Opinions de Domingo's Encino
This is easily my favorite place to pick up sandwiches from and to shop for Italian delicacies. My family loves to make homemade pizza and we always buy the dough from this location. It’s super cheap and amazingly delicious. Another one of our favorite things is the ciabatta bread. We buy at least six every time we go here. Anytime we go on a trip. We buy a sandwich for everybody for the airplane. We have been coming to this Delly for 30 years, ever since we moved into Encino. I found out today that they have been here since the late 1940s! Their customer service is top-tier as well. They know me by name and members of my family. You must try the smoked Gouda on turkey.
The service was excellent! They asked if we were new, we said yes, and they said ,”Welcome to you both! Thank you for coming!” THAT is how to get return customers. Your food can be subpar, but if your service is 10/10, your food can taste better than it is just because of that. But DO NOT mishear me. Domingo’s sandwiches are to DIE FOR! I had one bite and begged my wife to come back every Sunday after Church. Please come here!!! 10/10 on my Hot Pastrami sandwich and 10/10 on my wife’s Cold Turkey sandwich!!
I just found this place. An Italian deli actually owned and run by Italians. Everybody was super knowledgeable about the products and super helpful. Plus it is fun to be able to speak Italian to someone in LA
Excelent Italian deli with amazing customer support and exceptional food. Definitely worth a shot.

This is easily my favorite Italian deli in the Valley, I’ve been coming to Domingo’s for over 20 years! It’s family-owned with roots that go straight back to Italy. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve stopped in, and they’ve even catered our parties. Everything shows how much pride they put into what they do. No Boar’s Head here, and no store-bought bread. They bake their own ciabatta daily and bring in meats directly from Italy. What really sets them apart is the perfect balance of bread to meat. Most delis pile everything on thick, doughy rolls that feel heavy. At Domingo’s, the ciabatta is thinner, fresh, and perfectly crusty. The other day I didn’t even mind waiting a few minutes while the bread was still in the oven. Totally worth it. If you go, order “The Dom”—their take on a classic Italian sub. And don’t skip the pesto tortellini. Trust me, you’ll want to try it!
Found the most delicious food here. Authentic and freshly made. You can't find a better Italian deli in the Valley. Their tiramisu is so good. Perfectly soaked ladyfingers. Also, they have amazing bread and made fresh bruschetta. Talk about delicious!
The staff was amazing. Good group of people there. They let me custom make my sandwich. Well. They did all the work, I just told them what I wanted on it. It was absolutely incredible. The bread was delicious, nice and crispy with a soft interior, the prosciutto was lean with hardly any fat on it. The fresh mozzarella was delicious. All in all it was one of the best sandwiches I've had in a really long time. The staff like I said was fantastic. I will continue to support them
Very good classic Italian Deli, get the spicy Dom on ciabatta or the classic meatball for a sandwich that won't dissapoint.

5 star cannolis!! I gave it 4 stars because of the time we had to wait and I strongly recommend they make the employees wear hair nets or caps and face masks.

I ordered delivery. Decent Italian deli for sandwiches and pizza.

It looks and feels like it should be good, but the eggplant parmasagn that I ordered tasted like freezer burn (its not hard to freezer burn eggplant, I understand first hand but from a restaurant- that's just frickin' misery inducing). I had thought it would be served on a nice seeded French loaf but it wound up being on a hogie roll. Overall, it was edible, but did not add up to a good east coast Italian-American shop.

I can no longer support this business. I'm so disappointed, I used to love this place but I will NEVER go back again! I don't live very close so I was really excited to be able to stop and get my favorite sandwich - the Spicy Dom. I hadn't eaten all day and was so excited to bite into this delicious sandwich. I take a bite and THERE'S NO MEAT OR CHEESE!!!! I try calling them, can't get through to a person. I try sending messages through their website and keep getting an error. I sent an email with a picture, no response. I finally get through the next day, the person I spoke to was very apologetic and said she'd make sure to process my refund right away. It's now been three weeks and still no refund. I've called several times only to be told the manager will call me back, never happens. I've left more messages and sent more emails and nothing. I WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN!
Found a few strands of hair halfway through my sandwich. Not just one strand, multiple. I’ve never experienced anything like this with a restaurant. To say I’m disgusted would be an understatement.

I tried to give this place many chances. First negative encounter is when I found multiple rolled up pieces of tissue paper in the sandwich. It looked used and honestly really disgusting. Second time around, I placed an order online to pick up. They charged me for the order yet when I arrived their closed sign was posted. No one bothered to notify me and you have to jump through hoops to get a refund. Third time around, they were randomly closed during business hours. They tend to do that often. I will not be returning. Their customer service is mediocre and there’s nothing special about their products except a half decent sandwich conveniently located.
Bought a Veal Parmesan and a Meatball sandwich. Worst I ever saw. The bread was nearly stale and the meatballs were tasteless. The veal was like rubber and also tasteless. Their sauce is sour. These people have no clue. They overcooked all the meat. Also - there was hardly any cheese on either sandwich. The food is terrible. Go somewhere else.
I love the sandwiches at this place, but I dread ordering every time. I can’t remember the last time I ordered where it was smooth, order was ready and no mistakes to the order. Their systems and processes are broken and something has to be done by management or this place will not be around.
Their hours might say open until 6pm but they won’t serve you after 5:30pm, just a heads up. I ordered off their website in ample time before their closing, showed up in enough time before closing, arrived and they refused to make my order and turned me away. Also wouldn’t give me my money back. And said hopefully it shows up on my card in a few days. And a happy holidays on the way out. Won’t be coming back here. Lost the business of this long time customer
Ordered four items for $50. I wouldn’t be leaving a negative review over one or two issues, but when we’re getting to four issues with a four item order I feel the need to say something. The order was significantly delayed, an item was missing when I first received my order, no spread was added to one sandwich, and another sandwich was not what I ordered. I hope if I ever return, strong if, this will not be the experience again. For better or worse I’ll try to update this review if that day comes.
This is the third time we have tried to stop at your store to make an order and the worst of the three dismal attempts. My husband stood at the counter for literally over 5 or 6 mins without even being acknowledged. When he did get some guy to help he was clueless. He finally got the Molinari salami, but when we asked for provolone, after waiting again 5 or 6 mins, my husband saw him working the meat slicer with something that clearly was not even cheese!! When asked if thar was our provolone, the guy replied "oh we don't have any". So what the hell was he slicing? Why didn't he ask if we wanted a substitute? Four people were behind my husband waiting to order, two left and my husband did not get to complete our order. Obviously you thought you would succeed merely on Tony's reputation. Instead this is a disgrace. Extremely disappointed and will not try again. Your owner needs to go to Monte Carlo's in Burbank to see how a real Italian store runs.
I’ve been coming here a while but never again after getting the worst food poisoning of my life from their red pepper spread. Me and my husband both got violently ill from it. Not to mention I’m pregnant and was truly such a scary experience. Used to overlook how painfully slow the service was because the sandwiches were so good but after this experience, im good
