Opinions de Zeppin Sushi Encino
The food was delicious. We had bento boxes. The portions were large! The service was excellent!!
Friendly staff and very delicious sushi! Rainbow roll was especially tasty
They have an option of "all you can eat" or discounted prices at a specific time frame, so it depends on how much you can eat, and usually the waiters would suggest you the correct option to take so you can save financially. Food is really fresh, they have many options of unique rolls and sushi, we also love their tiny ice creams. Service is fast, most waiters are very friendly and very efficient. This is our new favorite sushi place, and we don't leave nearby, it's a drive for us, but we don't mind. Plenty of free parking right in front of the business.
I went last night with the kids to try the happy hour! It's fantastic and such a good deal!! It's from 3-6pm then 8.30p to close. Many drinks, appetizers and rolls options to choose from. We love that they have so many crispy rice options!! Loved the octopus balls! The decor is nice and spacious. The staff is super friendly and efficient. I'll def be back!!!
The best sushi place for the money. There are better play but can't beat the happy hour
The servers here are very kind and attending. Their sushi is very fresh and some of the best quality I've had. Their all you can ear (regular not premium) is completely worth it.
Great food! Love their sushi!
I love this place, Sushi is good my favorite is Zeppin role and the service is always great.
Good place for big companies. Thank you.
What a find! Recommended by a family member, an all-you-can-eat experience that doesn't leave you having to be taken out in a wheelbarrow. The fish was supremely fresh, and we ordered a lot of different types. They had vegetarian rolls and cooked non-fish options as part of the all-you-can-eat options if some of your party aren't sushi fans. The drinks were a reasonable price, and the house hot sake was tasty. Place was super clean and had nice decor. Was comfortable to be in throughout the experience. Recommended.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hidden gem alert! Zeppin Sushi is easily one of the best sushi spots in the entire San Fernando Valley. The fish is fresh, the rolls are creative, and every bite tastes like something out of a high-end sushi bar — without the high-end prices. The staff here? Absolutely amazing. They’re friendly, funny, and genuinely care about making sure you have a great experience. It’s the kind of place where they remember your face, your favorite roll, and make you feel right at home every time you walk in. Their happy hour deals are some of the best around — perfect portions, great prices, and fast service. The all-you-can-eat option is a total steal, with so many delicious choices that you’ll leave full and happy every time. Oh, and don’t sleep on the ramen — seriously, it’s next-level. Rich broth, perfect noodles, and flavor that warms your soul. The atmosphere is relaxed and modern, great for date night, group hangouts, or even just treating yourself after a long day. Zeppin Sushi nails it on all fronts — quality, value, and good vibes. If you’re in the Valley and craving sushi, this is the spot. You’ll come once and find yourself coming back again and again. 🍣🔥
This place is 5 stars all around!! We ordered almost everything. All the fish 🎣 seemed very fresh! I Loved the Tokyo roll, the Salmon 🍣 crunchy rice, and the $1 whole fried soft shell crab 🦀. Staff was super helpful. $35 per person All You Can Eat is a Great deal!! I Loved this place! 😋😋😋
Absolute love this place as always a good visit. We appreciated the great service and vast food options. Simon is a kind manager and the staff is incredibly attentive. Great value for the price if you do premium AYCE. Highly recommend
I had a wonderful time dining here today for lunch. First off the parking lot where this restrauant is in has limited parking spots and it's compact so be aware. There are street parking available but you might have to drive around to find a spot. When I walked in, I got seated quickly in a booth. The staff are wonderful here and customer service is amazing. If you come during happy hour then there a lot of great deals to choose from. My favorite here was the California rolls, Yellowtail rolls and Spicy Tuna. I also got the bulgogi beef and thought it was decent as well. The other people sitting with me got the more premium sushi dishes and other entree. I had a great time here and would recommend checking it out if you're craving some great sushi. The restrauant is also kid and dog friendly because another party came inside with them.
Came for lunch. Price was $34.99. Service was great! Fish was good! Mon & tues they do buy one get one free drinks. Everything came out good. Definitely a good ayce sushi spot. Like that they have escolar and salmon collar on the menu. The dessert at the end is a nice touch. Only thing is they go a little heavy on the rice for nigiri. I’ll come back for sure.
Zeppin Sushi in Encino offers an outstanding all-you-can-eat experience with premium ingredients that set it apart. The fish is incredibly fresh, and their specialty rolls and premium nigiri, especially the A5 Wagyu, are a must-try. The variety of dishes, from sashimi to hand rolls, is top-notch, and the service is attentive. For anyone seeking high-quality sushi in a vibrant setting, Zeppin is the place to be. @sushitraveler
Great place for all you can eat sushi especially during COVID-19 time! Would recommend and come back for more. So many varieties for shared dishes. I would recommend fried squid legs and shrimp and veggie tempura, As for special rolls I like zeppin roll and black dragon roll. Great service and dish presentation. The only tiny bit complain is the chair is rather uncomfortable to sit on and the floor needs for a sweeping. Keep up the great job guys!
I always came here ever since Octopus Restaurant. It looks like an old restaurant from the outside, but they have a modern interior. They serve high-quality ingredients. Thank you for always serving those best! Service was also fine; after covid, I understand it is difficult to find people to work. But this place, def a good place.
I love this place so much! That’s my favorite restaurant in LA! The menu has many choices. Your order is ready in just a 15 minutes. Is in a good package! And taste delicious!!!!🤗
Fresh fish and great rolls for decent price. Definitely recommend. We used to this place when it was Octopus and continue to like it once Zeppin sushi took over. We haven’t try all you can eat. But I am sure it’s good as well
Great all you can eat sushi, good service. M-F before 3pm, $26.95, After 3pm and Sat/Sun (All Day) $29.95. Includes Ice Cream
The place has indoor and outdoor sitting. This is the first restaurant that asked for ID to match our vaccine cards which I respect . The service was great, attentive, polite and pleasant. The food choices are ok, the rolls are nothing special, we were a bit disappointed with their premium rolls selection under all your can eat. However, their appetizers were great! Their garlic edameme was our favorite thing. They also have a different price for kids all you can eat menu which I thought was a great feature

Food was very good and it came so quick! It was pretty cold, but the atmosphere was nice. I recommend for either AYCE sushi or just regular dinner
George and Julia were our servers and they were excellent, super friendly and kind, made us feel like home. Honestly we've been there many times and all the servers are very friendly.
I’ve been coming to Zeppin Sushi for years, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently amazing — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Their sushi is top-notch, and even my kids are huge fans (which says a lot!). It’s one of those rare gems that combines quality with affordability — delicious meals without breaking the bank. Whether it’s a quick lunch or a family dinner, Zeppin always hits the spot.

Fun place to dine. Sushi is fresh. Service was ok. They barely came by. Atmosphere is awesome. Good date place.
Service is recently much better but sushi is ok.. 4/10 for sushi
Great place for sushi the all you cn eat is a must but its not for the faint of heart, the sushi rolls carpaccios and sashimi are really good great service friendly staff, would have given 5 stars except they seem a bit understaff they have the hostess working as a waiter as well, woould recommend this place
The sushi is delicious. The restaurant itself is very clean and has an open layout. Our food has come out at a great speed and staff are super friendly. Their options are a la carte or all you can eat but recommend the all you can eat. There are also food options that are normally not in sushi restaurants if you’ve got a picky eater
Modern looking place (inside). However, they need to upgrade the sits. Sushi is pretty good, very nice presentation. Dynamite has more onions than other ingredients, not enough mayo. It was more like an onion soup. A lot of red onions in Dynamite California roll also. Now about service - they take your order, bring food and forget out you. We had to catch the server any time we needed something (ex: soy sauce dish, napkins). They had not come to our table and asked if everything was good and if we needed something. The girl only came once, after we were already done eating, to ask if we needed more water. Also, I asked for no onions on any rolls. After they brought our first roll with onions, I mentioned it again to two servers, and they still did the rest of our rolls with onions. And we never got our miso soups. All that said, I will probably give this place the second chance.

While the staff were really friendly, the overall experience here was very disappointing. The wait in between orders was incredibly long. There were hardly any rolls that weren’t krabmeat or spicy tuna. It really just felt like they didn’t want to serve you “all you can eat” or anything that was maybe higher quality than the krabmeat and spicy tuna. There are a lot of options for sushi in this area… I’d skip this one.
Below Average AYCE used to be much better but the last time was our last time. We will not be back. The quality of the fish has gone way down..
The number one thing that stood out to me the most was the fish to rice ratio. There is way too much rice and the fish is cut really thin.. come here if you want all you can eat rice. It was good and the fish was good, but the tuna was a little concerning. It tasted a little gummy and it was dying the rice pink. I went here with my friend, and my sister, and my sister ordered a scallop nigiri which took a really really long time to come out. The water was very good and so was the ginger. The crab inside the rolls tasted like they put a lot of cream cheese or mayo or something. The restaurant was clean and there was nice presentation of the food. For 36$ for dinner which was the standard option and the cheapest option they had it was honestly not worth it. I would not recommend coming here if you are a big sushi fanatic like me. I have been to multiple all you can eat sushi, places, and this one is not worth it to us.

- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR - I expected more (from the reviews). Our go to AYCE (Midori Sushi) was closed for black Friday so we opted for a similar experience. Huge disappointment. The rolls were drowned in mayo and *mustard (odd for sushi). The nigiri was really good though. Low score for the customer service. Servers more into their conversation and when we flagged for service we got eye rolls.

Sushi was flat and dried out, cut far too thin. They add deep fried onions to everything and mayonnaise?? I mean have any of these people actually been to Japan is what I want to know. There comes a point in time when you need to stop calling it Sushi and just rename it with some California Americanized name.
I usually come to this spot it is me and my family’s favorite sushi spot, we had a party of four so me, my brother, and my father don’t eat fish so we got bento boxes we got one all you can eat. I reached for one singular edamame, the waiter came up to us and told us no sharing which really confused us because we didn’t even share until she told me that I couldn’t be eating the edamame because it was all you can eat and I ordered a bento, as I asked for a spicy mayo she was very disrespectful towards me and told me “ Really? Already” that was disrespectful to me and told my family learn manners. Very disappointing
Ok I gave it 2 tries. I have friends who rave about this place - especially for being affordable and convenient. First the good: Service is decent even for the busy happy hour, the staff is lovely and they have a large option of food other than sushi. Now the bad: Twice we had sushi that smelled "fishy" and a little funky. The first time I went it was the birthday for one of the friends who swear by this place. I had eaten a few pieces of a 2 different rolls which were over sauced and the quality was marginal - I didn't want to make my friend feel bad so I didn't send it back but honestly I was scared to eat any more because of that smell - SUCH A RED FLAG IN A SUSHI RESTAURANT. The second time I was not with the friends who had recommended Zeppin and again there was that "not fresh smell" My friend agreed with me and we sent it back and just ate our non-sushi items. The servers were apologetic but honestly it isn't their fault that the fish is poor quality and not fresh. I eat sushi pretty regularly and places I know well (and aren't crazy expensive) so I know what good sushi should be (and smell/taste like) Sadly, I won't be giving Zeppin another go. Sushi doesn't get a second (or third) chance.
Couple weeks back, I Googled all you can eat sushi in Encino, called this place to ask them if they do all you can eat and was told no not anymore. Drove by it has a huge banner “all you can eat”. So was I told no bc it was later on at night on weekend maybe too close to closing or do they no longer do AYCE…
Its incredibly annoying be able to place an order on their website just to have someone call me 35 minutes before they close saying they wont be making my order and that i will get a refund in 3-7 days. Change your hours if you don't want the business. Management needs to do better.
