I'll give them a 5 just for the chips and salsa...they make the chips just like my favorite brand in Chicago. Carnitas taco was great. Only tried a few other things so far.

Service was quick and with great smiles and personality!! The potato tacos were amazing!! I simply can't say enough about the delicious potato tacos!!!

I just love this place. I eat here often. Everything is good! I really recommend their carnitas tacos, or their veggie bowl.

This place never disappoints. Great food. Fast service. Can take a medium sized group if you get there early.

The food is excellent. My favorite is the Swiss chard burrito. This place is good for all diets. The staff are all very pleasant.

Their vegan options are delicious! Just had a veggie bowl w/black beans, mushrooms, rice, potatoes & greens.

Great atmosphere, excellent customer service, cheap plates, healthy foods, vegetarian and vegan options, soooo delicious. This is my new favorite vegetarian spot. Happy Hour deals are good. Beers on tap and in the bottle. GO HERE!

Friendly service and excellent burgers - that's why we go to Cafe Capricho. You'll also get free chips and salsa to enjoy at your table. The burgers are always perfectly cooked, juicy, and a great portion for your dollars. They have both indoor and outdoor patio seating (patio seating is on Folsom Blvd side). You'll have to find street parking, as there's not an official lot for most of the businesses in that area, but it's usually not a problem. Staff is friendly, and food service is quick and efficient even if they are a bit busy at times. Enjoy!

It’s too bad I can’t leave a 6 star review. This place is straight up legit. When you want some Mexican food (i.e. tacos, burritos, or quesadillas) this should be your first pick. If you want a good hamburger, also this place. Do you fancy a salad? Yup. You can get this here. I felt like the staff was on point with helpfulness and kindness. The food was fantastic. I would recommend the Baja fish tacos, myself. I will be coming back!

The beef was tender, full of flavor and the crumbled cheese on top was a great addition. Then the chicken mole enchiladas are the most chocolate I’ve tasted in a mole. It is sweet and a hint of spicy but surprisingly good. I see why the restaurant brags about it. We also ordered the blue cheese fries and devoured them. The cheese is melty on top and they were perfectly seasoned. Quick service by friendly staff and such reasonable prices!

Ended up adding shrimp to a Strand's salad (picture added) and got a side of fried plantains. 🤤 I'll just have to go back again to try literally everything else!

Some of the best tacos I've had! And one of my go-to favorite casual spots in Sac. I've been going here since its opening like a decade ago & is still the best places in town for a great taco. Fresh, quality ingredients crafted into beautiful flavor profiles. Like I said tonight, I've never had anything that wasn't above average here. It's one of those rare places who's passion for cooking great food is more important than fame, recognition or making more restaurants. Thank God there are some restaurateurs who aren't trying so hard to be recognized that they lose their magic ☆

This place is horrible for my chips and salsa addiction. I don't know if it's acceptable to continuously grab the bowls of chips and salsa that they put on the counter for anyone to grab. But regardless, I did, and I couldn't stop. Is it good for my gallbladder? Hard to tell. I also had shrimp enchiladas which were great as well. #totallyrecommend

Went to dinner with some friends, had a good time visiting a just hanging out. It was a comfortable relaxed environment. I like the way you make your order at the counter. Totally eliminates the seperate check issue. Good food, fair portions, good prices, great service and clean.

If you haven't been to Cafe Capricho you should try it. Excellent tacos and a dang good burger! Get the Jack Burger with avocado, jalapenos and Jack cheese. It's hard to beat! Especially for the price. Great place!

Quality of the food seems to have decreased lately. Use to be really good. Great staff thou. They definitely keep the restaurant very clean. And they seem to work as a team. Keep it up

Yummy, three "just off the grill" tacos, a bag of tortilla chips with salsa and my noontime snack/lunch accomplished. Next stop, siesta time, oh I love my naps.

The food is an interesting and tasty blend of American and Mexican tastes. The surface often leaves something to be desired. On a couple of occasions, we've had to remind them that we had ordered and we're waiting. The staff had apparently misplaced or up order

I had the steak fajitas and the meat had literally no flavor! The veges had very little flavor, black beans were good small qty My husband had the Torta and it was very good.

I ordered my burger for pick up I ordered it medium well. I went in to pick it up the owner explain to me he had to raise the prices due to having to pay his employees more.?? I took my burger home opened it up noticed the bottom bun was sopping wet. I bit into it anyways it was raw. Never been to a place where I had to cook my own food after I brought it home after being charged more for it than usual.

The service is awful! i've ordered the same thing multiple times and the price is different every time. If you want to add cilantro to your taco's that will be an extra charge even though i ordered no pico because its "more effort to scoop cilantro than pico onto taco's." They will nickel and dime you for everything and heaven forbid you are ordering it to go, they will not give you the salsa even though if you ate there you in theory can have as much salsa as you want. I will no longer be going back because the nickel and dime attitude plus that of the people who work there are unpleasant. I can go to la fiesta 4 blocks away order basically the same exact thing for less money and have as much salsa as i want!!!! they just don't care about pleasing their customers.

I know about Mexican food and I travel my country to eat everywhere and learn of the flavors of the street Mexican food. Cafe Capricho food has room for improvement and needs lower their ridiculously expensive prices. I am disappointed. Wost food. No parking. Never going back.

Don't believe the hype. I am not sure why this place gets good reviews. If you like Uncle Bens Rice and canned black beans and bland food this is the place to go. My Butternut Squash enchilada was literally pieces of dry butternut squash (no salt nothing) in a gluten free tortilla shell. No taste at all. When I asked for any kind of sauce they charged $1.50 for a half a shot glass amount of sauce....really????? To top it off, the cooks looked completely put out by my request for sauce....there were 5 of us and NO ONE liked their meal..

The owner stared at me, "we DON'T do that here. She," gesturing to the young girl, "should never have done that." I couldn't believe that the owner 1) wouldn't accommodate such a simple request, and 2) would sell out her own employee in front of guests! So much disrespect for me and for that young girl. I will never support that kind of business.
