Hidden Spot

Wow... What an experience!! I got the Valley and small fries and it was one of my top 3 favorite sandwiches in my 40 years of being on Earth. Half way through I wasn't sure if I should keep eating it or make sweet love to it with eye contact. Unreal, can't wait to try everything they have!

I'm totally changing my review of this place which I had initially loved then didn't and now do again! They have really done a terrific job and my burger was the best today: hot and juicy, the bun was delicious, the condiments were in the right amount and order. The fries were hot and crunchy. And they serve at the tables. I was so so happy!!!

Food was fantastic Them burgers hit ma boi. And the staff was friendly helpful and we got our food in under 15 mins. Great XP

This place is the best you can hope for in price, quality and service. The "Gem" hot sandwich was the best I've ever had and the "Pow" hamburger was amongst the best 10 burgers we've eve had. We'll be back.

What a delightful establishment. Mike, the proprietor, couldn’t have been nicer and made me feel so welcome. As an out-of-town visitor, I was served with unrivaled hospitality and kindness that made me feel like a local. The drinks were delicious, the ambience was friendly, and the conversations with other patrons were sublime. If you are ever in the Emeryville area and hankering for some libations or victuals, please stop in.

The food here is awesome! Visited from Michigan, looking for a burger place, and we found a gem. The prices were good $65 for 2 to eat without alcohol. Burgers were huge and well cooked, and generously topped. Sides were huge portions too. Service was quick and friendly.

Stopped in for lunch while traveling in the area for work. Tucked away by a four way stop so not hard to find. Got a sandwich and side of shrimp. Sandwich bigger than expected so all you need for lunch. Attentive servers and nice vibe.

Burgers/sandwiches and fries are absolutely amazing! Some of the best fries I’ve had. Drinks and beer were pretty damn good too! Burgers are cooked medium, so if you are like me and don’t like pink, ask for well done. Double check they got well done written down. Great Sunday football spot with friends! Was looking for a good burger spot to go to in Emeryville, and finally found one. The burgers are tasty, fries are nice and crispy. There's seating inside and out. They do serve alcohol if that's your thing. The environment is nice, great place to watch sports. Definitely going back to try some more of there food.

My wife and I visited this spot yesterday to enjoy their Happy Hour. The place is small, but perfect. They have outside seating as well. We sat at the bar. We were immediately greeted warmly. We ordered the Summer drink and the Peach one (Both found on the menu). We ordered the Original burger with fried egg and avocado. It was delicious. The burger was big, flavorful and everything was cooked how I needed it to be (We shared the burger and small fries. It was enough for 2). We ordered more drinks: Chocolate martini (Not on the menu, but ask for it...so delicious), we had tequila shots and my wife had a Mezcal drink prepared by the bartender (Not on the menu, but it was tasty). The bartender was funny, accomodating and amazing. So amazing that I did not even know he was the owner!! Lol.. his name is Mike. He such a cool down to earth dude. Like very personable. I definitely reccomend this spot!

Nestled right around the corner, this cozy eatery packs a punch with its amazing food. 🍔 Burgers Fit for Royalty: The wagyu burger stole the show. Juicy, flavorful, and supreme, it’s a carnivore’s dream. And don’t get me started on the garlic butter wings—they’re like little bites of heaven. 🥪 Creative Sandwiches: well-seasoned, and flavorful, it’s a delightful twist on hot sandwiches. Plus, the portions are just right—no skimping here!

I came here with my niece and boy am I glad. I could not find it at first since the outside of the building says hometown heros. After looking over the menu I ended up ordering the sheriff 15.00. Does n9t come with fries they are separate...but with a yelp check in..had some free small fries and they were absolutely delicious. The burger comes with cheddar cheese...yummy onion rings...grilled onions..BBQ sauce...and may. I did get extra ranch...mmm The burger was wonderful. It was juicy and delicious 😋 the fries were perfect. I really enjoyed the seasoning on them. I would for sure come back. They have both out door and indoor seating.

Come hungry- the portions are big time. Well done, crew. Change nothing and keep crushing. 👊🏼👨🏼‍🦰

Hidden spot indeed! The food was surprisingly good. The drinks were solid. This is pretty much the best place for lunch or dinner if you're in the area.

Burger taste great, but I ordered a medium rare and it is well done. But if you can make a well done burger taste this good, I have high hopes for when it’s cooked right. I will try again. Update 3mo later: Tried again and 2 for 2 overcooking the burger! Maybe try ordering rare and hope for medium? But again, they taste incredible. Fries are 5 stars.

Both the bartenders were super nice, I didn’t try the food but definitely will next time as it did look good overall it’s definitely a cool little spot to come grab a beer

The strength sandwich was large and tasty. The peach ice tea was very good.

I'm not sure where to start. BLUF- Hidden Spot is on my list of places to recommend for everyone visiting The Bay Area. Service - Jalen was at the bar when I walked. He greeted me quickly and politely gave me time to look over the menu. I wish he had warned me about how big the portions are, but I’ll get back to that in a bit. He took my order and offered me water while I was waiting. Thank you, Jalen. Food- Again there needs to be a warning about the chicken sandwiches. This was the biggest chicken thigh sandwich I have ever seen! If you order “The Other Guy” just know you can share it. I glad I ordered a small side of onion rings. The chicken is so tender and juicy. The Karaage chicken is amazing on its own. I have had a lot of Karaage chicken and this one is at the top of my list. The cabbage and tomatoes provide texture and coolness to every bite. The dried chili blend brings subtle heat to the sandwich without being overpowering or lingering on your palette too long. The onion rings are crispy and fried golden brown. Great job chef! Atmosphere- There are plenty of screens to watch the game on. The bar is big enough to give you enough space between you and the friend you haven’t met next to you. The patio seating is also spacious and seems like a good place to have a good food and great conversation. When it warms up, this is the place to be on a spring or summer night. You can turn toward the building and watch the game while you eat. I’m so glad I found this place. I just wish I had found it sooner. See you next time. .

I wouldn't return. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't great. Overcooked burger and cheap meat (not buying the Wagyu claim). Sides were forgettable, beer was good.

Last time I checked I was supposed to have tomatoes, jalapeños, and red onions with my big six veggies. But for some reason the cook decided otherwise…

The music is so loud the waitress didn't remember what I ordered. She never checked on us. The music is really disgusting as well, so many curse words it feels like they are trying to run you out of the restaurant. Response to the owner, we dined yesterday from out of town. The music was at an acceptable level when we sat down, then it was turned off. About 5 minutes later it came back on with some of the most explicit lyrics about womens genitalia and a lot of the n word and other really horrid things that no one wants to hear. Our waitress was inattentive, the bartender was eating behind the bar. I am extremely unhappy with the service. My partner did get his meal, he was happy with the food but hated the experience. I have worked in restaurant most of my career, I was appalled.

They messed up our order, took long to remake it and the girl didn’t even apologize. We also got one order of one of their sides and they tried to charge for 2 of them. I told the girl to remove the extra one and she acted like I was lying? Asked me if I only received one and then went to ask another employee to confirm. Terrible customer service.
