Warm and friendly place in Ellenville where locals, newcomers, and weekenders come to grab coffee, breakfast and lunch. It's Queer / LGBTQ friendly. It has a great pastry and cheese selection. The coffee is good. It has a lot of fun products for a picnic or cheeseboard.

Great selection of specialty and local items. Tasty and simple quality sandwiches (I’ve tried blt and prosciutto), prices range from $10-$13 for sandwiches. Very nice decor and place to eat. Overall very good selection of cafe items.

So I can only speak for myself but they have this barista there and he is such a wonderful human being! He makes you feel welcomed the moment you walk in and he always has this big smile on his face !! The food there is sooo good and the coffee is delightful everyone should come and try it!

This place is great. These girls at work so hard to move their location and give a good product for a fair price by far the best coffee we’ve had in a long time we had The Americanos we’ve had the chocolate cookies we’ve tried a few other things. Everything’s been great we wish you much continued success.

Everything was great. Get the cowgirl breakfast sandwich and drop coffee or cappuccino and you can't go wrong..don't sleep on the cornbread. We split the sandwich and corn break and we're fueled to trailblaze from there!!

The bacon egg and cheese sandies are 11/10. They use high quality ingredients, way better than your average deli. The coffee is also 11/10. I was skeptical at first, but blown away by the quality and service.

Love this place! The best coffee in the village, delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches, vegan options, baked goods, and tons of provisions to stock your pantry or plan a picnic (the cheese selection is impressive!). I live nearby and tell my rotation of out-of-town guests to make this their first stop to tee up a delightful visit to Ellenville -- always a win. Super friendly staff, indoor and outdoor seating, and plenty of parking. Online ordering for cafe drinks and sandwiches through their website is also really efficient.

I think I worked my way through every single vegan option on the menu while we were in town. Really great to see so many dishes on the menu that they’re able to veganize. The coffee is also pretty good. It’s definitely on the pricier side but worth it.

So delicious! The breakfast sandwiches are to die for, the coffee is the best in town, and they stock all sorts of awesome sauces, cheeses, and pantry goods that you won’t find anywhere within a 1 hour radius. Everyone who works here is lovely as well, despite my 2 year old son doing his best to try and destroy everything on the shelves. Five stars!

The coffee here is so good!! definitely a new go to spot for me. Also loved their sun tea! They hooked me up with some hummus and pita and it was also great, some of the best pita i've ever had!

A MUST visit! The perfect stop whether you want to grab an amazing cup of coffee, have food that you’ll be dreaming of for weeks to come, or a quick kombucha and some grocery items you can’t find anywhere else. Chill atmosphere. Cheerful staff. Close to town but far enough where you feel like you’re getting away. 10/10

Very good coffee. Prices for the things sold on the shelves are kind of high, but if that’s what they need to do to stay in business, so be it. I do wish they were open more days of the week, but I understand that they may not have enough traffic to sustain it. Hopefully that changes!

What an adorable little coffee shop! The BEC on ciabatta was quite possibly the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had. The coffee was superb as well. Super excited to come back and hopefully grab one of their adorable homemade mugs to take home

The space is great and comfortable. There’s also outdoor seating on the lawn. We love the selection of speciality groceries. The breakfast sandwiches (especially the chorizo one) are delicious. Also loved their iced teas. So happy to have this gem nearby.

Ordered lunch for 30+ people for a creative retreat my org was hosting. We were able to have everyone's lunch labeled with their names on it. It was easy, fast, and not only did everyone love the food, but there was such a no-fuss simplicity to it that our flow of the day had zero bumps on the road. Not an easy feat when trying to feed folks and keep things moving! But we did it thanks to Morning Sunshine, and I'm so glad.

There was a dude baby wearing and making floral arrangements for the building when we were there and you could tell that the grounds were beautiful with flowers earlier in the season. I haven't had the coffee, but all the food I've tried here (breakfast and lunch) has been delicious. I did have a hibiscus/lemonade ice tea, and that was good too. Definitely worth a stop if you're hungry, especially if you're a vegetarian.

I love their chocolate chip cookies! This shop is so cute, with a ton of interesting offerings. FYI for anyone getting the cauliflower pita, it’s listed as roasted cauliflower but the whole thing is actually served cold and the cauliflower is crunchy. I thought I was getting a warm sandwich, asked if I could get it warmed up and the answer was no. I still like the shop, but would definitely get more clarity before ordering next time since it wasn’t what I wanted.

Food and drinks are great but why not be open more days? When a place is closed 3 days a week it's just hard to rely on as your to-go coffee place. Also, better chairs and tables would be nice.

Unfortunately I can't visit often as it's not open most days. ☹️ Clearly targeted to visitors. I've noticed they sell high quality items yet they use lower quality ingredients for some menu items. It's only open on the weekends and it's a coffee place that doesn't open until 8am, it's expensive, and knowing all the local farms we have around here it's just disappointing knowing they're not even using local dairy in my $5 drink.

The one-star "service" category applies to pricing, not customer contact. I really want to like this place, but it is so expensive. The hot chocolate was for $6 for about 6oz. That being said, it was a perfect size for this rich drink and extremely tasty. But, I don't get the $6 price for it. The price of the pastry was average/high, but the drink price is crazy. The hours of the cafe are also crazy. Unfortunately, I do not think this place will stay in business long. I suggest they have hours more in keeping with their business category. Something like 6am to 2pm and at least 6 days/week. They also need more small tables rather than that huge one. It's pretty, but not practical. It does feel like these owners are from the city where everything is priced like this, but even Saunderskill or Mill & Main are not priced anywhere near this high. If you're heading through Kerhonkson, I suggest skipping this place and going to Mill & Main instead.

Looks like a nice place, but it's obviously a pet project of some wealthy Brooklyn transplants - and sadly it's priced for other wealthy Brooklyn transplants. Which is fine, I guess. The weekenders need to eat (?). BUT! The neighborhood directly behind this establishment just so happens to a low-income food desert riddled with abandoned houses and hungry families. Morning Sunshine's pricing is just shockingly tone deaf. 21% (!) of Ellenville residents live below the poverty line. That percentage is significantly higher in Morning Sunshine's neighborhood. Disgusting. I promise you this "local" business is not serving their neighbors. No one within walking distance can afford a $12 grilled cheese sandwich. Which I guess is by design. Heaven forbid a filthy local working class "person" should try and stop in and get an affordable meal. ETA: Just looked up the owners. Didn't need to bother. "In the midst of the pandemic, they set their sights on Ellenville and they haven’t looked back... with a background in fashion design,... photography... and shooting music shows in New York City... vice president/creative director, director of a PR and digital agency in Soho, global digital design director... also directed the New York branch of an international boutique creative agency" Yep. This is the new Ellenville, I guess. Ye unwashed masses be damned. Just wait until Cresco opens and the local workers reek of weed every day. "Your money's no good here! Ordered a Carmel latte. They only have one size. The coffee tasted like pure expresso. For 7 dollars and didn’t even fill the cup

Although the quarter pound of presute I bought was very good however everything in that store. The prices are through the ceiling, the roof and the atmosphere. I wish them well.
