Great location on the banks of the Ohio River. Had excellent seating. My steak was perfectly seared medium and my wife had the shrimp pasta which she enjoyed. I had an excellent old fashioned which was mixed perfectly. My wife had margarita which was delicious. Highly recommended for a celebration. The prices are reasonable for a fine dining restaurant.

We had a very nice meal last night and our food and the service was top notch. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip for an appetizer and all the table sampled it and found it very tasty. For our salads we enjoyed the house salads and wedge salads. For the entrees we had the filets, new york strip and the blackened neptune. We also tried a dessert and found the evening and the dinner most pleasurable. We look forward to dining with them in the future.

Great place to have dinner and play at Ballys. It is great for formal or casual parties. It is well staffed with very friendly professional people. It is really easy to find using Google Maps. There is plenty of free parking in their large multi-story parking garage. The food here is great and will come out as ordered. The have a great jumbo shrimp and pasta .

If you don’t order a steak you doing yourself a disservice. Came here on a weeknight for some drinks and dinner before hitting the casino and was very please with the service and large selection of steak and sides (scalloped potatoes are a must)The live music at the bar was a great complement to the excellent dinner. Will definitely be back if I am in a town again.

This place has good atmosphere so it’s perfect place for date or celebrating anniversary. The staffs were very friendly and nice! I’ve been here twice time but I think the food is soso compared with the price.

Cavanaugh's is a MUST if you're in the downtown Evansville area and want an upscale meal, cocktails, and ambiance. They got us in for a last minute Saturday evening reservation, and it was very nice. I wish I remembered our servers name. She was amazing and so attentive.

We were there on a Saturday night to celebrate a 21st birthday. The service was great along with the sides. My wife and I had the Prime Rib which we both thought was not near as good at the price tag. My daughter had the pasta which she enjoyed. I would say if you are going pick something other than the Prime Rib.

Overall the atmosphere was decent and quite peaceful, I was a little disappointed at having to go through a casino smelling like straight cigarettes for the entry way but I’m from out of town so it’s not horrible. The food overall was ok at best in my opinion out of all the restaurants I’ve been present in. The presentation of food was poor in my opinion, while the mashed potatoes were over buttered and the steaks were over salted. Our waitress was quite nice tho a very welcoming gentleman, made sure we were taken care of and had excellent service overall.

Honestly, the only redeeming factor of the place was the waiting service. The food was not good. I got the tbone steak and that was good, but everything else was mediocre at best (especially for those prices). I went in with expectations, and the food didn't meet those expectations. To summarize, the waiter gave an exceptional experience, but the food was "meh".

Bring back the upbeat piano music! It’s dead now, sounds like a boring restaurant with piano music rather than a fun piano bar!!! I won’t be back until management changes it back to the way it used to be! I miss the old EJ!
