I can’t get over how amazing the food was here! Sooo good and so filling. I already can’t wait to come back! Plus the service was amazing. 1000/10! ☺️
I am a massive fan of this restaurant! I was sure Ethiopian food was not for me until a friend made a dinner date plan here with me. The set-up, the food, the sauces! (watch out for the red one) and the owner are brilliant! I would come here once a week if my budget allowed me to! The only time gripe is the servers can be hit (and we’ll above average hit !) or miss. Nonetheless, I strongly recommend! (And challenge you to try the hot sauce!)
The food was really good – full of flavour, well-prepared, and nicely presented. The menu had a good variety, and everything we ordered tasted fresh and delicious. Service was really friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. I’d definitely come back and recommend it to others!
Incredibly delicious! I was quite thrilled about trying Beza since I was curious about the mix of flavours of the ethiopian vegan cuisine, and guys, it does not disappoint a single bit. We went for the Vegan Menu for two with all the available options. It had such an interesting mix of colours and flavours ranging from red lentils, spinach or mashed potatoes to reddish, with mild and stronger spices and also couple of spicy sauces in case you like stronger experiences. Quality-price unbeatable and the service was so friendly and attentive that it just made the whole experience over the top! Definitely a must go!
I cannot recommend this restaurant enough - it is so cute and food is amazing. Both the outdoor and indoor seating are very cozy. The food is really delicious and the serving size is really good. My friend and I ordered their meal for 2 to share and we were very satisfied with what we got. The customer service is also really good.
Very, very tasty vegan food. I was impressed by the subtle flavours for many of the stews placed on the injera; my husband who is not vegan in particularly loved the red lentils in the middle. I also really liked the mushrooms and the white sauce drizzled on one section. The injera is darker than normal and has a bit of a lime taste in additon to the typical sour injera flavour. It’s quite nice. The plate for two is HUGE and we had leftovers. The interior is industrial + cozy at the same time. Light music playing in the background. The small staff is efficient and pleasant. Would definitely return! At £14 a head, a great bargain for dinner (and lunch leftovers)
Eating here was such a wonderful experience. The staff are so so lovely and happy to explain the history and meaning behind the dishes to uncultured people like me. The food itself was incredible and it was great to be able to try a range of things. I’ve never had injera before and it’s a must try for anyone in the same boat. Also, having one big sharing platter is such a nice way to eat and makes for a really sociable and interactive eating experience. All the extra bits (drinks, deserts etc) were really nice too. Would highly recommend the spiced tea, and absolutely would have tried the Ethiopian coffee if it hasn’t been so late.
The food was absolutely delicious and the service was amazing, the staff were so warm and welcoming and made you feel right at home. Such a lovely spot to get really good vegan food! Will definitely be going back!
Wow..., I’m so impressed I really have to hold myself back from bursting into euphoria, because the food was incredibly delicious. Everything was vegan and completely natural, even without refined sugar. 😍😍😍 They even use recycled paper and cutlery. Truly divine. 🤩🤩🤩 The owner was also extremely friendly and welcomed me so warmly. When I’m back in London, I will definitely come here again to eat. A 100 out of 100. 🌌🪬🌌
We stumbled upon this Ethiopian restaurant by chance, and what a lucky find it was! The set menu offered a beautiful variety of dishes, each bursting with distinct flavors that somehow came together in perfect harmony on the plate. Every bite felt like a new discovery, and the way the spices and textures worked together was simply incredible. Our server, Su, was warm, attentive, and made the experience even more special. We even received a surprise extra dish — a delicious treat that felt like a little gift from the kitchen. What made the meal even more remarkable is that my friend, who had never tried vegan food before, was blown away by how flavorful and satisfying everything was. It turned into a completely unexpected culinary adventure — one of those meals you’ll remember for a long time. Highly recommend for anyone wanting to try something vibrant, authentic, and utterly delicious!
We were there to celebrate the 60th birthday of my friend Carlo. He is vegan and we booked this place to have a little celebration dinner before the big party the day after. We were 18. The place is beautiful, the staff is incredibly helpful, always smiling and giving good advice, super polite, and competent. We had the FEAST, and that means they give you big plates that must be shared by the whole table, so you basically eat the whole menu, and they keep coming and feed you more food until you decide to stop eating. This is part of the Ethiopian tradition of conviviality and to share food is sharing love. As you can imagine a party of 18 is not easy to manage but the whole staff was so charming and graceful throughout the meal that we really did not want to leave. I apologise for not taking enough pictures of the food but it was so delicious we almost forgot to take a picture of it. I highly recommend it. Thank you for making this special occasion even more special.
Amazing place! Food was super tasty and service a 10/10! Shoutout to Seu for her service, she was really lovely c talked us through the menu, checked we’re enjoying it and offered desert (but we were too full!) thanks so much :)
Colourful and tasty. The staff were immediately very welcoming and attentive during the meal. A classic Ethiopian style dining experience, with all the different parts resting atop the Injera. Deep flavours and a nice variety of textures.
Such an amazing experience at Beza! Great food, fab service, and beautiful interior. Couldn’t have got better. Shoutout to our wonderful waitress Su for being so brilliant!
I came here for a birthday dinner 2 weeks ago! I've been dying to try Injera for such a long time. the Injera here comes in one set - they adjust portion sizes according to your group size. loved the food! we were served by Rita and Kia who were absolute gems - they were super understanding about the birthday cake and played cute music to celebrate. so wholesome the team is! highly recommend. it is a small space so making reservations is highly recommended!
My friends and I were there for dinner last night and to celebrate a friend’s birthday! We had the best time - Rita and Kiah were nothing but sweet, warm and generous with their service and hospitality ❤️ They made our experience and my friend’s birthday extra special! Thanks so much and yes, we will be back soon x
Very kind Waiter who explained the food to us. It's a set menu but comes with alot of variety. Definitely worth a Visit.
Very good food and interesting spread. It's a unique way of serving all dishes in a large platter. The seating and the ambience is quite unique and traditional. The team at Beza is welcoming and hospitable. They also explain the dishes for newbies trying Ethiopian food. Overall a wonderful experience.
Outstanding! I didn't expect to find the best Ethiopian I've ever had in London, but here it was. I will say that service is fast, compared with most Ethiopian places, the place was small and nice, the staff were friendly, but more importantly - the food was just better than anywhere else I've been. Each item just had an extra touch of flavor and depth and we just kept saying out loud, "this is the better version of this dish" as we ate (like their Gomen). On top of that - they had a scrambled chickpeas, which I'd not seen on other menus.
As an Ethiopia I'm proud and happy to recommend you this place. So far this is the top Ethiopian Vegan cuisine I've ever seen in London. It is Cosy, welcoming and clatter free. The food is delicious the customer service and presentation is top class. give it a try you will never be disappointed.
Amazing food and so friendly and welcoming! We used to visit the old place in the Artworks, then the Elephant & Castle shopping centre. So glad that Beza has a new home in such a lovely place. Congratulations!! Simply put, the best Ethiopian food I’ve ever had. Nothing is too spicy (you can add green chilli condiment if you want), and everything is flavoursome. It’s all vegan too! Wait til you try the hummus ;) The portions are very substantial and you won’t leave hungry! The spiced tea is also worth a try if you haven’t had it before - especially with some coconut sugar in.
This place was incredible! We were served by Su who provided a faultless service! The food was absolutely delicious!
delicious and full of flavours! we could tell each dish has been well thought out. very rich and umami flavours. very spicy sauces too! would be better if there was a draught beer option but the bottled ethiopian beers were nice. the staff were friendly and informative about the menu, if a little laid back, which was fine because we weren’t in a hurry. would go back!
The food here was delicious with a very generous portion (we didn’t manage to finish it all, but we tried our best). The atmosphere was great too. A lovely spot to come for dinner and a catch up.
This was such a lovely experience. The food was so tasty the service exceptional, we were made to feel very welcome. I will be returning; would definitely recommend this restaurant to sample the delicious Ethiopian cuisine.
Amazing food, even better service and people. They whipped up a nice meal for me even after they said they closed the kitchen. Thank you! We arrived thinking it was open, and we were so hungry.
Finally visited Beza and wasn't disappointed. 2nd time having Ethiopean food but 1st time for my partner. The portion was just right for 2 people(we went with the set vegan menu for 2 people). I ordered the sorrel tea (good for high blood pressure) and this was served cold. Owner and other member great hosts. Deffo coming back here for my little one 💖💖💖⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👌🏻
Upon entering I was greeted by the wonderful Beza, the owner. Such a joyful soul and very spirited. Authentic Ethiopian cuisine and a well designed cute space to dine. There are few tables, but this is an experience in itself. The food itself was outstanding and bursting with flavour. Beza’s passion behind the local ingredients and the story she shared about her dishes just defines the reason why this place is one you shouldn’t miss. Book a table!!!
It was absolutely beautiful with amazing colours and the food too was so colourful and unique with generous portions enough for me and my child. It was our first time trying this cuisine. Service was beyond excellent. Highly recommended as everything is vegan.
Great food, very aromatic & unique! Friendly service & adequate portions. A bit pricey but worth it for the quality ingredients. Would definitely recommend for those that are keen on vegetarian options
Best vegan food I’ve ever had! The space is great, really clean and the deco is super cute! Friendly staff and very tasty homemade dish. Highly recommended, don’t miss out if you’re around!
We arrived early before going to a show, and the owner was very welcoming and friendly. It's a simple menu, so we shared an injera platter with various wats and veggie tasters, which was served room temperature with side sauces - everything very tasty, especially the mushrooms, and the fiery green sauce. Excellent traditional coffee for afterwards. The bare concrete structure isn't my favourite aesthetic, but the decorations make it feel welcoming, and the loo is charming! The owner and her server were both lovely. £44 for more food than we could eat plus hot drinks. Recommended
Absolutely love this place, and can’t stop coming back for more… or that’s what my stomach says! :) Wholesome, full of flavour and amazing staff/service (Sue), and not at all expensive. You get a lot of great food for very little. Go and eat a yummy Ethiopian platter, you know your want to :)
Had brilliant food here with a large group of mates, everyone loved it, the flavours were amazing!! The ladies who run the shop were so lovely and kind.
Modern, intimate venue where you’ll be served delicious Ethiopian food by wonderful cooks. Love this little gem of a restaurant! The spicy sauces are delectable and not to be messed with 😋
The staff was very kind, explained the concept and asked about allergies etc. The food was great, nice portions and fully vegan! The chili sauces were very tasty but also very spicy! Loved it!
Insanely good. Super friendly, lovely chill atmosphere and great food. Highly recommend. Also vegan without any hassle or need to check anything which is lovely.
What a treat! This wonderful little independently run restaurant is absolutely delicious, very reasonably priced and comes with the best care, attention and service. Even the loo is thoughtfully stocked with female hygiene products. Best of all, everything is gluten free! The injera is to die for and don't even get me started on the lemon cake. Today was my second visit and will definitely be back. Thank you so much. Hope this restaurant thrives.
Wow! this place is special. Beautiful set menu, lovely staff, warm welcoming environment. Visited for the first time but would definitely like to go back. Felt like a real occasion.
Beza is one of my favourite places to be, the atmosphere is calm and energised. The food is always the same high standard, a mezza style platter. I don’t eat a lot of chilli, but the fresh homemade chilli dipping sauces are the best I’ve ever tasted. Even if your not vegan , you’ll be very satisfied.
Really enjoyed the Ethiopian platter here with great injera bread and lovely stews and tasty bits all over it. The dips / salsas they gave on the side had real heat, even the mild one was so spicy but really tasty. Service a bit slow and the drinks were the only alright, but the nice food made it definitely worth a visit.
Very nice food and ambience. It is a vegan place. The staff was very welcoming and warm. All the curry and gravy was amazing. The injera however was a little extra sour for my taste buds.
Def a good option for folks on the lookout for vegan, healthy options and in the mood to explore. I like the option of being able to get my own platter instead of a single sharing one even though its not the norm.
I had the pleasure of eating at an Ethiopian restaurant in London, and I was super surprised that everything on the menu was vegan, but at the same time incredibly tasty. I especially appreciated how the food was served – on a large communal platter, which encouraged sharing and gave a sense of community. It was a fun and social way to enjoy the meal. All in all, this was a wonderful dining experience. I can highly recommend this Ethiopian restaurant to anyone, whether you are vegan or just looking to try something new and tasty. This is a hidden gem in London that I will definitely visit again
Tasty food and big portions! The ambience is very calming, and I loved the sharing-style dinner. A tad expensive though
Nice spot in the renewed elephant and castle. The food was nice but I have had nicer Ethiopian food. The atmosphere was nice but the service was very slow probably because the server was on her own, perhaps short staffed or it’s normally that way but it meant there was a lot of waiting. We spent about £54 for the platter and side of rice and salad. We ordered 3 soft drinks. I tried the sorrel tea which is a nice but bitter tea like an unsweetened sangria. Very impressed by the bathroom offerings of female sanitary products which is a rarity and nice touch and the bathroom was clean. I think it could be even better with more staff and faster service. There is no parking nearby there is only a waiting area allowing 20 minutes so we had to park behind in one of the residential streets.
A tasty, simple meal at Beza. Lovely service and a fun Ethiopian drinks selection. Would recommend!
We really enjoyed our visit to Beza, very refreshing food and flavours. I loved the variety of lentils and chutneys they had, it was very interesting. Their Affogato and Ethiopian coffee were also yummy, however the banana bread was very okay and nothing special. The only feedback I’d like to give though is that it would be nice if they had an A la carte menu as well for people who do not wish to eat so much, as the food in their Set menu really is quite heavy and difficult to get through, and they only offer Set menus. Another bizzare observation is that all three of us who visited and had this food at Beza experienced a very upset stomach the next two days. I’m not sure if this is due to the quality of ingredients used and whether they use tinned or fresh lentils. I hope they look into it because they can improve the experience by miles, and I really do like the concept and what they had to offer in general.
Soz, food not the best taste/quality, been to better Ethiopia restaurants in London. Their soya icecream is solid thou.
Waitress was really nice and helpful. However I did not find the food good. The bread was cold and soggy, the sauces were ok but overall, £19/person just feels way too much for what you get.
