Botanery Barn Distillery & Restaurant

LOVE the Brandywine Distillery, and had the luxury of living right down the road from it for a while. They have a number of botanical gins that are probably the best I've ever had- my favorite being Dragon Fire, which has a bit of a kick to it. I've seen their bottles at all kinds of fancy mixology bars in the city, but if you want to go straight to the source make the trek to their Chester County location. Their food is also amazing, and all locally sourced. Make a day of it and go for a hike at the nearby Crow's Nest Preserve. <3 P.S. They are open now, and taking all the COVID precautions. A cute takeout window, plus ample outdoor seating (some of it shaded under a cute little tent), hand sanitizer abundant, and adorable to-go cocktail bags with straws. Dog-friendly as well- I swung by today to pick up a bottle and the owner offered my good boy a treat. :)

I placed an order on Thursday and my bottles were delivered to my doorstep on Friday... by an employee! He was so kind and courteous. Also, the gin and bourbon we ordered was delicious. We will most definitely be purchasing from Brandywine Branch again. Thank you!!

This place is sooo good! The environment is awesome and I had the best pulled pork sandwich and vanilla bourbon ice cream! Service was great. My only complaint is that I wish they sold the ice cream by the quart!

These guys are great! And great for the community! They actually drove all the way to glenside to hand deliver some amazing bourbon for me! I will definitely be buying from them in the near future, and I suggest you give them a chance!

The custom cask bourbon is amazing. Ordered two bottles in the morning and while I was working on my truck boom, there they are hand delivering my order. Great service, great whisky.

Great food and great drinks highly recommend! I also recommend the specials they are always delicious and very presentable. Cook does a great job on all his dishes best food ever.

Above and Beyond! I was in a pinch and needed a certain whiskey for a small get together for New Years Eve, and Cheryl was more than accommodating to ensure we had it in time. We've had their spirits during Christmas and had to have them again to celebrate the New Year. Thanks again, Cheryl!

Best gin I have ever had in my life and I’m a huge gin guy. Cocktails are big and strong and can’t go wrong with any food on the menu.

An absolute gem! We were incredibly impressed by the food, service, and atmosphere and will be back to enjoy more from the seasonal menu!

This was a delightful experience all around. The setting is an authentic rustic vibe out in the country. My family all enjoyed their meals and the cocktails were delicious. We couldn't leave without learning more about the distillery itself and the manager was super obliging in showing us the production area as well as trying samples of several products. Their whiskies are all tasty but the gin was a revelation. Normally I avoid gine but their botanicals make a giant difference with no hint of juniper anywhere to be found. Definitely worth stopping again for their special edition spirits that you can't buy at the local FWGS.

We came for a birthday party with a group of 10. We reserved the back room. Cocktails and food were delicious, though pricey, and they took good care of us. Orders were timely and their attention to detail on our orders was high! Would definitely recommend, especially for small group (8-15 people) events. If I lived closer, I would visit again.

One of the best meals I've ever had!! This place is so cozy and warm. The staff is so nice and friendly, and the menu is great. The cocktails and flights were on another level. The flavors of each drink were very distinct and satisfying, cannot wait to come back here and enjoy this PA gem!

An absolutely superb dining experience. I’m pretty sure we made sure to eat every MOLECULE of our meal. Our server Lizzie was knowledgeable and helped us out with a food allergy so that no one had to worry. She recommended the gin flight and we ended up purchasing three bottles for ourselves and gifts! The whole family is already planning our next visit.

Awesome food. I'm not a drinker but did try the Harvest Martinez and it was pretty good. It's a beautiful, peaceful place to gather with friends or dinner with your sweetheart. The baked salmon with crab topping was delicious. Cooked to perfection. The maple balsamic vinaigrette for the salad is also amazing. I have a lot of allergies and appreciate that they prepare everything to order. The sauteed kale is the best I've ever had and I'm not in love with kale. Service is a little slow but it's ok. Just come and relax.

From the moment we arrived, the team went above and beyond to accommodate our large group with warmth and efficiency. Organizing a group this size can be a challenge, but the staff made it feel effortless, ensuring everyone was comfortable, taken care of and truly celebrated. The service was outstanding—genuine, attentive, and kind in a way that made us feel like regulars from the start. And the food? Incredible. Every single person at the table made a point to tell me how blown away they were by the flavors, the craft beverages, and the overall experience. Whether it was the thoughtfully crafted cocktails, the perfectly balanced dishes, or the cozy yet elevated ambiance, Botanery Barn delivered on every level. It’s rare to find a place that nails both the atmosphere and execution, but this spot does just that. By the end of the meal, there was one thing we all agreed on: we’ll be back. And not just that—we’ll be telling everyone we know to come experience it for themselves. Huge thanks to the entire team for making this birthday lunch so special. Super cute, German town vibes. They have very tasty cocktails, a little on the expensive side but also a heavy poor. The food we ate was great too. We got a variety and I liked all of it.

Revivalist Garden Gin is a rare jewel. The visual and flavor presentations are excellent. The distillery is attractive with indoor and outdoor seating. The service was good.

We visited on a Saturday - highly recommend making a reservation. A laid back, charming restaurant to enjoy an unhurried meal. Kristin, our server, was wonderful. They had live music around 7p. We had the salad, empanadas, chili roasted nuts, and Monte Cristo. All the food was very tasty, however the price point felt high for several items. A few other notes for first time visitors - their website menu doesn't entirely match their onsite menu. Their website states to "Stroll through our gardens, then tour the distillery, and join us for cocktails and dinner," which we planned to do. However, upon arriving we were told the garden was in the process of being built. Also, tours are only available if you call ahead to schedule. That's understandable, but I wish the website was up to date and said this. Still, the manager spoke with us, explained, and apologized for the lack of clarity, which was much appreciated.

Yikes. Not only was their food menu different and more expensive upon arrival, but the least expensive drink was $14. Got hummus and chips since the waiter said it would be “a very long wait” for any food, and the chips were stale…also we personally experienced zero covid precautions taken. First and last visit.

We pass this place a lot and always have wanted to stop in. So we finally stopped in and we were not greeted very well! Sat at the bar and was given menus. The person standing in front of us was making drinks and never even looked up to say hello or what can I get for you….we felt very uncomfortable and ignored. So we got up and vacated. Very disappointed and will not return! Very rude!

Very disappointed!!! Walked and told bartender we were new and never here before and here response was “Well what do you want?” Sat at a table next(basically attached) to the bar and she never acknowledge just after the first greeting. I then said we will sit at the bar and she said let me clean it off for you and never returned. We sat there for 15 to 20 minutes with no one greeting us or asking us if they could help us. Completely unprofessional. I was actually super excited to try this place out and drove out of the way and now I am completely disappointed.

Sat at bar for 20 mins bartender was very rude n spoke to other employees n customers never took our order. Horrible service and experience!!! We were extremely excited to try this place out and went out of our way to come here, after a very long day.

Way too expensive for terrible service. We were here for over two and half hours and we were only able to get 2 rounds of drinks. We arrived early when it was not very busy. O after waiting at the table a while our orders were taken and drinks brought out. Then nothing after our single round of drinks were delivered, we were ignored. We had to wait an hour in between drinks before a different server finally came over. We waited a very long time without anything (almost 30 minutes). This is unacceptable. The drinks are good, but the service needs serious improvement. There were staff members that appeared to be standing around, and with the decreased capacity, it is troubling they cannot even keep up with the few costumers they had inside the distillery. The woman, who was the manager at the time, did not help the situation. She neglected multiple tables including ours, even after she was directly addressed by other costumers, they had to walk up to the bar to get drinks. After our party complained, we still waited an hour and receive the incorrect check! We heard very poor excuses trying to justify the terrible service we received. We will not return for dine-in.

DO BETTER. we have enjoyed this place for years and tonight was the 1st time we cant say it was top notch. The live music has always been not great and too loud, but tonight was terrible. The food has always been amazing, unfortunatey they removed the montycristo sandwich very sad, so i ordered the burger (20$) was the most anemic looking peice of meat cooked to death ( ordered medium). The chared edamane was very over salted and lacked the normal flavors. Thank god the drinks were strong . service was ok for a bussy night, just very dissapointed with quality of the meal. May return but for a 120$ tab might not be for a while.
