Opinions de Miho Sushi Tarzana
The sushi here has very high-quality ingredients, and the sushi chefs are very skilled. I prefer to go and sit at the bar and ask the opinion of the sushi chefs on what to order I’ve never had a bad meal. A lot of their rolls are innovative. Very small restaurant. Service is first rate. There is ample free parking in the strip mall in which the restaurant is located.
Everything was delicious! We sat at the bar and the chef's recommendations were *delightful.* The fish was fresh and delicate. The service was fantastic -- very attentive! As soon as we finished a plate, servers were quick to clear the dish, and prompt refills for our beverages. This is a new favorite for sure!
Quality sushi and top of the line hospitality.
Everyone should be picky when it comes to sushi. The sushi quality and taste at Miho Sushi is phenomenal. The spicy tuna crispy rice “Annie style” is SO GOOD. I’ve had weeks where I’d go daily and get a huge meal there. I bring my kids all of the time, and their friends as well, and I’ve even met a lot of really cool people there. Honestly, the food is amazing and better than any sushi in LA. It’s my go-to place. Although it’s hard to top the food, the owners and staff are amazing. They’re really good people, and treat their customers well. Easy five stars.
My dad and I were in the area a few months back and found Miho to have the best reviews so we gave it a shot and the rest is history. Sushi is my favorite food so I appreciate great sushi when I see it. The main chef/other staff are always so kind and welcoming. The restaurant is fairly small with only 25 seats inside so you feel comfortable as if it’s a little neighborhood restaurant. I love premium sushi such as uni, toro, live scallop, and many more. Miho’s quality is unmatched. I was worried when I came the first time because some sushi places don’t have good quality premium sushi but I fell in love right away after the first bite here. The main chef gets his fish every single day fresh from the fish market. The fish tastes as fresh as possible in my opinion. My girlfriend is more of a basic sushi eater who likes the usual rainbow and crunch rolls and she absolutely loves them here! I know some people complained about the pricing here but when it comes to sushi, I believe if you’re getting amazing quality then the price shouldn’t matter. And their prices are honestly not bad at all compared to other premium sushi restaurants I’ve been to. Miho is a hidden gem in a big shopping center but I’m glad I found it because I will be a customer here for life. Cheers!
I am a Sushi snob by far, I have been privileged and lucky enough to have eaten deliciousness by the greatest Sushi Chefs in LA, I can honestly say that Miho is AMAZING! Fiat and his crew are Top Notch 10 out of 10! Excellent cuts, no bougie pretence just ALL serious deliciousness 😋😋😋😋 The atmosphere is very low-key and very happy! He definitely has a following! Did I also mention the Sake?🍶 delicious!! I also love the fact that they remember all my favorite dishes! Love this place! ♥️💯😋💯♥️
Can’t speak to the actual dining experience. Ordered takeout. Got the Spider roll and the Maguro Tataki roll. Both tasted good. Wouldn’t rant and rave about how amazing the food was but it was good.
Great local sushi spot! Staff is always friendly and welcoming and the food is excellent/reasonably priced.
Great little sushi restaurant with authentic decor and fresh food. Service is quick too. The place is small so I wouldn't recommend it for more than a party of 4 or 5 max. Great hidden gem with easy parking.
Amazing service super wonderful people truly. And super delicious food. Order for pick up and accidentally order something with scallops (I’m allergic) they were quick to change this for me . Once again super lovely place
First time eating here today and I was totally impressed! Fresh, friendly and DELICIOUS!! The best salmon skin salad ever! The crispy rice and spicy tuna, fabulous; and the rainbow roll, to die for. I highly recommend!!
This is one of those hidden gems. The fish is always fresh. They have an excellent assortment and carry some of the more gourmet types like Toro, Yellowtail Belly, Japanese Flying Fish, etc. It's a tiny place, so seating is limited, but they also get a ton of take out orders, so the chefs here stay busy. This is definitely a happy place so it can get loud with laughter and chatter. When we go back home to visit our first stop is to see our framily at Miho. Fiat, Tac, and Taun always make sure we are well taken care of and give us a friendly welcome.
The best sushi restaurant I've ever been to hands down. All the staff really put in so much effort with every dish they make, they also are very likeable people. Everytime I go I feel welcomed and I have a great experience.
I love Miho sushi! Very small and intimate restaurant, I have been there three times for lunch so far. I love their lunch special bento box, it's excellent value for price. I took the grilled salmon with 4 pieces of excellent sashimi (mix of salmon & tuna) and it came with a miso soup, a salad and rice. Ingredients were fresh and tasted really good. Service was attentive!
I literally happened upon this place randomly. My friend and I were driving back from Laurel Canyon and typed in Best sushi in Tarzana and this place came up. We decided to give him a shot and I’m so glad we did. Seriously amazing “real” Authentic sushi and no crummy Americanized rolls created to hide sub standard fish. This fish was amazing, glistening, and fresh. The rice was done correctly, smaller rice portions that were still slightly Warm against icy, cold fish the ankimo was truly the best I’ve ever had and the uni was perfection. The jumbo scallop was juicy and firm…so fresh!! We will be back!!
Came on a Saturday night, wait for 2 was about 15 mins. We sat at the bar and were promptly helped. The sushi rolls were so good! Fish was fresh and the rolls had great flavor. Rolls pack a lot of fish. Parking - it’s in a plaza so plenty of free open parking.
Great place. Is very small, but dont let that full you. It's a very busy place with pick-up orders also. Everything i have had here is fresh and tastes amazing. This is my spot to come have authentic sushi. The drinks are authentic as the place. I always come back is my favorite place to have sushi.
Have been coming here for years. One of the best sushi spots in the Valley.
This place is that your definition of a hole in the wall. It's a cute little restaurant with really great service and shockingly excellent sushi! I went in there for lunch one day not expecting much and left a fan. I can't tell you how many times I've been back since! I consider myself to be pretty bougie when it comes to sushi and this place meets all my needs. Shout out to the sushi chefs, Fiat, Tom, & Tan!! If you're picky you won't be disappointed. Unbelievably fresh sushi, amazing quality, and let's not forget they put the plates out with beautiful presentation!! I highly recommend 🥰 I tend to order some of the more expensive stuff but they have a menu that will suit any budget!
Miho Sushi in Tarzana is a cozy little restaurant with an atmospheric setting. The food here is truly delicious, especially the fresh sushi. The restaurant is small, so it's best to visit with a small group. The staff is friendly and provides quick service. I recommend it for those who appreciate high-quality sushi in a relaxed environment.
Very small restaurant, but amazing quality and flavor. The nigiri sushi, sashimi, and rolls were top notch. At least half the rolls are very unique and well done. I also ordered a bento box to try it, unfortunately the beef was overcooked and dry for my taste. Stick to the seafood and you'll be fine. Maybe 10 tables at most, I didn't get to count. Majority of the tables are for 2 people, there were maybe 2 or 3 tables for 4 and some seats at the sushi bar. Lots of parking available in the strip mall.
#NomNom 😍😋 #WhenInTarzana This local, small business sushi spot is our new favorite spot!!! It's only been open for 6 months. The 3 young owners all work in the small and quaint "cafe like" restaurant; taking turns hosting, waiting, cooking, rolling, and washing. Their passion shines through their food and hospitality!!! #SupportLocal ✊🏾 #SupportSmallBusiness 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽🤩 The rolls are so fresh and the sushi rice is so moist!!!! We discovered it Friday and went back on SUNDAY!!! #itisthatgood 😋😋😋 They have Happy Hour from 4pm-6pm(?), drink specials and $2 off Premium Rolls. 🍣🍣🍤🍤🍱🥣🥗🍚🥢🥃🍶🍵🤗 Rolls ordered, but not all pictured: California Roll--THE BEST!!! Crunch Roll Soft Shell Crab Roll Yellow Crab Roll Crazy Tuna Roll, sub tuna with avocado Giant Roll, no salmon
If you enjoy Sushi as an art and experience, this is the spot for you. Miho has the freshest, most tender fish I’ve ever eaten. The red snapper carpaccio is packed with a little perfect punch of flavor. The maguro tataki roll brings it all together with amazing texture and flavor. This is the best sushi spot in LA, for those who are looking to enjoy fish instead of posting their meal on their instagram story. The atmosphere is intimate and vibrant and you’ll leave with a smile on your face:) (much much much better as a dine-in experience than delivery.) it’s worth the visit and it’s worth your money.
I ordered pickup for the first time for lunch since I work so close to this place and I was very happy! Got the chicken teriyaki lunch bento and a side of the California hand roll. Everything was super yummy and affordable!! The chicken was tender, teriyaki sauce was perfectly sweet, the salad dressing was tangy, and the California rolls/ hand roll was amazing! The woman who took my order over the phone was kind and read out my order back to me and after 20mins my order was ready, as she said it would be! The location is small but very clean. I’ll definitely be ordering again!
Cute place with great, fresh sushi. Came there randomly and it was a great time. Food was good. Tastes the love in the food and everything tasted very fresh. Would definitely come back!
Love this spot. I prefer it over bougie restaurants in LA. Food is incredible, beer is always chill and fresh. Sushi is awesome. Always get the eel sushi for a dessert sushi.
Little hole in the wall place. But a gold mine. I absolutely love the quality of their sushi. Delicious. Very friendly staff and prices are descent. They have happy hour. I'll definitely come back.
Will definitely return! Had assorted tempura, fried calamari, albacore on fire, giant roll and 9-1-1 roll (3 people dine in) 3 coke cans and lemonade. With 20% tip came out to $88.88 (intentionally)! Pictured is 9-1-1 roll.

We had dinner here for the first time last night, after several recommendations from friends we decided to try it. Everything was perfect.
We've been going to this place since it opened and cannot find a better place for a quick bite of sushi. The food is always high quality, service is excellent, the chefs are great and always have weekly specials and new things to try. I especially love their spicy hand rolls and fresh rolls.
Amazing sushi experience! The server was super kind and went out of their way to accommodate my gluten-free needs. Everything was so fresh and delicious — I felt completely taken care of. Highly recommend!

Nice place cute little place love it but the major problem is the tip that they force you to give is a minimum of 18% and it goes up to like 30%. This is getting way out of hand and really crazy and then they hover over you so they're looking at you while you're giving the tip it makes it very uncomfortable and you don't even let you cook less than 18%. I personally am a very big tipper so I do 20 to 30% minimum but that's cuz I'm crazy and I'm rich but I think it's not fair for regular people to have this as the only choices
Normally sashimi salad has nice cuts of fish. Here they give you the unpleasant looking end cuts pre-mixed in the strong sauce to cover the fact that fish isn't really fresh ;( that didn't make me feel good... Sushi was fine
Small but definitely taste Japanese resturant. We had chicken teriyaki bento box with CA roll and Sashimi lunch. The portion is okay but I wish we can have more slices of sashimi.

Wished I had a better meal. Had the sushi lunch today for $18. Salad is limp, miso soup salty, salmon, tuna and shrimp- definitely not fresh, (thin slices.. seems store/costco bought?), tomago ( store bought) .. the albacore covered by fried onions. Food quality was disappointing but service was attentive.

I wanted to try this local place since they had happy hour and come to find out it is only $1 off rolls (but better than nothing) and not many items for a happy hour menu. I probably won't go back and don't recommend it here for the food or happy hour. We ordered a jalapeno spicy tuna roll with albacore on top, but it was so filled with a mayonnaise flavor and other toppings, I couldn't taste the fish. We also ordered a mackerel sushi, but it was horribly not fresh and couldn't even eat it because it was so tough and almost dried up. It was pretty awful.
Update - They raised their prices and their fish is definitely not worth the price increase. The fish tasted a couple days old and was warmer than the rice. Dropped down to 2 stars from 3 starts __________ Not the greatest, not the worst. This place is all in all average by definition. Decent for price. The only downside is that a couple times i was there, there were a couple obese lapd officers that show up and are obnoxiously loud
My husband and I have came here a few times. The rolls are not all that great and the selection is small…most with imitation crab, mushy rolls that don’t hold. The service is…not warm. Noticed that our greeting isn’t as warm as other patrons…same with departure. Only items that are good are the Orion beer, 2 piece salmon belly and the fried calamari is cool. Better sushi places in SFV such as Tatsuki in Woodland Hills or Midori Sushi in Sherman Oaks. I don’t recommend.
Is this a joke? I ordered $45 worth of sushi (2 rolls and a seaweed salad) and I received a half empty container. No chopsticks. And a tiny bit of seaweed salad. Will never order from here again. This is an absolute joke.

My recent visit to Miho Sushi in Tarzana left me extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. From the moment I walked in, the experience was nothing short of chaotic and rushed. To start, I ordered a miso soup, expecting a traditional and comforting bowl of soup. However, to my surprise and dismay, there were shrimp shells floating in it, something that was not mentioned on the menu or disclosed by the staff. As someone with a shellfish allergy, this was not only upsetting but also potentially dangerous. Furthermore, the service was incredibly rushed and pushy. It felt like the staff were trying to turn tables as quickly as possible, leading to a rushed dining experience. The sushi was practically shoved onto our table, and we were urged to eat quickly. This resulted in an uncomfortable and unenjoyable meal, leaving me feeling sick and uncomfortable afterwards. Overall, my experience at Miho Sushi was subpar, and I would not recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. The lack of communication about ingredients and the rushed service were major letdowns, and I will not be returning.
One of the most expensive cheap tasting sushi I’ve ever had.
I really wanted to like this place, but the service completely ruined the experience. The food was okay, nothing special, but the lady server was unbelievably rude from the moment we sat down. No greeting, no smile, no patience just attitude the entire time. Every question felt like it annoyed her, and she acted like she didn’t want us there. It’s disappointing because good customer service makes such a big difference, and this place just didn’t care. I won’t be coming back, and definitely wouldn’t recommend it if you want to actually enjoy your meal.
