Went to Best Pizza and Brew in escondido for the first time and if is hands down the spot to go. The pizza was so fresh, loaded with flavor, and perfectly cooked! The atmosphere is really welcoming, the team looked like they were working hard AND having fun. The service was on point despite it being busy! Everyone is so friendly and personable there! AND its dog friendly, they even have a dog menu which is good to know for next time! Merch was cute too! What also stood out to me was the manager, Mari, who truly made this place stand out. You can tell she runs the restaurant with professionalism, positivity, and genuine care for both customers and staff. You can see that she takes pride in creating a great experience which is rare to see these day! she’s attentive, friendly, and keeps everything running smoothly! I can tell she’s a big reason this location feels like a community!

I’m there almost every day.” When a man who runs on ambition, espresso, and chaos voluntarily sits down for lunch daily in the same spot… you get curious. So I went to Best Pizza & Brew in Escondido. First impression? The atmosphere is just right. Lively but not loud, warm without trying too hard, that perfect balance where you can feel relaxed and still a little fancy. It has personality. The kind you notice immediately. Now let’s talk food — because I don’t play about food. I have… standards. The pizza crust? Proper. Crisp outside, soft inside. Balanced. The wings? Honestly unfair. Juicy, flavorful, borderline addictive. And everything just feels done with care — not rushed, not sloppy. Even for someone with slightly elevated, slightly French, slightly dramatic taste (guilty), it absolutely delivers. And the service? Smooth. Friendly. Effortless. The kind of energy that makes you want to stay for one more drink… or dessert… or both. Now I understand why Oleg keeps disappearing there for lunch. I thought he was exaggerating. He was not. My go to is the Cesar salad, but the Greek is really good too. Honestly, even their specialty salad is bomb. But I love the meat lovers here, and I always add fresh garlic to my pies. Plenty of parking in the back, or street parking along v. parkway.

Huge outdoor patio, real fire pits burning, warm glow everywhere, TVs in all the right places, people relaxed, laughing, enjoying life. It’s chill, romantic, classy without trying too hard. You can show up casual or dressed sharp — either way you belong. In the middle of what I jokingly call the “lost city suburbs,” this place feels like Beverly Hills secretly relocated to Escondido. Now the pizza… my God. This is not pizza — this is gourmet art. Perfect crust, balanced ingredients, real flavor, not that cheap greasy nonsense. Every bite feels intentional. Whoever runs that kitchen knows exactly what they’re doing. Wine selection is excellent too. Not overwhelming, just smart, tasteful choices that actually match the vibe. But what truly made this visit unforgettable was Mari, the manager. In many years of traveling, restaurants, and business meetings, I rarely meet someone with that level of presence. She is so professional and super cute, yet clearly business-oriented with strong, confident character — the kind of person who elevates an entire establishment just by being there. Absolutely stunning, naturally beautiful, yet incredibly professional, sharp, and genuinely kind. She helped me charge my half-dead Segway right at the bar without hesitation — who does that? That alone saved my night. She even convinced me to order a properly crafted non-alcoholic drink so I don’t look like some lost Red Bull kid at the bar. That level of awareness and hospitality is rare. To whoever reads this from ownership or management — take care of Mari. Ensure she gets an immediate raise and an Employee of the Month badge effective immediately. I insist. People like her are the reason customers come back. Mari represents what hospitality is supposed to be — effortless, intelligent, warm, and real. This place is not pretending to be great. It simply is. 10 stars. Easy. One love. God bless.
Wow wish we found this place earlier ! Whenever a shop call their pizzas best, I avoid it lol but their pizzas are great! Definitely top 5. Love that we can get slices and try different kinds. The hot honey pizza was amazing!!! Loved the fire place, surfing videos, music, service are all awesome. Also it was super affordable priced where everywhere else we need over $50 for 2 people, it was $30 (2 slices eat w beer and tip). Really big place with tons of seating indoor outdoor, parking lot is a plus on downtown Esco. We will certainly be back !!
A tad bit pricey but worth it. Delicious pizza, great tasting beer and a cool atmosphere, they've got it all. Perfect place to grab lunch with a group of friends.
no exaggeration, this pizza is SO bomb! Second time coming back in the same week. Also, their customer service is incredible! Accidentally showed up to the wrong location for my order & Mari helped me out. Do yourself a favor & order the barata pizza— or 10!

The pizza crust was thin and cooked perfectly and had a great crunch, but was still chewy, which means they are cooking at a high enough temperature. Some cool merchandise and an awesome self-serve water station so you’re never having to wait to refill water and gives the kids something to go do I can definitely get busy for sporting event days and seating can become a premium some outdoor seats but has a good indoor outdoor atmosphere

Today was my first time there what a great experience the food was delicious all my beauty people told me to try it so I did I found my new pizza spot it is Wood Fired Pizza it's spot on absolutely delicious and the people that work there are so nice I had a procedure done in my leg and I couldn't walk in to get my pickup order and the girl brought it out to me with a smile we are originally from Boston have lived out here for 30 years and we're big Foodies their wings are to live for I love that you can choose which side of the wing that you want cuz I like the flats my husband likes the other side but it was about me today LOL and that sweet chili sauce is on point it was absolutely delicious all their food is so good and the salads are spectacular I don't always write reviews but this definitely deserves one welcome to Escondido and may you stay long and prosper. I didn't even have to ask for side sauce napkins and utensils everything was put together with a smile outstanding customer service I even called them personally to tell them what my experience was like I really needed that today and I'm hooked

This place is fun and busy with a cool alternative sports/SoCal vibe. The menu has interesting variety and the ingredients seem high quality. People seemed to be loving their cocktails and spritzers. It serves a lot of different pizzas by the slice, which they warm up for you when you order it. The pizzas were inventive, but I didn't enjoy mine because it was still cold inside. No one came to see how we were, and they were so busy, there wasn't an opportunity to grab someone and ask for my food to be heated. Orders were taking a long time to come out. I'd go back to see if these issues get better at a different time. I think we were there at around 7 on a weeknight. TVs are throughout. It has a lot of open air area (I kept my coat on inside in January), with fire features you could be sit at in a couple of places. They have a patio with space heaters. EDIT: Went back for lunch. Not as busy, asked to make sure my pizza was thoroughly hot and it was. The garden salad had very fresh ingredients and was great. Our order taker was sweet and someone stopped by our table twice. Changed review to 5 stars!
I just celebrated a best friend's birthday this past weekend. Great atmosphere, great food and drinks, and the service was excellent! Kudos to Ethan and Isaac for amazing bar service and recommendations. Can't wait to celebrate there again!
Came here the other day with my family and it was really cool! Really liked the vibes of this place. Staff was super friendly too. Mari and Val were especially helpful they suggested the house salad with chicken and avocado which I got and it was the BEST salad I’ve had in a while. Will definitely be back!
Great for a date night or a family pizza night. From their fire pits to their comfy chairs. They have great deals and even give you a free slice with purchase of a shirt. Pizza was NY style and wings were nice and crunchy. Greek salad was was really good and staff was attentive and inviting. Will definitely be back!
Jared was a great server, had a smile on his face made me blush a little. I had an okay day and wanted pizza, the taste and his face my day. He was also really funny he kept making me giggle. It just made the atmosphere even more amazing.
Just plain yummy. Easy, chill vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. They serve beer, of course, and some mixed drinks. I love their salads and usually get a half portion which is perfect for me. Their pizza is very thin crust and so delicious. Excellent place to get a good bite without breaking the bank. Also, I think Wednesday is pint night. They pick a special brew that's on special.
Picked up a pizza to go to support a school fundraiser and it was delicious. While I was waiting a wonderful server gave my daughter a cookie for waiting. Great, friendly service. Nice atmosphere. Good food :)

Their chicken wings are so juicy, flavorful, and crisp, you don't even need sauce on them! And believe me, I love a good buffalo with blue cheese dressing. But these wings hit right. It must be the beef tallow they fry them in. 😚 Their house salad is the best. Everyone's house salads are so simple and uses the same recipe for their "house salad". This one is unique with the delicious gorgonzola, cranberries, walnuts and leafy greens. Don't be afraid to try the cauliflower or the brussel sprouts!! YUM. The staff is always super cool and friendly and the setting is comfortable. This is a go to, for sure. Jimmy is always amazing and helpful with things; I love seeing him in the restaurant because I know he's gonna get it right. He's highly ambitious and it's great seeing that in the work place.

New favorite pizza spot! Went for the first time and Isaac helped me decide what to get. He was super friendly and talked to me about all his favorite menu items and helped me land on the buffalo chicken pizza. Also got some of that fresh ranch and it was all fire. Food and location were on point and Isaac is the best!
Let's face it -- we live in a world now where it costs $8 for a draft pint of beer, wherever you go. That's why you want to go to a place with great service... where you feel appreciated. The staff at BP&B do that. Particular shout out to Ethan behind the bar, and manager Jimmy. They treat you right. (Oh, and the pizza and wings are pretty awesome as well).
Best Pizza Escondido is truly the best. I took my two sons under 5 there around 11:30 for lunch on a Sunday and it was so much fun to see other families there with young kids too. We were all able to enjoy delicious drinks and food.

10/10! We love Best Pizza but this location specifically is our favorite! The sausage burratta pizza is unmatched. Isaac is always so helpful and everyone on the team is so kind and attentive. Patio is family friendly and dog friendly! Our favorite week night spot!
Came about a month ago and spoke with the manger mari she was super helpful and kind. Valerie and lana were also helpful at the register gave me so many good suggestions! Will definitely be back there for the burger and the garlic knots! Best pizza place ive been to in a while!!!

This place is amazing! Food is absolutely delicious. Atmosphere and vibe are great. Staff is super nice and attentive. Dog friendly with water bowls and a small pet menu. There are a couple fire pits and heaters for the patio on colder nights.
I've been to this Best Pizza & Brew location twice now and both times I've had a great experience. The staff are nice and very welcoming. Service was overall very good. Food was good BUT I do have a very minor complaint with the chicken on my buffalo chicken. It was a little dry, not crazy dry just a little dry. Very minor and still give this place an overall 5 stars!

I didn't end up eating at the restaurant, but the food was very good. It's your classic pizza pub. They cheese their pizzas appropriately for what you pay and the flavors are good. They certainly have something for just about anyone. It gets pretty busy, but if you order takeout ahead of time you can really enjoy good pizza without the wait, or if you come during some of their less busy times, they have a good atmosphere and drink selection.
All in all this is an amazing spot in Escondido! The food is delicious both pizzas and other (I love their Club). The beer selection is robust and full of really solid options. The service has always been amazing! Both times I’ve gone I ran into Samantha who was a rockstar, super knowledgeable and super fun to chat with. Not too mentioned in a prime location with a close walk to many awesome spots. I look forward to coming back soon!

It’s become a Friday night tradition for our family. Great pizza, great atmosphere and great service even when they are busy. Yes, it’s more expensive than other pizza options but you pay for the quality of the overall location and experience. I appreciate local chain like these guys, making an investment in San Diego county and the community.

The flavor with the honey drizzle was fantastic. The atmosphere was chill with killer music. Employees were really nice and accommodating. The reason for 4 stars i asked for our pizza slightly well done and it wasn't, i like the cheese to be more cooked.I will definitely return.

We walked in during the 5PM rush before the holiday parade in Escondido. They were absolutely slammed! A line out the door that didn't let up the whole time we were there. The beer menu was a little hard to find from the line, we ordered individual slices and there was a backup at the warming oven, but we found a seat, had a brew and a slice, and an enjoyable light dinner before the parade. Crew was all very nice, but a little stressed considering the volume of business they had.
