Lotus Lounge at Hotel Monte Vista

Wonderful, energetic, classy cocktail bar. Located in the historic Monte Vista hotel, the Lotus Lounge has first rate service and excellent cocktails.

Everything we got was fantastic. The wait staff was amazing and tentative, the atmosphere was so friendly and welcoming. Had a fun drink called the Tokyo Drift! Comes with a little toy car, hilarious and perfect. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Great restaurant. Had a wonderful meal. The sushi was great and they have some unique items on the menu. A cool vibe inside, and the upstairs is a great place to eat. A touch quieter. Would go back to the restaurant again for sure.

Phenomenal! I'm staying at the Hotel Monte Vista and ordered room delivery from Lotus Lounge. My meal and cocktail were so delicious and arrived timely. I love the flavors and vibrant color pallette! The staff were so friendly and accommodating for me. Definitely eating from this restaurant again next time I visit.

Delicious restaurant right in downtown Flagstaff, connected to the Monte Vista that offers this and a cool coffee/ cocktail bar you can’t go wrong.

I’m from ny and this actually might be better than nobu. Staff was great and food was outstanding. Get the lychee sorbet too. Our Sebastian was very attentive and funny.

AMAZING!!!! Honestly my husband and I both feel like this was one of the best restaurants we’ve ever been to. We got spring rolls (WHICH WERE SO GOOD), orange chicken and fried rice, and a sushi roll. Oh and then we got the sorbet ugh it was SO good. We are coming back here 100% ! Oh and Sebastian our waiter was so so great too!!! Highly highly recommend to try this place out.

I have never been to Lotus Lounge. The night I went I saw that it was beautiful and very comfortable. I got to sit on the second floor and was afraid that the plastic chairs would be uncomfortable but they weren't. I also sat on the railing and got to enjoy my meal with the floating lights. Beautiful. I got the Udon but substituted the chicken for pork and it was very delicious. My waiter was friendly and sweet. I hope to go there again soon.

The service was amazing! I love the atmosphere. I will be back for more sushi. The food was exquisite! Well worth the price!

Went to dinner here the other night with my wife and some friends and had an absolute blast! Olivia the manager served us and bartended for us and we were very impressed by her service and ability to make us our drinks while carrying a conversation with us the whole time. The drinks we got she actually created herself and they were very tasty. Food was fantastic as well, especially the pork belly and red dragon sushi roll! They are the only sushi place in town that gets their sushi fresh, 10/10 would recommend!

This is my favorite place in town for date night. The atmosphere is really pretty and always very lively. My go-to is the Lotus roll which never disappoints! A few of their signature cocktails are great and I love that they dress them up with miniature cars and ninjas! :) Overall, it's a really fun spot!

We got so lucky to get an amazing dinner on a New Years Eve without reservation! The service was so nice, eventhough it was 20 minutes before closing. Very thankful for that and the food was very good! We got a steak, ramen, crab wontons and squid salad - everything was delicious.

We were there to celebrate our friends birthday. Server was awesome, brought ice cream for the birthday reveler and was funny and interactive with our group. The food was awesome, I don't think you can go wrong here. Although it's weird eating in the OPO, thinking of all the music I've seen there. They have done a great job remodeling and decorating the place, good vibes

Been going to lotus lounge sporadically for years. Never been let down here by the food, the staff, or the service. Excellent drink selection, great sushi for Arizona, and good group of folks. We did our courthouse wedding dinner here and they treated us like royalty. Sebastian and Tony are excellent. Thank you guys!

For dinner tonight was a place that I have been wanting to go forever and Liam loved it so we all went. Liam and Ruby two of my close besties wanted to get dinner with Dad and so we did. We got a variety of rolls, some tempura, crab rangoons and really good spring rolls. We loved the black dragon roll was excellent with the eel.

Service was great and food were good enough. We ordered two of their signature cocktails, the mortal kombat and the dragon’s breath. The mortal kombat was good but the dragon’s breath tasted like the dragon hasn’t brushed its teeth in 2,000 years. Wouldn’t recommend.

First time here, really enjoyed the chic and open space with trendy music and funky lights. The menu is diverse, primarily japanese cuisine, with ramen and poke and sushi and crab rangoons, etc. The bartenders were great, and the service was quick. $10 seemed a little steep for the 6 petite crab rangoons, although they did have real snow crab in them. Personally, it’s a little hard to justify the $15 entrance fee for a sushi roll. But I get it, rent is expensive in downtown Flagstaff.

Super fun space. Ordered the ramen and some sushi, both of which were tastey! Very fast service too.

This place is a great place if you JUST want to get drinks and a light desert. Other than that, I would avoid it. Portions are extremely small, food is decently good although the drinks are very mediocre. To top it all off, it's very expensive for what you get. I have no problem paying $15 for 1 drink, but I better enjoy it. I had the mortal combat and dragons breath and they were not it. The vibe of the place is great. Very well decorated and feels like a great hangout spot. Service was also great. Our waiter was super cool and was really nice. Overall, I would just get desert and drinks and hope you get a good tasting one. Skip the dinner.

Yakisoba bowl was a bit underwhelming. Needs more heat, fresher noodles, and the tofu was over-fried. I’d add some cashews, jalapeño, and fresher noodles along with more veggies and this dish would be wonderful. Ragoons were decent. Edamame was the usual, add salt and you can’t really mess those up. If you guys can hit some tastier notes on your menu this would be a sure 5 star but I feel like it’s around a 2.8 currently. Definitely way overpriced for the quality of food served.

If crap service and average food for a high price is your thing, then this is it! The atmosphere and location is nice.

Food was not great. Rolls had stinky fish, old rice and the ratio of fish to rice was very bad. The gyoza was clearly reheated and not good - not crunchy at all.Edamame was mushy(felt old) but fine. Service was great and a solid atmosphere. Also stupid expensive for the quality of sushi. Those prices are on par with top notch sushi restaurants - with those rolls it should be like 1/3 of the price. Would not recommend.

Very disappointed. We ordered red wine and they only had Cabernet, but I am not sure what wine was that. It was not dry, a little bit sweet. We ordered gyoza for appetizers, but send it back. It was horrible. My husband had pork belly, string beans was not edible. I ordered salmon. The portion was very small for the price they charge and I had to send back, because it was not cooked. The salad on my plate was saggy. The bottom line don’t expect a good food

We just placed a pick up order, and unfortunately, was not great. The vegetable tempura was soggy and the side of soy sauce lid was not on. Therefore, made them worse. They may want to try soy sauce packets instead.

Absolutely horrible experience, the hostess was nice, but the server was not attentive with bringing us waters, clearing out appetizers dishes when we got our entrees, and shorted us our change back when we paid cash. They burnt the sear of our steak, lack of flavor, potato were badly undercooked, and broccoli extremely sour; like dunked in lemon juice and tossed in the plate. We ordered two of the steaks and both were the same, especially for this dish being over $30 is very disappointing. Miso soup had a weird potent flavor that was overwhelming. The cucumber salad and edamame were good, and sushi was good. This is very disappointing since the place is a nice atmosphere, two story building. When we arrived there was also another couple unhappy with their meal, leaving the restaurant. If you eat here, the only thing worth trying is the sushi, don’t bother with any other entree. Lead/manager was receptive.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The hostess told me there would be a 45-minute wait because they needed to give their waitstaff a break, even though many tables were open. However, she informed a white family who arrived after us that the wait would only be 20 to 25 minutes. When I inquired about the sushi bar, she said the wait was the same there. Despite this, I observed several other families being seated immediately upon arrival. The sushi was really good. I would stick to sushi, not a fan of the other foods on the menu. The drinks were okay.

Terrible experience. I asked to speak to the manager, they sent a fake manager over so that the REAL manager didn't hear how Terrible the situation was. They knew they were in the wrong in a big way and tried to hide it. I couldn't believe it, nor could the real manager I tracked down. The service is horrible. Take a look at my reviews. I almost always give 5 stars, so if you're hearing this from me, it was as bad as it gets, especially if they sent over a fake manager, who also was just as rude as the other servers. These pictures are from the middle of our meal; we had to bus our own tables all night, and then we received attitude and were warned not to do so.

We walked by this morning, Oct. 23, 2021 and food was sitting in window overnight. Rice wasn't covered and out. Crab meat or pretend crab meat was out also, good luck to the people who get sick today. This place has the dumbest food workers ever. Look at new picture post. Yuck. I've been wanting to go here for quite sometime and we finally made it. Biggest disappointment ever. The food looked ok and sort of appealing. I had lettuce wraps, another person had orange chicken and the beef stir fry. Not enough lettuce for wraps, tasted ok but nothing to come back for. The orange chicken looked like tater tots and tasted about the same. The beef stir fry, wow, beef with freezer burns that you could taste. We mentioned this to our waiter and he took it to the back to ask manager. He took our beer off the bill, you've got to be kidding. The beer. All in all the worst $70.00 we ever spent for lunch. The Asian bowl at Jack in the Box is better. What a disappointment.

Lotus Lounge Flagstaff, AZ We traveled to Flagstaff on a Sunday on a holiday weekend. We walked in and recognized that it was almost closing time, asked if the kitchen was still open, they said yes and we were seated. All was well and the environment was quirky. While sitting we decided our meal, we ordered two rolls of sushi (California Roll and Chupacabra roll), and two bowls of beef ramen. The wait was not terribly bad -- we got our meal 25 minutes after ordering. We weren't bothered by the wait because we had fantastic customer service. When our meals arrived, there were obvious signs of low quality food. At a glance, the salmon in the Chupacabra roll was browning- an obvious sign that the fish had been out all day. Not only was this disgusting to witness, but this would be dangerous if we consumed it. Moreover, the avocados were rotten, and were definitely cut at the beginning of the morning and given to us at night. Furthermore, our ramen was by far the worst ramen I've had in my life. Not only was it flavorless, but the tap water that was used in the ramen had more flavor than the dish itself. Well actually, maybe the rotten tomato inside gave it some sort of kick. Quality control was notably fumbled when they sent out noodles that were hardened together and clearly scraped off the bottom of the pot. In addition, you would think the kitchen would notice a rotten sliced tomato garnished on the dish. In order for us to stomach this we were given a bottle of bubbly water, note we did not ask for mineral water, this was in fact foam from the city tap water. We declined to drink the water and asked for the check. By the outward look of this establishment, I believe that it has potential to be a thriving restaurant. Unfortunately, under both stress and pressure, this restaurant crumbled. My overall assessment of this restaurant is a stern 2/10. The only saving grace of this restaurant is the environment. The quirkiness of Lotus Lounge fostered an energy that can be shared by many. One could come here after a long day of work for a beer, not food, and have a great time -- fitting for the name "lounge." I left this restaurant feeling sick about the food I just had but with a smile that I got to share some time with some people that I love. What a 2/10 means is the following: You wouldn't recommend to a friend and if anyone were to recommend to have a meal at this restaurant; and you would encourage them not to go and suggest another option. If you do find yourself here, order something that would be considered simple and safe and avoid complex plates.

Waiter served us a dirty martini with flies in it. Ironic. When we showed it to him all he did was comp the drink and bring out a scoop of ice cream. No manager apologizing profusely, no comping of the entire meal. Pretty bad for a place charging $14 for said drink and $18 for a roll of sushi. I think I should go to the Flagstaff public health department with this.

$75 for simply awful food. Wings were undercooked and had so much sweet syrup on them you could barely taste chicken. The orange chicken with fried rice was smaller than a Panda Express bowl and the chicken and the rice you could tell were pre-made. The Bao buns barely had any meat in them the rolls were cold and stale and the sauce inside tasted like something you put on desert....inedible.it took over 20 minutes to get drinks, never offered refills. When the waitress came by, she asked how the food was and I said not that good and she said, "gotcha". I used to be a chef and owned a restaurant and all the food was made fresh to order, no precooking and my staff was trained to be more attentive .Also, the menu said all day Happy Hour on Appetizers but we were charged full price and the excuse was not those Appetizers even though it said all. Being it was our anniversary, it made it worse. As you can see...management stopped responding to reviews a year ago

The hostess put our party of four on the waitlist at 6:55 on a Sunday evening, telling us the wait was expected to be 35 minutes. After the initial Open Table text, we didn’t hear from them again. We remained in the third position on the Open Table website until they closed at 8 pm without reaching out.
