I had the Banh Mi grilled beef sandwich. 9 out of 10. This is the best Banh Mi sandwich that I've had in the States.

Food is fresh and good! Coffees are also great. But the lady in the counter, she is nice but seems like does not know how to put the order in order. Every single time I go, I see people get their order mixed up and I always have to wait over 20mins just for a sandwich and remind them about my food. They started to make my food after I ask.
I eat here a lot, it is normally really good. But for some reason the past 3 sandwiches ive bought have been not very good. Not enough pickled vegetables, too much stemmy cilantro, bread hard to chew. This time I feel like the vegetables weren't even pickled at all. I usually love this but its been kinda mid lately :/ hopefully they fix it.
Had the Pho Special. Really good and loaded with lots of different meat. Banh Mi dac biet was okay but the #9 bahn mi with crispy pork belly was pretty tasty. Leaving full and happy.

I visited the restaurant with a friend and found the banh mi sandwiches to be a bit pricey. However, we ordered the Papa Hon special and the grilled chicken sandwich, both of which were very fresh and had plenty of vegetables. The bread was also delicious with a nice crispy exterior. While the sugar cane juice was not squeezed on the spot, it was still enjoyable, though it had some residue buildup. Overall, I would recommend giving this restaurant a try, but it would be great if they could consider reducing their prices

I’m a big fan of banh mi’s so of course I’ve had a lot of them. I was not a fan of this one. There were no carrots or jalapeños in the sandwich, and the meat was primarily fat and cartilage. There was so much onion in the sandwich that I feel sick after eating it. Also, tofu is a very common filling, and they don’t have it.

I bought 5 bánh mì and got one free and the girl in the front kept asking me which one I wanted free I told her it doesn’t matter but she kept on asking me over and over.. like I don’t work here anywhere you buy bánh mì they just automatically have that in the system ..The guy making my bánh mì was so slow and skimped on the meat there were hardly any meat on them. I ordered 3 combinations, 2 meatloaf and an egg sandwich. The bánh mì is fresh but they need to work on customer service and I don’t think I’ll be back

why say “open till 1600?” when your not even open. came in at 1530, looking to appreciate a nice banh mi after work, just to be greeted with a lock door. halo halo(to the left) has pretty good food on a side note.
We waited one hour for our order. It was missing one sandwich and they didn't have vegetables inside. We were given the vegetables in half open bags on the side and they were spilling out in the car. At that point, we just took what we got because we couldn't wait another hour for them to be remade. Highly do not recommend if you have anything planned for the next two hours after.
