Excellent service! It was nearly empty on the Sunday I went with my family, which I was surprised about because the prices are good and the service was fast! The staff are pleasant, and the music is on brand 👍🏽 I don't want to speak on the food yet, until I try more items. I will say that I enjoyed the sauce that came with the chips. Overall really great place to gather.

Really friendly staff, shrimp tacos excellent, perfectly cooked, fun decor with huge framed mirrors with a Rivera-esq feel. Easy off and on the freeway and NOT nasty fast food. Fresh and fast service. I don't get why this place has low ratings. Highly recommend!

Haven't been here in ages...we ordered a quesadilla, Favela's asada burrito and a shrimp burrito. Everything was delicious.

Had lunch there at 2 pm (Feb 2026) today and was last here 2 or 3 years ago. Both times I was with a hiking group and 2 out of 2 times everyone really liked the food and atmosphere, plus you can get a bottled beer just not much of a selection. I asked for a vegetarian bean burrito with no rice or dairy, just whole beans, lettuce, guac and pico, and they added red cabbage and the lettuce was a nice mix and food was served quickly. Thumbs up to the staff, too.

Had the Favela's Special Steak Burrito and a beer. Quick and delicious.

Food had plenty of flavor. Very delicious. Staff was nice and patient. Nice mom and pop restaurant we hope more people will support and enjoy as we did!

I had the quesadillas and my wife had a carnitas burrito. I only took pics of my plate. We ordered on the restaurant website and the food was ready by the time we came to pick it up which was about 10-15 mins so that was awesome. The quesabirria was delicious! A decent amount of meat and the dipping juice was excellent. What we ordered was great, 5 stars. I would’ve given it an overall 5 if they would’ve included chips to go. That being said I will still be back for this order many times to come. Great food.

First time here..very nice staff and atmosphere. I had pork tamales..they were good..a little dry. My son had a steak taco..he said it was good..meat could be seasoned a little more. Prices were very reasonable .you can eat for under $20 and be full. BOTTOM LINE. it's good - I will try other items

I was surprised that I ordered a regular beef burrito and water to drink. I asked for a straw and was told that straws are for softdrinks only. The glass of water was not even filled and I asked twice to for water. I walked out off the place after getting my order. A $11 burrito a hard to get water to drink and straw. Never again.

Horrible service. Our party had two orders and both were wrong. The lady at the cash register acted like she understood English but she obviously didn't. Food was disappointing!

Just wanted to start off with the food here is good. Although the tamale I had was a little dry. It is also very expensive for what you get. To give you an idea, 3 combo plates w/ soft drinks will cost you $50.... After paying I was expecting to have some take home. As it turned out there was barely enough to stave off everyone's hunger. Service was okay as well and the food came out quickly. Don't expect to be waited on here as you have to order your food at the counter as you come in. Not a restaurant that offers a military discount. When I asked before paying I was told that it was in the works but I apparently was out of luck as it was not yet in the system. No attempt was made to apply it to my check (Manager approval or senior discount as some places do).

Went to buy a burrito for my husband got a fajita burrito last time I checked fajitas have onions and Bell Peppers I sat there while the guy just slapped some hot sauce on the meat then put the meat in a pan where he was cooking seafood last time I checked that was cross contamination and management should find a better and more cleanly cook and not planning to go back for a mostly rice and bean burrito the meat portion was very small too!!

We went we saw we ate. They wanna be cheap with their food but not cheap prices.

After visiting for some time the food was always good. Tonight it was horrible. Everything was so sweet it tasted as if sugar was added on purpose I was so upset and disappointed I could have spit! !!!

The lady was rude not friendly. the burrito had a good taste but small portions of over cooked dry chicken.

There was an older woman that was working the register that was extremely rude. Honestly we felt they only cared about getting our money and didn't care about us the costumers. They didn't even check up on our table and the woman refused to give us refills on our fountain drinks even though we spent way more than is the average cost it we would of spent going somewhere else. It was ridiculous! The food want amazing for the cost either ....

Employees are very nice. Atmosphere was great. Place is nice... But that's not why I am here, I'm here for the food! -The prices are very high! $6.99 for *a slice* of Flan. 😳 - They use Mission tortillas for tacos. BIG points subtracted for that. Those are the worst, non Mexican tortillas ever. There are literally places everywhere in Fairfield that sell GOOD tortillas. -Salsa looked/tasted like ketchup. -Food was gross, straight up. When I left i had buyers remorse, I wish I didn't spend $40 on the very bland food. We will not be coming back. I'd prefer La Doña Mexican food, trust me on this!! I only came here because La Doña was closed. 😭

Fish was bad! Paid over $90 and they said “sorry that’s what we serve” well it was rotten! Had to move it off the table just because the smell!! I love me some good red snapper and wow was this far from good

The worst Spanish rice I have ever had. Salsa that had absolutely no flavor. All portions less than adequate considering the high price. Overall substandard, I wonder how they stay in business. I will never return. Dinner for 3 with sodas $54.

Saturday June 12th. 6:48 pm. There’s a few to-go orders but other than that the place is NOT busy, we are the only ones here. It’s super hot in here, i guess there’s no AC…we finally were acknowledged, ordered our food and sat down, the service was slow. Food just okay. I’ll change my review if they do better next time

I have never reviewed a restaurant in my life before, no matter the experience. But I just wanted to say that if you enjoy waking up at 1:30 in the morning to vomit uncontrollably, again at 2:30, and once more at 5:30, then this is the place for you. This was only the fourth time I had ordered from Favelas and it was certainly the last. It is not worth the risk to get food poisoning. The tacos were'nt great either.

Very rude staff..I ordered a vegi burrito and she asked me if i wanted Cheese, Sour Cream and Guacamole..all which were extra..I agreed and paid $13.93 for a Vegi burrito..A bit steep and over priced..I asked for chips..Which also were extra..$3.95..Got home and guess what..No sour cream..No Guacamole..but a lump of cheese which was way over bearing...Never ever going back.!!! Dont go there..Prices too high...Poor service and nasty food...

DO NOT GO HERE. Terrible service, food isn’t great, and they charge you for extra green sauce (tf). Over priced for nasty food. You better off going to a random food truck. Don’t go especially if you are black.

Worst Taqueria in town! Ordered and payed extra for Wet Burrito and got the driest burrito ever !!! My tortilla was super hard ! Just horrible !!

I use to go here years ago no problem. Food was always good I always ordered the vegetarian burrito never had an issue giving the number for my order. Today I went on my lunch and ordered a vegetarian burrito I received a shredded beef. Not what I ordered! Called and explained to the lady who took my order she said I remember you I took your order and said your order was confusing you said no pico um ok. I said I ordered the number my burrito was labeled said no pico sour cream on the side green sauce on the side the only thing right was the green sauce. So frustrating!! She didn’t offer to give my money back or make another she pretty much said it was my fault!!! So I’m out 11.00 and had no lunch. Terrible way to treat a customer being that I work in the public and handle complaints ALL day that definitely isnt a way to treat a customer you want to come back. I never write reviews ever because I don’t like to complain but that was horrible customer service!!!

We have lived in the neighborhood for seven years, and there’s nothing more that I like to do than to support the local restaurants and businesses in my immediate neighborhood. It seems like I have tried this restaurant at least once maybe twice a year to keep giving them a try and every time it’s lame. In a family of six sometimes one of the six of you might have a bad order, but last night at Favela’s, all six of our orders were no good. My Carne Asada burrito was filled with mediocre beans and rice. My sons too. Reminded me of the old Wendy’s commercial “where’s the beef?” I counted there were like 10 small nickel size pieces of meat in the entire huge burrito! I hope a real Mexican restaurant comes to the neighborhood soon. I’m really writing this review for myself so next year when I have some urge to try it again I’m going to re-read this so I can save myself the disappointment.

Absolutely the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. I place an online order and when , I went to go pick up the order, they said they had no record of it.. I showed them the email confirmations the charges on my account and they said that They have no online orders. I asked them since I already paid and Again, I showed them my email confirmation, and the charges in my account, They still told me they can’t make the order and said I will need to dispute the charges with my bank!!!. First and last time I’ll ever go here!

In the past year this place has really gone down hill. I used to come every week for tacos or enchiladas but now anything else is better than here in the area.

They will look at you with disgust if you ask for a bit more, even for a side of salsa. I did ask for a refund but they insisted that they couldn’t do it. The woman/customer service isn’t as friendly as she/it used to be either. If you can save money and go to a burrito truck or somewhere else, I’d do it!

Tacos didn't even taste like tacos and looked like some peace of meat without anything else in it and no flavor. Salsa was very stale. Needless to continue on quesadilla; it was as bad as tacos. When we were leaving the woman at the cashier counter didn't even say anything and was doing something without paying any attention to us.
